Jupiter at 0° Leo 24’  forms a square to Chiron at 0° Taurus 24′ on July 1st, 2026. This is the third in a set of three such aspects in an approximately nine-month period while Jupiter is in Cancer and early Leo.

During the period influenced by this outer-planet transit with longer-term influence, we can find ourselves yearning for meaning and understanding, yet it’s a daunting task to align with a personal philosophy or belief system that authentically mirrors our core. Beliefs and ideas might lead us astray, or we could be confronted with a crisis of faith. It’s not uncommon for something to occur that challenges our fundamental beliefs, leaving us in a state of disarray or confusion.

There may be instances where we feel isolated in our opinions, visions, or future plans, as others may not understand our vision. Past decisions that once seemed wise may now appear questionable. The New Moon in Cancer is a good time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Crab. Uranus sextile Neptune

Uranus, at 4° Gemini 24′, forms a sextile with Neptune, at 4° Aries 24′ on July 15th, 2026. This is the third of five in this set (as with many outer-planet transits, this aspect repeats multiple times over the course of many months).

When Uranus and Neptune connect, we want to shake up the status quo. We can be visionary and inspired.

With Uranus forming a sextile to Neptune, we’re seeking (and finding) illumination. It’s a time of more openness to alternative ways of living, believing, and expression. We’re receptive to different or unusual experiences and ideas.

At the same time, we’re averse to any form of force-feeding spirituality or belief systems, preferring our freedom to follow our intuition. It’s a time to reform and update how we express compassion, care for the underprivileged, pursue our dreams, seek escapes, and do art and creativity. However, we can also be more sensitive to stimulants.

Our feelings blossom now. Full Moons are about connecting us with things we already know but aren’t acknowledging, such as buried feelings, or they bring secrets to light and projects to a turning point.

The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

The New Moon occurs as the Sun and Moon align late in the sign of Leo. This New Moon is a total Solar Eclipse, which is a more potent lunation, affecting our lives for the coming six months. In the sign of Leo, confidence, creativity, romance and dating, games, sports, recreation, speculation, hobbies, or children are a strong focus on a personal level. This New Moon eclipse might challenge these matters and present opportunities for new beginnings. Long-term changes are in the works!

This is a time when we can focus on building our self-confidence by discovering our paths as distinct individuals, uncover our unique creative powers, and make a conscious effort to deal with others in a more personal, involved, and loving manner. This eclipse can highlight and challenge our issues surrounding our romantic connections, pursuit of entertainment, and attitude toward expressing and enjoying ourselves. We might take steps toward improving in these areas by tackling things that undermine our goals or connections.

Circumstances nudge or encourage us to see where we haven’t been true to our authentic selves. Ultimately, we are now in a position to understand that changes or endings are necessary for our own growth, and that we can handle these things!

It’s a powerful time to re-evaluate our need to stand out, express and share our talents, and play and enjoy our pastimes.

An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the South Node of the Moon. Eclipses close to the South Node tend to feel a little more challenging than those conjunct or closer to the North Node, as we can concentrate too much on the idea that we might have to let something go.

A Full Moon occurs now as the Sun in Virgo forms an opposition to the Moon in Pisces. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

There can be inflated feelings, so it’s wise to sit with them for a bit before taking action.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 4 degrees and 54 minutes of Pisces, opposite the Sun at the same degree of Virgo.

Note that this is the sixth eclipse of an eclipse set of seven occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis that began in September 2024 and runs until February 2027.

This set began almost two years ago, in September 2024, with a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces, continued with a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo in March 2025, a Lunar Eclipse in September 2025, a Solar Eclipse in Virgo in  September 2025, a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo in March 2026, this one (Lunar Eclipse in Pisces in August 2026), and a Lunar Eclipse in Virgo in February 2027.

As the sixth in a sign set, this August eclipse can serve as a further prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Virgo- and Pisces-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify.

Occurring close to the time of a Superior Conjunction of the Sun and Mercury, an epiphany, illumination of a matter, or a clearing of the air is likely and significant. A Lunar eclipse is an especially potent lunation, in this case a potent Full Moon. Lunar eclipses are relationship-oriented. The “crisis” that these eclipses tend to elicit is a crisis of lack–a time when we suddenly realize a great need or want. The impact of the crisis can act to sever a relationship–it’s possible. But it can also bring two people together with a sudden awareness of a great need for each other.

Although Lunar eclipses are more relationship-oriented than Solar eclipses, they are not always about relationships between two people. When a Full Moon occurs, we can suddenly burst forth with proclamations and outpours that seem fresh and new, simply because they are not yet rationalized. A Lunar eclipse is a more potent Full Moon, and its effects tend to last longer. Many astrologers believe that the effects of a Lunar eclipse last approximately six months.

Lunar Eclipses are about relationships and polarities. With the Virgo-Pisces service axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants. We are encouraged to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces).

Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.

A crisis of sorts (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts. Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened dramatically shortly after the eclipse. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic. Epiphanies are likely at this time as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into affirmative action.

However, it’s important to note that we’re temporarily in the dark about a matter at the time of an eclipse, and we’re seeing another area of life as if we’re looking at it through a magnifying glass. It’s distorted—we don’t yet have the full picture. This perspective does help us, ultimately, but it helps to remember that we’re missing something and to defer judgment.

Full Moons and Lunar Eclipses bring issues in our lives to fulfillment. Our emotions are heightened, and there is often some sort of drama involved with the house, sign, and any contacted planets activated by the Full Moon. Look to 4-5 degrees of Virgo and Pisces in your own chart (allow up to about a 5 degree orb when examining the planets and points it aspects).

The areas of life activated by the eclipse may see dramatic turns, after which the path is clear to move forward. Note that whatever happens at this time is nothing truly new. The issues have been brewing inside of us, and emotions have been building. Something comes to light at the time of the Lunar Eclipse, and if we get in touch with our emotions, we can get a better idea of what needs to change, or what needs to go.

This Lunar Eclipse in Pisces is bound to thrust us into a state of heightened awareness. It’s a time to take special note of your dreams, as well as insights or thoughts/emotions that seem to come from “out of the blue.” These could be creatively inspiring.

The range of emotions that Pisces registers is extraordinary, and this could be a time when we feel that enormous range. Around the date of the Full Moon Lunar eclipse, the idealistic side of us comes out full speed ahead. Some of us will be irritable and won’t know exactly why. Others will be moved towards romantic declarations or revelations. Still others will be walking around in a kind of daze, seeing only what they want to see while their common sense is temporarily “eclipsed.”

With Virgo, we are acutely aware of imperfections. We see the flaws around us and perhaps become very tense and irritable, or we work hard at fixing them. To Pisces, however, imperfection is beautiful. At the time of the Lunar eclipse, we may suddenly see this Piscean “light.”

We may discover that we need more rest or attention to our spiritual nature than we are currently allowing ourselves. This is a time when lunar energy emerges and is most powerful. It’s a time when we can tap into our more idealistic, imaginative, and visionary nature. Our hearts open, and issues of trust and faith are in focus. Decisions made now are emotionally-driven.

With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.

This is a time to clear up past patterns that have been holding us back from personal fulfillment. We might open ourselves up to possibilities, examining the emotions that push to the surface, but finalizing plans should probably be saved for a later date.
