The Moon is Full in Leo on February 1, 2026, at 5:09 PM EST.
The Full Moon in Leo marks a strong awareness of our feelings on a matter.
The Moon is full when the Aquarius Sun opposes the Moon in Leo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Leo-Aquarius polarity deals with the balance between all that is personal (Leo) and all that is impersonal (Aquarius). The energy of the Leo Moon is creative self-expression and the boost to the individual ego that we receive through pleasure and romance, while the Aquarius Sun rules the group, more impersonal friendships, and objectivity. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between romance and friendship, and between expressing ourselves in personal and impersonal ways.
The Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Sun, while individualistic as well, values independence and the “team.” The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems.
Over the coming weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is not particularly rational as yet.
The same Full Moon in Leo chart with additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 13 degrees and 4 minutes of Leo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 9 to 17 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

Uranus has been retrograde since September 6th, 2025, and with its station now, Uranian energy hangs heavy in the air this week. As the planet gains speed in the next few weeks, our urge to express our unique selves, take some chances or risks, rebel, listen to our instincts, and stir up change are reawakened or externalized.
Note that Uranus began its retrograde in the sign of Gemini, but while retrograde, Uranus returned to the sign of Taurus. This is its final run through Taurus before moving into Gemini consistently.

Mercury enters Pisces
Mercury is in Pisces from February 6-April 14.
Why so long? Mercury spends more time in the sign of Pisces in 2026 due to its upcoming retrograde cycle (Mercury will be retrograde from February 26th to March 20th, 2026).
When Mercury is in Pisces, our thinking processes are more visual, intuitive, and imaginative. We are especially attuned to the world of emotion, which colors both our thoughts and our communication style.
We guess well, express ourselves with imagery, and make decisions intuitively. We are more attracted to consciousness-raising information.
It’s not always easy to verbalize our impressions during this cycle. We don’t enjoy pinning down, labeling, or strictly defining things. We recognize that life isn’t always logical, and we prefer not to think in black and white terms. We’re sensitive and impressionable, which means we can take in more than usual and it can sometimes overwhelm us. Pisces needs periodic time alone or within to regenerate and detox.

Venus enters Pisces
Venus is in Pisces from February 10 to March 6, 2026. Venus enters the sign of Pisces today.
Pisces never sees the world in black-and-white terms. Rather, Pisces sees all the colors of the rainbow. With the goddess of love in Pisces, our love is all-embracing, we are able to forgive and understand, we are seducible and seductive, and we show compassion to our partners.
Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach, as there is a longing for something that is difficult to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deceived because we want to believe, as well as evasiveness. We should watch for falling in love with an idealized image of something or someone. It’s also important to watch for avoidant or indirect behavior.
Venus is exalted in Pisces and does well in the sign. It’s devoted, compassionate, exceptionally giving, and capable of sacrifice. We might refer heavily on our intuition with our finances and love life during this cycle. We gravitate to–and appreciate–unusual, tossed aside, poetic, artistic objects, situations, and people. We seek activities that move, inspire, or touch us.
Money may slip through our fingers, or we could ignore or overlook some of the practical elements of our lives now. However, finances improve if we connect with our otherworldly talents, imagination, desire to heal and serve, or sense of mission.
This transit is not particularly strong for resolve or determination, but it’s good for adaptability and increased understanding or acceptance.

