The NEW MOON occurs on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, at 7:05 AM EDT.
On Wednesday morning, a New Moon occurs. The New Moon in the sign of Libra starts a good cycle in which to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Scales.
We have a chance to build our negotiating skills without compromising our principles or needs, and without resorting to appeasement. It’s a time to work on re-balancing our relationships and to recognize our partners as teammates rather than adversaries.
With this potent Libra energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives. Some of Libra’s “lessons” involve learning to make peace with those around us, as well as in our environments, establishing a sense of order and balance in our lives, and recognizing the value of partnerships. This is an ideal time to work on these skills.
Libra has an innate ability for, and love of, synthesizing opposites. Peace and harmony are the goals, but there’s a fine balancing act involved along the way that requires some commitment and effort.
This New Moon brings fresh and creative energy into our lives, and more specifically, into our relationships. This is a cycle in which balancing our close personal relationships becomes an urgent desire. Negotiations may be especially effective, as we are inclined to assert our needs in ways that don’t offend others. Its tight alignment with Mars, however, adds more power and energy to our quest.
Still, we can falter on decisions with the quincunx to Uranus. Our efforts to satisfy our desires might, at first, miss the mark, but this gives us a chance to make refinements and recalibrate.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 13 degrees and 25 minutes of Libra, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 9 to 17 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Libra; Mercury is in Libra; Venus is in Scorpio to the 7th, after which Venus is in Sagittarius; Mars is in Libra.
The Sun is in Libra from September 22-October 23. Libra rules relationships with others as mirrors of ourselves. Meeting others halfway, compromise, and negotiation come under the rule of Libra. The focus is now on balance–finding balance and harmony through relationships with others and through art. Libra is the sign of the peacemaker.
However, life is not always peaceful with Libra in its attempt to restore balance. Decision-making can be more challenging while the Sun is in Libra. Libra weighs both sides of any situation, and sometimes this process seems endless! In Libra, the Sun is concerned about not rocking the boat and not rubbing others the wrong way. Tactfulness, style, tolerance, and sociability are some of the keywords for Libra. On the shadow side, Libra can be self-serving, indecisive, passive-aggressive, and superficial.
Mercury is in Libra from August 30-November 5. [This is longer than usual due to Mercury’s retrograde, occuring entirely in the sign of Libra, from September 27-October 18.] When Mercury is in Libra, we are diplomatic and friendly. During this cycle, we bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. It’s a good time to think about ways to improve our negotiation skills.
Mercury in Libra can be vacillating energy as we attempt to see both sides of any given situation. Making quick decisions can be more challenging than usual, as we can sit “on the fence.” We may too easily accommodate others’ opinions to keep the peace. In our negotiations, we don’t want to assert ourselves so as to appear to be the “bad guy.” However, this is a reasonable period for considering others’ points of view. We are more inclined to arrive at fair conclusions.
Venus is in Scorpio from September 10-October 7. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. It’s a highly emotional position for Venus, and it’s passionate energy.
Our relationships are immensely important to us, and we may even feel that they consume us. In fact, we tend to want to be consumed by them! Our drive is toward intense closeness, but blind faith in our partners is extremely hard for us now. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our own power to others are strong. Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result. Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises to feel alive and vital.
Similarly, during this Venus-in-Scorpio cycle, we seek or gravitate to absorbing, deeply engaging, dramatic pleasures, activities, projects, and art. Things that are profound, disturbing, mysterious, or unusual can be more appealing now.
This can be a good time for finances, especially when working with others’ talents or resources, whether as an agent, supporter, or partner.
Venus is in Sagittarius from October 7-November 5. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy shifts from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind.
Romantic adventures and a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are the priorities with Venus in Sagittarius.
We’re idealistic in our relationships during this cycle. It’s more critical than usual that our partners and companions support our dreams, goals, freedom needs, beliefs, and vision. We value intellectual rapport more than usual during this period.
Openness with our feelings can sometimes backfire, but for the most part, it can be refreshing. We tend to more spontaneously enjoy ourselves or throw ourselves into pleasure, art, cultural interests, and special interest topics at this time. We can especially enjoy travel, learning, the outdoors, or animals.
With money, we can be a little reckless or careless, but also faithful and optimistic. Some element of luck or good karma can be involved with our finances. Benefits, whether material or spiritual, can come through publishing, foreign or religious connections, travel, education, or legal matters.
Mars is in Libra from September 14-October 30. We tend to use our charm as a means to an end under the influence of this cycle. Because we can see many different sides to an issue, we can be vacillating and indecisive about how to act. We don’t want to be the “bad guy”, and rarely resort to force. Instead, we attempt to win arguments with style. We are indirect in approach and inclined towards engaging in mental debates, yet we also attempt to make the opposition comfortable! Passive-aggressiveness is the shadow side of this energy.
