Jupiter trine Chiron.

Jupiter, at 26° Leo 16’, forms a trine aspect with Chiron at 26° Aries 16’ in early January, not too long after it first formed in early December. This is the second of three such aspects while Jupiter is in late Leo and early Virgo and Chiron is in late Aries and early Taurus. [Note: Often, aspects formed between outer planets and slow-moving points occur three times in a set due to retrograde motion.]

The Chiron retrograde period in Aries and Taurus has been one of reassessing our mental health and healing journeys, programs, or efforts.

Chiron now stations and turns direct, ending its retrograde cycle. With this shift, we can feel vulnerable–emotional truths about matters we’ve been avoiding or confused about are beginning to emerge now and in the coming weeks. These may not always be comfortable, but they can motivate us to take appropriate action.

Chiron is now on the last leg of its transit of the sign Aries.

The New Moon is exact on January 7th when the Sun and Moon align in the sign of Capricorn. This lunation symbolizes a new beginning in the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn. It’s a time to focus on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Goat–tenacious, resourceful, disciplined, wise, ambitious, prudent, constant–and consider how to positively incorporate these qualities into our lives.

Mars spends its retrograde cycle in two signs this time around: Virgo and Leo.

Why two signs? Mars first turns retrograde when it’s about one third through the sign of Virgo, at 10 degrees Virgo 26. At this point, it begins to move backward through the zodiac, retreating into the sign of Leo on February 21st.

The Sun in the first degree of Pisces opposes retrograde Mars in the first degree of Virgo on February 19th, 2027 (the Sun only opposes Mars while Mars is retrograde).

Mars is in its pre-retrograde shadow period from November 5th, 2026, forward, and is in its post-retrograde shadow until June 7th, 2027.

When Mars is in its retrograde cycle, we must re-assess our current projects, our approach to getting what we want, and our desire nature. Rather than directly assert our desires, we tend towards introspection.

Although Mars in direct motion is direct, straightforward, assertive, and aggressive, when it’s retrograde, Mars energy is essentially turned inward–it’s internalized, intensified, personalized, and perhaps pressurized. We can be hesitant about taking action, second-guessing our instincts or our natural impulses rather than acting upon them.

The way we react to situations under normal conditions doesn’t necessarily work for us now, or we don’t exactly trust our instincts during the retrograde phase of Mars.

When we internalize anger, there can be some rather challenging byproducts, such as tension, resentment, depression, apathy, and even some paranoia. On the other hand, we might choose to personalize it and make it more intimate.

With Mars retrograde in Virgo (January 10th to February 21st), compulsive tendencies may be strong. Virgo energy is detail-oriented and particular, and these qualities can be expressed in both positive and negative ways. During this Mars Rx cycle, we might obsess over details that don’t truly matter. Dwelling over who’s wrong and who’s right may be a problem.

Virgo rules work, health, self-care programs, pets, and daily routines, and we may now need to reassess our approach to these matters. These are life departments where we might feel frustrated or anxious. It’s humility we should strive for, as it is the only path to honesty with ourselves and others.

Health issues may be a factor (especially in areas ruled by Virgo–digestion, intestines, bowels, spleen), and accidents a possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period. Reworking and redefining current projects may be especially satisfying.

With Mars retrograde in Leo specifically (from February 21st to April 1st), pride can push us to greater heights, but it can also keep us from expressing our true feelings, for example, or prevent us from truly learning from our experiences and from others. With Mars retrograde in Leo, we might see more sulking or pulling away to make a point. Leo rules children, creativity, recreational pleasure, entertainment, and romance. As such, we may need to re-assess our approach to these matters. We might feel some frustration or anxiety about these matters.

Projects may not get off the ground as planned, perhaps due to hesitation, caution, and fear of taking risks. Health issues may be a factor (especially in areas ruled by Leo–the heart and back), and accidents a possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period.

