Full Moon
The Full MOON occurs on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at 10:12 PM EDT.
On Wednesday night, the Full Moon occurs, when the Sun in Aries forms an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.
The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise.
With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships. This Full Moon forms a square with Jupiter, lending an element of exaggeration or excess to our emotional discoveries.
The Full Moon Chart:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 21 minutes of Libra opposite the Sun at the same degree of Aries, affecting people with personal planets and points at 8 to 16 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.
The Full Moon chart with additional points:
NEXT WEEK: The next Moon phase will happen on Friday, April 10th, 2026, at 12:51 AM EDT, when the Last Quarter Moon will occur.

(Times are Eastern)
This week: The Sun is in Aries; Mercury is in Pisces; Venus is in Aries until March 30th, when it enters Taurus; Mars is in Pisces.
The Sun is in Aries from March 20-April 19. In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive and have the urge to initiate, innovate, and come first.
Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little in the way of shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.
Mercury is in Pisces from February 6-April 14. When Mercury is in Pisces, our thinking processes are more visual, intuitive, and imaginative. We are especially attuned to the world of emotion, which colors both our thoughts and our communication style.
We guess well, express ourselves with imagery, and make decisions intuitively. We are more attracted to consciousness-raising information.
It’s not always easy to verbalize our impressions during this cycle. We don’t enjoy pinning down, labeling, or strictly defining things. We recognize that life isn’t always logical, and we prefer not to think in black and white terms. We’re sensitive and impressionable, which means we can take in more than usual, and it can sometimes overwhelm us. Pisces needs periodic time alone or within to regenerate and detox.
Venus is in Aries from March 6-30. With Venus in Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past–it’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.
Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to the sign. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.
While Venus is in Aries, we gravitate to Aries-like activities, pleasures, pastimes, and objects of interest. Our tastes can veer toward action, new enterprise, conquests, courageous or daring acts, and so forth. We can be somewhat impulsive with our money or entertainment choices.
Our interests can be insistent and strong, but possibly short-lived. It’s not the best time for holding onto money. We might pour our resources too quickly into new ventures or projects but tire of these things just as rapidly.
Venus is in Taurus from March 30-April 24. In Taurus, Venus is naturally very sensual, content, and possessive. We seek security and value those things that are long-lasting. Our appetite for pleasure is strong.
The sign of Taurus values the here and now and the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance figure strongly during the Venus-in-Taurus cycle. Holding on to someone or something we love is our tendency under this influence.
The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own.
On the financial side, Venus in Taurus looks for high-quality, solid, practical, and long-lasting items. Holding on to our possessions is more likely now. With art, tastes, and pleasures, we prefer things that are earthy, natural, and grounded. We can be somewhat indulgent at this time. Uncertainty bothers us more than usual–we favor stability over excitement in love and pleasure.
Mars is in Pisces from March 2-April 9. During this cycle, we are less interested in pursuing traditional goals and more motivated to pursue spiritual or emotional drives. We dislike confrontation while Mars is in Pisces. Our output is variable rather than straightforward, and our energy is similarly up and down.
We may prioritize others’ needs over our own, and our more idealistic side may emerge. During this cycle, pursuing what we want becomes less straightforward and more complicated!
However, compassion drives us while Mars is in Pisces. We can be spiritual warriors, or we achieve our goals intuitively and with faith. We can be chameleons, adapting to the current situation quite expertly, although we can also be escape artists, preferring to avoid rather than confront. Our behavior may be passive-aggressive, or we fight for ourselves through confusing or placating our opponent.

Jupiter is in Cancer.
Jupiter began its transit of Cancer on June 9th, 2025, and will continue its visit to the sign until June 30th, 2026. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Cancer.

Saturn is in Aries. Saturn is in Aries from May 24th, 2025 to September 1st, 2025, and then from February 13th, 2026, to April 12th, 2028. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aries.

Uranus has returned to Taurus.
Uranus is in Gemini from July 7th to November 7th, 2025, from April 25, 2026, to August 3, 2032, and then from December 12, 2032, to May 22, 2033. Read about Uranus in Gemini in its calendar page.
Uranus has more work to do in the sign of Taurus from November 7th, 2025, to April 25th, 2026. Uranus began in Taurus in 2018/2019. During this cycle, we approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.

Neptune is in Aries. Neptune first transited Aries from March 30, 2025, to October 22, 2025, but it returned to Pisces. Now, Neptune is in Aries for the long haul: from January 26, 2026, to May 21, 2038, and then October 21, 2038, to March 23, 2039. Read about Neptune’s transit of Aries.

