Mercury stations and turns retrograde today, beginning a retrograde cycle that will last until April 7th.  Some delays or information clogs are possible in the weeks ahead.

During this cycle, our thinking turns inward as we review and reassess matters. Mercury retrograde periods can be times of heightened inner awareness–times when meditation, journaling, reworking old plans, and reviewing past work are favored more than usual.

Minor breaks in the mechanical aspects of communication and transportation can reconnect us to other, possibly more meaningful, means of connecting.

This can be a strong period for reviewing our initiative, courage, and independence. We might look at projects, items, situations, problems, and even people in new ways.

Mercury begins its retrograde in the sign of Aries and will head back into Pisces on March 29th. Having both Venus and Mercury retrograde in the signs of Aries and Pisces is notable.

With the station occurring today and the Moon opposing Venus and Mercury, both currently retrograde in Aries, there can be disconnects, especially between our emotions and intellect or sensibilities. Minor disagreements, often about sensitivity to one another’s feelings, are more likely now, and our affections are complicated.

There can also be a battle between our need to consult with others and our desire to act independently or our impulse to go rogue.
