LAST WEEK: The FULL MOON occurred on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at 8:22 PM EDT.
On Saturday, the 12th, the Full Moon occurred when the Sun in Aries formed an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.
The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise.
With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.

This phase of the Moon occurred at 23 degrees and 20 minutes of Libra, forming an opposition with the Sun at the same degree of Aries, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 19 to 27 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.
Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships. This Full Moon forms a square with Mars, lending an impulsive tone to our emotional discoveries.

NEXT WEEK: The LAST QUARTER MOON will occur on Sunday, April 20th, 2025, at 9:35 PM EDT.
On Sunday, April 20th, the Last Quarter Moon will be exact, when the Sun in Taurus forms a square with the Moon in Aquarius.
The Last Quarter Moon phase points to a crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us–and what doesn’t–in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again.
This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. What revelations did you have last week? What did they mean to you? What can be done now?

This phase of the Moon occurs at 1 degree and 12 minutes of Aquarius square the Sun at the same degree of Taurus, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 29 to 30 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 0 to 3 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
First Quarter Moon
The FIRST QUARTER MOON occurs on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at 10:14 PM EDT.
On Friday night, the First Quarter Moon occurs when the Sun in Aries forms a square with the Moon in Cancer. There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we are made aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error.
If we began a project or initiative around the New Moon, it might now get off the ground and may face its first obstacles.

