Last Quarter Moon
The LAST QUARTER MOON occurs on Sunday, November 8th, 2020, at 8:46 AM EST.
On Sunday morning, the Last Quarter Moon is exact, when the Sun in Scorpio forms a square with the Moon in Leo.
The Last Quarter Moon phase points to some sort of crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us — and what doesn’t. This is in preparation for next week’s New Moon when something new is born once again.
This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. We might consider our recent revelations, what they mean to us, and what’s our possible next step.
This phase of the Moon signals a time to review and sort rather than push something new. Until the New Moon, it’s a better time to tie up loose ends, take inventory, and let go if necessary.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 37 minutes of Leo forming a square to the Sun at 16 degrees and 37 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 15 to 19 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Scorpio; Mercury is in Libra until the 10th when it moves into Scorpio; Venus is in Libra; Mars is in Aries.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 22-November 21. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire.” Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio. We have the desire to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair. Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
Mercury is in Libra from October 27-November 10. [Note that retrograde Mercury re-entered Libra on October 27th and continues its retrograde until November 3, but stays in Libra until November 10.] When Mercury is in Libra, we are diplomatic and friendly. During this cycle, we are able to bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. It’s a good time to think about ways of improving our negotiation skills. In an attempt to see both sides of any given situation, Mercury in Libra can be a vacillating energy. It can be more challenging than usual to make quick decisions, as we can sit “on the fence.” We may too easily accommodate others’ opinions in order to keep the peace. In our negotiations, we don’t want to assert ourselves in such a way as to appear to be the “bad guy”. However, this is a good period for considering others’ points of view. We are more inclined to arrive at fair conclusions.
Mercury is in Scorpio from September 27-October 27 and November 10-December 1. [Note that retrograde Mercury re-entered Libra on October 27th. Mercury spends longer than usual in Scorpio due to Mercury’s retrograde from October 13-November 3, although this Rx is partially spent in the sign Libra.] When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and to arrive at fair solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover. We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations. Scorpio is extremely sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking is inclined to be one-track minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Venus is in Libra from October 27-November 21. We are more inclined to employ charm than direct or assertive behavior to get what we want during this cycle. Although relationships mean everything to Venus in Libra, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be incredibly idealistic about love. We prefer things that are done the “right” way, and aggressive or uncouth behavior especially turns us off. The shadow side of this position is dependence, inconsistency, and superficiality. As we attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners while privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so! It’s also a time when we are more artistically inclined. We tend to seek balance in our personal environment.
Mars is in Aries from June 27, 2020, to January 6, 2021. [This is longer than usual due to the retrograde of Mars from September 9-November 13, 2020.] Mars feels at home in one of the signs that it rules, Aries, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident. Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
Jupiter entered Capricorn on December 2nd, 2019, and will transit the sign until December 19th, 2020. Read more about the Jupiter in Capricorn transit.
Saturn has returned to the sign of Capricorn in retrograde motion (early July). In 2020, Saturn divides its time between the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn transits Capricorn until March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here. Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and then later, from December 17, 2020, to March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus transits Taurus May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Libra from October 27-November 21. Venus rules Libra and thus is dignified in the sign. Venus feels right “at home” in Libra, where she seeks to balance and harmonize. With Venus in Libra, we can easily be in love with love. We are more comfortable with a close partner with whom we can seek to have a balanced relationship. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want.
Although Venus in Libra is deeply invested in relationships, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. We prefer things to be done the “right” way, and we’re turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. The shadow side of this position is dependence, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so!
This week: On Sunday through Tuesday, Venus opposes retrograde Mars as Mars heads toward a station, and something comes to a head. Sparks fly! Venus in Libra is compromising and tactful, while Mars in Aries is independent and straightforward. The pace can be slow and indecisive, and there can be conflicts stirred in our relationships, with tendencies towards impulsive decision-making. Our desires can be difficult to understand, or difficult to satisfy. Some of us may be stirring up problems in order to fulfill a need for excitement, while important relationship issues can come to a head for others. We can very easily find ourselves at odds with others as if we need to be on opposite sides in order to eventually find a balance.