Any planet that is retrograde is an especially strong and dominant energy in our lives during the retrograde period. Because it is closest to the earth during the cycle, the energy of the planet, while dominant, is more challenging to harness in a controlled, conscious manner. This can lead to irrational behaviors and reactions, particularly since Mars rules action and initiative.

Wherever you find Mars transiting your chart during the retrograde period, you could be especially preoccupied with the affairs associated with that house and/or planet. Some of us experience a lessening of interest, initiative, and enthusiasm in these areas of life during the retrograde cycle, particularly as Mars begins to slow down (in November 2025). While Mars is “moving backwards” (from January 10 to April 1, 2027), there could be some backtracking in these areas, perhaps even some losses. It’s a period of review.

Working on long-term projects has better results than embarking on entirely new projects. Enthusiasm builds slowly but surely as Mars moves direct again (after April 1st).

Our goal during a Mars retrograde period should not be, however, to simply sit on our impulses or to squelch our enthusiasm. Rather, it should be to better understand our impulses, survival instincts, anger, sexuality, inner courage, and the ways we go about getting what we want from life. The cosmos are asking us to look before we leap rather than throwing ourselves into action, just for the time being.

Uranus sextile Neptune

Uranus, at 1° Gemini 56′, forms a sextile with Neptune, at 1° Aries 56′ on January 15th, 2027. This is the fourth of five in this set (as with many outer-planet transits, this aspect repeats multiple times over the course of many months).

When Uranus and Neptune connect, we want to shake up the status quo. We can be visionary and inspired.

With Uranus forming a sextile to Neptune, we’re seeking (and finding) illumination. It’s a time of more openness to alternative ways of living, believing, and expression. We’re receptive to different or unusual experiences and ideas.

At the same time, we’re averse to any form of force-feeding spirituality or belief systems, preferring our freedom to follow our intuition. It’s a time to reform and update how we express compassion, care for the underprivileged, pursue our dreams, seek escapes, and do art and creativity. However, we can also be more sensitive to stimulants.

Note that this aspect occurs very infrequently, and when it does, it usually occurs in sets of three or more due to retrograde motion. For example, it occurred in 1966-1968, first forming exactly in September 1966, then again in January 1967, July 1967, April 1968, and May 1968.

In 2025-2027, Uranus forms a sextile to Neptune in August 2025, November 2025, July 2026, January 2027, and finally, June 2027. Effectively, it’s in play from August 2025 to June 2027. It happens in the signs of Taurus-Pisces and Gemini-Aries.

The Full Moon in Leo marks a strong awareness of our feelings on a matter.

The Moon is full when the Aquarius Sun opposes the Moon in Leo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

The Leo-Aquarius polarity deals with the balance between all that is personal (Leo) and all that is impersonal (Aquarius). The energy of the Leo Moon is creative self-expression and the boost to the individual ego that we receive through pleasure and romance, while the Aquarius Sun rules the group, more impersonal friendships, and objectivity. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between romance and friendship, and between expressing ourselves in personal and impersonal ways.

The Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Sun, while individualistic as well, values independence and the “team.” The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.

With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems.

The Moon is New in Aquarius on February 6, 2027, at 10:56 AM EST. This New Moon is a Solar Eclipse.

This eclipse is the third in a Leo-Aquarius set. Its effects can be felt for up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Aquarius, this eclipse is about friendship, fellowship, group activities, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, humanitarian efforts, or joining a group. This New Moon eclipse might challenge these matters and present opportunities for new beginnings. Long-term changes are in the works!

This phase of the Moon occurs at 17 degrees and 38 minutes of Aquarius.

A similar Solar Eclipse (at approximately the same degree of Aquarius) occurred on February 7th, 2008. Before that, similar degrees and signs happened in eclipses on  February 5th, 2000, and February 4th, 1981. An eclipse set along the Leo-Aquarius axis most recently occurred from 2016-2019. Before that, it was from 2008-2009.

