Saturn in Aries and the Signs of the Zodiac (Horoscopes)
Saturn enters the sign of Aries on May 25th, 2025.
Saturn occupies the sign of Aries from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
- Saturn is in Aries from May 24, 2025, 11:35:31 pm EDT
…until Sep 1, 2025, 4:05:53 am EDT - Saturn is in Aries from Feb 13, 2026, 7:11:19 pm EST
…until Apr 12, 2028, 11:39:27 pm EDT
Saturn takes about 28-29 years to come full circle, and thus spends on average close to 2-1/2 years in a sign. It can weave in and out of a sign due to retrograde cycles.
Saturn Transits: General
Saturn transits and cycles can be considered cycles of achievement and maturity. When Saturn forms a hard aspect to a personal point in our chart, we might feel as if everything is slowing down–we encounter delays, frustrations, and pressures.
But these times also challenge us to face reality, thereby opening ourselves up to increased wisdom and the freedom that comes with living in truth.
Significant decisions are often made during Saturn’s challenging transits to our personal planets. These transits slow life down (or at least, that is how we perceive it) and force us to live our lives in the present. Although Saturn transits can make life feel like drudgery (these are often times when our lives seem to move at a snail’s pace and advancements are hard to see), they also give us the opportunity to gain inner strength, to become more responsible for what we do and say, and to cut out waste or excesses in our lives.
Essentially, what happens is a paring or slimming down in the areas of life affected by Saturn. We are getting rid of things in our lives that are not working for us in the real world and focusing on improving and strengthening the things that do serve a useful purpose.
Saturn transits can also be considered times of conservation in whatever area of life Saturn affects. We build up our reserves and conserve our energy during these periods. Delays and minor but irksome problems might be experienced. Things break down, our needs often go unmet by others, we frequently feel misunderstood and even left out, we tend to find others harsh and unsympathetic (although this is often a perception thing – we, in fact, may be lacking a sense of humor), and we often feel burdened or put upon.
Saturn transits teach us to take responsibility for ourselves. At the outset of a Saturn transit, we might feel like the world is a cold place. If we are mature, we will eventually realize that we cannot always pass the blame for the problems in our lives. We need to reach within and pull out our own inner strength — to rely on ourselves.
Depression can be a byproduct of heavy Saturn transits. However, if we focus our energies on meaningful endeavors without pushing too hard for recognition or support from others, we can fight the inclination towards a gloom-and-doom attitude.
Saturn reminds us of reality and the need for greater self-discipline. Re-organizing the areas of life represented by the house or personal point that Saturn is “hitting” can lead to great rewards.
Remember that Saturn transits do not entirely flatten us, by all means. Instead, they slow us down, force us to live in the “here and now,” keep us from taking unnecessary risks, and help us build and structure our lives in ways that will benefit us later.
It’s interesting to consider the transits and themes that ran through our lives just before our Saturn transits. If we were riding high during a high-speed Uranus transit just before Saturn “hit,” this period can mark a significant time in our lives when we “pay” for the risks we may have taken during that Uranus phase. If we’ve been experiencing heavy Neptune transits, this can be a particularly disillusioning time.
If Saturn transits come shortly after a Jupiter-themed period in our lives, we may also feel particularly hard hit. Perhaps the Jupiter period has led us to overspend or ignore our basics, and then Saturn moves in to “correct” that situation and force us to face our personal realities. Life is not, in fact, all fun and games. We have to work and save–and that is what Saturn teaches us.
Thus, it’s helpful to consider the context of our recent and past experiences when considering how Saturn transits might affect us.
We should also look at the position of transiting Saturn by house, the zodiac signs involved, and the condition of the personal planet/point itself. If the personal planet/point happens to be our chart ruler (that is, it rules our Ascendant), we may experience particularly powerful events and circumstances, for example. If our natal Sun and Moon are in challenging aspect to each other, then Saturn transits will be impacting both personal points at the same time.
Suppose transiting Saturn is making a hard aspect with a stellium of planets. In that case, we’ll experience a more complex set of circumstances and attitudes that might have a more significant impact than if the personal point alone was affected.
Saturn teaches us about the value of moderation and caution. Perhaps the best way to “handle” challenging Saturn transits to personal planets and points is to avoid fighting these lessons. Accept that, at this time in your life, things may move more slowly (even at a snail’s pace).
Saturn wants us to work hard, put our energies into practical, useful, and meaningful projects, and live in the present but have an eye on what’s best for us in the long run. This period in your life is a time for building a solid foundation.
Understand that moderation at this point in your life is necessary for your spiritual growth and your physical body as well. Avoid blaming others for where you are now–doing this will only lead to feelings of melancholy and anger. Know that this period in your life, while temporary, is a time for learning about your personal limits and inner strength. Carry these lessons as you move beyond this phase, because how you handle your life now will make all the difference the next time (7 years later) Saturn makes a hard aspect to the same planet or point in your chart.
Important to keep in mind is that while Jupiter is often considered the planet that brings benefits, Saturn’s rewards are usually much greater, if a little delayed!
Saturn’s Transit Through Aries: General Influences
Background: While Saturn transited Libra from late 2009 until October 2012, our one-to-one committed relationships came up for inspection. We took a more serious, critical look at these relationships, and imbalances were more difficult to tolerate.
With Saturn in Scorpio from October 2012 to December 2014 and then June to September 2015, we dug more deeply into the dynamics of our relationships. Saturn in Sagittarius from 2015 to 2017 urged us to take control of our excesses, to question our faith, and to better understand our belief systems.
With Saturn in Capricorn from 2017 to 2020, we turned a critical eye to our major structures, governments, institutions, careers, and sense of responsibility. Conservation, moderation, and hard work were rewarded. With Saturn in Aquarius from 2020 to 2023, we turned a critical eye to our dreams, goals, hopes, contributions, social structures, social lives, friendships, and community involvement.
Saturn in Pisces from 2023 to 2026 prompted us to assess whether our systems were working regarding how we manage our downtime, approach spirituality, and exercise compassion.
With Saturn in Aries, we’re assessing whether our systems are working regarding how we use our initiative, exercise our independence, express ourselves authentically, and assert ourselves effectively.
Saturn demands simplicity, definition, realism, and truth wherever it touches our charts. Saturn also tests, not for the fun of it but for our own sakes. Saturn will reveal weak areas that need strengthening.
Saturn takes its time, and this is a good thing. With Saturn, we can only get to a healthy, balanced place if we pace ourselves doing so, thoroughly.
With Saturn, a desire to gain control is present. Some of us might attempt to control the people in our lives, but this is a difficult and frustrating path. Eventually and ideally, we understand that it is only ourselves who we can control.
With Saturn in Aries, we also recognize that as we are more responsible for ourselves, we impact and improve the collective.
During this transit of Saturn in Aries, it’s time for a test, slimming down, critical look at, or simplification of:
- our attention to vitality, physical wellness, self-care, and personal power,
- our personal initiatives and self-started activities,
- our courage, gumption, and willingness to forge a path,
- and our management of individuality, independence, competitiveness, and self-attention.
We may be clearing out the deadwood and prioritizing quality over quantity in these areas.
It can certainly be a time when we are more cautious and careful about self-starting or initiating new ventures. We’re doing things differently because of our new perspective on these matters. As we look at these things more critically, different methods/approaches naturally emerge. However, it’s not the time so much for innovation as it is for simplification and quality testing.
We might expect to pour more energy into fixing broken structures, particularly for those of us who’ve been overly self-focused. Ideally, we’re able to put our egos aside to do what’s best. Even so, there can be more rules and structures imposed upon these systems that may feel overly done or restrictive if Saturn in Aries isn’t working ideally.
Saturn in Aries and Rebuilding Courage
While Saturn is in Aries, we may initially experience frustration when pursuing our individual goals. We can feel uncomfortable with big shows of individuality or me-centered behavior while Saturn is in Aries. However, this period also presents a unique opportunity for personal growth. As we learn to balance our individual needs with collective responsibilities, we can overcome this discomfort.
By recognizing the necessity for this balanced attention, we can expand our potential for personal development. Otherwise, we might inadvertently limit ourselves.
In recent years, there has been much attention to the self. Aries energies have been revered and celebrated. Saturn in Aries aims to moderate this focus where it’s been excessive. We become more critical of this celebration, noting where a “me-first” attitude or “express your true self” at all costs has worked against us.
Saturn in Aries cringes at excessive self-importance, in fact. However, it may go too far in that direction when the goal should be to correct where things have been immoderate or imbalanced and excessive. Ideally, we’re striving for healthy, balanced levels of self-sacrifice.
It’s a prime time to evaluate our egoism and self-centeredness, identifying areas where we may assert ourselves to our own detriment. For instance, in our pursuit of ‘living our truth,’ we may inadvertently trample on others’ liberties. The Saturn in Aries transit empowers us to recognize and address these self-centered behaviors, putting us in control of our actions and their consequences.
Saturn in Aries and Tackling Fears
It’s also a time for exploring our fear of being seen as less than strong or less than first place. These fears can limit our experiences as we might bow out of competition or avoid activities where we might appear less than competent. In truth, these experiences could be wonderful if we enjoy them for what they are rather than worry about the outcomes.
On a personal level, we are no longer satisfied with plans that don’t hold weight or that aren’t realistic and doable. Wherever we find Aries in our charts is where we seek to be first, where we’re ready to initiate and take action, and where we may be impatient or impulsive. This is where we are a pioneer–we seek to take the lead or come first here.
The Aries areas of our charts is where we find initiative and motivation, but it’s also where we might be impatient, impulsive, and too quick to truly savor and appreciate. We may be good at starting but not finishing in these areas. Saturn entering this zone, in its role as the great teacher, is set to change some of these things! It’s a time to tidy things up, set things straight, and define what we’ve previously skipped over in our haste.
Saturn and Neptune in Aries
What’s particularly fascinating about Saturn’s transit of Aries this time around is that Neptune is concurrently transiting the sign, and Neptune’s energies couldn’t be more different than those of Saturn.
Both Saturn and Neptune are relative newbies when they meet up in February 2026.
Saturn and Neptune have been traveling close to one another in the sign of Pisces, but they only meet in a dramatic conjunction once they’re in Aries, on February 20th, 2026.
Neptune’s influence in Pisces for many years has been meandering, and when Saturn entered the picture, it was likely quite intense as it was about tidying things up, organizing, and creating rules and boundaries where none of these things have been in place. In fact, Neptune resisted these structures and boundaries for years while it visited the sign. So, Saturn’s transit may have felt particularly stark at times. At other times, we might have felt some relief that more clarity and realism entered the life departments presided over by Pisces in our charts.
But with Saturn and Neptune in Aries, we’re looking at completely different structures. Neptune will stick around much longer than Saturn, and in some ways, we won’t feel quite the same experience with both planets in the sign for the first couple of years.
People or systems we once adored may reveal their flaws, and it can be dramatic. Ideas and ideals we once fully accepted may no longer work for us. In a general way, we can see more of previously idolized people, attitudes, themes, and systems fall off their pedestals.
The main dangers with Saturn in Aries and its chumminess with Neptune is the tendency to dig in our heels and resist change, or on the opposite end, strike things down too broadly and without forethought.
However, the best use of this influence is to recognize the need to mature. We should avoid clinging too tightly to ideas and dreams just because they seemed to work for us in the past.
There will be some starkness, longing, and discontent to manage during this maturation process. These feelings can deplete our energy. However, it’s a time to pick up ourselves up and rebuild better, more relevant, and more mature or realistic plans and goals. Wallowing a little may even help motivate us to get it together and fix things.
Suppose Saturn and Neptune have entered our sixth house, and we’re now facing the need to loosen some of our ideas or routines regarding health, work, and chores, but we also see the need to tighten up some of these things. Saturn holds a mirror to our bad habits, and it can feel stark, but Neptune does something similar in a more indirect way: Neptune breaks down barriers that are too rigid. It can feel stark, disillusioning, and even unfair at the outset, but as we go along, we begin to see the benefits of taking better care of ourselves, our routines, and our bodies.
Saturn in Aries and Preservation
With Saturn in Capricorn, a powerful motivator was a fear of scarcity, having nothing, or losing everything. However, with Saturn in Aquarius, our focus turned to our connection to something larger, to systems, and to individuals. The power of group movements was rising. While Saturn in Capricorn was about self-preservation in many ways, Saturn in Aquarius was more focused on preserving the group.
Saturn in Pisces extended this further. We became more interested in preserving humanity! It was no longer just about us or the areas of life that Pisces rules in our charts. We recognized that we’re all in this together. Seeing things more holistically was key with the Pisces sign.
But with Saturn now in Aries, we’re looking more closely at the individual, the self. After all, it’s where everything begins. If we can’t moderate and balance ourselves, what can we bring to the table? Feeling more responsibility for ourselves, self-reflecting, and building more self-awareness are important missions now. We’re bound to make some mistakes as we embark on this journey, but we’re learning.

There are no shortcuts with Saturn! Patience and effort are valued, but we also want be efficient during Saturn transits.
The rewards are usually delayed, and that’s the point. The results are long-lasting. With Saturn in Aries, we get the sense that we should work hard if we want to grow, last, and strengthen.
While Saturn transits Aries, there can be some frustrations achieving success until we work on our self-discipline.
We can feel uncomfortable with big shows of self-assertion or self-centeredness during this period. However, by not fully allowing ourselves these very human qualities, we end up limiting ourselves. Our task is to work through this discomfort and get to a better balance. In other words, if we’ve been so self-focused that we’ve alienated people important to us or isolated ourselves, it’s time to work on our connections with others. Instead, if we’ve been so self-abnegating that we’ve forgotten to build our own strength and sense of self, we’ll now work on our boundaries.
For example, if in the Aries areas of our charts we’ve been slack, avoiding, and procrastinating, Saturn can come along with a reality test, and it can feel intense, even unfair at first. If this is about our work, our families, our relationships, our mental health, or our bodies/health…whichever life department…Saturn’s reminder that we’re not doing well can feel rude.
It’s when we see Saturn as a strict authoritarian that we most resent the planet’s lessons. This perception is most likely near the beginning of Saturn’s transit. Later, when and if we begin to see Saturn as a helpful coach, it’s easier to stomach these guidelines, lessons, and rules.