Saturn enters the sign of Aries
Saturn first was in Aries from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025, but then it returned to Pisces to finish its transit. Now, Saturn is in Aries, where it will stay until 2028! Saturn is in Aries from today, February 13, 2026, to Apr 12, 2028.
- May 24, 2025 11:35 PM Saturn enters Aries
- Sep 1, 2025 4:06 AM Saturn Rx enters Pisces
- Feb 13, 2026 7:11 PM Saturn enters Aries
- Apr 12, 2028 11:39 PM Saturn enters Taurus
While Saturn is in Aries, we may initially experience frustration when pursuing our individual goals. We can feel uncomfortable with big shows of individuality or me-centered behavior while Saturn is in Aries. However, this period also presents a unique opportunity for personal growth. As we learn to balance our individual needs with collective responsibilities, we can overcome this discomfort. By recognizing the necessity for this balanced attention, we can expand our potential for personal development. Otherwise, we might inadvertently limit ourselves.
In recent years, there has been much attention to the self. Aries energies have been revered and celebrated. Saturn in Aries aims to moderate this focus where it’s been excessive. We become more critical of this celebration, noting where a “me-first” attitude or “express your true self” at all costs has worked against us. Saturn in Aries cringes at excessive self-importance, in fact. However, it may go too far in that direction when the goal should be to correct where things have been immoderate or imbalanced and excessive. Ideally, we’re striving for healthy, balanced levels of self-sacrifice.
During this transit, we can be resourceful. It’s a prime time to evaluate our egoism and self-centeredness, identifying areas where we may assert ourselves to our own detriment. For instance, in our pursuit of ‘living our truth,’ we may inadvertently trample on others’ liberties. The Saturn in Aries transit empowers us to recognize and address these self-centered behaviors, putting us in control of our actions and their consequences.
It’s also a time for exploring our fear of being seen as less than strong or less than first place. These fears can limit our experiences as we might bow out of competition or avoid activities where we might appear less than competent. In truth, these experiences could be wonderful if we enjoy them for what they are rather than worry about the outcomes.
While Saturn is in Aries in 2026:
- it aligns with Neptune on February 20th (Saturn conjunct Neptune)
- it sextiles Pluto on March 28th (Saturn sextile Pluto)
- it trines Jupiter on August 31st (Jupiter trine Saturn)

Details
The Moon is New in Aquarius on February 17, 2026, at 7:01 AM EST. This New Moon is a Solar Eclipse.
This eclipse is the first in a Leo-Aquarius set. Its effects can be felt for up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the sign of Aquarius, this eclipse is about friendship, fellowship, group activities, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, humanitarian efforts, or joining a group. This New Moon eclipse might challenge these matters and present opportunities for new beginnings. Long-term changes are in the works!
This phase of the Moon occurs at 28 degrees and 50 minutes of Aquarius.
A similar Solar Eclipse (at approximately the same degree of Aquarius) occurred on February 15th, 2018. Before that, similar degrees and signs happened in eclipses on February 16th, 1999, and February 16th, 1980. An eclipse set along the Leo-Aquarius axis most recently occurred from 2016-2019. Before that, it was from 2008-2009.
This eclipse can highlight and challenge our issues surrounding our social connections, place in society, friendships, alliances, and innovative approaches. We might take steps toward improving in these areas by tackling things that undermine our goals or connections.
Circumstances nudge or encourage us to see where we haven’t been true to our authentic selves. Ultimately, we are now in a position to understand that changes or endings are necessary for our own growth, and that we can handle these things.
This is a time when we should solve problems that require thinking “outside of the box.” We look to the future with a new, positive, and hopeful vision, frequently brainstorm and socialize, and focus on extending a friendly hand, receiving support, and expressing platonic love for those around us. It’s a time to give our emotions and passions a “break,” as we develop more objectivity and some detachment from past haunts.
We might learn how something (or someone) works or revitalize ourselves through experiences that are new or simply different.
This cycle encourages us to reach out to people in our social circle and in our community, and recognize the value of our friendships and social networks. We might also recognize that some level of detachment and distancing ourselves from our habits and attachment to the past will help us break away from destructive behaviors that are holding us back.
With this potent Aquarius energy, we have the chance to make progressive changes in our lives. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters.
Aquarius teaches us that it can be all too easy to slip into feelings of being alone in the world (“it’s me against the world”) and to forget that there is support to be found, if only we reach out and find it. Similarly, there are solutions to our problems, if only we develop faith that answers are available to us, and we reach out to find those solutions. It is a time to consider, appreciate, and value our place in the community and in our social circle, and to give something back.
It’s a powerful time to re-evaluate our happiness goals and alliances.
This New Moon clashes with Uranus, bringing rebellious, impulsive, abrupt, and innovative energy. We should watch for shooting ourselves in the foot–self-destructive tendencies may not be intentional, but we may go against our best interests by rushing things or disconnecting with our hearts to the point that we are rebelling or reacting instead of doing what we truly want to do.
This eclipse occurs close to the iconic Saturn-Neptune alignment in Aries, effectively magnifying its energies. With this transit, our sense of security is dissolving so that it can be rebuilt. New truths or realities are revealing themselves. Due to this powerful transformation, we can be more susceptible to stress and illness.
Flaws in an important system in our lives reveal themselves around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the “new” may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.
An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the North Node of the Moon. While we’re heading into unknown territory in some ways, we have a good sense that we’re doing so to our advantage. This eclipse occurs before the North Node enters Aquarius.
Major developments in the personal areas ruled by Aquarius in our charts are likely to occur over the upcoming months.
The above chart is excellent for seeing the fundamental influences and chart pattern of this New Moon. The chart below adds more details with additional points:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 28 degrees and 50 minutes of Aquarius, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 24 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and 0 to 4 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.
This Solar Eclipse is part of a set of eclipses falling along the Leo/Aquarius sign axis from February 2026 to January 2028:
- Annular SOLAR Eclipse 2026 February 17 at 28 Aquarius 50
- Total SOLAR Eclipse 2026 August 12 at 20 Leo 02