Wednesday is somewhat awkward for our relationships. We’re seeking special meaning through our connections, which makes us a little more vulnerable to influence. It’s best to treat it as a shift day rather than one to make big decisions. We’re likely to doubt someone in our lives, or happiness, in general!
On Thursday and Friday, we gravitate toward situations that help us grow, improve, and move forward. Cooperation can bring rewards. Fortunate connections might be made now. Even so, with Mars stationing and turning direct, it’s still not an ideal time to make big decisions.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Venus quincunx Uranus November 3. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, freedom vs. intimacy issues. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships, or whether we need freedom from them, yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
Venus opposition Mars November 8-9. Romantic needs are at odds with assertive, physical, or sexual needs. Relations are heated and erotic, but come with underlying tension.
Venus contra-parallel Mars November 10. Passions are stimulated and intense. A fine line between love and hate. Competitiveness. Questions are raised or ultimatums made.
Venus quincunx/inconjunct Neptune November 11. Idealism and disappointments in love. Avoid becoming blinded by what you want to see, rather than what really is. Doubts about love.
Venus parallel Neptune November 11-12. Heightened sensitivity to, and awareness of, beauty and spirituality. We are easily influenced, seducible and seductive, and given to strong powers of imagination. We are more attuned to the world of beauty and romance. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. A “magical” time on a romantic and social level, but it could also be a confusing or illusory influence as well. Psychic openness and compassion.
Venus trine True North Node November 12-13. We are more concerned about harmonizing and tend to be agreeable and cooperative. We could feel lucky in love, and we could meet someone who is good for us. Fortunate connections might be made now.
Venus square Pluto November 14-15. Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Jealousy and possessiveness are high, in direct proportion to fear of losing partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies.
Venus square Jupiter November 15. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships. As well, take what your partner says with a grain of salt. There is no malicious intent involved, but feelings of elation can cloud our judgment, and we can promise more than we can deliver.
Venus square Saturn November 18-19. Feeling unsatisfied, isolated, and unloved. Personal relationships are likely to be strained as we express our affections cautiously and sparingly. If we believe we are not getting what we want in love, we attract negative situations and challenges in our relationships. This is not a good time to begin a new relationship–new ones begun now are likely to be stamped with themes of duty and restriction.
Venus sesquiquadrate Neptune November 23. Romantic confusion as well as relationship ups and downs. Self-deceptions may come to light now.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, November 9th, from 6:05 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mercury), until the Moon enters Virgo at 8:30 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, November 11th, from 5:59 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Saturn), until the Moon enters Libra at 11:10 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 13th, from 6:33 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Saturn), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 11:19 AM EST.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
The Moon is waning this week, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs from Sunday, November 8th at approximately 9:45 AM EST, until Monday, November 9th, at approximately 6:00 AM EST while the Moon is in Leo. Another window occurs from Tuesday, November 10th, at approximately 4:45 PM EST, until Wednesday, November 11th, at approximately 5:55 AM EST, while the Moon is in Virgo. The caveat for these windows: Mars is still retrograde during these periods.
Another window occurs at the Cazimi Moon from Saturday, November 14th, at approximately 11:40 PM EST, until Sunday, November 15th, at approximately 12:35 AM EST, while the Moon is in Scorpio.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Venus opposition Mars. Passions run high. Jealousies are possible. Impulsive decisions affect our finances and/or established relationships. We stir up problems in order to fulfill a need for excitement.
Sun trine Neptune. We’re at the right place at the right time, probably because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in”. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits like no drug can. A good time for self-improvement programs or efforts. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence. We are able to see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that allows for, and even finds beauty in, differences.
Venus quincunx Neptune. Under this influence, we are apt to see what we want to see, rather than what actually is, when it comes to both financial affairs and affairs of the heart. Still, we tend to doubt our perceptions of perfection. The end result is a feeling of insecurity on romantic and social levels. Avoid making large purchases and commitments at this time.