Additional Themes
It’s important to note that wherever we find Aries in our charts is where we want quick results. Saturn here can feel painfully slow! We’re not getting the immediate gratification we crave, and it can be excruciating at times.
During this transit, we can be highly resourceful. Self-preservation is in focus, but we’re asked to do so in moderation. We see where we can make the best of what we have.
We tend to go to bat for the individual during this transit, but we may not initially feel comfortable focusing on or glorifying our own. We should watch for subtly conveying to others that we don’t need them or their support since it can set up a pattern that’s unhealthy and lonely. People born with Saturn in Aries struggle with these things. They can feel embarrassed about asserting themselves or wanting to come first or get ahead. While Saturn transits Aries, we all feel this energy but in a less general way and more specific to the life departments that Aries rules in our charts.
During this trend, we can be bothered by people who seem to grab the spotlight, or on another level, are too “out there” with their originality or independence. Excessive vanity or self-promotion can begin to feel too much or over the top. We might see more sarcasm or criticism of these things.
It’s wise to take a closer look at Saturnian criticism and sarcasm, however, as it’s an extreme that suggests we’re dealing with Saturnine energy but not yet maturing with it. Asking ourselves if we’ve been too lax in an area is a good thing. Striking it down and making fun of it means we’re blocking it and not fixing things.
If we’re lacking some faith or trust in ourselves and others as individuals, which is likely during this transit, we can live in a state of vague fear or doom. This is a signal that we need to dig a little deeper and figure out what we’re afraid of losing, giving up, or facing.
As we scrutinize or temporarily feel less natural with our competitive, assertive, or go-getting nature, these things can make us feel more self-conscious. This transit presents an excellent time to recognize how we may limit ourselves and our experiences if we deny our connection to these parts of ourselves. It’s a step by step, slow-but-sure process.
With Saturn in Aries, there is some tendency to avoid scrutiny at all costs, which can lead to missed opportunities. Even if we’re strong and resilient, we can sometimes doubt that we are able to cope.
Another possible theme of this transit is the unearthing of situations where we’ve blocked or limited ourselves due to uncontrolled behaviors, impulsiveness, ego, or pride, and it’s a powerful reveal.
Reforms & Strengths of the Saturn in Aries Transit
We’re capable of considerable effort and hard work as we work toward our goals. Fortunately, when Saturn in Aries is working well, we are ready to put in the work to become healthier, more disciplined, and moderate.
Reforms and efforts to strengthen, build, or rebuild structures are likely in the areas of self-directed activities, initiative, self-employment, health, appearance, and self-image. It’s time to take a harder look at which of these things need improvement or are holding us back, and what we can now do to straighten these things out.
Some questions emerging during this transit, for example, may be whether or not we’re putting work into helping others who are struggling with boundaries or self-preservation skills, whether or not our social structures are supporting individuals, whether or not we’re doing the right things for our health and energy levels, particularly in Aries-ruled areas, whether or not we’ve prepared or planned ahead for our futures and for old age, and so forth.
Have we limited ourselves by avoiding things where we don’t think we’ll excel or come first? For example, suppose we’ve been intrigued with the idea of going for jogs but worry we’d look foolish, or if we’ve avoided painting because we don’t feel we’d be good enough. In these cases, we’ve limited our experiences because we have ridiculous expectations for ourselves to live up to. We might thoroughly enjoy something that we shouldn’t expect is only enjoyable if we excel at it.
Saturn favors quality over quantity and simplicity over chaos. Saturn in Aries, like all positions, has its constructive and destructive potentials. This can be a time of help for the overworked, isolated, or overly proud, for example, but this transit can reveal some serious cracks in our methods and approaches. Attempts to define things can be overly stark when there are nuances and layers to consider.
Ideally, we seek ways to improve, simplify, quantify, and make practical or bring ideas down to earth. Placing restrictions can be supportive only up to a point. A harder look at problematic systems, outlooks, and attitudes can be supportive, but with Saturn in Aries working poorly, for example, there is always the dilemma or irony of attempts to force-feed self-acceptance that backfire and end up limiting progress.
There is a fine line with rules-oriented Saturn in independent Aries that works on impulse, and it’s up to us to marry the two in useful, constructive ways.
The more negative expressions of the sign of Aries–such as impatience, rudeness, and self-serving –are things that won’t work for us now. These become glaring under Saturn’s stern eye. In some manner, we are bound to see that there is a price to pay for these behaviors, or it will become extremely clear that we have lost too much time, energy, and happiness on these things.
Even so, Saturn invokes a craving for the positive qualities of whatever sign it inhabits or planet it touches. We’re now striving towards more independence and a stronger self-image, and we’re cleaning up these qualities so that we don’t use them as an excuse or a theory. We are learning to put these traits into practice.
Saturn demands definitions, structures, and commitments. But for many of us, as soon as something is defined, structured, or committed, we might feel caged, trapped, uncomfortable, or limited. Saturn in Aries can teach us that abiding by certain rules, and through some level of self-denial, we can better put our missions and initiatives into positive practice. After all, what good is our courageous ideas if we don’t act upon them?
This is a time for making clear choices and decisions, for weeding out what isn’t working for us, and for letting go of lost causes, particularly related to our physical health and personal outlook.
Saturn aims to cut out excessive or overdone expectations. Under good conditions and ideally, Saturn gives us a dose of realism without pessimism, essentially keeping us in line without dampening our spirits (too much).
It’s a powerful time to start fresh. With Saturn in the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, we’re beginning a 29-year cycle, and in the 2-3 years of this transit, it’s important to work on building our courage and clearing our minds.
Saturn in Aries and Health
On a body level and for better health during this transit, it will be important to pay extra attention to the face and head.
Health issues can more frequently have to do with poor circulation, rheumatism, and problems with the brain, head, and the mind. Special attention to air quality is appropriate. I emphasize this not only due to Saturn’s transit of Aries, but because it’s long overdue.
Saturn in Aries introduces a theme of constriction or decreased blood flow in the Aries-ruled head, such as those that cause hair thinning, headaches, migraines, and even vascular dementia and aneurysms. The sign of Aries rules our defense and attack impulses, and Saturn in Aries can indicate issues with adrenal exhaustion. We might benefit from activities that encourage blood flow to the head, including yoga.
It may be that we discover underlying physical problems that are preventing us from courageously going after what we want, such as those that can magnify anxiety, for example.
Aries rules our initiative and personal energy stores, and Saturn’s action is to quantify, define, and structure. During Saturn’s transit of Aries, we’re encouraged to define things we previously felt were undefinable and not only look at but scrutinize the things we’ve ignored in our haste. It follows that this process can induce initial feelings of discontent, irritation, nervousness, anxiety, fearfulness, and restlessness.
However, with this attention on ourselves and bodies, it makes a lot of sense to begin the work of tidying things up. It’s a powerful transit for solving problems that have interfered with energy and motivation levels.
Saturn’s Lessons
Saturn teaches that freedom is not about escaping our responsibilities nor is it about breaking all the rules. Saturn shows us that we grow through our failures as much as, or perhaps more than, our successes. This is a time for letting go of self-defeating attitudes that have been holding us back, recognizing exactly where we have been overdoing our expectations, and finding new, perhaps more authentic ways to nurture our dreams and goals.
We are seeing where we’ve been overconfident, sloppy, entitled, and excessive, and how these things have ultimately contributed to stagnation, frustration, or letdown. Aries can skip over problem areas in its haste, and Saturn now wants us to face these things. It’s uncomfortable, yes, but can serve us very well in the long term. Handling and facing things can help kick guilt and shame to the curb, for example.
This transit is about sincerity and authenticity. It’s a good time to enlist the help of mentors, elders, or authorities on matters. With Saturn, “quality over quantity” applies. We might want to use this cycle to focus on and develop one special project in the areas of our charts where Saturn is transiting in order to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives.
Dedication to one or two meaningful pursuits or undertakings can be significantly more satisfying than spreading ourselves around. In order to really benefit and learn from this period, we need to accept that some options may be limited in order to enjoy a simpler, more fulfilling life.
Saturn in Aries in business: Recognize that while everyone is different, we all share similarities, and we’re in this together. Appeal to the individual. However, draw boundaries – keep personal and professional life mostly separate. Be ethical and inclusive. Address concerns of people from all walks of life.
Saturn in Aries in relationships: Compatibility of our outlook, bodies, physical characteristics, and personal interests are taken into consideration more than usual while Saturn transits Aries.
The compatibility of our material goals is important, but during this transit, we’re seeing that basic personalities and personal outlooks can make or break a connection. In fact, we may see more breakups over how active, assertive, independent, brave, or self-focused our partners are.
Reducing glorification of the self if we’re correcting imbalances can certainly boost our relationships. We might recognize where we’ve been too individualistic at the detriment of our connections. However, it can be a stark period on some levels if we take this too far. We’ll want to avoid mocking one another for taking ourselves seriously, for example. There must be a balance.
During this period, people with strong Aries in their charts can be more serious–they’re working on their discipline. They can seem distant, and, in truth, they’re going through things. Libras can feel some distance in a key relationship or pressure due to a lack in the partnership realm. Leo and Sagittarius can enjoy more discipline and stability. Pressure comes from various life departments for Cancers and Capricorn–the need for more maturity in some life departments can weigh heavily on them sometimes.

This is where I will discuss transiting Saturn’s most notable aspects while it moves through the sign of Aries.
Saturn’s sextile to Uranus is a nice transit for balance. This transit influences April 2025 to January 2026. Its first and last perfection occur while Saturn is in Pisces, but its perfection in August 2025 occurs when Saturn has moved to Aries.
It’s a time when we’re more likely to be doing what we enjoy, and enjoying what we’re doing, particularly related to career, work, and life path matters, but extending to other areas of life as well.
This can be a time of firsts in the primary structures of our lives. Changes we make tend to be deliberate or calculated, but possibly also quite quick. Original ideas may take form, or they might be developed quite successfully now. There is an opportunity to combine stability and improvement or excitement with good results. The same can be said of innovation and tradition.
With Jupiter square Saturn occurring from August 2024 to June 2025, circumstances are such that we must restructure our lives or plans in accordance with rules, laws, limits, and the demands of reality.
It is best to breathe new life into old plans rather than to strike out with a new plan altogether during this period. We may need to cut back on something in order to grow in another area. It’s important not to overextend ourselves at this time and to avoid attempting easy fixes or shortcuts. The need to adjust our expectations becomes obvious.

Saturn in Aries and the Signs of the Zodiac: Horoscopes
Saturn is in Aries from May to September 2025, and then from February 2026 to April 2028.
In a general sense, this is how Saturn’s transit through Aries might affect the different Sun signs (or, more appropriately, Ascendant signs):
Saturn’s transit of Aries for the signs, in brief (detailed interpretations are below this list):
For Aries: A time of increased personal responsibilities, attention to detail, and efforts to maintain and improve health and personal affairs. You are challenged to become more efficient with your energy levels and time management.
For Taurus: A time of spiritual renovation, clean-up, and better attention to mental health. You are challenged to take care of unfinished business, regroup, process, and heal. It’s important to rid yourself of regrets or perceived failures and disappointments as a Saturn-Sun cycle enters its last leg before coming full circle.
For Gemini: A time to clean up your social life and happiness goals. You either make dreams a reality or scrap them. It’s a good period for seeing these things more clearly, although sometimes sternly.
For Cancer: You may feel driven to prove or achieve something solid. Your performance becomes public or everyone’s business somehow.
For Leo: You’re challenged to look at life and your future more realistically and practically. There can be important accomplishments in publishing or education.
For Virgo: You’re challenged to tidy up those things you share with others (money, resources, power) as well as matters of dependence and intimacy. This is a time to tackle fears of losing control.
For Libra: Tests and strengthening of partnerships, one-on-one relationships. Realities are faced. Commitments are made or tested.
For Scorpio: You’re challenged to straighten out your daily affairs, work, routines, health, habits, and self-care programs.
For Sagittarius: Creative expression, entertainment, romance, children, and hobbies are areas of belt-tightening, realism, tests, commitments, and increased discipline.
For Capricorn: Home, family, personal, and nurturing or sustenance matters are areas that require increased discipline, realism, tradition, and structure.
For Aquarius: Increased daily responsibilities or commitments. Serious study or training and detail work, possibly decreased interactions with others, tests of ideas and studies.
For Pisces: A time for a more responsible and realistic approach to money and possessions. Belt-tightening is in order and very useful. Time to declutter, reduce waste, and make good use of your resources.
Saturn’s transit of Aries for the signs, in detail:
Aries
Saturn is transiting your all-important first house/your sign from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
Aries, your personality and self-image are going through a restructuring phase while Saturn is in Aries. As you see yourself differently, how others perceive you also changes.
It’s a time of more personal accountability.
This important transit signals a period of increased personal responsibilities, attention to detail, and efforts to maintain and improve your health and personal affairs. Recognizing your limitations may not sound like fun, and perhaps may not even sound constructive but with Saturn in your sign, it can truly help you now–and especially–in the future.
During the course of this transit that lasts approximately two and a half years in all, you’ll be learning your true capabilities. Since too-high expectations can have a way of producing guilt, weighing us down, this reality check is useful. It’s not about underselling yourself, but rather, a time to redefine goals to be more realistic and doable. It’s a valuable checkpoint in your life journey.
You may sometimes feel pushed to discover your independence or to rely on yourself during this period. The pressure is real and it requires some managing. However, it’s a strong period for getting your life in order. The work you do on these things can benefit you immensely.
The areas of your life that require a “back to basics” approach during this period are associated with the solar chart sector governing your personal mannerisms, personality, image, and appearance. This sector also rules how you initiate things — your first impulse for coping with day-to-day demands.
There may be tests of sorts in these areas of life — as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. However, those that are strong will endure and strengthen.
During this cycle, you are likely to be more cautious than you usually are and, at times, pessimistic. This transit doesn’t allow you to continue holding onto illusions about the self, the body, and personal capabilities. As a result, you’re building a newfound identity and a realistic understanding of the self.
