The NEW MOON occurs on Thursday, November 4th, 2021, at 5:14 PM EDT.
On Thursday afternoon, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Scorpio, marking the beginning of a new cycle. It presents an opportune time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Scorpion.
The weeks ahead of this New Moon are good for focusing on some of the constructive traits of the sign of the Scorpion–passionate, resourceful, focused, probing, deep, and perceptive–and consider how to positively develop and incorporate these qualities into our lives.
Scorpio New Moons are especially suitable for working on our self-mastery skills. We may want to pinpoint those things that make us feel out of control, such as addictions and debts, and work on freeing ourselves of these emotional burdens.
This New Moon cycle is also opportune for exploring what is missing in our lives that leads us to engage in these self-destructive behaviors.
This cycle represents an opportunity to rid ourselves of “junk” in our lives–material and spiritual. With this potent Scorpio energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives.
Each sign teaches us valuable things, and one of Scorpio’s “lessons” involves learning to dig deeper into the mysteries around us instead of always being content with the status quo.
Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and meaning.
Scorpio also teaches us that dedication to one meaningful relationship or undertaking can be significantly more satisfying than spreading ourselves around. Here, “quality over quantity” applies.
We might want to use this cycle to focus on and develop one special project or relationship to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives.
It can also be a time to seek ways to release our fear of confrontations and heavy emotional situations. We’re discovering that although they may be uncomfortable, these situations can lead us toward psychological healing.
This lunation is tightly opposite Uranus, and it’s also square Saturn. Intimate relationships need a new approach, and we can see this more clearly now, but our interactions can be counterproductive if we’re functioning on auto-pilot.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 40 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 9 to 17 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
The above chart is excellent for seeing the fundamental influences and chart pattern of this New Moon.

This week: The Sun is in Scorpio; Mercury is in Libra until November 5th, after which Mercury is in Scorpio; Venus is in Sagittarius until November 5th, after which it’s in Capricorn; Mars is in Scorpio.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 23-November 21. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire.” Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio–we want to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair.
Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
We are more likely to prosper through strategy and knowing the value of keeping some things to ourselves at the right times. Efforts to repurpose, recycle, salvage, and transform can be successful. We’re especially successful at organizing, researching, investigating, and analyzing.
While we can be quite controlled with effort, there is some inclination to extremism. We can be drawn to challenges and crises, and we feel compelled to heal, fix, and direct or manage.
Mercury is in Libra from August 30-November 5. [This is longer than usual due to Mercury’s retrograde, occuring entirely in the sign of Libra, from September 27-October 18.] When Mercury is in Libra, we are diplomatic and friendly. During this cycle, we bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. It’s a good time to think about ways to improve our negotiation skills.
Mercury in Libra can be vacillating energy as we attempt to see both sides of any given situation. Making quick decisions can be more challenging than usual, as we can sit “on the fence.” We may too easily accommodate others’ opinions to keep the peace. In our negotiations, we don’t want to assert ourselves so as to appear to be the “bad guy.” However, this is a reasonable period for considering others’ points of view. We are more inclined to arrive at fair conclusions.
Mercury is in Scorpio from November 5-24. When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and arrive at reasonable solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover.
We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations.
Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical yet also intuitive. Thinking is inclined to be one-track-minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Mercury-in-Scorpio isn’t shocked by much, or at least keeps its cool even if surprised. During this cycle, our approach is psychological when analyzing, deciding, and studying or observing. We’re not afraid to go places mentally. We get to the heart of a matter or to the bottom line very quickly, usually through instinct. Our resourcefulness and strategy stand out. We’re competitive.
We can be intrigued by motives and secrets or taboos. It’s not easy to take instruction or someone’s word for it–we have to experience it ourselves to draw conclusions. This position of Mercury is one of the most persuasive. It’s an excellent time to research, investigate, troubleshoot, and work on hunches. If left to observe on our own, we do our best thinking, seeking the hidden layers of a situation.
Venus is in Sagittarius from October 7-November 5. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy shifts from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind.
Romantic adventures and a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are the priorities with Venus in Sagittarius.
We’re idealistic in our relationships during this cycle. It’s more critical than usual that our partners and companions support our dreams, goals, freedom needs, beliefs, and vision. We value intellectual rapport more than usual during this period.
Openness with our feelings can sometimes backfire, but for the most part, it can be refreshing. We tend to more spontaneously enjoy ourselves or throw ourselves into pleasure, art, cultural interests, and special interest topics at this time. We can especially enjoy travel, learning, the outdoors, or animals.
With money, we can be a little reckless or careless, but also faithful and optimistic. Some element of luck or good karma can be involved with our finances. Benefits, whether material or spiritual, can come through publishing, foreign or religious connections, travel, education, or legal matters.
Venus is in Capricorn from November 5, 2021-March 6, 2022. [This is longer than usual due to the Venus retrograde, occurring entirely in the sign of Capricorn, from December 19, 2021-January 29, 2022.] Getting serious about our finances and boosting our relations with business partners and/or co-workers will be easier than usual under this influence. Our talents for creating artistic structure and form are enhanced, and our ability to form connections with people who support our ambitions increases.