Sun sesquiquadrate Chiron. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong, but may be hampered by a lack of confidence or a fear of being different.
Jupiter conjunct Pluto. An increased need for shared interests with others, as well as for adventurous or risky undertakings, is with us now as we strive for more personal significance. Benefits may come now through those in authority or the government. It can be a time of personal growth and expansion. This can be an ambitious time when a desire for success is especially strong. The ability to sway or persuade can be enhanced. One of the most positive uses of this transit is a drive to better ourselves. We might solve a problem that has been in existence for some time, or capitalize upon a resource that was previously hidden. Social or material goals may come into strong focus, and reform could figure now. Our faith may be reborn or developed strongly now. We might decide to invest our time and energy (and possibly money) into an ambitious new project. We should take advantage of the increased drive this transit brings, but avoid tendencies towards self-righteousness, exaggeration, and obsession. This transit generally favors big business, the law, grants, taxes, education, and commerce. Increased influence, faith, and insight are likely now.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Neptune. We are not thinking clearly, preferring to daydream. Technical facts can be glossed over at this time. It’s not a good time to make a presentation, to ask for what you want, or to formalize agreements.
Sun sextile Pluto. Research brings rewards. We benefit now from strategy and keeping things to ourselves for the time being. Opportunities to find or renew something we had lost, and to gain some power are available now.
Sun sextile Jupiter. This transit can bring hopefulness, good will, and increased influence into our lives. It’s favorable for marketing, publishing, and advertising, as well as any self-promotion activities. We may be especially sociable, tolerant, and generous under this influence. Confidence comes from a stronger sense of who we are and the principles we represent. Some form of recognition or distinction is possible now. We are more able to grasp the “big picture” which expands our perspective.
Note: Times given in the table/calendar above are Eastern Time (ET).

NOVEMBER 8
The Last Quarter Moon occurs this morning with the Leo Moon’s square to the Sun, signaling a time to review and sort rather than push something new. Until after the New Moon, it’s a better time to tie up loose ends, take inventory, and let go if necessary. We might consider our recent revelations, what they mean to us, and what’s our possible next step. The Moon spends the day in Leo, encouraging our affectionate, expressive natures. The Leo Moon is honorable, proud, and authoritative. We are taking pride in our relationships, and we may be putting forth extra effort to strengthen and support others and build trust.
NOVEMBER 9
The Moon continues its transit of Leo until it enters Virgo at 8:30 AM EST. We can move from a playful to a workhorse frame of mind with this Moon sign change. Venus opposes retrograde Mars this morning, however, pitting wants and desires against one another. Passions run high, and jealousies are possible. Impulsive decisions affect our finances and/or established relationships. We might stir up problems to fulfill a need for excitement if we are not aware of the tendency. Our desires can be difficult to understand–or difficult to satisfy. Brewing relationship issues can come to a head. Venus in Libra seeks a middle ground, but Mars in Aries, complicated by its slow pace as it heads towards a station, is independent and self-directed. Mixed signals can be frustrating and even maddening now. As the day advances, we’re far more zen as the Sun heads toward a trine to Neptune, exact very early tomorrow. This transit introduces a fluid, graceful theme to the second half of the day. We readily access our intuition, and we can be moved to help, support, or give of ourselves. We see people and life itself from a different perspective–one that not only allows for but finds beauty in differences.
The void Moon occurs from 6:05 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mercury), until the Moon enters Virgo at 8:30 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 10
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Virgo, and pouring some of our energy into detailed work may be appropriate. We tend to focus on the parts that make up a whole. Its opposition to Neptune this afternoon can temporarily pull us off our game. Still, its harmonious aspects with the Sun and then Jupiter and Pluto encourage cooperation, focus, and practical ability. This transit draws out our desire to heal, help, and fix, and stimulates a need for order and predictability. Mercury, which has been moving in direct motion for a week, moves back into Scorpio, where it will transit until December 1st. Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow runs until November 19th. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all things hidden or undercover. It’s a time to probe, investigate, observe, and focus. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. We favor deep conversations. Thinking tends to be one-track minded and perhaps obsessive.