This eclipse can highlight and challenge our issues surrounding our social connections, place in society, friendships, alliances, and innovative approaches. We might take steps toward improving in these areas by tackling things that undermine our goals or connections.

Circumstances nudge or encourage us to see where we haven’t been true to our authentic selves. Ultimately, we are now in a position to understand that changes or endings are necessary for our own growth, and that we can handle these things.

This is a time when we should solve problems that require thinking “outside of the box.” We look to the future with a new, positive, and hopeful vision, frequently brainstorm and socialize, and focus on extending a friendly hand, receiving support, and expressing platonic love for those around us. It’s a time to give our emotions and passions a “break,” as we develop more objectivity and some detachment from past haunts.

We might learn how something (or someone) works or revitalize ourselves through experiences that are new or simply different.

This cycle encourages us to reach out to people in our social circle and in our community, and recognize the value of our friendships and social networks. We might also recognize that some level of detachment and distancing ourselves from our habits and attachment to the past will help us break away from destructive behaviors that are holding us back.

With this potent Aquarius energy, we have the chance to make progressive changes in our lives. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters.

Aquarius teaches us that it can be all too easy to slip into feelings of being alone in the world (“it’s me against the world”) and to forget that there is support to be found, if only we reach out and find it. Similarly, there are solutions to our problems, if only we develop faith that answers are available to us, and we reach out to find those solutions. It is a time to consider, appreciate, and value our place in the community and in our social circle, and to give something back.

It’s a powerful time to re-evaluate our happiness goals and alliances.

This New Moon opposes Jupiter, and we should watch for overshooting or prematurely beginning something new. This eclipse also occurs close to a Mercury-Mars Rx opposition, suggesting impatience, and especially speaking before we’re ready to make a move, can be a problem.

Flaws in an important system in our lives reveal themselves around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the “new” may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.

An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the North Node of the Moon. While we’re heading into unknown territory in some ways, we have a good sense that we’re doing so to our advantage.

Uranus has been retrograde since September 10th, 2026, and with its station now, Uranian energy hangs heavy in the air this week. As the planet gains speed in the next few weeks, our urge to express our unique selves, take some chances or risks, rebel, listen to our instincts, and stir up change are reawakened or externalized.

Mercury now turns retrograde at 5° Pisces 59′.

Mercury is retrograde from February 9, 2027, at 5° Pisces 59′, until March 3, 2027, at 20° Aquarius 55′.

The shadow period begins on January 25th and ends on March 23rd.

Mercury Retrograde February 9 to March 3, 2027

• On January 25, 2027, Mercury enters the Retrograde Zone (pre-retrograde shadow) at 20° Aquarius 55′

The year 2027’s first retrograde Mercury cycle takes place in the signs of Pisces and Aquarius.

Mercury’s shadow period begins on January 25th and ends on March 23rd. Note that the shadow period begins before Mercury turns retrograde–when Mercury first passes over the degree that Mercury later returns to in retrograde motion. The shadow period ends when Mercury again passes over the degree at which it first turned retrograde. The shadow period is different than Mercury’s storm period in astrology, which refers to the period when Mercury is moving especially slowly.

Note that Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow is generally better for new long-term endeavors than the pre-retrograde shadow. For new enterprises in the pre-retrograde shadow, the venture’s secondary progressed Mercury will turn direction (retrograde) in the coming years, which may not be ideal.

Also consider that things are most wonky on and around the days of the stations whether Mercury is turning retrograde OR direct (the start and end dates of the retrograde cycle) as the shifts occur, after which we grow more accustomed to the energy.

Mercury is retrograde approximately three times a year for approximately three weeks each time. As such, retrograde Mercury is a fairly common occurrence (Mercury is retrograde approximately 18% of the time).

