The FULL MOON/LUNAR ECLIPSE occurs on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022, at 6:02 AM EST.
On Tuesday morning, a Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Scorpio forms an opposition to the Moon in Taurus. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 1 minute of Taurus, opposite the Sun at 16 degrees and 1 minute of Scorpio. It’s a busy eclipse with Mercury, Venus, Uranus, the Moon’s Nodes, and Saturn closely involved. There can be inflated feelings, and we can wrestle with strong urges and blocks, so it’s wise to sit with our revelations for a bit before taking action.
Note that this is one of several eclipses of a set occurring along the Taurus-Scorpio axis. There was a November 2021 Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, a Solar Eclipse in Taurus in April 2022, a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio (Taurus’ opposite sign) in May 2022, a Solar Eclipse in Scorpio in October 2022, and now a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus (November 2022). More to come: a Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio in May 2023, and finally, a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus in October 2023.
This eclipse serves as another prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Taurus- and Scorpio-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify. See more details about this eclipse in Eclipses/Lunations.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 16 degrees and 1 minute of Taurus opposite the Sun at 16 degrees and 1 minute of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 11 to 21 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
This second chart wheel is of the same Lunar Eclipse, but it includes additional points, such as Chiron, the four major asteroids, Eris, and Sedna.

This week: The Sun is in Scorpio; Mercury is in Scorpio; Venus is in Scorpio; Mars is in Gemini.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 23-November 22. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire.” Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio–we want to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair.
Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
We are more likely to prosper through strategy and knowing the value of keeping some things to ourselves at the right times. Efforts to repurpose, recycle, salvage, and transform can be successful. We’re especially successful at organizing, researching, investigating, and analyzing.
While we can be quite controlled with effort, there is some inclination to extremism. We can be drawn to challenges and crises, and we feel compelled to heal, fix, and direct or manage.
Mercury is in Scorpio from October 29-November 17. When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and arrive at reasonable solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover.
We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations.
Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical yet also intuitive. Thinking is inclined to be one-track-minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Mercury-in-Scorpio isn’t shocked by much, or at least keeps its cool even if surprised. During this cycle, our approach is psychological when analyzing, deciding, and studying or observing. We’re not afraid to go places mentally. We get to the heart of a matter or to the bottom line very quickly, usually through instinct. Our resourcefulness and strategy stand out. We’re competitive.
We can be intrigued by motives and secrets or taboos. It’s not easy to take instruction or someone’s word for it–we have to experience it ourselves to draw conclusions. This position of Mercury is one of the most persuasive. It’s an excellent time to research, investigate, troubleshoot, and work on hunches. If left to observe on our own, we do our best thinking, seeking the hidden layers of a situation.
Venus is in Scorpio from October 23-November 16. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. It’s a highly emotional position for Venus, and it’s passionate energy.
Our relationships are immensely important to us, and we may even feel that they consume us. In fact, we tend to want to be consumed by them! Our drive is toward intense closeness, but blind faith in our partners is extremely hard for us now. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our own power to others are strong. Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result. Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises to feel alive and vital.
Similarly, during this Venus-in-Scorpio cycle, we seek or gravitate to absorbing, deeply engaging, dramatic pleasures, activities, projects, and art. Things that are profound, disturbing, mysterious, or unusual can be more appealing now.
This can be a good time for finances, especially when working with others’ talents or resources, whether as an agent, supporter, or partner.
Mars is in Gemini from August 20, 2022-March 25, 2023. [This is much longer than usual due to a Mars retrograde cycle from October 30, 2022-January 12, 2023.]
In Gemini, Mars is versatile and flexible but not especially determined or focused. We should watch for becoming so scattered that we’re ineffective. However, it’s an excellent period for diversifying our interests and understanding the power of our communications.
It’s an excellent time for strategizing and devising useful tactics to achieve our desires and goals. We’re resourceful and clever, and we know how to use words effectively.
Perhaps most notable during this period is our tactical skills. We know how to maneuver things to get our way. We use words to charm and express anger. We’re very talkative, and animatedly so, when passionate and enthusiastic about a topic.
Mars is retrograde from October 30, 2022, to January 12, 2023.
