The NEW MOON occurs on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, at 12:07 AM EST.
The New Moon in Scorpio early on Sunday marks the beginning of a new cycle, presenting an opportune time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Scorpion.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 23 degrees and 18 minutes of Scorpio.
The weeks ahead of this New Moon are good for focusing on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Scorpion–passionate, resourceful, focused, probing, deep, and perceptive–and consider how to positively develop and incorporate these qualities into our lives.
Scorpio New Moons are suitable for working on our self-mastery skills. We may want to pinpoint those things that make us feel out of control, such as addictions and debts, and work on freeing ourselves of these emotional burdens.
This New Moon cycle is also opportune for exploring what is missing in our lives that leads us to engage in these self-destructive behaviors.
This cycle represents an opportunity to rid ourselves of “junk” in our lives–material and spiritual. With this potent Scorpio energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives.
Each sign teaches us valuable things, and one of Scorpio’s “lessons” involves learning to dig deeper into the mysteries around us instead of always being content with the status quo.
Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and meaning.
Scorpio also teaches us that dedication to one meaningful relationship or undertaking can be significantly more satisfying than spreading ourselves around. Here, “quality over quantity” applies.
We might want to use this cycle to focus on and develop one special project or relationship to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives.
It can also be a time to seek ways to release our fear of confrontations and heavy emotional situations. We’re discovering that although they may be uncomfortable, these situations can lead us toward psychological healing.
This New Moon harmonizes with Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. We can easily drum up support from others and motivation from within to accomplish our goals.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 23 degrees and 18 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 19 to 27 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
The above chart is excellent for seeing the fundamental influences and chart pattern of this New Moon.
The FIRST QUARTER MOON occurs on Saturday, November 21st, 2020, at 11:45 PM EST.
Late Saturday, November 21st, a First Quarter Moon occurs as the Sun in Sagittarius forms a square with the Moon in Pisces. There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we are made aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error. Whatever project or initiative we began around the New Moon is now off the ground, and it may face its first obstacles.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 0 degrees and 20 minutes of Pisces square the Sun at 0 degrees and 20 minutes of Sagittarius, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 28 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and approximately 0 to 2 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Scorpio until Saturday, the 21st, when it enters Sagittarius; Mercury is in Scorpio; Venus is in Libra until Saturday, the 21st, when it enters Scorpio; Mars is in Aries.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 22-November 21. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire.” Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio. We have the desire to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair. Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
The Sun is in Sagittarius from November 21-December 21. With the Sun in Sagittarius, our focus shifts from the need for an intimate connection with a person and with ourselves, to the desire to reach out to the world and connect with something larger than ourselves. While the Sun moves through this fiery, mutable sign, we can take steps to increase our understanding and awareness of the world around us. We are more able to muster up the courage to expand our horizons and branch out into new ways of thinking. We can gain more confidence and optimism by focusing on the “big picture” as we move away from our focus on the details of mundane existence. Although we may be prone to overdoing our expectations, we have the opportunity to nurture our faith, hope, and vision under this influence.
Mercury is in Scorpio from September 27-October 27 and November 10-December 1. [Mercury spends longer than usual in Scorpio due to Mercury’s retrograde from October 13-November 3, although this Rx was partially spent in the sign Libra.] When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and to arrive at fair solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover. We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations. Scorpio is extremely sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking is inclined to be one-track minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Venus is in Libra from October 27-November 21. We are more inclined to employ charm than direct or assertive behavior to get what we want during this cycle. Although relationships mean everything to Venus in Libra, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be incredibly idealistic about love. We prefer things that are done the “right” way, and aggressive or uncouth behavior especially turns us off. The shadow side of this position is dependence, inconsistency, and superficiality. As we attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners while privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so! It’s also a time when we are more artistically inclined. We tend to seek balance in our personal environment.
Venus is in Scorpio from November 21-December 15. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is passionate, sensual, and intense energy. Our relationships are immensely important to us, and we may even feel that they consume us. In fact, we tend to want to be consumed by them! Our drive is toward intense closeness, but blind faith in our partners is extremely hard for us now. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our own power to others are strong. Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result. Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises in order to feel alive and vital.
Mars is in Aries from June 27, 2020, to January 6, 2021. [This is longer than usual due to the retrograde of Mars from September 9-November 13, 2020.] Mars feels at home in one of the signs that it rules, Aries, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident. Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
Jupiter entered Capricorn on December 2nd, 2019, and will transit the sign until December 19th, 2020. Read more about the Jupiter in Capricorn transit.