As the planet of communication, Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion. Mercury rules our “lower” mind–how we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others. Mercury has rulership over such things as speaking, negotiating, buying and selling, listening, formal contracts, documents, travel, the mail and shipping, and so forth. All of these areas of life are affected when Mercury is functioning in a sluggish state. Decision-making is challenged during Mercury retrograde.

Needless to say, it is not advised to sign contracts, engage in important decision-making, or launch a new business. Delays and challenges are more probable with Mercury retrograde. It’s a time when being careless with money, our personal information, or paperwork can be costly.

While Mercury is retrograde, we may be rethinking a previous opinion or idea. Looking to the signs and houses it transits can give clues as to what we may be reconsidering. In Pisces this time, we are reconsidering matters of faith or compassion, spiritual or emotional health practices, and issues of closure and unfinished business.

While Mercury is retrograde in the sign of Pisces, we may be returning to past projects and refining or tweaking them. We can find usefulness in old or past ideas and recycle them in new ways. We might consider scrapping a need for closure on a particular matter, for example, recognizing that the best closure sometimes involves accepting that there isn’t closure! We can be especially spacey when it comes to facts and figures. Convoluted directions and instructions can be a problem. However, we may be more able to tap into our inner muse and come up with especially inventive ideas.

On February 18th, during this Mercury retrograde cycle, Mercury will return to the sign of Aquarius.

The Moon is Full in Virgo on February 20, 2027, at 6:23 PM EST. This is a penumbral Lunar Eclipse.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun opposes the Moon, and in this case, when the Sun in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. Certainly, it can be an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 2 degrees and 6 minutes of Virgo opposite the Sun at 2 degrees and 6 minutes of Pisces.

It’s the seventh and final eclipse in a set of seven occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis from September 17th, 2024, to February 20th, 2027. The first one was a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. While we’ve been focusing on building our faith, this February eclipse in Virgo prompts us to consider getting organized and how it affects the work-rest balance.

This eclipse serves as a final prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Virgo- and Pisces-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify.

It’s a time to resolve matters, strike a balance, take a lesson, and move on, but take some time with this–eclipses can temporarily hide a part of our lives for us to focus on another. Ultimately, we should be striving for a balance.

This eclipse affects people with personal planets and points at 0 to 7 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and 27 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. With the Virgo-Pisces axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants concerning the balance between Virgo-ruled and Pisces-ruled areas of life. We are encouraged to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).

Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.

The contrast between precise, logical, work-centered, factual Virgo and spiritual, compassionate, holistic Pisces comes into full bloom. The energy of the Virgo Moon prompts awareness of the need for more precision, attention to detail, and responsibility. Over the coming months, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, it’s difficult to sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

Emotions, feelings, and revelations in the weeks following this eclipse are pivotal. This is a rewarding Full Moon eclipse, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. However, it can take some time before we get the whole picture.

A crisis of sorts (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts.

Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened at this time. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic–everything feels big and larger than life at this time. Epiphanies are likely as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action, although there can be some initial level of chaos.

However, it’s important to note that we’re temporarily in the dark about a matter at the time of an eclipse, and we’re seeing another area of life as if we’re looking at it through a magnifying glass. It’s distorted—we don’t yet have the full picture. This perspective does help us, ultimately, but it’s wise to remember that we’re missing something and to defer judgment.

This is a time to work on clearing up past patterns that have been holding us back from fulfillment in our everyday lives.

Revelations coming in can be blown up and dramatic but not discountable since they come from real feelings. With eclipses, we get a strong emphasis on one area of life but a blackout in another area, and it makes sense to wait to make big decisions for when we can see the whole picture.

This Lunar Eclipse can have a way of bringing dysfunctional areas of our lives to our attention. Emotions and realizations feel big. Plans can blossom.

Through events, circumstances, and epiphanies after the time of this eclipse, we learn that we need to get in touch with our needs for a stronger connection with our routines, work, and physical health needs. To feel fulfilled, we need to acknowledge and embrace our need for our daily routines to serve us well.