This week: The Sun is in Aries until the 19th, when it moves into Taurus; Mercury is in Pisces until the 16th, when it enters Aries; Venus is in Pisces; Mars is in Cancer until the 18th, when it enters Leo.
The Sun is in Aries from March 20-April 19. In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive and have the urge to initiate, innovate, and come first.
Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little in the way of shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
The Sun in Taurus is the connoisseur and sensualist. It’s patient, stubborn, earthy, stable, and rooted. The Sun-in-Taurus cycle is a good one for maintaining or building, as well as enjoying and appreciating what’s already in place. While the Taurus Sun is slow to warm up, it’s stable and persevering once it does. We value what’s long-term, strong, and lasting during this phase.
Mercury is in Pisces from March 29-April 16. When Mercury is in Pisces, our thinking processes are more visual, intuitive, and imaginative. We are especially attuned to the world of emotion, which colors both our thoughts and our communication style.
We guess well, express ourselves with imagery, and make decisions intuitively. We are more attracted to consciousness-raising information.
It’s not always easy to verbalize our impressions during this cycle. We don’t enjoy pinning down, labeling, or strictly defining things. We recognize that life isn’t always logical, and we prefer not to think in black and white terms. We’re sensitive and impressionable, which means we can take in more than usual, and it can sometimes overwhelm us. Pisces needs periodic time alone or within to regenerate and detox.
Mercury is in Aries from April 16-May 10. When Mercury is in Aries, we are less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations, and more concerned with reaching a decision…quickly! Our thoughts and ideas are pioneering, and we tend to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.
There can be quick, possibly impatient or hurried, decisions during this cycle, and our responses are similar: quick and perhaps defensive or combative. We value independent thought, and we can be mentally competitive. executive decisions. We prefer to learn through personal experience, not instruction.
Venus is in Pisces from March 27-April 30. Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach, as there is a longing for something that is difficult to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deceived because we want to believe, as well as evasiveness. We should watch for falling in love with an idealized image of something or someone. It’s also important to watch for avoidant or indirect behavior.
Venus is exalted in Pisces and does well in the sign. It’s devoted, compassionate, exceptionally giving, and capable of sacrifice. We might refer heavily on our intuition with our finances and love life during this cycle. We gravitate to–and appreciate–unusual, tossed aside, poetic, artistic objects, situations, and people. We seek activities that move, inspire, or touch us.
Money may slip through our fingers, or we could ignore or overlook some of the practical elements of our lives now. However, finances improve if we connect with our otherworldly talents, imagination, desire to heal and serve, or sense of mission.
This transit is not particularly strong for resolve or determination, but it’s good for adaptability and increased understanding or acceptance.
Mars is in Cancer from January 6-April 18. [While retrograde Mars returned to Cancer on January 6th, Mars turned direct on February 23rd and continues its transit of Cancer until April 18th.] We pursue our interests ardently, but we avoid a direct approach to going after we want while Mars transits Cancer. As well, our goals and plans are subject to mood swings and vacillations. We are defensive rather than overtly aggressive. Much of what we do depends on our current mood of the moment.
We’re also very intuitive and can be moved to take action to bring peace or comfort and safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. In fact, we’re fiercely protective. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.
Mars is in Leo from April 18-June 17. In Leo, Mars is proud, self-confident, and grand. We are spirited and have grand goals. We go after what we want in a direct, self-assured manner, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details, and take the least complicated route to our goals. The sex drive is strong, and passion for life is high.
Mars in Leo can awaken a competitive spirit or drive. We’re more willing to take risks to get what we want. We also tend to make a splash, and we want to be in the driver’s seat. This transit is passionate, ardent, and dramatic. We seek to appear strong and prefer to be in the lead or the center of attention. We can be particularly angry if we feel disrespected or in an undignified position.
Jupiter is in Gemini.
Jupiter began its transit of Gemini on May 24th, 2024, and continues its transit of the sign until June 9th, 2025. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Gemini.
Saturn transits Pisces from March 7th, 2023 until May 24th, 2025, and Sep 1st, 2025, to Feb 13th, 2026. Read about Saturn’s transit of Pisces. Saturn will enter Aries on May 24th, 2025.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Pluto is in Aquarius. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Note that Pluto finally completed its journey through Capricorn on November 19th, 2024, from which time Pluto stays in Aquarius for many years to come.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Pisces from March 27 to April 30. Like Aquarius, Pisces love is universal. However, Pisces draws no bounds in love. With Venus in Pisces, we have compassion (and perhaps attraction) for those who are left out, overlooked, or victimized. We are self-sacrificing, and we have a hard time setting up borders. The walls go down, we have a hard time saying no (especially if our compassion is engaged), but we are also prone to avoiding all that makes us feel uncomfortable.
Wishful thinking is one expression of Venus in Pisces. We can too easily believe what we want to believe. People can be hard to pin down, and love is hard to define under this influence. Pisces never sees the world in black-and-white terms. Rather, Pisces sees all the colors of the rainbow. With the goddess of love in Pisces, our love is all-embracing, we are able to forgive and understand, we are seducible and seductive, and we show compassion to our partners.
Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach nevertheless, as there is a longing for something that is hard to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deluded, as well as evasiveness.
This week: On Sunday, Monday, and Friday, we are inclined to voice our feelings or sort through them, but we should be careful not to over-intellectualize our affections. We tend to analyze our feelings and relationships, and our interactions bring up more questions than answers.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Pisces A martyr complex, a love for the underdog, a search for your soul mate: such are the experiences associated with the new cycle you’re now just beginning. A yen for soul-stirring romance, a weakness for the weak, and a tendency to idealize people and relationships … very aesthetic, very other-worldly.
Venus semi-sextile the Sun April 13-14. We may feel that our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt, and perhaps some indecision. Seeking to fulfill both of these needs without doing so at the expense of the other makes sense, but isn’t straightforward at this time.
Venus contra-parallel Mercury April 13-14 and April 18. We are voicing our feelings now, but we should be careful not to over-intellectualize our affections. We tend to analyze our feelings and relationships. Interactions bring up questions.
Venus sextile Uranus April 20. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.

It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waning this week, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, although with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week on Tuesday, April 15th, from approximately 2:35 PM to 10:20 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Scorpio. Another window occurs from approximately 4:25 AM to 7:35 AM EDT on Friday, April 18th, 2025, while the Moon is in Sagittarius.