In terms of career and projects, outward signs of progress may be less forthcoming, yet your work during this transit will lay a foundation for future success and progress.
You can sometimes feel alone or singled-out as you learn more self-reliance.
It’s a strong time for literally slimming down or shaping up if that’s a goal. You can more successfully begin new and improved health regimens, diets, and the like, simply because it is a time when you look in the mirror and see yourself clearly (instead of what you want to see).
You can be serious during this phase, with more concern for your responsibilities and duties. You are getting in touch with your inner strength, which takes time and adjustment. This Saturn transit is a grounding energy that brings you back in touch with reality.
It’s also a significant period for issues surrounding your personal identity and self-image. You may come across as too heavy or stern during this period since not everyone is going through the same cycle simultaneously. However, others see you as more responsible. Self-discipline also comes more naturally.
The best way to handle Saturn’s transit through your sign is to meet your responsibilities to the best of your ability. Take a closer look at the areas you’ve allowed to slide, and listen to your disappointment, but don’t let this turn into debilitating regret or resentment. Instead, focus on making improvements and keep in mind the long-term. Short-sightedness now can get you into trouble. Impatience doesn’t bring rewards during this cycle.
You could find that you don’t seem to “get away with” as much as you might usually while this transit is active.
The last time Saturn transited Aries was from April 1996 to June 1998 and October 1998 to February 1999.
There may be times when family or home goals interfere with your efforts to get back on track. Try to look within rather than to others for happiness. Fortunately, however, it’s a generally good period for strengthening your life and building endurance and patience.
Your self-discipline is increasing, and it’s an excellent time for productivity. You recognize the value of a more balanced approach to personal growth.
Note that you’ll feel this influence most intensely earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Aries. For example, in 2025 during its first leg of the transit, it influences those born from approximately March 21-23 and with an Aries Ascendant of 0-2 degrees the most. The rest of the sign will feel its influence more directly in later years. In 2026, it impacts the following degrees of Aries: 0 to 14 degrees. In 2027, it’s Aries from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted. while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Aries. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
During this transit, you are likely to concern yourself with how you come across to others on a personal level. Your outlook on life changes as you adopt a more serious, mature, and responsible attitude.
In the beginning stages of the transit, you may lack some self-confidence and could be frustrated with yourself. You might reach out to others in an attempt to validate yourself, looking for ways to boost your confidence. When these attempts fail, you may feel temporarily let down and discouraged.
Rest assured that Saturn will rework these feelings, with your help, until you reach a stage (as Saturn moves through the first house or passes over your Sun in Aries) when you have a stronger sense of self. This transit transforms your self-confidence in such a way that you question the source of your confidence to date and discover a more solid base for pulling up inner strength and, thus, true confidence.
Saturn here acts to rip away the superficial. You’ll no longer entertain illusions about the self, the body, and personal abilities. You might decide to simplify your approach to the world. The result can be a newfound or redefined identity and a realistic understanding of yourself.
It’s important to note that when Saturn is challenged by other planets during this cycle, a realistic look can skew to an unrealistically negative perception. Watch for this. It can help to go in the other direction before arriving at a balance, but the trick is to bounce back to that balance relatively quickly.
As mentioned above, in terms of career and projects, outward signs of progress may not be remarkable, yet the work you do during this transit will lay a foundation for future success. For example, you may be working on projects that yield little or nothing in terms of immediate financial gain that will assist your career years down the road. Saturn is the natural ruler of your sector of reputation, career, life path, and responsibility, and as that ruler, these life departments are deeply involved in this personal transit. You could find a more suitable career path, or it finds you. Instead, you could be working more diligently along your current path, and your professional or public role more strongly impacts your personal journey.
At some point during Saturn’s movement through Aries, Saturn will conjunct your Sun (or Ascendant). Your level of maturity, realism, and responsibility comes up for inspection when this happens. The goals you have set for yourself, as well as your very character, are now re-evaluated for strength and purpose, and tested against reality.
Saturn has a way of slowing down our lives as if forcing us to take a really good look at it. Because the Sun rules our vitality, you may feel that your energy is somewhat depleted during this phase. You begin to feel your age, and the pressures that may accompany it. You may feel alone and un-parented or unsupported in spots, some people more so than others depending on current circumstances and levels of personal growth. Your achievements to date become especially important to you, and you are extremely sensitive to whether or not you have been recognized on a professional level as well as on a personal level.
As well, whether or not your talents, abilities, unique individuality, or character are recognized by others becomes a hot spot. You might be self-critical or feel that others do not support or acknowledge you enough. You might find yourself pulling away from others as you take the necessary time to re-evaluate your life.
This process can be helpful up to a certain point, as you are learning to see yourself more realistically–without rose-colored glasses–to move forward with a stronger sense of purpose. Some commitments or plans might need to be relinquished. You might regret how you have lived your life to date, but once you honor those feelings (which seem necessary to move forward), you are in a better position to make improvements.
Key points:
- Priorities: This is a time for identifying and focusing on your priorities.
- Working on your approach: Your personal image, manner, and appearance are now being reworked to suit you better in this new phase of your life. If you’ve acquired false pretenses without realizing it over the years, now you’re ready to shed them (or getting yourself ready to shed them).
- Maturity: This is a time for taking more responsibility for yourself, self-starting, and taking the initiative.
- Setting long-term goals: Instead of living for today, you might now decide to set some realistic, long-term goals. Plans don’t always pan out, but broad goals can be useful. What you begin now can be significant down the road.
Note that this transit happens every 28-30 years or so, and the last time Saturn transited Aries was from 1996 to 1999. The next time Saturn will journey through Aries will be from 2055 to 2058!
It’s a period for strengthening your life and building endurance and patience. Saturn brings the need to take care of matters that were previously left untied, unfinished, or neglected altogether.
If there have been areas of life entirely up in the air, Saturn’s transit asks that you take care of them. The ultimate message here is to feel more in charge of your life. After all, more order and accountability are empowering.
Saturn rules your solar tenth house of career, responsibilities, life path, and reputation, and you identify more strongly with these life departments during this transit.
Taurus
Saturn moves into the sign just behind yours with its transit of Aries, dear Taurus. This puts Saturn in the background of your solar chart from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
This Saturn transit is an important cycle of contemplation, spiritual renovation, and better–or more structured–attention to mental and emotional health. It’s a time for facing your inner demons and tackling the vague fears that undermine you.
The twelfth house (where Saturn is currently transiting in your solar chart), in some ways, is a dumping ground for things we have left undone, and Saturn here wants you to sort through it all and keep only those things that you truly need for future development. This process can sometimes feel long and slow, but it can be most rewarding.
It’s important to rid yourself of regrets or perceived failures and disappointments as a Saturn-Sun cycle enters its last leg before coming full circle in 2028, when Saturn enters Taurus for a jaunt of over two years.
While Saturn transits this hidden area of your solar chart, you may be attracted to alternative ways of living and self-study fields or psychoanalysis.
You are well-positioned to evaluate whether you are getting enough time for adequate sleep, rest, and reflection. In fact, this can be a mission at this point in your life!
You’re likely to feel this transit most strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Taurus.
In 2025, it influences those born from approximately April 21-23 or with a Taurus Ascendant of 0-2 degrees the most. The rest of the sign will feel its influence more directly in later years. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Taurus. In 2027, it’s Taurus from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Taurus. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
All that lies beneath the surface in your life is now coming up for inspection, and it’s time for serious “spring cleaning” of your psyche. Eliminating outdated attachments and examining and discarding irrational fears is not only necessary for further growth and development, it’s ultimately a huge relief.
Do your best not to dwell on past failures or guilt for what you haven’t done during this cycle. It’s worthwhile to consider them, most certainly, but not to dwell. Detach yourself from these things as much as possible. Put things to rest.
This can also be a time when you give of yourself to others, as you value charity more than usual. You could be struggling with issues of self-worth, and this is an excellent time to dig deep and explore what holds you back from going after what you want and deserve in life.
You could feel that you are dealing with endings more than new beginnings in some areas of life during this transit as you let go of outdated attachments and unconsciously prepare yourself for Saturn’s transit of Taurus beginning in April 2028, when you will work diligently on reworking your individuality and personal identity.
You are somewhat introspective or reflective at this time–you might isolate yourself from others in some manner–a process that comes naturally at this point.
There can be much to learn and enjoy during this cycle. With Saturn in the background of your chart, you often feel free of constraints.
Still, much of what’s happening is not apparent to others–it’s happening on the inside or behind the scenes.
The last time Saturn moved through Aries as it is doing now was from 1996 to early 1999, and similar themes can emerge now.
Saturn’s trek through Aries can be very revealing — for some Taureans, more challenging than others. This transit marks the end of a cycle, which can most certainly bring with it a fair measure of confusion and discontent, especially at the beginning of the period. However, this tends to dissipate as you go along.
During this phase, there can be a retiring, somewhat withdrawn, or private element to your personality. You may need to watch that people in your life don’t feel rejected by your withdrawal. Health issues, sometimes of an emotional nature, may come to the fore.
We all have skeletons in our closets. What we don’t always realize is that they can seriously undermine our happiness and well-being. Saturn is now sweeping through your “closet” (the twelfth house) and demanding that you look hard at what’s been hiding there! Is this process uncomfortable? For many of us, it can be. But tying up loose ends is powerful, setting the stage for new beginnings later.
In truth, this is a “clearing the decks” phase as you prepare for a new cycle when Saturn moves into Taurus.
Key points:
- Tying up loose ends: This is a time for facing long-term problems that you’ve been avoiding and that have been wearing you down.
- Reevaluating spiritual/mental health routines and practices: Your approach to taking care of your emotional, mental, and spiritual needs may need some tweaking, and now is the time to improve these efforts and routines.
Saturn rules your solar ninth house of spirit, beliefs, concepts, higher learning, the higher mind, travel, adventure, and publishing, and these life departments may involve restructuring, endings, or more withdrawal and private elements.
You might keep your beliefs, personal interests, or journeys closer to your chest during this cycle. There could be hidden behind-the-scenes elements to these matters. You may be spending more time guiding others or in private correspondence.
Saturn in your solar twelfth house asks you to define things that you often prefer to remain unspoken, up in the air, or hidden. As you face things you’d rather not address, there can be some discomfort. Rest assured, however, that working through the skeletons in your closet will help prepare you for solid new beginnings later.
Depending on your current stage of growth, Saturn in the background of your chart can leave you mainly feeling free of constraints or scrutiny compared to other Saturn transits. It’s up to you, however, to work on all that’s hidden or undercover in your life, as it will benefit you greatly.
Sometimes, elements of your past that make you uncomfortable can emerge during this transit. It’s a powerful period for self-reflection, and it’s a great time to learn from this discomfort! While you should watch for being unnecessarily harsh or judgmental, aim to process these feelings and do some tidying up or gaining closure so that you can move ahead with less guilt or regret.
The goal is to mature and move ahead with better goals and rules for yourself that serve you and your “future self” well. Breaking from the past can be powerful if done mindfully.
This period can be one in which there are blocks or obstacles with your usual support systems. Your private life is not as it once was, and restructuring is needed.
You might watch for an in-law who is a hidden enemy or possibly a burden during this period. Caution is recommended with any type of association that is sketchy. You might be more mindful of what you say or release. Others may use it against you, for example, or perhaps use your work without your permission/take credit. Instead, unsettled matters, a lack of closure, or fears you’re wrestling with can temporarily undermine your desire to connect more freely when Saturn forms a square with Jupiter in June 2025.
In August 2025, you are in particularly good shape for clearing out problem areas, even long-standing ones, through changes and updates to money matters, business, and personal things (material goods). There can be a helpful person who is integral to improving your current financial state or confidence in your talents and self-worth.
Throughout this Saturn transit, it’s a good period for wrapping up projects and editing and organizing work. You can tap into your wisdom and experience and apply it to the real world or practical matters. Structuring your need for self-renewal and downtime is helpful.
You could be working on a project in solitude or behind the scenes, and when you do come out with it, it could be quite profitable. Ideally, you can translate your idealism and ideas into practical applications in your life.
More signs will appear here.
Gemini
You’ve spent at least a couple of years focusing much of your energy on your place in society, responsibilities, and social standing while Saturn transited your (solar) tenth house, dear Gemini. Now, you’re ideally at a point where you realistically know what you are doing and where you are headed professionally.
With Saturn now in Aries and/or transiting your solar eleventh house, your personal goals and aspirations come under Saturn’s scrutiny. How you fit in with others, your affiliations with people and groups, and your peers are becoming more serious matters to you now.
The eleventh house rules your social life, friendships, networking, happiness pursuits, innovative ideas, and hopes or dreams. There may be tests of sorts in these areas of life, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests, but suitable ones will endure and strengthen.
This transit runs from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028. You’ll feel it more strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Gemini, or the degree of your Gemini Ascendant. In 2025, those most directly affected by this transit are those born from approximately May 20-22 or a Gemini Ascendant of 0-2 degrees. The rest of the sign will feel its influence more directly in later years. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Gemini. In 2027, it’s Gemini from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Gemini receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
Tests can come to your friendships during this long-term cycle. You may be more discriminating when it comes to making new friends, or circumstances are such that you spend more concentrated energy on networking and involvement in your community or in teams and groups.
Existing friendships may experience some tests or trials during this cycle, and one or more friendships may end. True ones, however, will strengthen. In fact, this can be an incredible period for forming or strengthening a lasting alliance with a person, group, or cause.
Keeping friendships strong and healthy requires effort. Friends or group affiliations may seem more demanding of your time and energy now, or you might feel stressed about how much of yourself you put into your social obligations.
There can be some strain on a friendship due to an increased focus on other areas of life for some of you. Friendships or causes can sometimes drain you if you give too much while ignoring your other needs.
There can be stress from both personal and social camps as each area of life demands much of you (or you want more from these things!).
As well, there can be times when your associations or groups focus so much on negative or weighty issues that you feel pulled down. If so, you might try to divide your time more mindfully, drawing boundaries that work best for you.
Alternatively, you might contribute to your community in significant, tangible, and practical ways during this transit. There can be nice opportunities to make long-lasting connections. You can have more influence in a group, possibly naturally taking the lead. You might decide to give back to your community in a tangible, measurable way. It’s a vital time for making solid plans for your future.