Sun enters Pisces
Sun is in Pisces from February 18-March 20, 2026.
With the Sun in Pisces, we are guided by altruistic feelings. We are less motivated to do than we are to feel, imagine, and dream. A “what will be, will be” attitude reigns, and we are guided by a sense of universal correlations. Pisces rules empathy, selfless love, devotion, and wisdom. Its shadow side can include self-pity, a feeling of being victimized by life, passivity, and elusiveness.
While we may not always verbalize or express our feelings and impressions during this cycle, they’re strong and motivating. We prefer to believe and trust, giving things/people the benefit of the doubt until they prove us wrong. We might often tune out problems or conflicts rather than tackle them head on, hoping they will iron themselves out. Prosperity flows when we’re connecting with our heart, being kind, and helping others. The need to withdraw or retreat to restore our energy is strong from time to time.

Mercury now turns retrograde at 22° Pisces 34′.
Mercury is retrograde from February 26, 2026, at 22° Pisces 34′, until March 20, 2026, at 8° Pisces 30′.
The shadow period begins on February 11th and ends on April 9th.
Mercury Retrograde Cycle from February 26 to March 20, 2026:
- On February 11, 2026, Mercury enters the Retrograde Zone (pre-retrograde shadow) at 8° Pisces 30′
- On February 26, 2026, Mercury stations and turns retrograde at 22° Pisces 34′ Rx
- On March 20, 2026, Mercury stations and turns direct at 8° Pisces 30′
- On April 9, 2026, Mercury leaves the Retrograde Zone (post-retrograde shadow) at 22° Pisces 34′
The year 2026’s first retrograde Mercury cycle takes place solely in the sign of Pisces.
Mercury’s shadow period begins on February 11th and ends on April 9th. Note that the shadow period begins before Mercury turns retrograde–when Mercury first passes over the degree that Mercury later returns to in retrograde motion. The shadow period ends when Mercury again passes over the degree at which it first turned retrograde. The shadow period is different than Mercury’s storm period in astrology, which refers to the period when Mercury is moving especially slowly.
Note that Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow is generally better for new long-term endeavors than the pre-retrogrades shadow. For new enterprises in the pre-retrograde shadow, the venture’s secondary progressed Mercury will turn direction (retrograde) in the coming years, which may not be ideal.
Also consider that things are most wonky on and around the days of the stations whether Mercury is turning retrograde OR direct (the start and end dates of the retrograde cycle) as the shifts occur, after which we grow more accustomed to the energy.
Mercury is retrograde approximately three times a year for approximately three weeks each time. As such, retrograde Mercury is a fairly common occurrence (Mercury is retrograde approximately 18% of the time).
As the planet of communication, Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion. Mercury rules our “lower” mind–how we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others. Mercury has rulership over such things as speaking, negotiating, buying and selling, listening, formal contracts, documents, travel, the mail and shipping, and so forth. All of these areas of life are affected when Mercury is functioning in a sluggish state. Decision-making is challenged during Mercury retrograde.
Needless to say, it is not advised to sign contracts, engage in important decision-making, or launch a new business. Delays and challenges are more probable with Mercury retrograde. It’s a time when being careless with money, our personal information, or paperwork can be costly.
While Mercury is retrograde, we may be rethinking a previous opinion or idea. Looking to the signs and houses it transits can give clues as to what we may be reconsidering. In Pisces this time, we are reconsidering matters of faith or compassion, spiritual or emotional health practices, and issues of closure and unfinished business.
While Mercury is retrograde in the sign of Pisces, we may be returning to past projects and refining or tweaking them. We can find usefulness in old or past ideas and recycle them in new ways. We might consider scrapping a need for closure on a particular matter, for example, recognizing that the best closure sometimes involves accepting that there isn’t closure! We can be especially spacey when it comes to facts and figures. Convoluted directions and instructions can be a problem. However, we may be more able to tap into our inner muse and come up with especially inventive ideas.