NOVEMBER 11
The Moon continues its transit of Virgo until 11:10 AM EST. The Virgo Moon is practical, especially with its trine to Saturn this morning. While we can find many things to do and we’re busier than usual, it’s easy to get into a comfortable routine. We want to be useful and productive, and focusing on details seems the best route to making headway. The Moon in Libra from 11:10 AM forward inclines us to seek out the other side to a story. We’re looking at things from a different perspective and giving our relationships their due attention. However, Libra’s ruler, Venus, forms a quincunx to Neptune, and uncertainty in Venus-ruled life areas (romance, social life, and finances) can be a theme. We could struggle between wanting to see things realistically and preferring to look the other way or nurture a fantasy. There can be some insecurity or doubts about others or our own feelings and perceptions under this influence.
The void Moon occurs from 5:59 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Saturn), until the Moon enters Libra at 11:10 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 12
This morning, a Sun-Chiron minor challenge suggests further wavering of confidence. We may doubt our inner guide, and we may face situations that seem to test our vulnerabilities. The Libra Moon opposes retrograde Mars, reinforcing touchiness and temperamentality. While we’re seeking harmony, our desires and impulses seem to contradict this emotional orientation. However, Jupiter and Pluto align today for the third and final time in the sign of Capricorn. This aspect first formed in early April and recurred in late June. It has sparked a need for shared interests or taking on a challenge as we strive for more significance. It’s been an ambitious time when a desire for success, growth, and development is incredibly strong. We can feel driven to better ourselves and the world around us. We might solve a problem that has been in existence for some time or capitalize upon a previously hidden resource. Social or material goals may come into sharper focus, and reform could figure strongly now. We’re learning to make the most of our resources, and we’re dealing with change and transformation with more confidence and faith. Making the most of changing circumstances is powerful. We should watch for tendencies towards self-righteousness, exaggeration, and obsession. There is an inclination to take things too far.
NOVEMBER 13
Mars stations and turns direct today after over two months of retrograde motion (Mars was retrograde since September 9th in the sign of Aries). This evening, the fiery planet is stationary as it begins direct motion. Mars energy hangs heavy in the air today and in the next couple of days as Mars changes direction. Slowly but surely, over the coming weeks, we are likely to regain our enthusiasm, projects that have stalled move forward, and we begin to feel more confident and assertive. We may change our minds about recent decisions or projects as priorities become more explicit. Ideally, we’ve learned more about our desires, and motivation levels increase. As the shift occurs today, and with Mercury in a minor challenging aspect to Neptune, it’s best to wait and see. The Moon continues its transit of Libra until it enters Scorpio at 11:19 AM EST. The Scorpio Moon is determined and convicted.
The void Moon occurs from 6:33 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Saturn), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 11:19 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 14
The Sun forms a sextile to Pluto and then to Jupiter today, and we can be tapping into our determination to improve or grow. We may get a “yes” or go-ahead for a project or gain cooperation from others. Some form of recognition or distinction is possible now. We feel more vital and confident. We enjoy strategizing and can be very resourceful, ambitious, and eager to expand. We’re certainly seeking a little more depth or meaningfulness from our activities and connections. We tend to direct our energy constructively and seek out new insight into our lives. It’s a good time for promotion and marketing. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Scorpio, reinforcing themes of concentration and determination.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues, and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Mercury in Libra A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Mars in Aries Fresh challenges and initiatives light your fires now, as a new cycle begins in your life – lots of energy, a powerful urge to be first, or come out on top. Away with the old and on to the new – let no one and nothing stand between you and your objective! Headstrong impulses and rash courage can take you far … sometimes in harm’s way if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Capricorn Respect, status, and achievement are central goals for you as a new phase begins in your life. Creating a structure to empower and maintain your ideals and principles becomes a high priority, an article of faith. By taking on greater responsibilities of this kind, you become an inspiration to others. Ambition unlimited always ends in defeat.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