You may want to be more involved in a particular cause. Learning or studying with and through friends and groups can be beneficial.
Overall, this is a rewarding period, particularly if you focus more on long-term benefits and less on short-term frustrations. Saturn is now in a comfortable position vis-a-vis your sign, taking a lot of weight and pressure off.
There can be tense times when social goals or friendships clash with your personal goals and desire for predictability or familiarity and security. Your desire to become more secure or ambition to boost your money or resources is stronger. However, you are respected in your group or circle, and you might form alliances with people with similar grievances. Drawing some boundaries in a friendship or with others can come naturally. It’s a fine time for putting energy into a group effort or teamwork. When Saturn is doing well in its transit of your eleventh house, your friendships tend to be mutually beneficial.
A question of accountability or commitment involving a friend or business goal can also figure strongly. You can be recognized as a leader, guide, or authority on a matter. You might learn something sobering about a friend or a cherished goal or dream, but as a result, you’ll get a stronger sense of what is truly realizable.
It’s worthwhile to note that the beginning of Saturn’s transits can feel slightly off or disappointing. You might feel that your personal “circle” or your networks are superficial or unsatisfying at the beginning of the transit. You might feel alienated as you begin to see them for what they are –or are not –worth. You might feel some disdain for the superficial workings of casual friendships and begin to feel uncomfortable and self-conscious about “going through the motions,” doing and saying the right things, and so forth.
Alternatively, you might meet someone with whom you establish a serious friendship at this time, or you might become a member of a group or affiliation that you devote much of your time to. Weeding out what seems now to be superfluous social associations from your life is possible during this transit as you become more serious about what you want, on a personal level, from your life.
You might take a hard look at the role you play in others’ lives and consider exactly what it is that satisfies you and contributes to your happiness, beyond partnership, romance, career, religion, and so forth. As Saturn moves further through the house, and by the time the transit is over, you ideally will have found ways to bring definition and articulation to your innermost wishes and hopes for your personal path.
You’re also learning to give to others what you want to receive from them. It’s an excellent time to see friendships, social affairs, or projects more clearly, although sometimes a little sternly! You might discover that some of your friends or group associations are no longer in line with your current path, and some connections or means of connecting may be breaking down while others strengthen. Feelings of lack in your social life can magnify, prompting changes.
It’s a good time to establish long-lasting ties, but you may deal with some disillusionments or adjustments in the process. During this cycle, you are less vulnerable to self-delusion.
Saturn may bring a strong, helpful, and mature friend into your experience. Or, you might reconnect with a past friend.
At some point during Saturn’s stay in the sign of Aries, it forms a harmonious sextile to your Sun (or Ascendant). This happens to both you and Aquarius because you each have a special relationship with the sign. Strengthened relationships with authority figures or older people may play a supportive role in your life now, primarily due to your own humbler attitude. The work you do and the responsibilities you take on provide you with a solid sense of purpose. Because you have a more mature grasp of your capabilities, you project a more responsible, perhaps serious, and self-assured personality to others. You can look at yourself in a realistic and reasonable manner.
One of the major sources of stress and guilt in our lives stems from uncertainty. Unnecessary stress comes from overestimating our capabilities and responsibilities and inevitably failing to meet them. Things nag at the back of our minds. Saturn offers us realism, and with his sextile to your Sun/Ascendant, you see yourself and your capabilities more clearly and realistically. You know your responsibilities at this time in your life, and you meet them!
Key points:
- Putting a plan into motion: This is a time for making solid long-term plans for achieving a cherished wish or dream or for putting in some solid work toward a “happiness goal.”
- Re-evaluation of long-term goals: You’re also taking a hard look at your happiness goals and dreams, and perhaps reconsidering those that don’t hold weight or support your current level of growth.
- Straightening out your social life: Your social life should support you, and if it hasn’t been cutting the mustard, now is the time to make changes.
- Maturity: This is a time for taking more responsibility for the group or community.
Note that Saturn last moved through Aries from 1996-1999. While different configurations occurred back then, some overarching themes can re-emerge in 2025-2028.
Cancer
With Saturn in Aries, this planetary guide and coach is transiting your (solar) tenth house, dear Cancer, which rules your professional and public image or reputation.
During this important cycle, you’ll re-evaluate your professional standing, responsibilities, and outward signs/measures of success. Saturn transits this area of your solar chart from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
It’s time to build a secure foundation in your professional or most public life. It can be a period for receiving recognition and career “rewards,” or you might feel the weight of poor decisions made to date, necessitating a shift in priorities.
You’ll strive toward a more realistic approach to achieving your dreams and goals since Saturn dislikes sloppiness and waste! During this transit, you take a matter-of-fact look at what you’ve built and achieved.
While there can be moments of tension or stress while Saturn transits this area of your chart, you no longer view your place in the world, career, reputation, and standing in society with rose-colored glasses, which aids decision-making. It’s a no-nonsense period for better managing your responsibilities.
Certainly, it depends on your age or the current stage of your life whether this area of your solar chart relates more to your career path, overarching life-path goals, your responsibilities, or public life. Authority figures come under the rule of this sector of the chart as well. Again, depending on your current circumstances, these can be parents, bosses, managers, the government, or teachers.
There may be tests in these areas of life, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. Those that are suitable will endure and strengthen. You can help this process along by actively boosting and bolstering vulnerable areas.
You’ll feel this transit strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Cancer or the particular degree of your Cancer Ascendant. In 2025, those most directly affected by this transit were born from approximately June 22-24 and with a Cancer Ascendant of 0-2 degrees. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Cancer. In 2027, it’s Cancer from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Cancer receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
During this powerful cycle, your career requires critical decisions and choices. Major projects may come to fruition, and this can be a time for reaping their rewards, but there can be some disappointment now as well if you haven’t achieved what you wanted to accomplish. You are certainly more accountable for what you have and haven’t done.
You may acquire a higher position now, and if so, you are likely to feel the weight of increased responsibilities that come with it. Or, there can be issues to handle with a parent or parent figure or a boss/authority figure in your life. Another possibility is that you now find yourself more accountable for what you do–people are watching, and it’s a time for answering more questions and making adjustments if needed.
While this period can be a tad challenging at times, particularly when Saturn forms a square to your Sun or Ascendant, there are some dazzling spots, making it rewarding overall, particularly if you focus more on long-term benefits and less on short-term frustrations.
Ironically enough, there is freedom in knowing some of our limitations, and Saturn’s transit through the tenth house teaches you exactly what this means. By the time Saturn leaves this area of your chart, you will have learned where you stand in the world and how you have previously limited your achievements. This self-evaluation then allows you to appraise where you genuinely want to go in life, above and beyond your obligations or expectations imposed upon you.
Now is your chance to build a secure foundation in your professional or public life. You might initially feel exposed, publicly scrutinized, or under fire. This discomfort comes only as a result of a sudden rush of reality, and if the distress is great, it may be that you’ve been holding onto false images of yourself, and it’s now time to drop these, which can come as a relief. Your work or accomplishments are now more visible.
Just as a mid-life crisis is experienced differently by different people, Saturn’s transit of the tenth house holds different meanings for different people. As Saturn progresses through the house, you feel more secure in your ambitions.
At some point during Saturn’s movement through Aries, Saturn transits square your Sun (or Ascendant)–this depends very much on the degree of your Cancer Sun or Ascendant (earlier degrees receive this transit earlier than later degrees). The square aspect happens for Cancer and Capricorn. Note that Saturn forms a square to the Sun approximately every 14-15 years and is usually in influence for about 9 months.
When this square does happen, you may experience some form of disillusionment with regard to an important person in your life, with an authority figure, or with your personal plans and objectives. You may feel a bit left out, blocked from advancing in your chosen life path, or lacking in energy and confidence. Ego boosts don’t seem to be forthcoming; if they are, you don’t see them in such a light. Some sort of buckling down is necessary now, and you might perceive limitations as coming from other people or unlucky circumstances. Financial blocks are quite possible at this time, especially if the Sun is associated with the second or eighth house.
Physically, this may be a relatively low period when you don’t have that extra “oomph” or drive to accomplish more than what is already on your plate. You might be looking at your physical body more realistically, although you might focus too heavily on the flaws. You might also question your worth, again finding many faults you previously glossed over.
However, you might choose to get to work on making improvements. Improvements will not come overnight, but a slow and steady approach will bring rewards later. A general feeling of “slowdown” is likely, and if regular tasks seem more overwhelming than usual, it could be due to poor spirits and lack of motivation. Sometimes, this transit is associated with problems with the teeth, bones in general, and the skin. It is also associated with mechanical breakdowns. Saturn calls upon you to identify the weaker areas of your life and to fix or strengthen them.
Once beyond the square, you’ve likely fixed several minor problems that will get you back on track. Pressures tend to dissipate. You might thoroughly enjoy your work and projects. Building something long-lasting and practical makes sense now. In many ways, you’re likely to feel more “in the know” and realistic and on top of your game.
This period can be likened on a symbolic level to the transition to adulthood and the acceptance of responsibilities. There can be some level of distancing from others as you get yourself together.
Key points:
- Choosing a path and committing to it: This can be a time for a turning point in your career or regarding overall goals and life path/direction, status, or standing.
- Responsibility and accountability: You might assume more responsibility for yourself, particularly related to career path matters, and it helps you succeed. Others notice what you’re doing, more so than usual.
- Becoming more aware of how your reputation helps or hinders you: It’s a powerful period for a reminder of the impact of your reputation on your life story.
If you’ve been unclear in these life areas, Saturn here helps you crystallize things.
Nevertheless, you can sometimes have struggles juggling your newfound ambition or need for structure with your with your love for learning and spirited living. Criticism can be annoying, although there can be a small kernel of helpful truth in it that you might use to your advantage. Aim to handle your responsibilities to help free yourself up for more lighthearted fare.
You’re getting to a very healthy balance between optimism and practicality. Pacing yourself comes more naturally to you now. You may join with people who further your career or personal interests, and through their support, faith in you, or wisdom, you are encouraged to reach your highest potential.
Aim to take an honest look at how your status or reputation affects your life. It may be worth it to present a more mature or cool-headed image in appropriate places.
Many of you (especially those with a Cancer Ascendant – What’s My Ascendant?) will enjoy a career peak of sorts at some point during this cycle — this is a time of achievement, accomplishment, harvest, recognition, and the taking on of new responsibilities. If you’ve cut corners, however, this can be a time to deal with those consequences and make things right.
A partnership could become more public, committed, or serious during this period.
A new responsibility can fall into your lap, and it’s likely to be a desirable one in the long term. Others, particularly higher-ups (which can include bosses, parents, and teachers), recognize your reliability. Being prudent, realistic, discreet, and disciplined when it comes to business or public affairs is especially important now. While there may be sobering or serious circumstances, they clear the path to move forward and thrive. Foundations laid down now can be very enduring.
The last time Saturn moved through Aries as it does now was from April 1996 to June 1998 and October 1998 to February 1999.
Leo
Saturn’s transit of Aries brings this planetary coach and guide into harmony with your sign, dear Leo, which is excellent for feeling on track, stable, and strong enough to meet life’s challenges. You are less inclined to rebel or react–you’re ready to live life more authentically and true to yourself.
With this shift, Saturn is now transiting the sector of your (solar) chart that rules your attitudes, beliefs, spirit, outlook, and sense of adventure. This transit involves critical attention to and firming of your knowledge, belief systems, training, and legal issues.
Self-improvement is what this Saturn cycle is about in your life. You are developing your ideals and your commitments as transiting Saturn makes its way through your solar ninth house.
It’s a period of building greater personal strength, largely due to a more reliable connection with reality, a firmer grip on your priorities, and a better attitude toward meeting your responsibilities.
Overall, your life will likely feel more stable, and you’ll generally feel more comfortable with yourself. Because you have a more mature grasp of your capabilities, you project a more responsible, perhaps serious, and self-assured personality to others.
You are also taking a sterner look at your belief systems or educational path. You could be teaching, guiding, or coming to the end of a cycle of learning, personal interests, or business. This transit challenges you to look at life and your future more realistically and practically. There can be important accomplishments in publishing or education for some.
There may be tests or reassessments in the areas of higher learning, belief systems, travel, and adventurous experiences. It can feel as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Those things built on weak foundations may well crack under the pressure of these tests. Those that are suitable and worthwhile, however, will endure and strengthen further.
Tests can come to your ideas, mobility, worldview, outlook, or learning endeavors during this cycle. The need for reliable, solid, practical training becomes apparent now. Always with Saturn transits, the goal is to achieve more maturity in the affected areas of life. You might scrutinize the belief system you’ve held to date and question your faith — in others, yourself, and life itself. You’re now seeking out practical and workable solutions to problems.
Your ability to leisure-travel or engage in higher learning could be limited during this period. You may not be as adventurous, preferring to stick around home and your neighborhood, or perhaps for some, stuck there. It can also be a period of teaching others what you’ve learned.
The term of this transit is one of greater realism and practicality. You feel more capable of meeting your responsibilities. Life feels robust and stable, and the benefits of this influence are likely to be felt most strongly when Saturn officially forms a trine to your Sun or Ascendant (earlier in the cycle for those born earlier in the sign of Leo and later for later Leos–2025 for very early Leos, and 2026-2028 for the remainder of Leos). You are likely to enjoy many opportunities to set your life in order.
While this influence is in effect, sharing ideas and beliefs can be gratifying and rewarding. Still, you might notice that you’re more accountable for what you say and have said in the past. It’s an important time to double-check your facts.
Boosting your health through participating in different, new, or refreshing activities can figure strongly. Benefits can also come to your daily affairs or job as you branch out. This could be a time when your work ties in with a different culture or great distance, teaching, publishing, or advertising fields.
Ideals and spiritual goals that you may have accepted with little thought or worked with for many years might suddenly seem superficial or not particularly useful anymore. Perhaps your faith is tested in some way, and you begin to feel more skeptical of some of your most basic assumptions about life itself.
