Venus returns to the sign of Pisces today as it continues its retrograde motion. Venus began its retrograde cycle on March 1st in the sign of Aries, and today it returns to Pisces.

Venus will continue to transit Pisces until April 30th, but will only be retrograde until April 12th. After entering Pisces today, Venus aligns with Neptune. Neptune is very close to leaving the sign of Pisces, and this conjunction is a special, powerful symbol as it occurs in the last degree of Pisces (and of the zodiac). We may be returning to an issue that hasn’t been closed and attempting to connect with our need for romance, compassion, and acceptance.

Venus first aligned with Neptune on February 1st; it returns in retrograde motion today and will form again on May 2nd, but by that time, the conjunction will be in the sign of Aries.

Venus-Neptune is a gentle and sometimes subtle influence that heightens our sensitivity to — and awareness of — beauty and spirituality. We can feel renewed on creative levels. With this transit, we are easily influenced, seducible, and seductive. Our imaginations are immense, for better or for worse. Psychic openness and compassion are themes in our interactions now.

It can be a magical time on a romantic or social level, although it could also be a confusing or illusory influence.