Jupiter is in Pisces.
Jupiter was in Aries from May 10 to October 28, 2022 before it retreated into Pisces. This was part one of two, with the second and final part upcoming–from December 20, 2022, to May 16, 2023. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Aries.
Jupiter returned to Pisces on October 28th, and will continue in Pisces until December 20, 2022–the final part of three in the Jupiter-in-Pisces transit. Read more about the Jupiter in Pisces transit.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Scorpio from October 23-November 16. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is a passionate, sensual, and intense energy.
Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises in order to feel alive and vital. If a relationship becomes too settled or predictable, we may crave more intensity and catalytic experience. Jealousies, fears of betrayal, and power games are the shadow side of Venus in Scorpio.
We may easily become obsessed with a fear that our partners might be betraying us, or that they are not as consumed by and dedicated to the relationship as us. This can lead us to try to uncover the “truth”, reading too many negative possibilities in our partners’ actions and words.
This week: Complicated energy is with us on Sunday and Monday (the 6-7). Questions of individuality, freedom, and restriction can emerge in our relationships. Feeling unfulfilled, unappreciated, or unloved can create tension. Themes of duty, obligation, or restriction can add further strain to relating. We can reach an impasse or obstacle, or there can be a checkpoint moment for our relationships. Temporarily, we fear the worst and see the flaws. There can be some emotional distance or blockage, and ideally, it’s a time for reaching a new level of maturity and realism in your relationships. Relationship goals can very much clash with social life goals now.
On Wednesday and Thursday (the 9-10), we treat lovers with more tenderness or we see them in a more sensitive, obliging light. We’re particularly open to romance, and we can be quite sensitive to others’ needs and backstories. We see the very best in people now, helping to ease our interactions and taking the pressure off in personal relationships.
On Friday (the 11th), there can be some awkwardness as our needs and desires don’t seem to mesh. Our romantic sensibilities and our desires are at odds with one another, and problems (especially misunderstandings) in romantic and sexual relationships may result. While it’s usually a small hiccup in an established relationship, this is a less-than-ideal transit under which to begin a new relationship.
Saturday (the 12th) supports intimacy, understanding, and depth in our connections. We seek devotion and attachment.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Scorpio This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus sesquiquadrate Jupiter November 3. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships.
Venus opposition Uranus November 5. Not a good time to start relationships. Independence is the reigning need. Some fickleness. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness.
Venus parallel Saturn November 5. We may express our affection sparingly, but also responsibly and in practical ways. Relationships begun under this influence often feel burdensome over time, but they may last longer than most.
Venus contra-parallel Uranus November 6. Questions of freedom, change, specialness, and experimentation are raised in our relationships.
Venus square Saturn November 6-7. Feeling unsatisfied, isolated, and unloved. Personal relationships are likely to be strained as we express our affections cautiously and sparingly. If we believe we are not getting what we want in love, we attract negative situations and challenges in our relationships. This is not a good time to begin a new relationship–new ones begun now are likely to be stamped with themes of duty and restriction.
Venus trine Neptune November 9-10. We perceive romantic situations as if they were “designed” just for us. A magical, romantic time. The pleasures of life are experienced fully. Romance is highly favored. We see the very best in people now, and this eases our interactions and takes the pressure off in personal relationships.
Venus quincunx Mars November 11. When we attempt to be friendly, we seem to miss the mark. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging. Our romantic sensibilities and our desires are at odds with one another, and problems (especially misunderstandings) in romantic and sexual relationships may result. This is a less-than-ideal transit under which to begin a new relationship.
Venus sextile Pluto November 12-13. Subtly powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions.
Venus sesquiquadrate Chiron November 13-14. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves.
Venus trine Jupiter November 14-15. Harmony and good will reign under this influence. Expansive feelings in love, and a feeling that anything is possible if we set our sights high enough, are experienced now. We are friendly, big-hearted, sociable, and optimistic. It is easy to make social contacts under this influence. Cheerfulness, trust, and confidence in love and social matters.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, November 6th, from 5:30 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Taurus the next day, Monday, November 7th, at 12:16 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, November 9th, from 7:01 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Gemini at 8:38 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 11th, from 5:30 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Cancer at 7:24 PM EST.