We become aware of where we have been overdoing our focus on replenishment where it’s come at the expense of living an organized life.

Mars spends its retrograde cycle this year in two signs: Virgo and Leo. At this time, retrograde Mars returns to the sign of Leo.

Why two signs? Mars first turned retrograde when it was about one third through the sign of Virgo, at 10 degrees Virgo 26. At that point, it began to move backward through the zodiac, retreating into the sign of Leo now, on February 21st.

Mars was in its pre-retrograde shadow period from November 5th, 2026, forward, and will be in its post-retrograde shadow until June 7th, 2027.

When Mars is in its retrograde cycle, we must re-assess our current projects, our approach to getting what we want, and our desire nature. Rather than directly assert our desires, we tend towards introspection.

Although Mars in direct motion is direct, straightforward, assertive, and aggressive, when it’s retrograde, Mars energy is essentially turned inward–it’s internalized, intensified, personalized, and perhaps pressurized. We can be hesitant about taking action, second-guessing our instincts or our natural impulses rather than acting upon them.

The way we react to situations under normal conditions doesn’t necessarily work for us now, or we don’t exactly trust our instincts during the retrograde phase of Mars.

When we internalize anger, there can be some rather challenging byproducts, such as tension, resentment, depression, apathy, and even some paranoia. On the other hand, we might choose to personalize it and make it more intimate.

With Mars retrograde in Virgo (January 10th to February 21st), compulsive tendencies were strong. Virgo energy is detail-oriented and particular, and these qualities can be expressed in both positive and negative ways. During this Mars Rx cycle, we might have obsessed over details that didn’t truly matter. Dwelling over who’s wrong and who’s right may have been a problem.

Virgo rules work, health, self-care programs, pets, and daily routines, and we may have had to reassess our approach to these matters. These were life departments where we might have felt frustrated or anxious. It’s humility we should strive for, as it is the only path to honesty with ourselves and others.

Health issues may have been a factor (especially in areas ruled by Virgo–digestion, intestines, bowels, spleen), and accidents a possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period. Reworking and redefining current projects may be especially satisfying.

With Mars retrograde in Leo specifically (from February 21st to April 1st), pride can push us to greater heights, but it can also keep us from expressing our true feelings, for example, or prevent us from truly learning from our experiences and from others.

With Mars retrograde in Leo, we might see more sulking or pulling away to make a point. Leo rules children, creativity, recreational pleasure, entertainment, and romance. As such, we may need to re-assess our approach to these matters. We might feel some frustration or anxiety about these matters.

Projects may not get off the ground as planned, perhaps due to hesitation, caution, and fear of taking risks. Health issues may be a factor (especially in areas ruled by Leo–the heart and back), and accidents a possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period.

Any planet that is retrograde is an especially strong and dominant energy in our lives during the retrograde period. Because it is closest to the earth during the cycle, the energy of the planet, while dominant, is more challenging to harness in a controlled, conscious manner. This can lead to irrational behaviors and reactions, particularly since Mars rules action and initiative.

Wherever you find Mars transiting your chart during the retrograde period, you could be especially preoccupied with the affairs associated with that house and/or planet. Some of us experience a lessening of interest, initiative, and enthusiasm in these areas of life during the retrograde cycle, particularly as Mars begins to slow down (in November 2025). While Mars is “moving backwards” (from January 10 to April 1, 2027), there could be some backtracking in these areas, perhaps even some losses. It’s a period of review.

Working on long-term projects has better results than embarking on entirely new projects. Enthusiasm builds slowly but surely as Mars moves direct again (after April 1st).

Our goal during a Mars retrograde period should not be, however, to simply sit on our impulses or to squelch our enthusiasm. With Jupiter opposition North Node, we may be avoiding our need to contribute to the community by prioritizing our personal needs and lives. Jupiter’s alignment with the South Node of the Moon (which is the same as its opposition to the North Node) points to a tendency to grab at things that comfort us but are no longer serving us well in our growth and development. We should watch for these types of excesses, which can magnify at this time.