Saturn has returned to the sign of Capricorn in retrograde motion (early July). In 2020, Saturn divides its time between the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn transits Capricorn until March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here. Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and then later, from December 17, 2020, to March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus transits Taurus May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Libra from October 27-November 21. Venus rules Libra and thus is dignified in the sign. Venus feels right “at home” in Libra, where she seeks to balance and harmonize. With Venus in Libra, we can easily be in love with love. We are more comfortable with a close partner with whom we can seek to have a balanced relationship. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want.
Although Venus in Libra is deeply invested in relationships, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. We prefer things to be done the “right” way, and we’re turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. The shadow side of this position is dependence, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so!
If a relationship becomes too settled or predictable, we may crave more intensity and catalytic experience. Jealousies, fears of betrayal, and power games are the shadow side of Venus in Scorpio. We may easily become obsessed with a fear that our partners might be betraying us, or that they are not as consumed and dedicated to the relationship as us. This can lead us to try to uncover the “truth,” reading too many negative possibilities in our partners’ actions and words.
This week: On Sunday, the 15th, envy, jealousy, and possessiveness can enter the picture if we let fear drive our behavior. We should take care not to blow our needs for approval, love, or more meaning in our lives out of proportion, and to overstate our feelings as a result. Because this energy occurs so close to a New Moon, it effectively has more power, coloring the week. Watch for excess, making much more of a situation than is warranted, or attempting to attract others through exaggeration.
On Wednesday and Thursday, there can be a checkpoint moment for our relationships. Temporarily, we may be fearing the worst and seeing the flaws. There can be some emotional distance or blockage, and ideally, it’s a time for reaching a new level of maturity and realism in your relationships. Relationship goals can very much clash with career or life path goals this week.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Venus in Scorpio This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus trine True North Node November 12-13. We are more concerned about harmonizing and tend to be agreeable and cooperative. We could feel lucky in love, and we could meet someone who is good for us. Fortunate connections might be made now.
Venus square Pluto November 14-15. Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Jealousy and possessiveness are high, in direct proportion to fear of losing partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies.
Venus square Jupiter November 15. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships. As well, take what your partner says with a grain of salt. There is no malicious intent involved, but feelings of elation can cloud our judgment, and we can promise more than we can deliver.
Venus square Saturn November 18-19. Feeling unsatisfied, isolated, and unloved. Personal relationships are likely to be strained as we express our affections cautiously and sparingly. If we believe we are not getting what we want in love, we attract negative situations and challenges in our relationships. This is not a good time to begin a new relationship–new ones begun now are likely to be stamped with themes of duty and restriction.
Venus sesquiquadrate Neptune November 23. Romantic confusion as well as relationship ups and downs. Self-deceptions may come to light now.
Venus quincunx Chiron November 25. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Venus opposition Uranus November 26-27. Not a good time to start relationships. Independence is the reigning need. Some fickleness. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness.
Venus contra-parallel Uranus November 29-30. Questions of freedom, change, specialness, and experimentation are raised in our relationships.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, November 15th, from 6:13 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:47 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, November 17th, from 2:55 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 11:35 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Thursday, November 19th, from 11:30 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to the Sun), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 3:25 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 20th, from 7:49 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mars), until the Moon enters Pisces the next day, Saturday, November 21st, at 11:06 PM EST (a lengthy one!).

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury quincunx Chiron. Decisions can be hard to come by under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now, which can lead to misunderstandings.
Venus square Pluto. Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Feelings of jealousy and possessiveness run high, in direct proportion to fear of losing partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies. Social interactions may be intense or could provoke intense feelings. Changes in financial status or relationships may occur now. Emotions and issues in a close relationship that have been brewing beneath the surface for quite awhile come to the surface at this time, possibly in a very disruptive way. All of our relationships intensify and we need to be aware of a tendency to act in a rather compulsive, demanding way towards others. This is an “all or nothing” energy. Manipulative behavior, fear of betrayal, and power struggles are possible.
Venus square Jupiter. Feelings of elation in love or with regards to the pleasures of life can lead us to overdo, overindulge, overspend, and overstate our feelings. Avoid hasty (or haughty!) decisions. We might take great strides to get noticed. Avoid impulsive buying. We may also feel lazy and we are inclined to procrastinate.