November 2022:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on the 8th. The waxing Moon is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, although with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). The Moon is waning after the Full Moon on the 8th, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, also with exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, there are no clear windows of opportunity this week. The next window will occur next week from 1:30 AM to 5:40 AM EST on Monday, November 14th. Note that Mars is retrograde all week (Mars is retrograde until January 12th, 2023) and a Lunar Eclipse occurs on the 8th–factors that can compromise judgment and new beginnings.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury quincunx Chiron. Decisions can be hard to come by under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now, which can lead to misunderstandings.
Sun sesquiquadrate Jupiter. We may feel vague restlessness and discontent with life as it is. We want more, but perhaps too much. Overestimation, wastefulness, and exaggeration. Elevated moods, but unstable ones, as they may not be based on reality.
Venus square Saturn. Gaining what we want is challenging under this influence, due to negative attitudes and the tendency to need more than what is possible. Difficulties socializing with others stem from an increased sensitivity to rejection as well as stiffness with the affections. Emotional distance in relationships. Avoid new financial undertakings, as they may prove to be “money pits” as time passes.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter. We experience information overload, and we neglect to consider details. People tend to exaggerate today.
Mercury conjunct Sun. We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!
Mercury opposition Uranus. Mercury opposition Uranus. We are distracted. Our communications get lost, are interrupted, or are misunderstood. Disagreements with others are quite possible. It’s not a good time to present an argument or an important idea.
Sun opposition Uranus. We want freedom, and we refuse to conform. Our wants are somewhat unstable and changeable. Sudden changes of plans are likely, and could stimulate us to try new approaches and they certainly act to cut boredom. This transit could offer us the drive to do something new, but avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being.
Mercury square Saturn. Getting from point A to point B can be a challenge during this transit due to obstacles. Communications may be blocked or delayed, and negative thinking could dominate at this time. Projects we thought were complete may need revision, and others could appear overly critical, insensitive, or sarcastic. It’s difficult to trust our instincts, and we second-guess things automatically under this influence. Avoid signing on the dotted line at this time.
Venus trine Neptune. We are more attuned to the world of beauty, the arts, and the imagination. Compassion, harmony, kindness, and openness characterize this transit. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. This can be a “magical” time on a romantic and social level. The pleasures of life are experienced fully. We see the very best in people now, and this eases our interactions and takes the pressure off in personal relationships. Romance is highly favored.
Sun square Saturn. As we face obstacles to our goals, we begin to see the tools with which we have to overcome them. A heavy dose of realism seems forced upon us under this influence, but our efforts to measure up to expectations can ultimately increase our confidence in our ability to be responsible for ourselves. This influence is a somber one.
Venus quincunx Mars. When we try to be friendly, we seem to miss the mark. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging. Our romantic sensibilities and our desires are at odds with one another, and problems (especially misunderstandings) in romantic and sexual relationships may result.
Mercury trine Neptune. Imagination and intuition run high, and are involved in decisions made today. We are in the right place at the right time. We may easily sense the thoughts and feelings of others. We express ourselves with subtle flair. Favors photography, the arts, poetry, fiction, spirituality, advertising, and promotion.

This week…The Sun and Mercury align, oppose Uranus, and square Saturn around the time of the Lunar Eclipse on the 8th, and there can be some abrupt changes, shake-ups, or disruptions in our lives. Mood changes can be extreme at times due to a struggle between wanting to break free and needing to follow the rules. Their harmony with Neptune later this week and early next week help us find creative solutions or channels for this tension.
NOVEMBER 6
While today’s Aries Moon prefers a direct approach, transits today are more complex. Mercury’s quincunx to Chiron can introduce misunderstandings, doubts, and hypersensitivity to the day. We may feel stuck on a mental plane today with Mercury also aligning with the South Node of the Moon. The tendency is to overthink, overexplain, or overanalyze, which can be a form of procrastination or emotional avoidance. As the day advances, Venus heads toward a square aspect with Saturn, and we might focus on the negative possibilities, which can be the first step before we get to a place of realism. We could feel unsatisfied, isolated, or unloved, which puts us on guard or defensive with our feelings and affections. Fears are most likely at the root of this. We may feel a little discouraged on a social level if we don’t receive the feedback we crave. Difficulties in socializing can occur if we are more sensitive to rejection than usual. There may be a lesson or reality check with matters of the heart, pleasure, or finances. Temporarily, we’re cautious and unlikely to be free or generous with money or our hearts.
