The Moon continues its transit of detail-oriented Virgo until 6:20 AM EST, when it enters Libra. Before it leaves the practical sign, the Moon opposes Neptune, leaving us with questions and distracting us from our current mission.

With the Libra Moon, we’re gracious, accommodating, and willing to meet people halfway. With its trine to Pluto, we’re especially aware of our social skills and need for more effective communication. We’re determined and ready to make long-lasting changes. A sextile with the Sun promotes cooperation. The Moon aligns with the South Node this afternoon, and the inclination is to fall back on depending on others at the expense of our self-confidence. It’s crucial to remember our own strengths.

Mercury stations and turns retrograde today in the sign of Sagittarius, and it will continue its retrograde journey until December 15th. Some delays or information clogs are possible. During this cycle, our thinking turns inward as we review and reassess matters.

Mercury retrograde periods can be times of heightened inner awareness–times when meditation, journaling, reworking old plans, and reviewing past work are favored more than usual. Minor breaks in the mechanical aspects of communication and transportation can reconnect us to other, possibly more meaningful, means of connecting.

This retrograde cycle is strong for reviewing our beliefs, ideas, sense of adventure, spirit, publishing pursuits, and educational goals. We look at projects, items, situations, problems, and even people in new ways. There can be information clogs that push this new perspective–as we wait, we become more resourceful and creative!

The more difficult times are the periods of the shifts themselves (the days surrounding the stations — today and December 15th), after which we grow more and more accustomed to the motion.