Pluto is in Aquarius. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Note that Pluto finally completed its journey through Capricorn on November 19th, 2024, from which time Pluto stays in Aquarius for many years to come.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Aries from March 6-30. In Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past. It’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.
Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to Aries. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.
Venus is in Taurus from March 30-April 24. In Taurus, Venus is usually quite content, but can be possessive. We seek security and value that which lasts. Our appetite for pleasure is strong. Taurus values the here and the now as well as the world of the five senses.
Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance are most important now. Holding on to someone we love is our tendency under Venus in Taurus. The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own.
This week: On Friday, envy, jealousy, and possessiveness can enter the picture if we let fear drive our behavior. Insecurities about not being “in the know” or fears of having the rug pulled from under our feet in our relationships can be stimulated. It might be difficult to get close to one another under these conditions, but with self-honesty, it can be a good time to get in touch with our vulnerability.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Aries Romance at the drop of a hat is part and parcel of the cycle you have just begun. Winning the hearts of others can be a challenge you’re eager to accept – and the thrill of the chase might be most of the fun. Is it the pursuit of happiness – or the happiness of pursuit?
Venus in Taurus A love of music, an appreciation for sensual pleasures and others of the finer things in life – such are the signs of the cycle which has begun for you. This is aesthetic and artistic to be sure, but it is also practical and materialistic: you develop a keen appreciation for the value of things, including the money it takes to buy them.
Venus semi-square Mercury March 26. Communications between lovers are superficial and unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. Superficiality in romantic expression may exist now.
Venus conjunct Chiron March 26. Healing energy is brought to love relationships, and a new cycle begins. A commitment-friendly transit. Love can heal old wounds. We are open to romantic feelings, and more willing to act upon them. This is a good time to make a resolution to repair, heal, and improve relationships.
Venus parallel Chiron March 28. Relationships go through healing and reparation. We’re open to romantic feelings, and more willing to act upon them.
Venus square Pluto April 3. Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Jealousy and possessiveness are high, in direct proportion to fear of losing partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies.
Venus sextile North Node April 5-6. There is a stronger desire to connect to and belong with others at this time. We are more obliging and sociable.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, March 29th, from 1:29 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 3:34 PM EDT.
VOC on Tuesday, March 31st, from 8:32 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Uranus), until the Moon enters Libra at 10:52 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, April 2nd, from 4:56 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Scorpio the next day, Friday, April 3rd, at 8:12 AM EDT.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on Wednesday, April 1st, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, but with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). The Moon is waning this week after the Full Moon on April 1st, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, also with some exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a brief window of opportunity occurs this week on Sunday, March 29th, from approximately 1:10 PM to 1:25 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Leo. The next window will occur next week on the 10th.

This Week’s Aspects

![]()
Mercury trine Jupiter. Looking for meaning in mundane affairs, positive thinking, insights, cooperation–these are themes of this influence. Our ideas are big and our intentions noble. We might receive good news or offers now. We prefer to think about the big picture rather than becoming bogged down with details. This transit favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, accurate diagnoses and observations (all things equal).
![]()
![]()
Sun semi-square Uranus. During this transit, we feel the need for action, but if we don’t know where we’re headed, we might take the wrong turn. Unexpected changes in plans or events can test our patience, and we might feel a bit out of control. However, they could stimulate us to try new approaches and they certainly act to cut boredom. This transit could offer us the drive to do something new, but avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being.

Venus square Pluto. Intense passions are stirring, but there’s a hidden agenda. Feelings of jealousy and possessiveness run high, in direct proportion to fear of losing someone or something. It’s not an ideal time to begin a new relationship, because it can be characterized by these energies. Social interactions may be intense or could provoke intense feelings. Resentments and issues that have been brewing in a close relationship come to the surface, disrupting the peace. Manipulative behavior, fear of betrayal, and power struggles are possible.