The Moon is void today from 5:30 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Taurus the next day, Monday, November 7th, at 12:16 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 7
The Moon leaves Aries and enters Taurus at 12:16 AM EST, and the desire for more security motivates us. Mercury’s sesquiquadrate to Jupiter this morning occurs not long after a Venus-Saturn square, and we can move from overly negative to unduly optimistic. We tend to make more of an issue than it deserves and should watch for exaggerated perceptions and communications or news. A creative aspect between Venus and Mars is excellent for seeing relating patterns and using them positively to encourage creativity and excitement. While the Taurus Moon is peaceful, a Lunar Eclipse will occur in the sign early tomorrow, and emotions heighten today.
The void Moon continues today until 12:16 AM EST, when the Moon enters Taurus.
NOVEMBER 8
This morning, at 6:03 AM EST, a total Lunar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Taurus. We take an urgent interest in the physical world and our own sensual needs and desires at this time. While we should watch for stubbornness, some self-interest is healthy and necessary now. This eclipse is the fifth in a set along the Taurus-Scorpio axis that will continue until October 2023. It’s another prompt, nudge, or push in the continuing story of improving Taurus- and Scorpio-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify. There can be inflated feelings, so it’s wise to sit with them for a bit before taking action.
Full Moons always pit opposite signs of the zodiac against each other and invite us to balance the opposing energies. The contrast between earthy, practical, peace-loving Taurus and emotional, transformative, crisis-oriented Scorpio comes full bloom now. It’s a passionate and creative Full Moon, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. Intimate relationship matters, such as personal comfort levels, sexuality, and values, figure prominently now. Our feelings about a lingering problem or issue can become very clear now.
While there can be a tug-of-war between closeness and independence, we might discover ways to interact while honoring both needs. We may need to deal with distractions and feelings of discontent that can lead us along unexpected tangents. Disruptions now may lead to a desire to explore motivations and understand meanings.
Also occurring now–and gaining more power because they’re tied in with the eclipse–are the superior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury and these bodies’ oppositions to Uranus. Ideas and realizations now are pivotal. As we see our very different needs pitted against one another today, we can feel quite a bit of tension, but it can be instructive. We are likely to encounter resistance from others and from within ourselves. Unanticipated events may be part of the picture now, mainly through our relationships and the illumination of a different perspective. This energy is rebellious and touchy, especially if we feel constrained. We may need to deal with distractions and feelings of discontent, which could lead us along unexpected tangents. Disruptions now may lead to a desire to explore motivations and understand meanings. Transits today pull up the need to review our desire for more freedom. We are reaching a point of total exposure, especially regarding autonomy, innovation, and independence issues. Sudden changes in plans are likely, and these could motivate us to try new approaches. The drive to do something new is with us, but we still need a direction or purpose, and it’s best to avoid making hasty decisions.
Today’s Full Moon is fertile and potent, awakening us to our feelings or a new approach to enjoying ourselves. With its ties to the Sun-Mercury-Uranus configuration, there can be surprise or abrupt elements to our epiphanies. There can be a strong urge (or need) to break free from old patterns in our relationships. Our feelings about a lingering problem or matter can become very clear now. The desire to experience something new, exciting, and bold can figure strongly, yet we can also experience some fear of breaking out of our comfort zones.
The Mercury-Sun alignment offers us a nice window of opportunity to clearly see our goals in our intimate worlds. There can be an epiphany, illumination of a matter, or a clearing of the air. We are sharp, communicative, and open at this time, and what we say or write now has a strong impact, for better or worse! An idea or plan can come to full bloom. There can be new insights into our intimate relationships, personal psychology, or finances. This energy is very much a mental, light-bulb-over-the-head energy.