Mercury opposition Chiron. Misunderstandings in communications that occur now stem from taking things too personally. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. Doubting our ability to make a clear cut decision comes from a feeling that opposing viewpoints hold the same weight, and thus an inability to choose sides. There can be a sense of shooting ourselves in the foot when we present our ideas or opinions, and a feeling of misrepresenting ourselves when we communicate can figure strongly now.
Sun sextile Saturn. We feel grounded and stable. It’s easy to stick to a specific task and make headway. Productivity may be slow, but it’s steady. We are taking into account practical considerations and we are especially aware of the element of time. We are more able to discipline ourselves and put our egos aside in order to get the job done.
Venus square Saturn. Gaining what we want is challenging under this influence, due to negative attitudes and the tendency to need more than what is possible. Difficulties socializing with others stem from an increased sensitivity to rejection as well as stiffness with the affections. Emotional distance in relationships. Avoid new financial undertakings, as they may prove to be “money pits” as time passes.
Note: Times given in the table/calendar above are Eastern Time (ET).

NOVEMBER 15
The New Moon occurs shortly into the day at 12:07 AM EST in the sign of Scorpio. In the weeks ahead, we may be working on our self-mastery skills. It’s a fine time to pinpoint the things in our lives that make us feel out of control, such as addictions and debts, and work toward release from these emotional burdens. We may have an opportunity to rid ourselves of excess “junk” in our lives, material or spiritual. We may be moved to dig deeper into the mysteries around us rather than remain content with the status quo. Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and a sense of meaning. We might want to use this cycle to focus on developing one special project or relationship to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives. It can also be a time to seek ways to release our fear of confrontations and heavy emotional situations. We’re discovering that although they may be uncomfortable, these situations can lead us toward psychological healing. This New Moon harmonizes with Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. We can quickly drum up support and motivation from within to accomplish our goals. Still, Venus forms a square to Pluto and closes in on a square to Jupiter, and disruptions now may lead to a desire to explore motivations and understand meanings. We should take care not to blow our needs for approval, love, or more meaning in our lives out of proportion, and to overstate our feelings or qualifications as a result. We should watch for excess, making much more of a situation than is warranted, or attempting to attract others through exaggeration. These transits can accentuate or stimulate our insecurities, bringing suspicions and jealousies to the surface. Social interactions may be intense or could provoke intense feelings, and our relationship goals may feel at odds with our more worldly ambitions. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until 10:47 AM EST when it enters spirited Sagittarius.
The void Moon occurs from 6:13 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:47 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 16
The Moon spends the day in Sagittarius. The Venus-Jupiter square perfects shortly into the day, suggesting a tendency to excess or exaggeration. The Moon in Sagittarius is bold, adventurous, and eager. We’re motivated to reach out beyond our usual routines. We’re heading toward a Mercury-Uranus opposition. This aspect first formed in early October and then recurred later in the month when Mercury was retrograde. Today’s is the third and final formation, and it can stir mental tension, controversy, miscommunication, or changes of mind or plans, and resistance to ideas. Friction stimulated can challenge us to learn more about our minds and opinions. Epiphanies and unusual insights can occur now. Surprising news might arrive that turns our perception of a situation on its head.
NOVEMBER 17
The Moon continues its transit of Sagittarius until 11:35 AM EST. The Sagittarius Moon is brave and a tad restless, seeking new experiences. This Moon transit stimulates a need for meaning, truth, and adventure. The Mercury-Uranus opposition perfects early today, and we can be confrontational or rebellious in our communications. The friction stimulated now can challenge us to think more clearly and learn more about our opinions. From 11:35 AM EST forward, the Moon transits Capricorn, helping to ground us, but also stoking our ambitions. We crave results, preferring to see the reality of a situation. We are paying strong attention to our responsibilities and the structures in our lives.
The void Moon occurs from 2:55 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 11:35 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 18
The Moon transits Capricorn all day, and we can be especially goal-oriented. With a sensible Capricorn Moon, we seek more order and structure in our lives. However, in the hours surrounding the Moon-Mars square this afternoon, we can be temperamental. This brief transit can pit our sense of independence against duty. As the day advances, it becomes far easier to pace ourselves. We head towards a Sun-Saturn sextile that supports disciplining ourselves to bring more purpose and practicality to our lives. This is a time of increased self-awareness that leads to realistic plans and goals. The Sun-Saturn influence keeps our feet on the ground. We prefer conservative, safe moves now – slow and steady suits us fine. We feel grounded and stable. It’s easy to stick to a particular task and make headway. Taking into account practical considerations and time/energy limitations makes for better planning.
