Mars conjunct Jupiter/Pluto and then Venus trine Jupiter/Pluto in the second half of March. Passions and ambitions intensify, and there are wonderful channels for expressing them. During the Venus-retrograde period, your career or responsibilities may temporarily lose the pleasure factor, and you may be going back over old projects, encountering mistakes that need fixing, and delays that keep you in limbo. Mars is retrograde from September 9 to November 13 in the sign of Aries (pre-retrograde shadow begins July 25th). Joint financial projects or initiatives may stall, or there’s some ambiguity with finances, particularly debts and shared money or resources. Refocusing, backtracking, and review may be necessary. Mars retrogrades tend to turn your attention to unresolved issues as you may be seeking closure or you may be looking to reopen something that ended a while ago. Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Cancer on January 10th

This is a Wolf Moon, penumbral eclipse. This eclipse occurs when there is a strong showing in the sign of Capricorn, as well as a stellium involving the Sun, Mercury, Saturn, and Pluto, which are opposite the Cancer Moon. These bodies rather widely harmonize with Neptune. Jupiter is conjunct the South Node. We’ve been intensively focused on one area of our lives, and we’re now awakening to the need for perspective.

For Virgo, your feelings for someone, about a relationship, or about romance, in general, can be pivotal now, reaching a turning point. You might also come to powerful realizations about long-term happiness goals. Events occurring now are designed to push you in the right direction — along a more authentic path. Square Uranus, widely conjunct Mercury. Occurs when Venus is square Mars and applying to a conjunction to Neptune. Everything is direct! Major planets on one side of the chart. New Moon in Pisces on February 23rd

Tightly/partile sextile to Mars, and forms a sextile with Uranus and a trine with the Moon’s Nodes. Conjunct retrograde Mercury. Occurs when Mars has just formed a trine to Uranus and is conjunct the South Node, and on the day of a Venus-Jupiter square.

This is an important time for reflection. We’re tuning into our intuition. Part of us is clinging to desires that are no longer serving us well. For Virgo, watch for over-attachment to old ways in love and romance, or for keeping everything to yourself. Full Moon Eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5th

A Honey Moon penumbral lunar eclipse. This eclipse is tightly square Mars. It’s also square Neptune (Mars is applying to a conjunction to Neptune, 5 degrees away). The Sun is conjunct Venus in Gemini.

For Virgo, this can be a somewhat problematic but intuitive and creative Full Moon eclipse related to your living conditions or arrangements, personal life, emotional world, home, or family. Finding a better balance between your professional and personal life will be a theme this year and next, and this can get the ball rolling. Some Virgos are gearing up to move or refocus and make career changes.

New Moon/Annular Solar Eclipse in Cancer on June 21st

This Solar Eclipse happens in the first degree of Cancer at the time of the Summer Solstice, marking a pivotal new beginning. It occurs very close to the North Node.

For Virgo, this eclipse stirs keen interest in your personal happiness and the people around you, as well as your standing and position with friends and groups. There might be some drama in your social life that shakes things up enough to get things going. A new or renewed friendship is possible in the weeks ahead of this eclipse.

Full Moon/Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn on July 5th

The Buck Moon. This lunar eclipse occurs around the time of the Jupiter-Pluto alignment in Capricorn. Retrograde Mercury is widely conjunct the Sun. It’s the final eclipse in a Cancer-Capricorn set that began in July 2018. Realizations made now are powerful.

For Virgos, this Lunar Eclipse prompts realizations that help you finally balance your powerful needs for personal efforts with communal or social involvement. Or, this can be a final push towards balancing your attention to your romantic life and focus on friendships, or towards creating on your own and contribution to or involvement with the group. The Sturgeon Moon. It’s square Uranus, bringing an unexpected or abrupt element to our discoveries. Venus is not only no longer retrograde, but it has also left its post-retrograde shadow and we can feel wiser and luckier in love and with money.

Overview: Harmony and Challenge of Outer Planets:

While the year holds some intense energy, Virgo, most of it is either harmonizing with your sign or not coming at you directly. This means that the change that’s taking place, while significant, seems like natural progress. It feels good! You’re growing and improving, and when you’re asked to move out of your comfort zone, it’s a nudge rather than a push.

Your sector of joy, creativity, romance, self-expression, and leisure is, once again, in focus this year. In some ways, it’s more so. However, there are a couple of reasons why the energies feel better. First, Jupiter moves into this area of your solar chart, and Jupiter brings more meaningfulness, enjoyment, and happiness. So, while you’re making changes and sometimes tough calls, your increased self-discipline and maturity feel right. Secondly, Saturn is transitioning out of this sector. Saturn is a disciplinarian, and while it brings powerful and useful lessons, it’s also a serious and heavy influence. Your fair share of fun, romance, and good times are in store. Your willingness to enjoy yourself and explore your creativity now brings new opportunities, or you might find that avenues open up to you for exploring new ways of having fun. For example, you might meet a new friend who spurs you to go out more, or you could be inspired by someone else's creative projects and begin a new and rewarding hobby. Creative projects are likely to fare well during this cycle, and could possibly even bring some type of recognition or reward. Love and romance may come into your life or an existing romance is enhanced with good humor and warmth.