Mars enters Pisces
Mars is in Pisces from March 2-April 9, 2026.
We tend to feel less motivated to go after traditional goals, and more motivated to pursue spiritual or emotional drives during this cycle. While Mars in Pisces, we dislike confrontation.
Our output is variable, and our energy is similarly up and down during this trend. We may put others’ needs ahead of our own, and our more idealistic side comes to the fore. During this cycle, going after what we want becomes less straightforward and more complicated!
However, we are motivated by compassion while Mars is in Pisces. We can be spiritual warriors, or we achieve our goals intuitively and with faith. We can be chameleons, adapting to the current situation quite expertly, although we can also be escape artists, preferring to avoid than confront. We can be passive-aggressive, or we fight through confusing or placating our opponent.

Details
The Moon is Full in Virgo on March 3, 2026, at 6:38 AM EDT. This is a total Lunar Eclipse.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun opposes the Moon, and in this case, when the Sun in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. Certainly, it can be an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 54 minutes of Virgo opposite the Sun at 12 degrees and 54 minutes of Pisces.
It’s the fifth eclipse in a set of seven occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis from September 17th, 2024, to February 20th, 2027. The first one was a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. While we’ve been focusing on building our faith, this March eclipse in Virgo prompts us to consider getting organized and how it affects the work-rest balance.
This eclipse serves as a prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Virgo- and Pisces-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify. It’s a time to resolve matters, strike a balance, take a lesson, and move on, but take some time with this–eclipses can temporarily hide a part of our lives for us to focus on another. Ultimately, we should be striving for a balance.
This eclipse affects people with personal planets and points at 8 to 18 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.
Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. With the Virgo-Pisces axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants concerning the balance between Virgo-ruled and Pisces-ruled areas of life. We are encouraged to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).
Read more about this and other eclipses affecting our lives in Eclipses/Lunations.
Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.
The contrast between precise, logical, work-centered, factual Virgo and spiritual, compassionate, holistic Pisces comes full bloom. The energy of the Virgo Moon is the awareness of the need for more precision, attention to detail, and responsibility. The Pisces Sun, on the other hand, is visionary–focused on what’s universal and hard to define.
This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the coming months, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, it’s difficult to sit on our feelings. We need to express them.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.
This total Lunar Eclipse urges us to strike a balance between work and service, practicality and impracticality, criticism and acceptance.
This eclipse in Virgo is about awakening to the need to enjoy more order in our lives. This is an eyes-wide-open time for our work, habits, health, and routines. We are likely to receive strong messages from our intuition regarding our next move along these lines.
Emotions, feelings, and revelations in the weeks following this eclipse are pivotal. This is a rewarding Full Moon eclipse, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. However, it can take some time before we get the whole picture.
A crisis of sorts (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts.
Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened at this time. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic–everything feels big and larger than life at this time. Epiphanies are likely as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action, although there can be some initial level of chaos.
However, it’s important to note that we’re temporarily in the dark about a matter at the time of an eclipse, and we’re seeing another area of life as if we’re looking at it through a magnifying glass. It’s distorted—we don’t yet have the full picture. This perspective does help us, ultimately, but it’s wise to remember that we’re missing something and to defer judgment.
This is a time to work on clearing up past patterns that have been holding us back from fulfillment in our everyday lives.
Revelations coming in can be blown up and dramatic but not discountable since they come from real feelings. With eclipses, we get a strong emphasis on one area of life but a blackout in another area, and it makes sense to wait to make big decisions for when we can see the whole picture.
This Lunar Eclipse can have a way of bringing dysfunctional areas of our lives to our attention. Emotions and realizations feel big. Plans can blossom.
Through events, circumstances, and epiphanies after the time of this eclipse, we learn that we need to get in touch with our needs for a stronger connection with our routines, work, and physical health needs. To feel fulfilled, we need to acknowledge and embrace our need for our daily routines to serve us well.
We become aware of where we have been overdoing our focus on replenishment where it’s come at the expense of living an organized life.
Full Moons are always helpful for magnifying pre-existing problems so that we can see where to bring back balance. Our larger work should focus on reaching a good balance. Enlightenment in the weeks following the lunation provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs, ultimately leading to positive actions and decisions.
This eclipse gets a nice boost from Jupiter in Cancer–our domestic goals harmonize with our eclipse mission. Family can be supportive. We’re hopeful and optimistic, which helps our cause.
In 2007, a Lunar Eclipse occurred at a similar degree as this Virgo one on March 3rd, and in 1988 and 1980, Lunar Eclipses also occurred at a similar degree. It might be helpful to think back to issues in your life that were in effect around these dates, if applicable, to get an idea of how this 2025 Lunar Eclipse might affect you.
However, you can also look back in a general sense to eclipse sets occurring along the same Virgo-Pisces axis as the current one in effect from September 2024 to February 2027 for more information gleaned by looking to the past to understand themes in the present and future.
The following are also periods of your past, if applicable, that may have had similar themes to this current eclipse set:

Venus enters Aries
Venus is in Aries from March 6 to 30, 2026. With Venus in Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past–it’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.
Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to the sign. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.
While Venus is in Aries, we gravitate to Aries-like activities, pleasures, pastimes, and objects of interest. Our tastes can veer toward action, new enterprise, conquests, courageous or daring acts, and so forth. We can be somewhat impulsive with our money or entertainment choices.
Our interests can be insistent and strong, but possibly short-lived. It’s not the best time for holding onto money. We might pour our resources too quickly into new ventures or projects but tire of these things just as rapidly.

The Moon is New in Pisces on March 18, 2026, at 9:23 PM EDT.
The following is the New Moon astrological chart wheel for the Pisces New Moon in 2026.
The New Moon in Pisces marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Aquarius New Moon cycle ends and the Pisces New Moon cycle begins.
The New Moon in Pisces is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Fish. These include taking a leap of faith, accepting imperfections in ourselves and in others as a different kind of “perfection,” starting a project that requires imagination and visualization skills, consciously putting time aside for peaceful and rejuvenating activities, and sharing a dream with another.
With this potent Pisces energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives.
With the planets arranged so closely to one another, we can be particularly focused, determined, and concentrated. We should watch for being overly stubborn or narrow in our focus.
This New Moon’s harmony with Uranus via a tight sextile points to inspiration and belief in progress.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 28 degrees and 27 minutes of Pisces, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 24 to 30 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) and about 0 to 2 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little in the way of shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.
The Sun enters Aries on March 20, 2026, at 10:46 AM EDT, which is also the Vernal Equinox.

Mercury now turns direct at 8° Pisces 30′.
Mercury was retrograde from February 26th, at 22° Pisces 34′, until March 20th, 2026, at 8° Pisces 30′.
The year 2026’s first retrograde Mercury cycle took place solely in the sign of Pisces and ends now.
Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow (from March 20th to April 9th, 2026) is generally better for new long-term endeavors than the pre-retrogrades shadow. For new enterprises in the pre-retrograde shadow, the venture’s secondary progressed Mercury will turn direction (retrograde) in the coming years, which may not be ideal.
Also note that things are most wonky on and around the days of the stations whether Mercury is turning retrograde OR direct (the start and end dates of the retrograde cycle) as the shifts occur, after which we grow more accustomed to the energy. This time around, the dates of the stations are February 26th and March 20th.
While Mercury was retrograde, we may have been rethinking a previous plan or pursuit. Looking to the signs and houses it transits can give clues as to what we may be deciding. This retrograde was in Pisces, and we were reconsidering matters of faith or compassion, spiritual or emotional health practices, and unfinished business.
Now that Mercury is direct, slowly but surely, information unclogs, and we can move on. Ideally, while Mercury was retrograde, we had the chance to catch up, refine details, and change our minds if needed.

