Mars is retrograde from December 6th, 2024, to February 223rd, 2025, in the signs of Leo and Cancer (pre-retrograde shadow begins October 4th). We can feel stuck on past relationships or situations, finding it difficult to move ahead.

Slowdowns, reparations, and reconsiderations figure strongly now, and these have been most prominent for you in your relationships, and more specifically, partnerships for the 2024 portion of this retrograde cycle–until January 6th, 2025.

In this 2025 portion of the retrograde Mars cycle, slowdowns and complications are more significant with your work, health pursuits, daily routines, and habits. There can be weighty issues and delays to manage related to your job or health care.

We might revisit our past loves–typically in the mind only, but for some, on a physical plane as well. It’s not a good time for major decision-making regarding love, as we might regret our choices later. Think of this time as a process–you need time to allow your heart to catch up with the rest of you, and so do others.

We are called upon to deal with relationship issues from the past. Events occur that seem fated or predestined. It can be a real challenge getting close to a lover during this period. Uranus is the only outer planet that’s actively challenging you most of the year 2025. Interestingly, Uranus is one of your ruling planets. This does mean you’re continuing to do your home life and domestic world differently, and this can be occasionally disruptive, but ultimately liberating.

As well, Pluto is now solidly in your sign, and transformation and reinvention are the themes! It’s a strong time of self-discovery.

Surprises on the home front can sometimes challenge you, but you’re on the road to major improvements. You’re less rigid about traditions or routines.

Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all in a shifting, transitional year. Interestingly, all three planets are heading into a harmonious position relative to your sign. These shifts will ultimately be more comfortable for you.