Some Leos might begin new studies as they subconsciously prepare for Saturn’s next house transit (after this transit, Saturn will reach the peak of your solar chart). If you’re currently studying, you might begin questioning what exactly you are working towards or the usefulness of your course of study. Does this line of study match your true self? Will it truly benefit you?
Many Leos will examine their attitudes, assumptions about life, and faith. The ninth house has much to do with our outlook, personal philosophy, and sense of adventure. It’s also associated with our faith, hope, and vision. Its connection to higher learning and travel could mean these things are subject to restrictions or re-evaluations. Still, for many, it is more about taking a closer look at and re-assessing your attitude or general outlook on life, your faith or vision, and your bravery or confidence for embarking on new adventures – for venturing forth beyond the boundaries of your everyday existence.
In the initial stages of the transit, there can be some moments when you feel a little somber, skeptical, or disillusioned. The faith or optimism that may have carried you to date comes up for inspection. Are your belief systems sound? What do you stand for? What kind of future are you working towards, and why? The spirit that drives and motivates you to move out and beyond the everyday grind is now tested or questioned.
By the end of the transit, you will have ideally discovered what truly and honestly offers you hope and optimism and what fuels your drive. It’s a time for rebuilding your faith in yourself and your beliefs through attachment to ideals and goals authentically representing you. A shaky feeling that causes you to sputter and avoid risks will be replaced with a more mature attitude towards adventure and facing the unknown.
Consider that with this transit, you are learning to let go of self-defeating attitudes and belief systems that have held you back. You’re recognizing exactly where you have been overdoing your expectations, and you’re finding new, more rewarding, and more honest-to-yourself ways to nurture faith, hope, and vision. The aim is for truth and wisdom, not only facts, information, and knowledge.
As mentioned, at some point during Saturn’s stay in Aries, it will form a trine to your Sun (or Ascendant). The exact time depends on your Sun or Ascendant’s numerical degree of Leo. Note that this trine aspect also happens for Sagittarius since Leo and Sagittarius have a trine relationship with Aries.
During this trine, you feel more comfortable with who you are. Because you have a more mature grasp of your capabilities, you project a more responsible, perhaps serious, and self-assured personality to others. You are notably open to receiving grounded, practical advice and benefit from humbly learning from others. Your life seems more stable during this period, likely because you are able to look at yourself realistically and reasonably, and because you are less vulnerable to self-delusion.
A significant source of stress and guilt in our lives stems from uncertainty. A tremendous amount of pressure is generated from overestimating our capabilities and responsibilities and inevitably failing to meet them. Things nag at the back of our minds. Saturn offers us realism, and with his trine to your Sun, you see yourself and your capabilities more clearly and realistically. This transit tends to reduce uncertainty and offers a welcome reprieve from guilt and fear. At this time in your life, you know what your responsibilities are–and, for the most part, you meet them.
This influence is with you from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028. Note that when you feel this influence most strongly depends on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Leo. In 2025, those born with a Sun or Ascendant of 0-2 degrees Leo or born from approximately July 22-24 are most directly impacted. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Leo. In 2027, it’s Leo from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Leo receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
This transit encourages you to build something slowly and carefully. It’s a good time to consider putting out your message responsibly.
You have a great need to make productive use of your time, especially concerning learning endeavors and long-term goals. You might recognize the need to concentrate, focus, and specialize now, and this is a period for adding more structure to your life by setting reasonable but definite goals. It’s a time for seeing things very differently, and perhaps a little more seriously.
Key points:
- Learning and applying your knowledge: You’re seeing your life and your place in it through a wiser, more mature lens. It’s a time to build your skills and knowledge set in an organized, more methodical manner.
- Developing a worldview/philosophy/belief system that you can truly get behind: You are seeking out a more authentic belief system–one that supports you and represents you.
You could find that structuring time spent on communications is most beneficial at this stage in your life. Saturn teaches the lessons of moderation and emphasizes quality over quantity. Unplugging regularly and focusing more intently on priorities when you are plugged in can be especially useful for you.
Certainly, disruptions in your private life can sometimes distract your efforts to buckle down. Past matters or issues that have been left unresolved or without closure can clash with your efforts toward a more structured lifestyle elsewhere. However, it’s a generally auspicious time to form permanent alliances that positively influence your life. Older and mature people can come into your circle. Learning and teaming up with others through study groups or friendships based on shared beliefs and interests can benefit you, although you’re also in great shape for self-directed study. It’s a good time for laying down plans and forming or cementing long-term friendships.
Your expectations of your daily affairs, people you work or share daily chores with, and your day job or chores can even out. You’ll discover that you see definite improvements as you let go of unhealthy expectations and pressures.
Take advantage of your discipline and common sense at this time. It’s a potentially powerful time to get your life on track or launch a new, practical initiative.
Virgo
After over two years there, Saturn is now exiting your partnership sector, dear Virgo. There can be a sense of relief or release now since this also means Saturn is no longer opposing your sign. Vitality and optimism can improve.
Of course, Saturn doesn’t disappear from your chart; rather, Saturn moves on, and it now turns your attention to firming up financial and intimate arrangements. Still, this shift takes the direct pressure off.
Saturn is now transiting the sector of your solar chart that rules intimacy, sharing, and shared finances, or money and property from a source other than your direct personal income. There may be tests, challenges, and rewards in these areas of life while Saturn transits here from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. What was built on weak foundations may very well crack under the pressure of these tests, but what’s worth your time will endure and strengthen.
You’ll feel this influence most strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Virgo. In other words, people born early in the sign will experience Saturn’s transit more directly earlier than those born later in Virgo, and will be done with it sooner as well!
In 2025, those most directly affected by this transit are those born from approximately August 22-24 or with a Virgo Ascendant of 0-2 degrees. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Virgo. In 2027, it’s Virgo from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Virgo receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
The last time Saturn moved through Aries was from April 1996 to June 1998 and October 1998 to February 1999–you could experience similar themes you did then, if applicable.
Your values are evolving, and during this cycle, you can discover that previous methods of controlling your environment and the people in your life don’t serve you well. Or, there can be a change in support, financial or otherwise, that requires adjustments. The challenge is to tidy up and manage those things you share with others (money, resources, power) and matters of dependence and intimacy.
It’s a time to tackle fears of losing control and an excellent time to work on a plan to reduce debt. Dissatisfaction or frustrations with getting what you want, especially in relationships or with money, may magnify initially, motivating you to make changes. As you discover that you can live without certain things or as you adapt to changing circumstances, you build a stronger relationship with–and trust in–yourself.
You may be dealing with fears of surrendering yourself, emotionally or financially, to others. Depending on your current circumstances, it can be the opposite–fear of losing some level of support. Support from others may not be as forthcoming as it has been in the past. For example, a partner’s income may decrease, or another form of financial support may be reduced or limited during this period. This circumstance requires you to assume more independence in making a living or making your way, and it can ultimately be quite empowering.
Emotionally, there can be a feeling that others are not as supportive. There can be delays or difficulties in general when it comes to getting what you want/need from others. Intimacy may seem to dry up before it gets better, but it does get better!
But despite some setbacks, it’s a vital time for handling financial matters, primarily debts and taxes, logically and realistically. These are unlikely to be drastic changes, but rather more on the lines of slow but sure progress, little by little.
In fact, there can even be joy in simplifying these areas of life. You’re productive and committed. You may make a meaningful commitment or form a powerful alliance or attachment. It’s also a good time for securing a supporter or some backing, although this can take some trial and error.
While this period can be a tad stark at times, particularly when Saturn forms a quincunx to your Sun or Ascendant, there are some dazzling spots, making it a rewarding period overall, particularly if you focus more on long-term benefits and less on short-term frustrations. Saturn often brings on enough realism to help you get yourself on track.
Aim to make positive lifestyle changes and straighten out key areas of your life.
This period is excellent for exploring your attachments. How do you handle power? Your desire nature? Intimate relationships? What kind of obsessions or addictions do you have? What are your deep-rooted compulsions? Unhealthy attachments? With Saturn transiting your (solar) eighth house, you’ll answer these questions truthfully and honestly–no beating around the bush.
At the beginning of the transit, you may be especially sensitive to a sense of outer-world pressures that force you to examine and question some of your deepest desires and attachments. These include your sexual relationships, finances (especially regarding debts, obligations, and shared finances), and your need for control.
Sometimes, Saturn transiting this area of your chart highlights sexual dysfunctions or waning desires/boredom, whether we encounter these in ourselves or our partners. We may face difficulties satisfying our libido or experience problems with intimacy. These pressures help us become more aware of our desire nature and what exactly it is we want. Dissatisfaction and frustrations getting what you want can increase temporarily, moving or motivating you to make changes.
While Saturn was in Pisces in the transit immediately preceding this one, some of you committed a relationship, and/or left a long-term partnership behind. Now with Saturn in Aries, you may face the challenges of a long-term partnership, including sharing finances, power dynamics, and sexual routine, or facing the challenges of living your life without a partner and getting your needs met. Merging in this way is tricky and requires much maturity, but the efforts made toward this goal can be gratifying.
On other levels, too, past methods of controlling your environment and the people in your lives no longer seem effective. It can be surprising to recognize how you have been employing power and control to date. Now is the time to get in touch with yourself and your motivations.
With Saturn here, we become much more aware of our mortality. Just as Saturn’s transits to our Sun or Ascendant make us more conscious of our age, Saturn transiting the eighth house can bring a realization that our time will one day come. Of course, we know this as a fact at the back of our minds, but we often live in denial of it. Saturn in this area of our charts has a way of bringing this more strongly to our attention, and it affects our decisions and choices. Taking our lives more seriously and seeing life as more precious is a theme now. It can be a time when you recognize that it’s wise to plan ahead via matters of insurance, wills, pensions, and the like. Saturn asks us to mature, plan for the future, and prepare. Thinking in the long term makes sense now.
It’s a good time to organize your finances. Saturn tends to see to it that you do! For example, there may be a loss of one form of income or insecurity about the same, which leads to adjustments. Financial obligations to others might feel especially burdensome now. In some cases, a partner is dealing with economic issues.
For other Virgos, you may be supporting so much that it feels too constricting. It’s not an ideal transit under which to ask for help or support, although you are likely to get what you need, and it’s a great time for consolidating debts and working on a plan to reduce debt. You might instead be in a very responsible position to take care of others’ money or resources, and this is a job you don’t take lightly.
Dealing with deep-seated fears, anger, and resentment may be necessary, healthy, and purging during this cycle. You might face some of your fears that are of a compulsive nature–those fears that lead you to believe that you need certain things to survive.
Take a small example of a superstition. Perhaps we perform a small ritual that we feel will help protect us or give us good luck. If we do it often enough, it becomes an addiction. We are afraid that we will set ourselves up for bad luck if we don’t perform this ritual. If we eliminate this superstition, we feel stronger. Something as simple as superstition can undermine us since we are giving away our power over ourselves to this compulsive behavior. We deny that we have power over our own lives.
The same is true of any form of compulsive behavior and addiction. We attempt to control our lives through these behaviors, but what we are really doing is letting the addictions control us. When we give in to compulsive behaviors, we give up self-control, and guilt undermines our lives. We are not ourselves. By attempting to control others, we give away our power. Saturn in this area of your solar chart helps you recognize these behaviors–and fix them.
In relationships with others and yourself, you’re learning about anger, control, shame, jealousy, fears of betrayal, power, and trust. You’re taking a harder look at these things now.
Towards the end of the transit, you may have eliminated some deep-seated habits and attachments that prevented you from feeling emotionally free. You emerge healthier and stronger. You may have put some of your addictions and superstitions behind you. You might feel more powerful because you have given up attempting to control things you cannot or should not control, and you will have gained a healthy feeling of self-mastery.
Another important theme emerging with this transit is taking an honest and mature look at jealousy. It’s not as ugly as all that if you don’t act on it maliciously. In fact, facing and admitting to yourself those things that leave you feeling jealous or envious can be a powerful exercise, awakening you to desires you never knew you had. Once you know what you genuinely want or wish you had, it can be time for a reasonable plan to go for it.
Bonds are tight and may feel constricting, but fulfilling your duties to others can be ultimately satisfying. In some cases, others’ demands are unreasonable, and you may face this fact now. However, in many cases, you may recognize where you can bend and accommodate, which is humbling. You may need to define boundaries more clearly in your relationships if sharing power, time, money, and resources feels very off, and it often does during this transit.
Key points:
- Self-mastery: This is a time for learning about your own self-control and personal power. It’s also a time for learning about healthy attachments.
- Reshuffling resources: You are straightening out your finances, particularly related to other sources of money or resources (debts, shared, etc.).
- Recognizing what you need from others. This is a time to take a mature look at what you need from others and find healthy ways to interact, merge, depend, and attach.
During this trend, a sobering reality about a relationship or finances can figure strongly, and it’s empowering to know exactly where you stand. The need to make a commitment to your future arises. A loan or mortgage could come through, but whatever does emerge now comes with increased responsibility. Read your Virgo daily horoscope or Virgo monthly horoscope for current trends.
Libra
Saturn in Aries puts Saturn opposite your sign for over two years, dear Libra, initiating a period of evaluating your relationships. Challenges can sometimes come from a partner or significant other in your life during this cycle.
The good news is that you’re working toward a clearer, stronger understanding of your close relationships and relationship needs. It’s a powerful period for getting these things in order! Partnerships can demand more time and energy or a more serious approach during this process.
Saturn transits this area of your chart–your (solar) seventh house–from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028. Significant relationships with others are in focus, and so is the mirror of your own personality provided through your relationships.
Saturn motivates us to do “spring cleaning” in the areas of life this realistic planet touches, and one-to-one relationships must be considered and understood during this transit. Relationship tests are likely. Saturn looks for weak links and exposes them – they become obvious, glaringly so. You may let go of a connection built on weak foundations or work on strengthening it.
During this period, which lasts approximately two and a half years in total, relationships and your relationship needs can evolve. At times, you experience the less flattering side of relationships, a partner, and even yourself. While sometimes discouraging, you certainly learn much about yourself and your needs from a partnership. How you are as a partner is in focus as well.
The best use of this period is to work on your side of the partnership equation, if applicable, and take the necessary steps to improve areas of weakness.
