Mars stations and turns direct today after retrograde motion since December 6th, 2024. This evening, the fiery planet is stationary as it begins direct motion. Mars energy hangs heavy in the air today (and this week) as Mars changes direction.

Slowly but surely, over the coming weeks, we will likely rebuild our enthusiasm. Projects that have stalled move forward, and we begin to feel more confident and assertive. We may change our minds about recent decisions or projects as priorities become more explicit. Ideally, we’ve learned more about our desires, and motivation levels increase. As the shift occurs today, however, it’s best to wait and see.

Before Mars turns direct today, Mercury forms a trine to Mars, stirring a strong desire to do something with our ideas, learn, teach, or discuss. We are exceptionally alert and aware, and there is excitement or energy in our conversations. We also feel more passionately about our interests and discoveries.

Still, Mercury’s semi-square with Pluto can find us mildly skeptical later today. This influence can excite some tension or mental distress and worry. We tend to obsess over an issue that we can’t control.