Jupiter is in Aquarius from December 19th, 2020, to May 13, 2021, and then from July 28 to December 28, 2021. Read more about the Jupiter in Aquarius transit. Jupiter is in Pisces from May 13th to July 28th, when it retreats into Aquarius. Jupiter returns to Pisces on December 28th, 2021. There will be another part to this 3-part act in 2022! Read more about the Jupiter in Pisces transit.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Scorpio from September 10 to October 7. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is a passionate, sensual, and intense energy.
Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises in order to feel alive and vital. If a relationship becomes too settled or predictable, we may crave more intensity and catalytic experience. Jealousies, fears of betrayal, and power games are the shadow side of Venus in Scorpio.
We may easily become obsessed with a fear that our partners might be betraying us, or that they are not as consumed by and dedicated to the relationship as us. This can lead us to try to uncover the “truth”, reading too many negative possibilities in our partners’ actions and words.
Venus is in Sagittarius from October 7 to November 5. As Venus moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy changes from intense to buoyant. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of the Venus-in-Scorpio phase. Truth and higher meaning are focal points for Sagittarius.
Venus in Sagittarius is forward-looking, not very specific, outgoing, and energetic. Freedom is most important in our love relationships now. We take a happy and enthusiastic approach to love, and we might find too much intensity or seriousness depressing. We have a taste for the exotic as well as for adventure with Venus in Sagittarius.
This position’s shadow side is restlessness, the inability to “settle down,” and endless searching for something bigger and “better.”
This week: On Sunday, the 3rd, we can feel a bit insecure or vulnerable emotionally, which could lead to withdrawal. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we might watch for impulsiveness and impatience. Someone may be pushy or crude when we crave something more refined or subtle, or they’re being subtle when we crave a more straightforward approach. Either way, there can be a disconnect.
On Thursday, October 7th, we’re attracted to situations, pleasures, relationships, and people with layers. We tune in to the subtleties of human interaction. Feelings are intense, insistent, and motivating. On Friday and Saturday, Venus forms a semi-square to retrograde Mercury. While we’re not necessarily saying the right things, we’re ready to grow through our missteps or through awkward moments.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Scorpio This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Venus square Jupiter September 30. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships. As well, take what your partner says with a grain of salt. There is no malicious intent involved, but feelings of elation can cloud our judgment, and we can promise more than we can deliver.
Venus semi-sextile Mercury October 1. It may be all too easy to say things we don’t mean/feel.
Venus sextile Pluto October 1-2. Subtly powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions.
Venus semi-square the Sun October 1-2. Irritations that seem to stem from others could be the reflection of our own inner uneasiness. Do your best to control yearnings for more and search for a creative solution for your inner dissatisfaction.
Venus sesquiquadrate Chiron October 2-3. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves.
Venus semi-square Mars October 5-6. Tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging.
Venus parallel Pluto October 7. The desire for drama and intensity in relationships is with us. Love feelings and relationship issues can be all-consuming now, assuming more importance in our lives than usual. Interactions with others are intense now, and themes of sharing and trust dominate in relationships.
Venus semi-square Mercury October 8-9. Communications between lovers are superficial and unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. Superficiality in romantic expression may exist now.
Venus opposition North Node October 9-10. This is a time for reviewing our attachments in terms of whether they are contributing to our growth.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Saturday, October 2nd, from 7:43 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo the next day, Sunday, October 3rd, at 4:38 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, October 5th, from 4:46 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Libra at 8:41 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, October 7th, from 1:03 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 10:22 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, October 9th, from 2:05 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 11:24 AM EDT.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Venus sesquiquadrate Chiron. Blocks to intimacy are possible now as we focus on differences rather than similarities in our relationships with others. We might have a hard time learning from one another as a result.
Sun opposition Chiron. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong, but may be hampered by a lack of confidence or a fear of being different. We may not be seeing eye to eye with others, and lack of faith in our own decisions is likely as well. We might also be so concerned with keeping others happy that we are afraid to assert our own desires.
Mercury trine Jupiter. Looking for meaning in mundane affairs, positive thinking, insights, cooperation–these are themes of this influence. Our ideas are big and our intentions noble. We might receive good news or offers now. We prefer to think about the big picture rather than becoming bogged down with details. This transit favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, accurate diagnoses and observations (all things equal).
Mercury quincunx Neptune. There can be uncertainty and indecision now, as it can be difficult to draw upon intuition or to combine logic and intuition in a cohesive manner. Alternatively, the tendency to daydream can be high, and often at the expense of productivity and clear communication.