Mercury conjunct Neptune. Our intuitive creativity is stimulated under this influence. A very positive transit for artistic and literary endeavors. We get insights into our own minds. Conscious reasoning can be distorted by subconscious matter, so concentrating on cold hard facts can be challenging. Daydreaming, visualization, and prophecy are stimulated. Communications may be unclear, vague, or downright confused. We may be subject to deception. Avoid signing contracts under this influence.
Jupiter sesquiquadrate Pluto. We may take on too many interests, activities, or desires under this influence. Exaggerating our importance or power, either to ourselves or others, should be avoided.
Mars trine Neptune. We act on our intuition now, sexual fantasies are strong, we strive towards all that is boundless, and our creative impulses are potent. We are less tense and driven, and more relaxed. “What will be, will be” is the attitude now. Inspiration can be found now. This transit favors dancing, swimming, photography, arts, and entertainment.

APRIL 13
The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 9:54 AM EDT, and we’re seeking the middle ground. A minor square between Pluto and Ceres today can aggravate tendencies to possessiveness or excessive attachment, which can drive the people or things involved away. There may be difficult endings, or we could struggle with rejection. We might aim to resist urges to stifle, control, and manipulate. The Scorpio Moon from 9:54 AM forward encourages us to uncover the hidden layers of any given situation. This Moon is observant, perceptive, and passionate.
The Moon is void from 6:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mars), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 9:54 AM EDT.
APRIL 14
The Sun forms a semi-sextile with Venus this morning and heads toward the same aspect with Uranus, and we can struggle with the thought of going our own way and being independent versus a tendency to please others. We might question our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt and perhaps some indecision. It can be challenging to integrate our various urges into our personalities or to act upon them consistently. The Moon spends the day in Scorpio, helping us with focus and concentration. As well, Mars and Jupiter are heading toward a parallel, and as the day advances, we’re becoming more confident about acting on our beliefs and convictions.
APRIL 15
The Sun is semi-sextile Uranus early today and forms the same aspect with Saturn this evening. We can find it a little difficult to fully enjoy ourselves without a vague feeling that we may be neglecting a responsibility. However, we can feel prepared for anything. A Mars-Jupiter parallel points to much enthusiasm, possibly overdone, but certainly inspiring and exciting. Change is in the air, and we are feeling strong enough to embrace it. It’s a strong influence for enterprising ideas as we get into the spirit of things. We can be especially resourceful. With a Mercury-Juno trine tonight, we want to learn, reason things out, and gain knowledge to empower ourselves. Feelings might develop for someone due to what is said or a mental connection made. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until 10:38 PM EDT, when it moves into Sagittarius.
The Moon is void from 10:24 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mercury), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:38 PM EDT.
APRIL 16
Mercury enters Aries today and heads toward an alignment with Neptune. Mercury first transited Aries from March 3rd to 29th but didn’t finish its transit due to a retrograde cycle. Now, Mercury enters Aries again, where it will visit until May 10th. This Mercury cycle can feel refreshingly decisive and forward-looking. It can certainly be a time when we’re a bit impatient or terse and perhaps defensive and combative with our responses, but it can feel good not to dwell or spend too much time arriving at conclusions in the weeks ahead. We’re less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations during this cycle and more interested in reaching a decision quickly. We want to pioneer and innovate or be the first ones with the idea. It’s time to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.
Even so, as the day advances, we head toward a Mercury-Neptune alignment, which will be exact very early into the day tomorrow. This transit diffuses or eases tension or releases mental blocks. We’re thinking or talking about our dreams and ideals. It can be a time of interesting ideas, tastes, conversations, and musings. With this transit, we’re more inclined to apply our intuition to everyday issues and problems. Our minds are open to many possibilities and options as we see beyond physical or material concerns and solutions. Communication can be inspired and inspirational, fanciful, or vague and unclear, and possibly deceptive. It’s best to watch for attempts to escape definitions and responsibilities, but reframing things before we make decisions can be helpful. We should avoid allowing wishful thinking to dictate our choices, but tapping into our imagination can be rewarding.
APRIL 17
Jupiter forms a sesquiquadrate with Pluto today, and events or circumstances can subtly challenge our beliefs, kickstarting a need for an attitude change during this period. We might struggle between the desire to learn through experience and the compulsion to follow our ambitions. It’s crucial to find a balance in our journey of growth and advancement, as taking shortcuts or pushing too hard can ultimately set us back. For instance, making impulsive decisions or overestimating our abilities can lead to setbacks. While it can be tempting now, we should avoid exaggerating our importance or power to ourselves, as it’s easier to make costly mistakes this way. This aspect first formed in August 2024 and then again in December 2024; this is the third and final perfection.
While we’ve just experienced a Mercury-Neptune conjunction that favored some mystery or nuance in our interactions, a Mars-Juno trine encourages us to be direct with one another today. Our relationships strengthen as we share power and validate one another’s input and opinions. We act with more purpose and resolve but also have a strong awareness of other issues and others’ agendas, which is a powerful combination.
APRIL 18
Mars enters Leo today after an extended stay in the sign of Cancer. Note that Mars first entered Leo on November 3rd, 2024, but later turned retrograde and returned to the sign of Cancer. Mars will transit Leo from today until June 17th. This transit draws out our proud, self-confident, and grand side. We go after what we want directly and self-assuredly during this cycle, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details and seek the most straightforward route to our goals. This cycle encourages our spirited, courageous, and ardent natures–our passion for life runs high. Some of our efforts that stalled while Mars was retrograde in Leo in December may now move forward. The Moon continues its transit of Sagittarius today until 10:13 AM EDT, from which time the Moon is in Capricorn.
The Moon is void from 7:39 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to the Sun), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 10:13 AM EDT.
APRIL 19

