The Full Moon occurs on Saturday, April 12th, when the Sun in Aries forms an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.

The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise.

Mars enters Leo

Mars is in Leo from April 18th to June 17th, 2025. Note that Mars first entered Leo on November 3rd, 2024, but later, while retrograde, it returned to the sign of Cancer on January 6th, 2025, and has been in Cancer since then. Today, Mars enters Leo once again, and this time, it will transit the sign through to the end.

In Leo, Mars is proud, self-confident, and grand. We are spirited and have lofty goals. We go after what we want in a direct, self-assured manner, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details, and we take the least complicated route to our goals. The sex drive is strong, and passion for life is high.

Mars in Leo can awaken a competitive spirit or drive. We’re more willing to take risks to get what we want. We also tend to make a splash, and we want to be in the driver’s seat. Venus enters Aries

Venus is in Aries from February 4 to March 27, 2025, and then April 30 to June 6, 2025. This two-step, drawn-out pattern is unusual for Venus due to the Venus retrograde period from March 1 to April 12, 2025: retrograde Venus divided its time between Aries and Pisces in 2025.

With Venus in Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past–it’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.

Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to the sign. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 22 degrees and 13 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 18 to 26 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio).

While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. Knowledge and diversity motivate us with the Sun in Gemini. We are more sociable, intellectual, and insatiably curious under this influence. We tend to scatter our energies due to this curiosity and awareness of all of our options. We are more communicative and versatile, but we can also be unreliable.

Gemini represents duality and mediation. Gemini’s energy is intelligent, optimistic, observant, and adaptable. It’s skeptical, ready to consider alternate ways of thinking. We’re prepared to trade, share, exchange, pass on news, teach, guide, and learn.

Venus enters Taurus

Venus is in Taurus from June 6 to July 4, 2025. In Taurus, Venus is naturally very sensual, content, and possessive. We seek security and value those things that are long-lasting. Our appetite for pleasure is strong.

The sign of Taurus values the here and now and the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance figure strongly during the Venus-in-Taurus cycle. Holding on to someone or something we love is our tendency under this influence.

Jupiter enters Cancer

Jupiter is in Cancer from June 9, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

Jupiter spends a little over a year in the sign of Cancer.

In Cancer, Jupiter motivates us to honor our intuition, emotions, families, and inner needs, and to build our support systems.

During this Jupiter in Cancer cycle, we place strong emphasis and value on the emotions and instincts to nurture. We attract the most good fortune when we are sympathetic, charitable, use our powers to save and accumulate, and comfort others. Real estate, child care, mother care, and the food industry can be prosperous avenues.

We see opportunities to grow and succeed through emotional channels, expanding our own foundations, and building our families. We are more inclined to believe that emotional intelligence is the major keys to solving problems. Connecting intimately is valued.

With a Water sign Jupiter, we have a strong belief in a higher power. We are most able to attract luck and rich life experiences through our intuition, imagination, and compassion. Helping those in need boosts our own morale.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Gemini opposes the Moon in Sagittarius. A time of culmination, the Full Moon promises to fulfill what we started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

During this Full Moon, we have the opportunity to become more fully aware of what has been lacking or missing in our lives. This is a time for personal growth, particularly in terms of learning, adventure, spirited living, communicating, sharing, and commuting.

The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind.” The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit and think more broadly. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is comfortable in its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stirs us to venture beyond it.

It’s important to remember that neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. However, the Full Moon invites us to find a balance between the two energies, guiding us towards a harmonious state.

In Virgo, Mars is somewhat of a workhorse. We have a passion for details, as well as a need to do the right thing at just the right time under this influence. The satisfaction of a job well done is one of our greatest incentives now. We are more precise and concerned about performance.

We’re more exacting and concerned with correctness and details in our work, output, or efforts during this cycle. It’s a time of greater caution, skepticism, and discipline. We tend to focus on details and plans, sometimes losing sight of the bigger picture.

During this transit, we may find ourselves more interested in health and nutrition. This can lead to a proactive approach to our well-being. The transit also encourages a perfectionistic or workaholic streak, pushing us to excel and master a particular skill. It highlights work with details or requiring precision, such as surgery, bookkeeping, crafts, and musical instruments. It also draws attention to the healing arts, and a keen interest in how things work, techniques, mechanics, and systems.

Be prepared for a time of potential irritability, tension, or nervousness during this transit. The New Moon in Cancer is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Crab. These include honoring our deepest, most irrational and intimate, feelings; recognizing the sense of security and safety we derive from whatever it is we call home; allowing ourselves to accept support and offering support to others; and starting a project aimed at improving our domestic lives or a major long-term venture.

With this potent Cancer energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle.

It’s time to make some plans and set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs. Concentrate on new ways to enhance family life and domestic affairs, and to build up your feelings of security and safety.

This New Moon aligns with Jupiter and harmonizes with Mars, creating positive and confident energy behind our new beginnings. However, it also forms a quincunx to Pluto and a square to the Saturn-Neptune alignment, complicating things greatly. As much as we want to push ahead with our plans, there can be personal obstacles and blocks primarily related to our independence and personal plans, as well as nagging concerns and fears in our social lives to manage.

Mercury enters Leo

Mercury is in Leo from June 26-September 2, 2025. [This is an extended stay in the Leo sign due to an upcoming Mercury retrograde cycle from July 18th to August 11th, entirely in Leo]

When Mercury is in Leo, our thinking is more confident and grand. The focus is now on the goal–and the grander a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now. We are more expressive, even theatrical and given to speech-giving and story-telling under this influence.

We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write. With this transit, we may not listen as well as we normally do since we’re very focused on our own ideas.

We’re also strong about making decisions ourselves and letting our voices and input be heard. This is not a time when we’re content with letting others make all the moves or decisions–we need to be involved. We take the lead, manage, direct, and create while Mercury is in Leo. We need to relate to information or create stories about it to absorb it well. During this cycle, we should watch for being too inflexible, proud, or haughty to change course.