Also, it may be helpful to face complex emotions in your relationships without glossing them over or dismissing them as “not part of you.” Projection is a funny thing, and with Saturn here, you’ll see it happening, and it’s time to work on it! Someone may seem to bring heavy energy into your life, but your needs might also be transforming. It’s a powerful period for commitments and partnering since you’ll get a strong sense of who and what is best for you.
Saturn tends to insist on a “back to basics” approach. The (solar) seventh house governs close personal relationships, such as marriages and other committed partnerships, long-term associations, open enemies, negotiations, agreements, and contracts. There may be tests in these areas of life as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. However, those that are suitable and worthwhile can face challenges that strengthen them.
You’ll feel this influence most profoundly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Libra. In 2025, those born September 23-25 and with a Libra Ascendant of 0-2 degrees are most directly affected. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Libra. In 2027, it’s Libra from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Libra receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
If you’re in a committed partnership, there can be some stresses and stresses on your bond during this cycle. A partner might feel like a “heavy” in your life–perhaps even a dark cloud hanging over you at times–and any feelings of restriction you feel or have felt in this area of life may seem magnified in your mind now.
A partner might also seem cautious, distant, critical, or defensive–Saturnine. This happens when a person or situation in your life takes on the role of Saturn. You need to open your mind to the possibility that a partner is providing you with important life lessons — about traditions, simplifying your life, and responsibilities. Do not automatically discard what they have to say. Take your time on this one. If, however, a partner is challenging you to the point of breaking, then steps need to be taken to improve the situation.
For those not in committed relationships, you’re unlikely to enter a new long-term partnership or commitment rashly. You might begin one, but will do so quite cautiously and carefully. Some of you might be attracted to older or more mature and established people as partnership “material.” This can be a make-or-break period. If you decide to make a commitment to someone, it’s likely to be a long and/or significant one.
Single Libras may solidify their position about partnering, making big choices, and opting to do what’s best for them in this department. Other singles may feel some angst or pressure. This lack in your life might suddenly seem magnified, like a gaping hole. You might lose hope, temporarily, that you’ll find a robust and committed partnership. Feelings of loneliness may run deep, but the universe is sending you a message through this experience, regardless. It is awakening you to a need. In time, you will find ways to satisfy this need. Patience is usually necessary during Saturn’s transits.
It’s a time for being truthful to yourself about what you want from people and from love–no frills, bells, or whistles. You are awakening to the reality of partnership, and it may come as a bit of a bump at first if you’ve held onto false images, but loving someone for who they are rather than what you want/imagine them to be can be rewarding and beautiful. Loving yourself is part of this, and this love can grow stronger by recognizing what you do and don’t need from others.
Some of you could be committing this year. A relationship can encounter some tests or complications, but if it’s strong, it will weather the storm, and you could take it to another level. If not, remember that relationships lost during a Saturn transit to your partnership sector, if at all, may have needed to end. Saturn is asking you to be mature regarding relationships and commitments, and it can mean many different things to different people.
Others may be restricting you, or at least that’s how you might perceive things, and you may not be at your best regarding overall energy during this cycle. Some areas of your life may break down before they get better. There can also be bone and teeth problems — something that often happens with challenging Saturn transits.
Tidy and organize your life as much as possible to minimize or prepare for the challenges. Seek ways to balance your life in terms of pleasures and responsibilities. Don’t turn your back on commitments and traditions entirely, and aim to learn and grow as much as possible from your experiences. The benefits of this transit are great, even if they sometimes feel slow to make themselves known!
This cycle helps you define, understand, and crystallize your significant relationships with others. If you already have a partner, this is a time when any problems surrounding compromise, flexibility, and the ability to give your heart to your partner will surface. Initial frustration can take the form of feeling criticized and “examined” in this area of life. However, by the end of the transit, you will have learned much about commitment and compromise.
The level of satisfaction you derive from your relationship, the quality of the relationship itself, and how you view your partner are all under the microscope now! Disillusionment is possible as you begin seeing your relationship without rose-colored glasses. While it’s tempting to say you now see your relationship for what it is, do remember that flaws are very much in focus. Your perspective may be skewed more toward the negative before reaching a more balanced and realistic view. You may need to go in one extreme direction before reaching a middle ground.
The initial pressures of Saturn transiting the seventh house can stir a feeling of loneliness in some. You might feel a void in your life and ache for a true equal in a partner. Circumstances are such that you now face and examine your need for partnership. If involved in a casual love relationship, when Saturn transits the seventh, you might feel an urge (or pressure) to make a commitment or a redefinition of your bond.
Healthy partnerships can be the outcome, whether they’re new ones or strengthened existing partnerships. Saturn always brings a fair measure of reality and objectivity so that existing relationships may be defined and re-defined. You see your relationships in a harsh light, perhaps a little too much so at times. Still, partners/lovers/friends are no longer “fun and games” or only mirrors of your ego. Responsibilities to partners, the need to compromise, and the realities of the needs of others, become apparent. You see people as separate individuals and are challenged to improve how you relate to and with others. Some of you will leave partnerships behind, and others will commit. Those of you who are not interested in partnering may solidify this stance.
Depending on your age and life circumstances, “significant partnerships” can mean partnerships with loved ones, business partnerships, and even deep friendships. They’re important pairings in your life. You’re less concerned with quantity (in the relationship department) than quality, and this process involves time, soul-searching, frustration, and, ideally, eventual fulfillment.
This cycle is also about agreements, negotiations, drawing boundaries, and being transparent with yourself and others. Ambiguity is less tolerable in your life, particularly with others. In the process, you might see more in a person or situation than you did previously–and less in other people or situations that you once thought were “all that.” This new perception can lead to significant changes in your life.
Saturn’s opposition to your sign does put some pressure on you. It’s useful for better understanding your relationships and partnering needs. Along the way, you may face tests on a relationship’s strength. This transit can also stir a stronger desire for long-term, real connections, or it may bring a more mature or serious partner into your life. You are more selective when it comes to your close associations.
Indeed, problem areas in a relationship may magnify or illuminate in the beginning stages of this transit, and while flaws can appear bigger than they objectively are, eventually you’re likely to get to the point of increased clarity. Decisions are easier when you can see people and things for both their strengths and weaknesses, so aim for this sweet spot. Once beyond the exaggerated stage of realizations, you’ll be in an excellent position to reassess your needs from your relationships.
During Saturn’s transit of your opposite sign, you may find relationships or life’s situations a little more demanding than usual, and it makes sense to take better care of your health, particularly seeing to getting regular sleep and proper nutrition. Aim to watch for signs of depletion and take steps to fortify yourself.
You might also find less time for socializing during this cycle, perhaps due to relationship stresses but also because you are more serious than usual about your interpersonal relationships and have difficulty swallowing superficiality.
As this transit progresses, you are likely to discover your true needs from partnerships and what you can realistically give to a partner.
At some point while Saturn moves through the sign of Aries, Saturn officially opposes your Sun (or Ascendant). Saturn transits usually last about nine months, but sometimes you get a quicker pass. When this transit occurs, you might encounter opposition or resistance to your personal plans and goals, which forces you to re-evaluate your current projects or commitments. Some of these need to be left behind. A maturation process is now in progress, and although this might not be immediately clear, the changes you make now will make your life simpler, easier, and healthier later on.
During this cycle, be sure to identify and “own” the role you play in your relationships.
Key points:
- Learning precisely what you want and need from others: This is a time for being truthful to yourself and others about what you need from partnership.
- Mature relationship choices: You are seeking a more authentic, supportive relationship or choosing to go it alone.
- Meeting others halfway: Boundaries and clarity in your connections and agreements become very important to you.
The benefits of this transit are great, even if they sometimes feel slow to make themselves known!
The last time this theme occurred was from April 1996 to June 1998 and October 1998 to February 1999.
With the ruler of your home, family, and heart sector in your partnership sector now, you could be looking for more security in a partnership during this period, or you could be the rock for a partner or significant someone.
There can be times when restrictions in these areas can clash with other life departments and goals, mainly your desire to push ahead with your career, life path goals, or reputation. For example, a partner could be annoyed with the attention you’re giving your status or work. Instead, your relationship goals and work goals seem to be at cross-purposes. You could experience some fear of disapproval or lack of support.
But while there are valuable life lessons and perhaps challenges in a close partnership, you’ll find ways to balance things in other life departments. As well, you can establish strong connections with others through shared ideas, beliefs, hobbies, pleasures, or adventures.

Scorpio
Saturn is now transiting your (solar) sixth house, dear Scorpio, where it will stay from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
With this transit, you’re beginning to recognize the value of leading a more scheduled, organized life. Orderliness will be empowering during the Saturn-in-Aries transit for you, and paying closer attention to deadlines, details, and rules can help tidy up your mind and emotions so that you feel freer to enjoy yourself when pleasure calls.
You could also be working on perfecting and refining skills that are useful on the job. In fact, there can be much focus on detail work. Your day job, routines, or pursuit of wellness have sometimes been up in the air or chaotic, but now, you’re more inclined to lock things down, get organized, and establish healthier routines.
You’ll straighten out your daily affairs, work, routines, health, habits, and self-care programs during this cycle. You’re likely to recognize the problem areas that have held you back in these areas, and you can feel some pressure to bring things into order.
It’s an excellent time for starting new regimens to better your health and well-being, such as regular exercise or more structured and productive use of your time.
Ultimately, you’ll feel better about your duties, work, or services after realistically assessing matters and making the necessary adjustments. Don’t worry too much if your efforts are not yet visible or recognized since the effort you put in now can bring great rewards down the road. Keep in mind that Saturn transits often have delayed results and/or rewards! As well, the sixth house, where Saturn is currently transiting in your solar or natal chart, rules the details of your life–it’s not a glamorous area, but it’s a vital and important part of your chart. Here, recognition isn’t the goal.
The areas of your life that require a “back to basics” approach are work, health, daily routines, employees, pets, and habits. There may be tests of sorts in these areas of life, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. What was built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. Those that are suitable and worthy will endure and strengthen.
You’ll feel this transit most strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Scorpio. In 2025, those born from from approximately October 22nd to 24th and with a Scorpio Ascendant of 0-2 degrees are most directly affected. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Scorpio. In 2027, it’s Scorpio from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Scorpio receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
Tests can come to work and working relationships during this cycle. Responsibilities in your daily life can weigh heavily — they magnify. Saturn is checking that you’re attending to your duties and not letting them pile up. Some of you might even experience the loss of a job, but far more likely, it’s about paring down and focusing on what truly matters.
For those of you unhappy with your job or out of work, you are not likely to jump to grab just any position that comes along now. You seek something mature, long-term, and reflective of your values. However, because you are more discriminating now, the pickings might seem slim.
The monotonous part of your work can seem harder to take, and it’s up to you to work on restructuring enough to make it work for you. Try not to see flaws, complain, and leave it at that. Take it upon yourself to make the necessary adjustments to improve your working conditions with those things within your control. Saturn asks you to adjust and put in the effort. The rewards may be slow to transpire, but they’re great when they do come!
These themes can be true of daily routines, not just working conditions. Health matters might be a little more problematic than usual. Even so, these are likely minor problems that can be fixed with extra attention. Essentially, this transit gives you a kick in the pants to get your self-care programs into good shape!
While the work we do may sometimes feel too routine or boring, it can also give us a strong feeling of purpose. We want to be needed, to help and support others, and to do our share. If you’ve been overdoing a supportive role, or if you’ve been scattering your energies and haven’t truly noted just how much you do, then Saturn here will stimulate you to tidy up. In the end, you can, in fact, feel more joyful about the services you provide and the support you give after taking a realistic look at these things and making the necessary adjustments.
Seek ways to balance your activities and responsibilities. This is also an excellent time for simplifying and structuring your life. With Neptune in this sector sometimes confusing these life departments concurrently, you may well welcome the structuring energy of this transit on your daily routines. However, you may initially feel quite bothered and protective of your particular way of doing your work and daily affairs. Habits are hard to break!
Saturn encourages you to build some boundaries, restrict, or discipline yourself. During this useful cycle, you’re challenged to straighten out your daily affairs, work, routines, health, habits, and self-care programs. Aim to make changes in these areas of life slowly, responsibly, and conservatively — Saturn-style! The goal is to make improvements that last years, if not a lifetime. Aim to work hard and do what you can, without pushing yourself too hard. While it’s true this planet does reward effort, Saturn wants you to work smarter, not necessarily harder. It’s a time to adopt a no-nonsense approach to work and health.
While Saturn transited Pisces previous to this transit, your romantic relationships or relationships with your children may have been put to the test. You’ve made significant changes to these relationships, left behind a romance, or strengthened your stance on how you derive pleasure from your life. You’ve settled in. This happened because Saturn was moving through your solar fifth house.
Now Saturn turns its critical eye to matters of the sixth house, and you are likely to feel a certain pressure to get things in order.
At the beginning of the transit, you might be more accountable than ever when it comes to your work. You may initially feel bogged down by what seems like undue pressure in your routines or everyday life. However, Saturn brings pressure that is never truly undue. Things we may have previously neglected or disregarded need to be faced, managed, and handled responsibly–the idea is that it’s for our own good.
How can you make the best use of your time? How can you manage your day-to-day life and your physical body more effectively? These are questions that demand answers now. With Saturn’s influence, you’re acutely aware of all of the “fluff” surrounding your daily routines and work. Spring cleaning is now in order!
It’s an excellent time for starting new regimens to improve your health and well-being, such as regular exercise, more structured and productive use of your time, etc. Organizing your workspace is appropriate, and so is reorganizing your daily schedule. In fact, there can be life events that necessitate restructuring these things, or at least provide you with the motivation to get your act together.
Saturn moving through your health sector might concern you. However, typically if health concerns manifest during this transit, they are manageable with some reorganization and structure. They signal the need for change in diet, routines, and habits. You might also enjoy increased motivation and determination to kick bad habits and routines.
Key points:
- Bringing more order and efficiency to your work, chores, or routines: This is a time for identifying areas of waste in your daily affairs and working on creating better systems.
- Upgrading your habits: Your habits say much about you and your life, and now is the time to work on better habits that support you in all areas of life.
- Health: Taking better care of your health reflects on you in all life departments.