When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.

The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Sun in Taurus The cycle now dawning in your life emphasizes stability, substance, practicality, and the concept of value – value in the material as well as psycho-spiritual sense. This marks a time of building to last, of appreciating the substantial rather than ephemeral. Consolidating past gains rather than focusing on radical new departures is likely to be a major theme for you during this cycle. Appreciating the finer things of life is another hallmark of this phase, which marks a time when you should be concentrating on “smelling the roses” rather than passing them by in such a hurry.

LAST WEEK: The FULL MOON occurred on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at 8:22 PM EDT.
On Saturday, the 12th, the Full Moon occurred when the Sun in Aries formed an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.
The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise.
With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.

On Friday night, the First Quarter Moon occurs when the Sun in Aries forms a square with the Moon in Cancer. There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. This week: The Sun is in Aries until the 19th, when it moves into Taurus; Mercury is in Pisces until the 16th, when it enters Aries; Venus is in Pisces; Mars is in Cancer until the 18th, when it enters Leo.
The Sun is in Aries from March 20-April 19. In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive and have the urge to initiate, innovate, and come first.
Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little in the way of shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
The Sun in Taurus is the connoisseur and sensualist. It’s patient, stubborn, earthy, stable, and rooted. The Sun-in-Taurus cycle is a good one for maintaining or building, as well as enjoying and appreciating what’s already in place. While the Taurus Sun is slow to warm up, it’s stable and persevering once it does. We value what’s long-term, strong, and lasting during this phase.
Mercury is in Pisces from March 29-April 16. When Mercury is in Pisces, our thinking processes are more visual, intuitive, and imaginative. We are especially attuned to the world of emotion, which colors both our thoughts and our communication style.
We guess well, express ourselves with imagery, and make decisions intuitively. We are more attracted to consciousness-raising information.
It’s not always easy to verbalize our impressions during this cycle. We don’t enjoy pinning down, labeling, or strictly defining things. We recognize that life isn’t always logical, and we prefer not to think in black and white terms. We’re sensitive and impressionable, which means we can take in more than usual, and it can sometimes overwhelm us. Pisces needs periodic time alone or within to regenerate and detox.
Mercury is in Aries from April 16-May 10. When Mercury is in Aries, we are less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations, and more concerned with reaching a decision…quickly! Our thoughts and ideas are pioneering, and we tend to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.
There can be quick, possibly impatient or hurried, decisions during this cycle, and our responses are similar: quick and perhaps defensive or combative. We value independent thought, and we can be mentally competitive. executive decisions. We prefer to learn through personal experience, not instruction.
Venus is in Pisces from March 27-April 30. Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach, as there is a longing for something that is difficult to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deceived because we want to believe, as well as evasiveness. We should watch for falling in love with an idealized image of something or someone. It’s also important to watch for avoidant or indirect behavior.
Venus is exalted in Pisces and does well in the sign. It’s devoted, compassionate, exceptionally giving, and capable of sacrifice. We might refer heavily on our intuition with our finances and love life during this cycle. We gravitate to–and appreciate–unusual, tossed aside, poetic, artistic objects, situations, and people. We seek activities that move, inspire, or touch us.
Money may slip through our fingers, or we could ignore or overlook some of the practical elements of our lives now. However, finances improve if we connect with our otherworldly talents, imagination, desire to heal and serve, or sense of mission.
This transit is not particularly strong for resolve or determination, but it’s good for adaptability and increased understanding or acceptance.
Mars is in Cancer from January 6-April 18. [While retrograde Mars returned to Cancer on January 6th, Mars turned direct on February 23rd and continues its transit of Cancer until April 18th.] We pursue our interests ardently, but we avoid a direct approach to going after we want while Mars transits Cancer. As well, our goals and plans are subject to mood swings and vacillations. We are defensive rather than overtly aggressive. Much of what we do depends on our current mood of the moment.
We’re also very intuitive and can be moved to take action to bring peace or comfort and safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. In fact, we’re fiercely protective. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.
Mars is in Leo from April 18-June 17. In Leo, Mars is proud, self-confident, and grand. We are spirited and have grand goals. We go after what we want in a direct, self-assured manner, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details, and take the least complicated route to our goals. The sex drive is strong, and passion for life is high.
Mars in Leo can awaken a competitive spirit or drive. We’re more willing to take risks to get what we want. We also tend to make a splash, and we want to be in the driver’s seat. This transit is passionate, ardent, and dramatic. We seek to appear strong and prefer to be in the lead or the center of attention. We can be particularly angry if we feel disrespected or in an undignified position.

Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.

Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Pisces from March 27 to April 30. Like Aquarius, Pisces love is universal. However, Pisces draws no bounds in love. With Venus in Pisces, we have compassion (and perhaps attraction) for those who are left out, overlooked, or victimized. We are self-sacrificing, and we have a hard time setting up borders. The walls go down, we have a hard time saying no (especially if our compassion is engaged), but we are also prone to avoiding all that makes us feel uncomfortable.
Wishful thinking is one expression of Venus in Pisces. We can too easily believe what we want to believe. People can be hard to pin down, and love is hard to define under this influence. Pisces never sees the world in black-and-white terms. Rather, Pisces sees all the colors of the rainbow. With the goddess of love in Pisces, our love is all-embracing, we are able to forgive and understand, we are seducible and seductive, and we show compassion to our partners.
Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach nevertheless, as there is a longing for something that is hard to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deluded, as well as evasiveness.
This week: On Sunday, Monday, and Friday, we are inclined to voice our feelings or sort through them, but we should be careful not to over-intellectualize our affections. We tend to analyze our feelings and relationships, and our interactions bring up more questions than answers.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:

A yen for soul-stirring romance, a weakness for the weak, and a tendency to idealize people and relationships … very aesthetic, very other-worldly.
Venus semi-sextile the Sun April 13-14. We may feel that our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt, and perhaps some indecision. Seeking to fulfill both of these needs without doing so at the expense of the other makes sense, but isn’t straightforward at this time.
Venus contra-parallel Mercury April 13-14 and April 18. We are voicing our feelings now, but we should be careful not to over-intellectualize our affections. We tend to analyze our feelings and relationships. Interactions bring up questions.
Venus sextile Uranus April 20. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.

A minor square between Pluto and Ceres today can aggravate tendencies to possessiveness or excessive attachment, which can drive the people or things involved away. There may be difficult endings, or we could struggle with rejection. We might aim to resist urges to stifle, control, and manipulate. The Scorpio Moon from 9:54 AM forward encourages us to uncover the hidden layers of any given situation. This Moon is observant, perceptive, and passionate.