Mars quincunx Uranus. Making adjustments to our goals may be necessary now, and this can temporarily drain our energy or make us feel restless and impatient.
Venus semi-square Mars. Potential tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging. Be wary of making impulse purchases. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which need not be difficult. It can be stimulating and invigorating.
Sun quincunx Uranus. Surprise elements make us feel out of control of our lives or the direction we would like to take. Disrupted plans or schedules. Unexpected events or change of plans.
Sun conjunct Mars. This is a vital, dynamic time when we thrive on progress and activity. Our more passionate, aggressive, and courageous natures come to the fore. We are able to creatively solve problems and to instinctively take action when necessary under this influence. Self-assertion is what this transit is about. We are direct and frank, and perhaps short-tempered and impulsive.
Mercury semi-square Venus. Difficulties in social or romantic communication are possible today. On the other hand, we may make more efforts to be polite and to communicate. Hypersensitivity, and lack of mental discipline. Our minds wander.
Mercury conjunct Sun. We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!
Mercury conjunct Mars. This is a good energy for debate or energetic mental work. We may be called upon to make a decision, but it may be a hasty, ill-considered one. We may be argumentative and irritable under this influence, and particularly impatient with vagueness. Be careful to avoid cutting words and aggressive driving. Our minds may be especially clear and active, and this can be a good time to eliminate wasteful activities. This influence excites and over-stimulates the whole nervous system.

OCTOBER 3
Both Venus and the Sun form challenging aspects with Chiron in the first half of the day. With the morning’s Venus-Chiron sesquiquadrate, we can feel a little out of sync on a social level. There is some tendency to keep our emotional distance, and we might tend to focus on differences rather than similarities in our relationships. A Sun-Chiron opposition can have us confronting our insecurities and vulnerabilities through our relationships and interactions. Lack of faith in our own decisions is possible. However, this is also a time to recognize something important about ourselves. With both aspects, we have something to learn from our reactions and sensitivities. Retrograde Mercury returns to form a trine to Jupiter this evening. This aspect first formed on September 20th and will perfect for a third and final time on October 31st. We can return to a previous idea from a new perspective. Mercury in harmony with Jupiter boosts our optimism and faith. We might gain a positive outlook through conversations and a sense of hope or trust in the future. We are seeking out a little extra meaning to our projects and experiences.
The Moon continues its void period until it enters Virgo at 4:38 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 4
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Virgo, and we seek to tie up loose ends and deal with routine matters. This Moon transit draws out our desire to heal, help, and fix. With the Sun in harmony with Ceres today, we seek nourishment from others, and we tend to more naturally support others in turn. We take pride in these efforts today, and our needs and cravings seem to be in harmony. We’re also seeking meaningful or spiritual connections and readily tap into our stores of compassion and imagination. We could feel vaguely discontent until we recognize the need to latch onto something that inspires us.
OCTOBER 5
Today’s Mercury-Neptune quincunx tends to diffuse our concentration or focus. We might waver with uncertainty as it can be challenging to combine logic and intuition cohesively. Or, the tendency to daydream comes at the expense of productivity and clear communication. There can be some mental disorganization to manage. With Mercury retrograde, the chances of error increase further. A dilemma we encountered in mid-September might resurface. The Moon continues its transit of Virgo until 8:41 AM EDT, after with the Moon is in Libra, and we’re looking to build more harmony and balance in our lives, particularly in our relationships. While the Moon’s trine to Saturn this evening is stabilizing, a Mars-Uranus aspect that’s exact tomorrow morning can stir some restlessness tonight. A New Moon will also occur tomorrow morning, and we can feel on the verge of something important. It’s best to wind down at this stage in the lunar cycle, allowing our intuition to guide us.
The void Moon occurs from 4:46 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Libra at 8:41 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 6
The New Moon occurs this morning in the sign of Libra. This is a time to re-balance our relationships and recognize our partners as teammates rather than adversaries. With this potent Libra energy, we have the chance to make valuable changes in our lives. We’re learning to make peace with others and establish a sense of order and balance in our lives. Peace and harmony are the goals, but there’s a delicate balancing act involved along the way that requires some commitment and effort. This New Moon brings fresh and creative energy into our lives, and more specifically, our relationships. It’s a cycle in which balancing our close personal relationships becomes an urgent desire. Even so, the route to peace may be a conflict-ridden one! New beginnings with relationships, negotiations, or contracts can involve some challenges and looking back before moving forward. Both Mars and the Sun form a quincunx to Uranus today (the Sun and Mars are heading toward alignment, exact early on the 8th). We could be dealing with minor changes of plans or a restless urge for change that interferes with the flow. Some fear of change can stop us in our tracks, temporarily. Our efforts to satisfy our desires can miss the mark, but this gives us a chance to make refinements and recalibrate. Today’s Venus-Mars semi-square can add to a tense and competitive environment. This transit has a way of highlighting differences in our approaches, desires, and needs, and tensions in relationships can result. As well, Pluto stations and turns direct today, and there can be inner rumblings as we sense something is coming. Pluto’s direct turn comes now after over five months of retrograde motion (Pluto turned retrograde on April 27th), and its station adds intensity to all we do and feel today and this week. Over the coming weeks, our power to make profound changes in our lives is more externalized, insistent, and direct. We are less likely to brood over changes that we feel were thrust upon us and more likely to take things into our own hands and make necessary changes. For now, we can feel on the fence.