- Putting in the “detail work”: Current life demands seem to need you to put in the extra effort and work on details that pave the road for future successes.
The last time Saturn moved through this area of your solar chart was from 1996 to early 1999.
This transit is not typically considered a problematic Saturn transit, and you could welcome the focus on adding structure to your life, but you may be doing more work or chores than usual. This is why stress management can be valuable.
Nevertheless, Saturn is not the most comfortable guest here, as it’s in an awkward angle to your sign. When you recognize that Saturn is working for you instead of against you, however, you’ll begin to accept this energy. It will take some time to get to this point, but it will come.
You’re making plans, and this can be a strong time for sensible fitness and health programs and quitting bad habits.
Sagittarius
With Saturn’s move into your (solar) fifth house, love relationships are neither easygoing nor straightforward, dear Sagittarius. There can be times when you crave more traditional, even old-fashioned, romance. It’s a vital time for putting more organized effort into your hobbies, love relationships, or creative and leisure activities. Fortunately, it’s a stabilizing influence.
Saturn transits this area of your chart from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028. This planet that favors “quality over quantity” applies to your romantic life, creative expression, and how/what you seek regarding entertainment and recreation. You tend to take things a little more seriously, for better or for worse, which means you can focus on one or two things and do them well.
With Saturn moving in harmony with your sign, this can be a stable and responsible period of your life overall.
It can be a good time for meaningful relationships as well as creative productivity. You might turn a hobby or pastime into a business or find practical ways to enjoy yourself.
With Saturn, the realist, moving through the house of creative power in your chart, you might initially feel limited by a seeming lack of internal “spark.” As the transit progresses, you should gain a stronger sense of what motivates you and how to best express yourself creatively in more effective and perhaps practical ways. How you entertain yourself, how you have fun, and issues surrounding how you manage your ego are now coming up for “inspection.” By the end of the transit, ideally, you will have a stronger sense of purpose, and your ego will have had a bit of a reworking.
What makes you unique? How do you handle pride? What are your creative talents? Have you worked hard enough to feel good about “playing hard”? These are issues you’re likely to face during the course of this transit. By the time Saturn enters the sixth house in 2028, you should have a solid sense of what makes you different from others and a realistic and concrete belief in your creative talents.
Many people go through a period of re-evaluation of their talents with this transit–how they may have wasted or overlooked them to date, and how they can express themselves in a more practical, useful manner. Some of you might be working more diligently and regularly on your creative pursuits.
The fifth house, where Saturn is now transiting in your solar chart, is also associated with love and attention received from others, as well as romantic relationships or our more casual love affairs. Psychological issues you may face during this time include how “deserving” you are of special attention from others.
Initially, you may feel unloved or question your lovability; perhaps you feel neglected or ignored. As you absorb the lessons of this transit, you learn to love yourself and take pride in yourself in realistic, honest, and genuine ways. Looking outside of yourself for “ego strokes” (whether through romance or other such “applause”) may prove to be fruitless. Through this transit, you will learn to depend on yourself and take pride in yourself for what you really are, not only how others see you. You will be less dependent on others for applause and ego stroking — this is one of the many helpful lessons of Saturn’s transit of this area of your chart.
Romantic relationships might face tests or obstacles during this time. You might feel overwhelming pressure from your casual love affairs, for example, or the flaws in an existing romance seem to be screaming out at you. For some of you, a romance might end. If it does, it’s likely because it truly didn’t fulfill you and, essentially, had to go. For others, a romantic relationship strengthens after undergoing some tests and adjustments. What you want from a romance and what you are realistically capable of giving back to a romantic relationship will be clear towards the end of this transit. Saturn has a “make or break” energy to it. Still others can face some disappointment with their current circumstances regarding love and romance.
The fifth house also rules your children, and more specifically, one’s first child. Some of you might welcome a first child and deal with the time constraints and increased responsibilities associated with this new set-up. Others might encounter difficulties with discipline or increased demands from children. The need for more discipline and organization when it comes to managing children may be in order now. If appropriate, commitment or re-commitment to time spent with and for children can be a theme.
For those of you who are single and looking, there can be some reluctance to enter into light-hearted romantic relationships. If you do, you do so cautiously, and you are attracted to more mature or stable people during this cycle. Because you are more discriminating now, the pickings might be (or appear to be) slim. Be careful not to project a negative attitude without realizing it, as this can intimidate some.
Those of you who are dating might feel some loneliness, as it can be hard to find what you are looking for at this time. Sagittarians who are in committed partnerships could find the romantic or fun element of the relationship becomes a strong area of focus during this cycle, for better or for worse. Keeping this aspect of your partnership alive requires work. You might sometimes feel restricted in making acquaintances and enjoying other people’s company.
Keep in mind that Saturn imparts slow lessons, but they’re meant to last–they stick with you.
You can feel a strong desire–or circumstances create a need–for more structure in any of these areas of life, including children, romance, creativity, leisure, entertainment, and recreation.
Fortunately, it can be a truly wonderful time for feeling balanced and steady. Firming up areas of your life that have become wasteful can benefit you in many ways. This can be a good time for realizing a dream or goal, particularly along creative lines.
At some point during Saturn’s stay in Aries, Saturn will form a trine to your Sun (or Ascendant). This aspect also occurs for fellow Fire sign, Leo. During this trine which can last a month or closer to a year, depending on when it occurs vis-a-vis Saturn’s retrograde, you feel more comfortable with who you are. Because you have a more mature grasp of your capabilities, you project a more responsible, perhaps serious, and self-assured personality to others. You may be more open to receiving grounded, practical advice and benefit from humbly learning from others. Your life seems more stable during this period, likely because you can look at yourself realistically and reasonably and are less vulnerable to self-delusion.
One of the significant sources of stress and guilt in our lives stems from uncertainty. Unnecessary stress comes from overestimating our capabilities or standards and inevitably failing to meet them. Things nag at the back of our minds. Saturn offers us realism, and with his trine to your Sun, you see yourself and your capabilities more clearly and realistically. This transit tends to reduce uncertainty and offers a welcome reprieve from guilt and fear. At this time in your life, you know what your responsibilities are–and you meet them.
You’ll feel this transit most strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Sagittarius. In 2025, those Sagittarians born from approximately November 21st to 23rd and with a Sagittarius Ascendant of 0-2 degrees, are most directly affected. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Sagittarius. In 2027, it’s Sagittarius from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Sagittarius receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
Relationships may undergo some testing, but for some, this is when a relationship stabilizes and it feels great.
Key points:
- Bringing more order and efficiency to your creative, romantic, or play time: This is a time for identifying areas of waste in your life and making better use of your time invested in seeking your joy.
- Learning to feel good about taking the time for pleasure: You are learning to recognize when you’ve earned your pleasure and leisure time, and it’s empowering.
- Love and affection: Taking better care of your love life at this time can mean recognizing your worth and value to others. If you’ve been too lenient with others at your own expense, now is the time to balance things out. You’ll find yourself more attracted to people who are mature and who treat you fairly and respectfully.
Creatively speaking, you are a little more serious in your approach. You might get serious about a hobby, or you might discover there’s less time for creative pursuits, pastimes, amusements, and entertainment. Some of you could be working hard on–and putting a lot of effort into–creative hobbies or pastimes.
You could be putting more money or resources into your leisure life, hobbies, entertainment, or pastimes. Romance and money can tie together in some significant way.
Structuring your creative efforts, hobbies, or romantic pursuits can boost a connection. You might discover very constructive channels for your creativity. A fun relationship could move to a new level. You have increased common sense at your disposal.
In truth, Saturn in this position is supporting your Sagittarius Sun or Ascendant as it occupies a sister Fire sign. The last time a similar theme occurred was April 1996 to June 1998 and October 1998 to February 1999.
Circumstances can sometimes challenge your need to simplify and structure your life. Attention to your intimate world can seem to clash with this mission, for example. A minor setback, obstacle, or stubbornness can pause your plans. However, with some slight adjustments, you’ll be back on track quickly.
Otherwise, enjoying more self-discipline reflects well on you as you feel stronger, more fulfilled, and increasingly more “whole.” In truth, you seem to be at your happiest when you’re feeling better organized and disciplined.
Those of you who have been deliberating over a relationship matter might be inclined to seal the deal, close a deal, or to make a commitment. A child can receive an award or there can be an event or conversation that strengthens your bond. This might also be a time for seeing someone in a more realistic light, and this may be a child, a lover, or a friend. If you allow yourself to be realistic about what a person can or cannot do, feels or does not feel, then you can ultimately put more faith and trust in that person. Loyalty and reliability are qualities that are most important to express at this time.
Capricorn
This Saturn theme is about bringing more structure and order to your home life, dear Capricorn. Domestic duties and obligations to your family may seem to increase with Saturn’s transit of the sector of your solar chart that governs home, family, and support systems. Saturn transits this area of your solar chart from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
Home, family, personal, and nurturing or sustenance matters are areas that require increased discipline, realism, tradition, or structure.
While it’s important to give your family and home life the attention they need, putting too much into these things can be taxing. It’s best to strive for some balance, but it’s also essential to reorganize your personal and domestic worlds.
It can also be a critical time for brand-new career or long-term business beginnings. You may be laying the groundwork and building a long-lasting project to boost your security that will ultimately have much significance in your life.
Saturn’s transit through Aries is bound to be a significant cycle for you. It marks a time of considerable inner “re-working.” In terms of outward signs of achievement, this transit may be one of the more unremarkable Saturn transits. However, toward the end of the transit, you’re likely to recognize this stage as a critical one during which you made some life-changing personal and psychological advances and developments.
During this cycle, you are working on solidifying your identity–exploring your roots (where you came from)–so that when Saturn begins its transit through your solar fifth house years down the road (in 2028), you will be ready to differentiate yourself from others and embark on some important work on your ego. For now, however, you face issues surrounding your attachments to the past and your base of operations, home, and family.
Sometimes this manifests as a literal reorganization of your home. If moves are made, you might encounter some resistance in yourself to make that change. The desire may be to strengthen, build, or rebuild now. Saturn loves to fix what’s worthwhile, favoring that process over starting anew.
You may not feel particularly brave in the outer world during this cycle. However, restructuring in your home, and more importantly, in your soul, embodies the true nature of this transit. It can be a time of a major “spring cleaning” on an emotional plane. Limitations that came from early family conditioning are easier to spot.
Responsibilities to family and maintaining your home might increase, or you become more aware of them and how they affect your life. It’s possible that you now view these responsibilities as obligations or as burdensome, or you simply feel their weight more than you did before.
A feeling of being alone and unsupported in life may dominate the early stages of this transit. There may be some delays and slowdowns with health, mobility, or career. As Saturn progresses, however, a feeling of mastery will empower you.
The goal should be to build your sense of family, security, and comfort, and it’s a truly fabulous time to do so. It’s the time to fix whatever you’ve let slide in the past. You’ll have built a stronger foundation by the end of this transit. You’ll see yourself and your family more clearly, and your expectations will be more realistic.
At some point during Saturn’s movement through Aries, Saturn will be transiting square your Sun (or Ascendant). This square also happens for Caner. The timing of this transit depends on the degree of your Sun or Ascendant, and it lasts either about one month or closer to a year, depending on whether Saturn retrogrades over that degree. During this time, you may experience some form of disillusionment surrounding an important person in your life, an authority figure, or plans that meet resistance. You may feel left out, blocked from advancing in your chosen life path, and lacking in energy and confidence in spots. Ego boosts don’t seem to be forthcoming, or if they are, you don’t see them in such a light. Some sort of buckling down is necessary, and you might perceive limitations as coming from the outside or unlucky circumstances.
Physically, this may be a relatively low period when you don’t have that extra “oomph” or drive to accomplish more than what is already on your plate. You might be looking at your physical body more realistically, although you might focus too heavily on the flaws. You might also be questioning your worth, again finding many faults you may have previously glossed over. Instead of lamenting how you’ve lived your life to date, it’s time to work on making improvements. Improvements will not come overnight, but a slow and steady approach will bring rewards later. A general feeling of “slowdown” is likely, and if regular tasks seem more overwhelming than usual, it can be due to poor spirits and lack of motivation.
Sometimes, this transit is associated with problems with the teeth, bones in general, and the skin. It is also associated with mechanical breakdowns in your life. However, these are often overdue problems, and Saturn calls upon you to identify the weaker areas of your life and fix or strengthen them.
Particularly for Capricorn Ascendants, this can be an important time for new career beginnings. You may be laying the groundwork and building a long-term project that eventually has much significance in your life. Think of this time as a period ideal for making repairs and renovations.
With Saturn transiting your (solar) fourth house, the areas of your life that require a “back to basics” approach are your personal life, home, family, your roots, domestic activities, living conditions, and security. It can feel as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong with these life departments. Those things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. On the other hand, those that are suitable will endure and strengthen.
You’ll feel this transit most strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Capricorn. In 2025, it impacts mainly those Capricorns born from approximately December 21-23 and people with a Capricorn Ascendant of 0-2 degrees. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Capricorn. In 2027, it’s Capricorn from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Capricorn receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
You are becoming especially security-minded, and you have a more vital need to live a more organized life. Some of you may be a little more private about your home life during this cycle. It’s a good time to be more frugal due to your increased desire to feel secure and safe. You have or feel more responsibility to your home and family now. There can be some restrictions in your living conditions or arrangements, or circumstances that tie you to your home or a particular place.
The responsibilities and demands of domestic life can run high at times during this transit. Your house, parents, and yourself may seem more noticeably older or in need of extra care and attention, which can be the special work you do now. There can sometimes be a feeling that others are not as sympathetic to you or that they leave you to your own defenses during this period.
Key points:
- Bringing more order and efficiency to your domestic world: This is a time for identifying areas of waste, disrepair, or dysfunction in your home or personal life, and making the necessary changes, adjustments, and improvements to get things back into working order. Think: renovations and repairs.
- Feeling more responsible and centered: You are learning to recognize and own your need for nurture, safety, and downtime, and you’re making more time for these things. You see that it’s your own responsibility to build up your “nest” and take care of it and yourself.