NOVEMBER 9
The Sun perfects its opposition to Uranus early today. This energy is rebellious and touchy, especially if we feel constrained. It’s a yearly influence that can pull up the need to review our appetite for more freedom. We should watch for hasty choices. The Moon moves into communicative Gemini at 8:38 AM EST, and our curiosity about what’s happening around us increases. A Uranus-Ceres trine this morning is excellent for innovation in our work, with health, and methods, in general. With this influence, we’re discovering new and possibly improved ways of relating, nurturing, and healing. Group settings might also encourage these things. Allowing our loved ones more freedom to be themselves can be in focus. However, as the day advances, we’re heading toward a Mercury-Saturn square (the Sun will get to the same square a day later). We could feel blocked from expressing ourselves or preoccupied with serious or weighty issues. There can be difficulties getting our message across. Editing and improving make sense since we may encounter resistance if we push ahead. We might deal with criticism or disapproval, and we should draw on patience and aim to build mental strength. Focusing on the negative possibilities could be the first step before we get to a place of realism.
The void Moon occurs from 7:01 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Gemini at 8:38 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 10
With the Mercury-Saturn square’s reticence early morning behind us, we open up to beauty and faith as Venus forms a trine to Neptune. We trust others first before judging, preferring to cooperate, not compete. Seeing the best in people takes the pressure off in personal relationships. We’re also inclined to glamorize objects, situations, and pleasures. It’s easier to tap into our inner spiritual wisdom and draw on compassion. We prioritize spiritual and emotional concerns over material ones at this time and won’t step over others to achieve our goals.
The Sun, Mars, and Chiron connect creatively today, and we can benefit from strategy, focus, and willingness to grow and learn. We’re creative about going after what we want in life. Taking action to fix and heal can figure strongly. We’re absorbing and sharing what we’ve learned from past experiences and mistakes. However, we approach a Sun-Saturn square, and we might face obstacles and challenges. We can feel underestimated, unrecognized, unlucky, or unrewarded! We should watch for setting unattainable standards for ourselves, others, and situations. Our commitment to others can temporarily interfere with personal comfort levels. We face obstacles, but this puts us in the position to recognize our ability to overcome them. It can be a time to face reality or the practical side of a situation and assume more responsibility.
NOVEMBER 11
Early today, the Sun-Saturn square perfects, and we can be cautious or experience lowered vitality. Sacrifices may be necessary. It’s best to conserve energy. This afternoon, a Venus-Mars quincunx occurs, and our timing may be slightly off. There can be a dilemma or difficulty in feeling entirely at ease with others and making satisfying choices for entertainment or pleasure. Our romantic sensibilities and desires may be at odds, and problems (especially misunderstandings) in romantic and sexual relationships may result. Conflicts are likely between desires for independence and the need for nurturing or to nurture. The Moon is in observant Gemini until 7:24 PM EST, when it moves into protective Cancer.
The void Moon occurs from 5:30 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Cancer at 7:24 PM EST.
NOVEMBER 12
Mercury forms a trine to Neptune and a parallel with Venus today, and we’re willing to accommodate others and share our ideas and feelings. Transits encourage us to tap into our imagination. We more readily tune into and respond to our hunches. We may easily sense others’ thoughts and feelings, and our words, musings, and ideas can be more imaginative, colorful, subtle, or creative. We experience a sense of knowing and understanding with minimal explanation or instruction. While we may not be direct or definite, we see the way around obstacles. Favored now are photography, the arts, poetry, fiction, spirituality, advertising, and promotion. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Cancer, and we seek familiar faces and spaces. Safety, comfort, and warmth are the most appealing now. We crave a stronger sense of belonging. The Cancer Moon is protective, insular, emotional, and devoted.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues, and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Mars in Gemini Learning, communicating, the exchange of ideas: these are the experiences you crave as a means to make your mark now, as a new phase begins in your life. You’re a person with something to say, and you realize that others have information that is essential to your goals. A time of much mental energy and initiative … perhaps with an element of conflict tossed in for good measure.
Jupiter in Pisces Mysticism, sensitivity to the needs of others, and an awareness of karma (the link between the present and the past): these are your paths to spiritual growth now. Addressing these issues brings you gain and satisfaction at many levels. A tolerance for differences, an understanding of human frailties and shortcomings.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