The Sun forms a semi-sextile with Venus this morning and heads toward the same aspect with Uranus, and we can struggle with the thought of going our own way and being independent versus a tendency to please others. We might question our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt and perhaps some indecision. It can be challenging to integrate our various urges into our personalities or to act upon them consistently. The Moon spends the day in Scorpio, helping us with focus and concentration. As well, Mars and Jupiter are heading toward a parallel, and as the day advances, we’re becoming more confident about acting on our beliefs and convictions.
APRIL 15
The Sun is semi-sextile Uranus early today and forms the same aspect with Saturn this evening. We can find it a little difficult to fully enjoy ourselves without a vague feeling that we may be neglecting a responsibility. However, we can feel prepared for anything. A Mars-Jupiter parallel points to much enthusiasm, possibly overdone, but certainly inspiring and exciting. Change is in the air, and we are feeling strong enough to embrace it. It’s a strong influence for enterprising ideas as we get into the spirit of things. We can be especially resourceful. With a Mercury-Juno trine tonight, we want to learn, reason things out, and gain knowledge to empower ourselves. Feelings might develop for someone due to what is said or a mental connection made. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until 10:38 PM EDT, when it moves into Sagittarius.

APRIL 16
Mercury enters Aries today and heads toward an alignment with Neptune. Mercury first transited Aries from March 3rd to 29th but didn’t finish its transit due to a retrograde cycle. Now, Mercury enters Aries again, where it will visit until May 10th. This Mercury cycle can feel refreshingly decisive and forward-looking. It can certainly be a time when we’re a bit impatient or terse and perhaps defensive and combative with our responses, but it can feel good not to dwell or spend too much time arriving at conclusions in the weeks ahead. We’re less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations during this cycle and more interested in reaching a decision quickly. We want to pioneer and innovate or be the first ones with the idea. It’s time to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.
Even so, as the day advances, we head toward a Mercury-Neptune alignment, which will be exact very early into the day tomorrow. This transit diffuses or eases tension or releases mental blocks. We’re thinking or talking about our dreams and ideals. It can be a time of interesting ideas, tastes, conversations, and musings. With this transit, we’re more inclined to apply our intuition to everyday issues and problems. Our minds are open to many possibilities and options as we see beyond physical or material concerns and solutions. Communication can be inspired and inspirational, fanciful, or vague and unclear, and possibly deceptive. It’s best to watch for attempts to escape definitions and responsibilities, but reframing things before we make decisions can be helpful. We should avoid allowing wishful thinking to dictate our choices, but tapping into our imagination can be rewarding.
APRIL 17
Jupiter forms a sesquiquadrate with Pluto today, and events or circumstances can subtly challenge our beliefs, kickstarting a need for an attitude change during this period. We might struggle between the desire to learn through experience and the compulsion to follow our ambitions. It’s crucial to find a balance in our journey of growth and advancement, as taking shortcuts or pushing too hard can ultimately set us back. For instance, making impulsive decisions or overestimating our abilities can lead to setbacks. While it can be tempting now, we should avoid exaggerating our importance or power to ourselves, as it’s easier to make costly mistakes this way. This aspect first formed in August 2024 and then again in December 2024; this is the third and final perfection.
While we’ve just experienced a Mercury-Neptune conjunction that favored some mystery or nuance in our interactions, a Mars-Juno trine encourages us to be direct with one another today. Our relationships strengthen as we share power and validate one another’s input and opinions. We act with more purpose and resolve but also have a strong awareness of other issues and others’ agendas, which is a powerful combination.
APRIL 18
Mars enters Leo today after an extended stay in the sign of Cancer. Note that Mars first entered Leo on November 3rd, 2024, but later turned retrograde and returned to the sign of Cancer. Mars will transit Leo from today until June 17th. This transit draws out our proud, self-confident, and grand side. We go after what we want directly and self-assuredly during this cycle, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details and seek the most straightforward route to our goals. This cycle encourages our spirited, courageous, and ardent natures–our passion for life runs high. Some of our efforts that stalled while Mars was retrograde in Leo in December may now move forward. The Moon continues its transit of Sagittarius today until 10:13 AM EDT, from which time the Moon is in Capricorn.

We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