Venus enters Taurus
Venus is in Taurus from March 30 to April 24, 2026. In Taurus, Venus is naturally very sensual, content, and possessive. We seek security and value those things that are long-lasting. Our appetite for pleasure is strong.
The sign of Taurus values the here and now and the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance figure strongly during the Venus-in-Taurus cycle. Holding on to someone or something we love is our tendency under this influence.
The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own.
On the financial side, Venus in Taurus looks for high-quality, solid, practical, and long-lasting items. Holding on to our possessions is more likely now. With art, tastes, and pleasures, we prefer things that are earthy, natural, and grounded. We can be somewhat indulgent at this time. Uncertainty bothers us more than usual–we favor stability over excitement in love and pleasure.

The Moon is Full in Libra on April 1, 2026, at 10:12 PM EDT.
The Full Moon occurs on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, when the Sun in Aries forms an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.
The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise.
With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships. This Full Moon forms a square with Jupiter, lending an element of exaggeration or excess to our emotional discoveries.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 21 minutes of Libra opposite the Sun at the same degree of Aries, affecting people with personal planets and points at 8 to 16 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

Mars enters Aries
Mars is in Aries from April 9 to May 18, 2026.
Mars feels at home in Aries, one of the signs that it rules, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident.
Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
We pursue our goals straightforwardly, confidently, unabashedly, and directly with Mars in Aries. The same goes for expressing anger. We want to be first, come first, and do things on our own–our independence, enterprise, and initiative are well-developed.
This transit is better for endeavors that require courage and strong but not necessarily sustained passion and energy. We don’t want to look back or overthink–we only concern ourselves with what we can accomplish right now. Not inclined to beat around the bush, we confidently pursue our desires.

The Moon is New in Aries on April 17, 2026, at 7:52 AM EDT. The New Moon occurs at 27° Aries 29′.
The following is the chart wheel of the New Moon in Aries occurring in 2026.
The New Moon in Aries marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Pisces New Moon cycle ends and the Aries New Moon cycle begins.
The New Moon in Aries is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Ram. It’s time to take action – try something new and innovative, and go at it with gusto and confidence; be assertive without being abrasive; take charge of our lives; start a brand new project, and discover our own personal courage.
This is a strong cycle under which to re-evaluate our relationship with ourselves. With this potent Aries energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. It’s time to make some solid yet realistic plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and thus a New Moon in Aries is especially ripe with opportunity for new beginnings. We might consider acting on a constructive impulse and following a hunch or taking a risk.
Aries learns through experience and action, and we might treat ourselves to a little adventure now. It’s also a good cycle under which to discover the benefits of expressing ourselves with authenticity – expressing ourselves as we are, without putting on airs.
We might find ways to learn how to rely on ourselves and to be happy about doing so – it will go a long way towards finding inner happiness when we know that we can be self-sufficient without blaming others for not helping us out. It’s a time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that break the routine and that involve doing something new and fresh.
This New Moon occurs when all major planets are direct, suggesting few obstacles. However, Mars, the ruler of Aries is applying to a conjunction to Saturn, and while we’re ready to work hard and pace ourselves, we can be combatting some fear of not being number one.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 27 degrees and 29 minutes of Aries, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 23 to 30 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, and Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.
I like to see two charts of the New Moon. The one above, using only the major bodies, is useful for seeing chart patterns and core influences. Adding additional points or bodies is helpful for seeing nuances, as follows:

Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
The Sun in Taurus is the connoisseur and sensualist. It’s patient, stubborn, earthy, stable, and rooted. The Sun-in-Taurus cycle is a good one for maintaining or building, as well as enjoying and appreciating what’s already in place.