- Recognizing past conditioning and emotional behaviors that haven’t served you well: It’s time to see where you’ve been responding automatically to your own detriment and developing a plan to improve your emotional responses.
Your mission during this Saturn transit is to get your home and personal life into order so that you can move forward feeling rooted and secure. The very beginnings of a special long-term project/business can emerge. The last time Saturn transited here was from 1996 to early 1999.
It’s also a period for learning more mature emotional responses–ones that will serve you well rather than blow up your life. While there is great value in emotional honesty, knee-jerk responses aren’t always desirable.
You’ll find that the major key to happiness is moderation! Slow and steady wins the race. You are in an excellent position to strengthen your future by taking care of the present. Building more structure and organization in your domestic world benefits you in other areas–most notably, your work, chores, duties, and health.
Family members or responsibilities to the home can feel burdensome or restricting at times, particularly in comparison to your one-on-one relationships. Your instincts may signal that you need to slow down and adjust.
This can be a good time for working from (or on) the home or committing to a home or family project. The ability to see things more realistically feels right, and also empowering! Meeting your responsibilities is important now. Work done now can be especially fruitful down the road. A responsibility to family might surface that needs attention.
Aquarius
Your interests are evolving, and you may become quite serious about certain topics and studies with Saturn’s transit of Aries and your communications sector, dear Aquarius.
Saturn’s move out of your finance sector takes some of the pressure and restriction off money matters. Your relationship with your money and things has evolved. Now, you’re not worrying as much about your income. You’re also less inhibited about expressing your natural talents.
With Saturn now in your communications sector, it’s a powerful time to simplify and streamline your daily affairs, connections, communications, studies, and transportation.
This transit is with you from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
You might recognize a strong need for deeper conversations, and some impatience with more superficial connections and topics, which can now seem quite distracting.
There can be times when you feel overwhelmed by your day-to-day dealings and disruptions or feel some pressure to produce ideas and make them work. However, you’re finding your voice, fine-tuning your communications, and benefiting from structured learning. This can be a period of serious study or training and detailed work. Much can be accomplished!
With this Saturn transit, the areas of your life that now require a “back to basics” approach are associated with the sector of your solar chart that governs communications, learning, and local transportation. There may be tests of sorts in these areas of life, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. However, those that are suitable and worth your time should endure and strengthen.
You’ll feel this transit most strongly earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Aquarius. In 2025, those Aquarians born from approximately January 19-21 and with an Aquarius Ascendant of 0-2 degrees, are most directly affected. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Aquarius. In 2027, it’s Aquarius from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Aquarius receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
During its transit of your (solar) third house, Saturn is overseeing and inspecting how you network with people around you and how you gain and disseminate information. It can be a time of pressure that centers around your skill set, mental output, and communication. You may feel pressure to produce ideas and make them work, but this can lead to much more efficient time management.
A certain somberness in your outlook may distinguish this phase, and there can be times when you worry more than usual. It may seem that circumstances or people are blocking your growth in some manner, and these relationships may be strained as a result. Because the third house rules siblings, neighbors, and classmates, for example, these relationships can be most affected.
Although you may have the desire to make contacts, you are now rather preoccupied with learning or increased errands and daily “busy-ness,” and you may view idle chit-chat as a waste of precious time or, simply, a lesser priority. Others might find you a tad distant or less available. Some shyness or stiffness is possible in your daily interactions. You can feel rusty or unnatural.
You may feel unusual pressure to structure your time and efforts and cut out unnecessary communication. You may sometimes feel rather overwhelmed by errands, red tape, paperwork, and other day-to-day “disruptions” or interference.
As Saturn moves closer to your fourth house (it will move into the whole house fourth in 2028), there may be some vague feeling of urgency and worry, as if you sense some things in your life are closing, and they may very well be. By the end of the transit, however, you will have gained a greater depth of understanding, having focused on information and communication that you can use to feel more effective in the world.
There are lovely positives to this transit that ultimately outweigh the downsides. You might strengthen your knowledge or get a stronger understanding of facts. It’s a good time for organized learning in the form of taking courses and finding reliable and useful ways to improve your skills. Lack of skills or proper training may be something you’re focusing on during this transit with an eye to filling the gaps and strengthening your position. You can be an authority in the work that you do or in your communications.
You might also recognize where you’ve not been as effective in your communications in the past, and it’s a good idea to find new ways to improve your communication skills. If you are involved in courses or other training programs, you might feel the dissatisfaction now, and you might desire more depth or stimulation.
There can be issues with mobility and transportation during this transit, and mechanical breakdowns can present challenges. Again, Saturn exposes areas of weakness but also provides you with the tools to strengthen them.
It can be a time of increasing practicality and esteem. You are more reliable than usual, and you procrastinate less. Teaching can be in strong focus. There can be a greater love of the less glamorous aspects of your work, studies, and projects, and you are capable of tremendous effort to further your goals. This preference helps you tremendously now.
At some point during Saturn’s stay in the sign of Aries, he forms a harmonious sextile to your Sun (or Ascendant). This transit depends on the specific degree of your Sun or Ascendant, and it can last one month or up to a year, depending on whether Saturn retrogrades over this degree.
This sextile aspect happens for you, Aquarius, as well as Gemini. You see yourself realistically and reasonably, and you are less vulnerable to self-delusion, which ultimately strengthens your confidence.
One of the significant sources of stress and guilt in our lives stems from uncertainty. In truth, tremendous pressure can come from overestimating our capabilities and responsibilities and inevitably failing to meet them. Things nag at the back of our minds. However, Saturn offers us realism. You know your duties at this time in your life, and you meet them!
At times during this transit, challenges can come to your communications. You may be more guarded and particular with your self-expression, taking things quite seriously and somewhat fearful of making mistakes. You may feel pressure to produce ideas and to make them work in the “real world.”
There is a great need now to structure your life by way of schedules, managing daily details and your time more effectively. There can be some problems with local transportation — getting from point A to point B. Communications can be delayed or lost, perhaps impeding certain projects. Disputes with relatives or neighbors are possible when Saturn is challenged in this area of your (solar) chart. Publications or announcements may not be received as well as they would at other times. There can be some restlessness or an urge to get out and about, but you might feel weighed down by your daily responsibilities.
Recognizing the power of your mindset, thoughts, and communications amounts to major revelations during this cycle. Your thoughts and expectations tremendously impact your life, and making these things work for you rather than against you is a prominent feature of this Saturn transit.
As well, your style of communication can help or hinder you, and Saturn’s transit enables you to see where you’ve limited yourself in the past because you’ve been communicating too little, too much, or too ineffectively. It’s also a time to recognize where you haven’t been listening enough! Now is an excellent time for learning to use the power of your words, gestures, and interactions more effectively and mindfully.
The last time this influence occurred was from 1996 to early 1999 — it doesn’t happen often!
Key points:
- Bringing more order and efficiency to your daily life and communications: This is a time for identifying areas of waste, disrepair, or dysfunction in your studies, daily life, and communication and transportation systems. Once recognized, improvements and adjustments can be made to get things back into working order. More structure can be a major part of this.
- Acting/communicating more responsibly and reliably: You are learning the power of your words, gestures, communications, and interactions. Being more responsible and reliable with these things has a wonderful impact on your life.
- A more mindful approach to life: You are becoming more mindful of how, what, and when you communicate and reach out.
- Working on an idea or communications project: It’s a brilliant time to put effort into studies, writing, or a personal interest. Ideas can be bankable, but you must also put in some hard work and stay patient to reap the benefits.
You’re willing to take the bad with the good–expectations are reasonable, helping your life across the board, but especially with current projects, creative pursuits, and relationships.
It may behoove you to be more mindful of what you say or release. It’s important to tone things down if you’ve put too much on your plate. You may sometimes need to redo or retry rather than move plans forward. Pace yourself and try not to let delays or restrictions weigh you down, but if they do slow you down, this might ultimately help you get back on track.
You might receive news of an important learning endeavor, or circumstances may be such that you need to become more organized and efficient with your daily affairs. It’s a time when your outlook on life and the way you relate to the world is changing, stabilizing, and maturing.
Pisces
Saturn’s move into your solar second house marks a new stage of taking stock of your effectiveness, self-worth, and finances, dear Pisces. This period of your life is a practical one–it’s time for a more responsible and realistic approach to money and possessions. Belt-tightening is in order and very useful!
Getting organized and learning to accept and market your talents are themes in this next stage of your life. For the best results, look for overlapping or unnecessary expenses and other redundancies, and aim to eliminate material clutter during this cycle that runs from May 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025; and then later from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
The areas of your life that require a “back to basics” approach are associated with the sector of your solar chart that governs personal finances, income derived from your own efforts (this excludes shared finances and financial support through debts and rebates), personal possessions, self-esteem, personal talents, and personal values. There may be tests of sorts in these areas of life, as if the universe is checking that the foundations are strong. Things built on weak foundations may crack under the pressure of these tests. However, those that are suitable and worthwhile will endure and strengthen.
You’ll feel this transit more intensely earlier or later in the cycle, depending on whether you were born earlier or later in the sign of Pisces. In 2025, those Pisces born from approximately February 19th to 21st and with a Pisces Ascendant of 0-2 degrees are most directly affected. In 2026, this transit most impacts people with the Sun or Ascendant between 0 to 14 degrees of Pisces. In 2027, it’s Pisces from 8 to 27 degrees that is most impacted, while in 2028, it’s 21 to 30 degrees of Pisces receiving Saturn directly. Note that these degree spans overlap in many cases due to Saturn’s retrogrades that extend the length of its transit over certain degrees.
Saturn’s move into Aries also means Saturn is leaving your sign, which can certainly takes some pressure off your life. Saturn will not return to your sign for another 27 years! You are likely to feel freer in self-expression and more mature.
While a certain level of introspection marked the Saturn transit of your sign or Ascendant sign, Saturn’s movement into Aries and your solar second house marks a new stage of taking stock of your effectiveness, self-worth, and finances. Financial success may not be remarkable. However, it is generally steady, if slow.
This transit is sometimes associated with financial loss, but in truth, it can often be more about perception. You are reviewing how financially effective you have been to date and might find some dissatisfaction with your progress. Gains may be slow, but sudden reversals are not common with this transit. The purpose of this transit is for you to connect with your feelings of self-worth and what you produce in the real world/get back from the real world. It’s time to get your money situation sorted, and it’s powerful.
As with all Saturn transits, you might initially reach out and look for validation from the outside world and others, and find something lacking. The initial sense of feeling unsupported can be discouraging (many of us think along the lines of: “I work so hard, and what do I get for all this hard work?”), but as the transit progresses, you learn to look inside yourself with a newfound clarity and realism and ideally draw up considerable strength from within. You work on your effectiveness in the world and recognize what has prevented you from achieving the desired results.
Saturn is all about being responsible for ourselves, and it’s an empowering process. It’s about accountability and self-honesty. The challenge here is to capture the newly found and defined self-confidence you gained from the first house transit and apply it in the real world. You are worth something, and you deserve compensation for what you do. While you may not feel it right away, you are working towards a more responsible attitude toward making a living, feeling secure, and feeling worthy.
Use this transit to get yourself onto solid financial ground. Make budgets, examine how you spend money, and eliminate wasteful practices and attitudes. If you’ve been living too much on credit (borrowing from your future), Saturn will make it known in some way that these habits need to change. It’s time to be more conservative with your money and feel more accomplished in so doing.
This also applies to what you own–your belongings, valuables, and personal possessions. You might find creative ways of making do with less. It’s a good time to look for overlapping or unnecessary expenses.
You may be necessarily more cautious about entering into heavy financial commitments during this period and more conservative, in general, with spending. Worries can surface about your earning power, but as you progress, the ideal result will be a stronger sense of what you can earn, better spending and saving habits, and a more realistic budget. Cutting back on some luxuries may be in order, but you may discover that the security you gain is more important than the luxuries you’ve let go of.
This transit is also about the ways you are rewarded by others, not just through income, but through basic respect. You’re learning to require a reasonable level of respect from your relationships, not only with employers, clients, and co-workers but with people in your personal life as well.
This Saturn transit is good for acquiring quality, long-lasting items. Your eye is on the future, which is why you may save more money or invest in quality material things. Saturn rewards patience and common sense.
You are exceptionally security-minded at this time. Any innate organizational and budgeting traits you possess come out of hiding! Your natural talents can contribute more to your income than previously.
Key points:
- Material priorities: This is a time for identifying and focusing on your financial priorities.
- Getting organized: You’re now taking more responsibility for your finances, income, and things.
- Healthy entitlement: You recognize your own self-worth, and you feel more deserving of others’ respect, your earnings, and your right to make a living.
During this cycle, you might take a particular interest in collecting. Handling financial security issues seems most important for your general sense of optimism or confidence.
Your mission is to become more organized in your pursuit of security and stability. Efforts to improve spending and structure or organize your things can boost other areas of life, such as your relationship with private time or downtime and family or home life. Your moderate approach and reasonable expectations help you achieve what you set out to do.
The last time this transit occurred was some time ago – from April 1996 to June 1998 and October 1998 to February 1999.

What if you were born with natal Saturn in Aries?
If you were born with Saturn in Aries in your birth chart, at some point in the approximately two and a half years that Saturn transits Aries, you experience your Saturn Return. When this occurs depends on the particular degree of Aries where you find Saturn in your birth chart. For example, you may have Saturn at 20 degrees and 42 minutes of Aries. With 30 degrees in a sign, this is about two-thirds into the sign.
The Saturn Return occurs for everyone at approximately 28-30 years old, again at 56-60 years old, and again at approximately 86-88 years.
A Saturn Return is a time of feeling the weight of our responsibilities, but also for reviewing and questioning our progress, particularly in the material world. We might consider and question whether we’re on the right track with our goals, ambitions, careers, or life path. Once “repairs” are implemented, we might feel that we’re starting fresh. It’s an important time for laying down roots for this new Saturn cycle that lasts another 28-30 years. This is a turning point when we feel we’re maturing, not always of our own choosing.
Note that people born in approximately the same year as you will be going through their Saturn Return about the same time as you. There can be similar themes shared, but the full experience is different depending on Saturn’s position by house and aspect in an individual’s personal natal chart.
