It’s important not to overextend ourselves at this time and to avoid attempting easy fixes or shortcuts. The need to adjust our expectations becomes obvious.

Mars is retrograde from December 6th, 2024, to February 23rd, 2025, in the signs of Leo and Cancer (pre-retrograde shadow began October 4th). We can feel stuck on past relationships or situations, finding it difficult to move ahead.

Slowdowns, reparations, and reconsiderations have been significant with money or ownership matters, personal possessions, comfort or security, and personal income until January 6th.

However, in the 2025 portion of this retrograde cycle, there can be some backtracking and challenges surfacing that relate to anger management, presentation, personal reputation, health, the pursuit of your desires, and self-assertion or courage with Mars retrograde in your sign. Frustration with goals not manifesting soon enough might emerge, when in fact this retrograde period is reliable for making necessary edits to your plans. You may feel less effective before things improve significantly.

It’s not the best period for entering a new relationship or making big purchases, because our sensors regarding love and money are not up to par.