MARCH 29
The Moon is in Leo until 3:34 PM EDT, stirring our need to play, express ourselves, and create. We’re enthusiastic and take particular pride in our accomplishments. This Moon encourages our theatrical, playful, and competitive side. The Moon’s trine to Chiron this morning promotes healing and reconciliation. Because we’re not inclined to worry over details or rely too heavily on rationale, it’s easier to see the bigger picture. Early afternoon brings an expressive, driven, and dynamic theme. The Virgo Moon from 3:34 PM forward is especially concerned with precision and details, and with this influence, we gravitate to practical activities and helping others. We might be a little more reserved or self-contained, and we can be especially sensitive to criticism.
The Moon is void from 1:29 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 3:34 PM EDT.
MARCH 30
Venus enters Taurus today, where it will transit until early on April 24th. In Taurus, Venus performs well and is comfortable, sensual, content, and perhaps possessive. We seek security more than usual during this cycle and place more value on things that last. In fact, Venus in Taurus improves and enhances our judgment of value and worth. Our appetite for pleasure is strong in the weeks ahead. Uncertainty bothers us more than usual–we favor stability over excitement in love and joy.
Today’s Virgo Moon is similarly practical and earthy, but also particular. There can be some disconnect between our emotions and intellect with the Moon’s opposition to Mercury this afternoon. Minor disagreements, mainly about sensitivity to feelings, are more likely now. However, the Moon is sextile Jupiter this evening, and our need to improve, grow, and thrive dominates.
MARCH 31
The Moon spends most of the day in the sign of Virgo, bringing a spirit of helpfulness, moderation, and attention to detail to the day. It’s a generally good day for organizing, preparing, and sorting. We can be reactive with the Moon’s opposition to Mars in play this morning. There can be a battle between our need to unwind or detach and our desire to keep busy, organize, and solve practical problems. However, centering ourselves can help us put more thought into our actions and communications. As well, the Moon’s trine to Uranus this evening helps us find easy, inventive channels for expressing the Virgo Moon’s energies.
At 10:52 PM EDT, the Moon moves into Libra, and with this Moon, we’re gracious and accommodating. Especially aware of our social skills and need for more effective communication, we’re ready to meet people halfway.
The Moon is void from 8:32 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Uranus), until the Moon enters Libra at 10:52 PM EDT.
APRIL 1
While the Moon’s oppositions to Neptune and Saturn today can be disorienting and tense, we’re tapping into our resourcefulness and our determination to make things work. With the Libra Moon all day, we’re willing to meet people halfway. The Full Moon occurs tonight at 10:12 PM EDT in the sign of Libra. Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships.
This lunation brings sudden awareness to our lives, particularly in areas that require more balance, as well as the need to improve and enhance our relationships. Something is exposed or illuminated, prompting us to connect with the things/feelings we may have been neglecting or putting off. Relationship imbalances and flaws are more noticeable and perhaps even glaring now. We can feel quite inspired to make improvements and come up with excellent strategies for doing so now. This Full Moon awakens our feelings, especially about relationships and social exchanges. It’s an emotional time, and there can be an element of exaggeration or excess in our discoveries.
APRIL 2
We seek balance, harmony, and equality with the Moon in Libra, a cardinal Air sign, all day. The Moon squares Jupiter this morning, and while the overriding need is to detox and calm, there can be tension or restlessness due to competing needs and ambitions. For example, desires for companionship and needs for nurturing can be at odds with one another. Patience is necessary now. We should watch for going overboard to combat boredom. As the day advances, a Venus-Jupiter quintile inspires cooperation in situations that call for it. We give one another the benefit of the doubt. It can feel especially good to put our faith in someone or something now.
The Moon is void today from 4:56 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Scorpio the next day, Friday, April 3rd, at 8:12 AM EDT.
APRIL 3
The Moon continues its void period until it enters Scorpio today at 8:12 AM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Leo
![]()
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
![]()
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
![]()
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
![]()
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Aries A new sense of self, a more assertive personal style, a more dynamic approach to life: these are the hallmarks of the cycle that begins for you now. Doubts fade into the background, and reserve is more and more a thing of the past. It’s time for action; your destiny is in your hands, rather than set apart. Full speed ahead (“and damn the torpedoes”) is your motto now, for better or for worse!
Mercury in Pisces Knowing things without knowing how you know them is typical at a time like this. The mystical, the universal, the eternal: these are the things that stir your curiosity. Call it psychic, call it deja vu … it can be there when you call on it, whatever you call it. (Remembering the little things might become more difficult, however: it’s tough to remember if you paid the electric bill when you’re more interested in the eternal verities.)
Mars in Pisces There’s a martyr complex in the air, now that this new phase has begun in your life. How can you (or anyone) save the world? It’s a question you’ll probably ask yourself as this cycle continues. Defending the weak, undoing injustice, and tilting at windmills can be a big temptation. You might even win a few hands – but you’ll blister a couple if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Cancer Taking care of yourself and all that’s yours becomes a high priority in your life now. Security, setting down roots, establishing your ties with the past: these things are among the articles of faith that guide you. This is often a sign of growth in all things connected with family and property (such as real estate).
Saturn in Aries Self-discipline and a sense of self-worth become important issues in your life as a new phase begins for you. A fear of asserting yourself can hold you back – as can coming on too strong. The trick is learning to make the most of your personal talents and abilities, working within your limitations instead of feeling hemmed in by them.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Aries The frontier spirit is alive and well as a new cycle dawns in your life. Independence and originality take on a kind of primal importance for you; you tend to put these qualities on a pedestal, above all else. Fresh starts, new possibilities … these are the visions that light a spark in your soul. But what of the weak, the ones who aren’t free, the ones who get left behind?
Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
