The following short interpretations of aspects between the planets refer to aspects made in the sky at any given time and their possible effects on the population in general. They are best used for electional astrology purposes.

Important Note: The following interpretations are not applicable to natal aspects. In other words, if you have Sun trine Moon in your natal chart, the interpretation offered here does not apply.

Sun conjunct Moon. The New Moon is a time of new beginnings. It may not be obvious on the day of the transit. However, our needs are aligned with our wants at this time, and it’s an opportune time to make a few resolutions.

Sun sextile Moon. Increased clarity derived from a feeling that what we want and what we need are in harmony. We are more able to cooperate with others.

Sun square Moon. We become aware of a conflict between what we want and what we need. This can cause us to be provocative with others, or it can spur us into finding answers to problems.

Sun trine Moon. It’s easy to put our best face forward and to cooperate with others because we are not conflicted on the inside. What we do and what we feel are in harmony, and we benefit from this clarity.

Sun parallel Moon. Our wants and needs are aligned. We benefit from this increased focus, if not now, somewhere down the road.

Sun conjunct Mercury. We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!

Sun semi-square Venus. Inner discontent can spill over into our relationships, producing subtle tension. It’s best to get in touch with our needs and yearnings instead of overindulging or procastinating. Disagreements that may crop up now tend to be about differences in principles or matters of personal style.

Details and mundane affairs do not interest us as much as the big picture does. We are prone to exaggerating the facts due to enthusiasm. Red tape, re-doing tasks we thought we had finished, problems getting from point A to point B, delays in communication, negative thinking, hyper-sensitivity and criticism–these are all potentials now.