OCTOBER 7
Venus changes signs today, entering Sagittarius for a stay until November 5th. With this transit, romantic adventures and a straightforward and even blunt approach to love are on the agenda. We leave behind complexities and embrace directness and clarity. We take pleasure in seeking truth and higher meaning, and we’re open, sincere, and optimistic with others. While it’s not the best time for care with money, it’s vital for enthusiasm and spirit. The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 10:22 AM EDT, after which the Moon moves into Scorpio, and we’re more inclined to focus and specialize. The Sun and Mars are heading into alignment, exact just a minute into tomorrow. It can be an especially dynamic time when we thrive on activity and progress. Our more passionate, aggressive, and courageous natures come to the fore. We are direct and frank and perhaps short-tempered and impulsive. We should watch for bringing a strong ego to a situation. On the 9th, retrograde Mercury will join this configuration. It’s a mentally busy, excitable, and energetic time. We are enthusiastic about connecting and taking care of problems.
The void Moon occurs from 1:03 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 10:22 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 8
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Scorpio. With this transit, we seek a stronger emotional connection to the world around us or a particular project or person. It’s a time of observation and strategy. The Moon in Scorpio is persistent, passionate, and perceptive. However, the Moon forms a square to Jupiter and opposes Uranus today, and there can be some resistance to our needs and desires. We can feel pulled in different directions or put off by others’ unreliability. Compounding problems, Venus and retrograde Mercury head toward a semi-square, and our words may not reflect what’s in our hearts. As we try to get the words just right, we could fall short with sensitivity. We may be in two minds about a matter–decisions can be hard to come by. Nevertheless, we’re making an extra effort to cooperate.
OCTOBER 9
The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until it heads into Sagittarius at 11:24 AM EDT. Retrograde Mercury aligns with the Sun and then Mars today. We get a unique window into the past as it might impact our future, and it’s a powerful time to process recent events and ideas. We begin looking at problems or issues from a new perspective and with a new understanding. Significant new ideas are born at this time, and they’re likely to have real staying power or importance in our lives. What we say or write now has an impact, for better or for worse! However, we may not have all the facts necessary to reach a definite conclusion, and we might later have to revise some plans or decisions. It can certainly be a time of racing minds and excited thoughts. Keeping busy and making headway satisfies us more than usual today. It will be imperative to channel excess mental energy constructively, or we may feel nervous, impatient, and irritable without a good channel for expressing this energy. We may want to get right to the point so that communications may be on the insensitive side. With Mercury retrograde, we might renew interest in handling an old problem or reviving a past project. A problem from the past can re-emerge now, and we feel driven to take care of it, although it can be challenging to stay centered. We should watch for impatience, snappiness, and impulsive moves and words. Also today, Venus aligns with the true South Node of the Moon, and we are more sensitive to whether or not some connections (or elements of our relationships) support our growth. It’s best to watch for a tendency to fall back on behaviors and indulgences that keep us distant from our true feelings and needs.
The void Moon occurs from 2:05 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 11:24 AM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Libra Meeting yourself in another person is the keynote of a new cycle which begins for you now. Relationships – romantic, business, social – are the arena where this drama is played out. In coming to know the other person, forging ties that bind two people, you come to a better understanding of yourself. It’s easy in theory, but it’s only in practice that it comes to mean anything real – so practice until you get it right!
Mercury in Libra A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Mars in Libra “I’m giving you a definite maybe” – that’s the motto of the cycle you’re now entering. It’s a time of refinement and tact, of an urge to please others that is so strong as to make it hard to decide or act for fear of offending someone. You’ll quickly learn to balance this out, or you’ll discover that there is no peace in compromise – and this can be tough on close relationships. The trick is to find the win-win solution to the no-win situation – and if anyone’s ever up to it, you are now.
Jupiter in Aquarius Innovation, reform, and idealism are your paths to growth and gain now. New, futuristic ideas are part of this, but it’s much more than that: putting them into practice is essential because this is much more than empty idealism. A break from the past, a willingness to flaunt convention.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