Venus enters Gemini
Venus is in Gemini from April 24th to May 18th, 2026.
With Venus in Gemini, we have a finger in every pie. Curiosity motivates us on romantic and social levels. “Variety is the spice of life” is the motto now. We are sociable, communicative, charming, and interested.
While it’s a time when we can be animated and fun, we may also keep our distance on an emotional level. Attractions now often begin with words, as we tend to bond more readily on a mental level while Venus is in Gemini. We’re most attracted to mentally interesting people.
Sometimes, our curiosity leads us into relationships that we might not form otherwise. The shadow side of Gemini is fickleness or disinterest in profundity.
Venus in Gemini is flirtatious, captivating, and adaptable. We ask questions and want to keep things light and lively. During this transit, we do best when we’re mentally engaged and our desire for variety is addressed. Social stimulation is appealing. Good fortune with transportation and communication can figure strongly.

Uranus enters Gemini, this time for the long haul
Uranus was in Gemini from July 7, 2025 to November 7, 2025. Uranus returned to Taurus to finish up its transit, but now enters Gemini again today. Uranus will be in Gemini from April 25, 2026, to August 3, 2032, and then from December 12, 2032, to May 22, 2033.
Uranus spends about 7-8 years in a sign. The range for Gemini is 2025 to 2033 with some transition periods between Taurus and Gemini and then Gemini and Cancer.
In Gemini, Uranus revolutionizes the ways we communicate, connect, learn, and teach.
Dates when Uranus enters and leaves Gemini:
July 7, 2025, at 3:47 AM: Uranus entered Gemini for the first time in decades
November 7, 2025, at 9:19 PM: Uranus Rx enters Taurus – Uranus returned to Taurus in retrograde motion
April 25, 2026, at 8:51 PM: Uranus enters Gemini – Uranus enters Gemini for the second time. This time, Uranus will stay in the sign for years.
August 3, 2032, at 2:20 PM: Uranus enters Cancer – Uranus leaves Gemini for the first time.
December 12, 2032, at 1:22 AM: Uranus Rx enters Gemini – Uranus was in Cancer, but now returns to Gemini in retrograde motion.
May 22, 2033, at 9:14 AM: Uranus enters Cancer – Uranus leaves Gemini, not to return for decades.
It’s not a cycle that happens very often! In fact, the last time Uranus was in Gemini was from 1941 to 1949 (Aug 7 to October 4, 1941; May 15, 1942 to Aug 30, 1948; and November 12, 1948 to June 10, 1949).
Through the vibrations of Uranus, we are inventive, intuitive, and perceptive, and we’re unbound to tradition, allowing us to make progress. Uranus can bring sudden changes, shocking news or events, estrangements, changes of fortune, progress, new orders, and accidents.
In Gemini, Uranus is stirring up our ideas, learning, and communications. It revolutionizes our transportation and communication systems and sense of connectedness. There can be great progress and unpredictability.
During this 7 to 8-year cycle, learning and education can be disrupted, dramatically changed, or non-traditional. It’s a time that demands adaptability and open-mindedness. Information bites rather than chunks can be prevalent, and our communication styles, especially the ways we extend gestures and pleasantries, can change dramatically. Ideas can spread very quickly and create dramatic change during this period.
There can be more movement, migration, and busy-ness in general. Sudden changes in alliances can occur, along with disruptions in friend groups. Revolutions regarding air quality can be a much-needed revelation.
It can also be a time when we’re moving toward more gender neutrality, particularly in our communications. Fashion can become more non-gendered. Our relationships with siblings and neighbors can undergo a change. In education, there can be more of a thrust toward inventiveness and creativity or intuition.
Changes or advances in our experiences of short journeys can be remarkable. Labor-saving devices and revolutionizing what and how we read, exchange and disseminate information, trade, transit, transport goods, surveil, track, and learn can continue to develop, surprise, disrupt, and advance. Uranus brings strong themes of curiosity and interest.
Staying open to change, being young at heart, and being flexible can be in vogue. It’s a period of significant changes in social discourse and the seeking of freedom in and through communications and education. We’re breaking through inhibitions or taboos related to sharing ideas, education, and communications. Using words to shock or rebel comes naturally.
We may lack follow-through, focus, and concentration. Nervous energy can also be extreme. It can be a time of liberation as well as disruption.