NOVEMBER 19
Venus forms a square to Saturn this morning, and we can be on guard or defensive with our feelings and affections. Fears are most likely at the root of this. We may feel a little discouraged on a social level if we don’t receive the feedback we crave. Difficulties socializing can occur if we are more sensitive to rejection than usual. There may be a lesson or reality check with matters of the heart, pleasure, or finances. We’re cautious and unlikely to be free or generous with money or our hearts temporarily. The Moon continues its transit of careful, responsible Capricorn until 3:25 PM EST, after which the Moon is in Aquarius. With an Aquarius Moon, we can be emotionally detached when the situation calls for it. Still, we’re understanding, visionary, and just. With the Sun semi-sextile Venus tonight, we may feel that our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt, and perhaps some indecision. Seeking to fulfill both needs without doing so at the expense of the other can help resolve these problems.
The void Moon occurs from 11:30 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to the Sun), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 3:25 PM EST.
NOVEMBER 20
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Aquarius, and we’re attracted to the extraordinary and unconventional. Independence, equality, and freedom are vital to feeling emotionally satisfied with this position of the Moon. We can be enthusiastic and hopeful, playing with exciting ideas and making plans. The Aquarius Moon is earnest, friendly, and principled. With the Moon square Uranus and Mercury, we could be saying the wrong things or misinterpreting one another, perhaps due to impatience. Some emotional detachment can be refreshing as the day advances and the Moon forms a sextile to Mars.
The void Moon occurs from 7:49 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mars), until the Moon enters Pisces tomorrow, Saturday, November 21st, at 11:06 PM EST (a lengthy one!).
NOVEMBER 21
Both Venus and the Sun change signs today: Venus enters Scorpio for a stay until December 15th. It’s a highly emotional and passionate position for Venus. We seek projects, pleasures, and relationships that involve, absorb, or consume us. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our power to others heighten can heighten. We’re especially adept at handling money and resources during this cycle. However, the Sun leaves Scorpio and enters Sagittarius for a transit that lasts until December 21st. Our focus shifts from the need for an intimate connection with a person, project, or ourselves, to the desire to reach out to the world and connect with something larger than ourselves. Although we may be prone to overdoing our expectations, we have the opportunity to nurture our faith, hope, and vision during this cycle. Tonight, the Moon enters Pisces at 11:06 PM EST, and then a First Quarter Moon occurs as the Sun in Sagittarius forms a square with the Moon in Pisces at 11:45 PM EST. There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we become aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error. This can be a time of stress, clashing, and discord, but also of high energy, motivation, and growth.
The Moon continues its void period until 11:06 PM EST when it enters Pisces.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
When the Moon is in Capricorn
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don't want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence--even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
When the Moon is in Aquarius
Attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. This is a time that promotes social gatherings, dealing with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, and progressive changes. We are open to new methods of doing things and we have our eye on the future. It can be hard to stick to schedules now, as personal freedom is most important to us.
The Moon in Aquarius generally favors the following activities: Unusual or radical undertakings, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, joining a group.
When the Moon is in Pisces
We may not want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favors the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues, and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Sun in Sagittarius You’re now embarking on a trek into a land of dreams – not passive daydreams, but vibrant visions of what may be. The time has come to stop looking at the world as it is and asking why. Now’s the time to imagine the world as it could be, and the question has become: “Why not?” You also cannot do everything you imagine now, but you cannot do anything you don’t KNOW you can do – so believe, and dare to make it happen! This means expanding your mind, your belief system, your whole base of knowledge and experience. Time’s a wastin’ – let no grass grow between your toes!
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Mars in Aries Fresh challenges and initiatives light your fires now, as a new cycle begins in your life – lots of energy, a powerful urge to be first, or come out on top. Away with the old and on to the new – let no one and nothing stand between you and your objective! Headstrong impulses and rash courage can take you far … sometimes in harm’s way if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Capricorn Respect, status, and achievement are central goals for you as a new phase begins in your life. Creating a structure to empower and maintain your ideals and principles becomes a high priority, an article of faith. By taking on greater responsibilities of this kind, you become an inspiration to others. Ambition unlimited always ends in defeat.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