It can be difficult to trust our intuition under this influence until we can learn to embrace our need to explore, discover, and branch out, detaching ourselves from time to time from our intense personal focus. While Jupiter encourages us to embrace our personal life, if we don’t balance our vision with our responsibilities to others, we may stagnate or flounder.

We can frequently find ourselves at odds with one another over our viewpoints or moral values during this transit. We’re now encouraged to consider new ideas or experiences. The key is to aim for a balance instead of a tug-of-war. It’s time to give back to others to keep the flow of abundance constant.

The year 2027’s first retrograde Mercury cycle took place in the signs of Pisces and Aquarius and ends now.

Mercury’s shadow period began on January 25th and will end on March 23rd. Note that the shadow period begins before Mercury turns retrograde–when Mercury first passes over the degree that Mercury later returns to in retrograde motion. The shadow period ends when Mercury again passes over the degree at which it first turned retrograde. The shadow period is different than Mercury’s storm period in astrology, which refers to the period when Mercury is moving especially slowly.

Note that Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow is generally better for new long-term endeavors than the pre-retrograde shadow. For new enterprises in the pre-retrograde shadow, the venture’s secondary progressed Mercury will turn direction (retrograde) in the coming years, which may not be ideal.

Also consider that things are most wonky on and around the days of the stations whether Mercury is turning retrograde OR direct (the start and end dates of the retrograde cycle) as the shifts occur, after which we grow more accustomed to the energy.

Mercury is retrograde approximately three times a year for approximately three weeks each time. As such, retrograde Mercury is a fairly common occurrence (Mercury is retrograde approximately 18% of the time).

As the planet of communication, Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion. Mercury rules our “lower” mind–how we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others. Mercury has rulership over such things as speaking, negotiating, buying and selling, listening, formal contracts, documents, travel, the mail and shipping, and so forth. All of these areas of life are affected when Mercury is functioning in a sluggish state. Decision-making is challenged during Mercury retrograde.

Needless to say, it is not advised to sign contracts, engage in important decision-making, or launch a new business. Delays and challenges are more probable with Mercury retrograde. It’s a time when being careless with money, our personal information, or paperwork can be costly.

While Mercury was retrograde, we may have been rethinking a previous plan or pursuit. Looking to the signs and houses it transits can give clues as to what we may be deciding. This retrograde began in Pisces, and we were reconsidering matters of faith or compassion, spiritual or emotional health practices, and unfinished business. Mercury later returned to Aquarius, and we were reviewing our friendships, alliances, social activities, and group associations. Seeing these things differently can lead to adjustments.

Now that Mercury is direct, slowly but surely, information unclogs, and we can move on. Ideally, while Mercury was retrograde, we had the chance to catch up, refine details, and change our minds if needed.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Taurus forms an opposition to the Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 0 degrees and 37 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 27 to 30 of the Cardinal signs and 0 to 5 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio).

While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages happiness with the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Moon draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries.

Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out.

Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings — we need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives.

However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.

NOTE: a second Full Moon in the sign of Scorpio will occur on May 20th, 2027. This first one is in the first degree of Scorpio, and the second one, occurring in May, will be in the final degree of Scorpio. As such, this one is the first step in our discoveries, setting the stage for future work and revelations.

We are excited about making changes, but there can be some suspiciousness, fear of loss, or anxiety involved with our revelations now with the lunation widely square Pluto. Certainly, the Sun’s alignment with Chiron at the time of this Full Moon suggests that our sense of mission and purpose is strongly tied in with our discoveries at this time. This lunation is triggering our vulnerabilities, particularly about feelings of lack, want, and neglect. A feeling that we’re not secure, stable, or protected can play a big role in our revelations.

This is the final of three such aspects while Jupiter is in Leo and the True North Node is in Aquarius.