We value enduring connections, reliability, and faithfulness. We take expressing our feelings seriously, and we take our time to warm up to others. We generally keep our “cool” in relationships. We’re steadfast and seek genuine, perhaps old-fashioned connections. It’s not a time for PDA, and we can be somewhat guarded and reserved with expressing our feelings or revealing our relationships.
The underdog who works hard can have their time in the sun now. We value slow and steady effort and long-term prospects. Reliability in others is most attractive.
This cycle favors getting along well with higher-ups, conservative business goals and ventures, long-term investments, and matters related to pension.
Mars is in Scorpio from October 30-December 13. In Scorpio, Mars is driven and focused on getting what it wants. We are persevering, single-minded, and strong. The desire to experience our emotional depths, as well as the urge to penetrate the surface of life in order to explore deeper levels of existence, is powerful. We are fascinated with what others tend to repress, and are drawn to experiencing and understanding these things. We are less inclined to avoid important issues now. In some ways, we are attracted to crisis, as we see crisis as transformative and emotionally exciting. We would rather feel extreme emotions than nothing at all, as mediocrity or the “middle road” is felt to be unsatisfying.
Jupiter is in Aquarius from December 19th, 2020, to May 13, 2021, and then from July 28 to December 28, 2021. Read more about the Jupiter in Aquarius transit. Jupiter is in Pisces from May 13th to July 28th, when it retreats into Aquarius. Jupiter returns to Pisces on December 28th, 2021. There will be another part to this 3-part act in 2022! Read more about the Jupiter in Pisces transit.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Sagittarius from October 7 to November 5. As Venus moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy changes from intense to buoyant. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of the Venus-in-Scorpio phase. Truth and higher meaning are focal points for Sagittarius.
Venus in Sagittarius is forward-looking, not very specific, outgoing, and energetic. Freedom is most important in our love relationships now. We take a happy and enthusiastic approach to love, and we might find too much intensity or seriousness depressing. We have a taste for the exotic as well as for adventure with Venus in Sagittarius.
This position’s shadow side is restlessness, the inability to “settle down,” and endless searching for something bigger and “better.”
Venus is in Capricorn from November 5, 2021, to March 6, 2022. Venus in Capricorn is a cycle in which security and stability in our relationships are paramount. We are more cautious with our emotions and somewhat skeptical of both our own feelings and others’ expressions of affection. Longevity is important to us under this influence.
There is a formality to Capricorn that can make personal expressions seem awkward and forced. However, this cycle offers us the opportunity to consider some of the practical issues of our relations and to work on making our partnerships work in the real world. A dose of realism in our personal lives can help us to feel more grounded and secure in the long run.
This week: On Tuesday and Wednesday, we can be a bit flighty with one another, unsure whether we want to be close to someone or we may prefer to be free from ties temporarily. On Friday and Saturday, we’re willing to talk things through and compromise. We’re inclined to believe that clarifications are the key to better compatibility. Sweet talk, clarification of feelings, and making promises are themes.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Venus in Capricorn Marry for money and then learn to love ’em: that’s what your heart tells you now, as a new cycle gets underway in your life. Does that sound cynical? Maybe so – but it does reflect the yearning you feel for security and stability now, and it suggests the kind of compromises you may be willing to make to accomplish these objectives.
Venus square Neptune October 26. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit–a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment.
Venus semi-square Saturn October 27-28. Feelings of isolation, of not getting what we really want, and of not being loved the way we want to be loved can get in the way of pleasant relations with our partners.
Venus sextile Jupiter October 27-28. This aspect generates a happy, friendly, and optimistic attitude. People are a little more outgoing and sociable. Favors travel, education, and culture. Romantic opportunities. Harmony and good will.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus November 2-3. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus sextile Mercury November 5-6. Favors playfulness in love and enhanced communication between partners. Romantic overtures, expressions of love and affection, making new social contacts. This is a time when promises, pledges, and clarifications (usually very positive!) are made in love relationships.
Venus semi-square Jupiter November 14. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships.
Venus square Chiron November 14-15. Not a commitment-friendly transit. We are somewhat fearful of investing ourselves emotionally in a relationship.
Venus trine Uranus November 18-19. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, November 1st, from 1:00 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Libra at 7:11 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, November 3rd, from 6:32 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 8:53 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 5th, from 12:10 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 8:53 PM EDT.
November 2021:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider besides the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying).
The Moon is waning this week, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from approximately 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM EDT on Wednesday, November 3rd, while the Moon is in Libra.
Another shorter window occurs on Friday, November 5th, from approximately 10:30 AM to 12:05 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Scorpio.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury trine Jupiter. Looking for meaning in mundane affairs, positive thinking, insights, cooperation–these are themes of this influence. Our ideas are big and our intentions noble. We might receive good news or offers now. We prefer to think about the big picture rather than becoming bogged down with details. This transit favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, accurate diagnoses and observations (all things equal).
Sun quincunx Chiron. Doubting ourselves and our effectiveness, as well as guilt for not facing important issues, can subtly undermine our confidence under this influence. Self-expression can be choppy and unnatural as a result.
Mercury square Pluto. The tendency to read between the lines with a negative slant is strong during this transit, and can easily stir up trouble. Suspiciousness, making mountains out of molehills, telling others only what we want them to know are possible themes. Mental anxiety or troubles could manifest now. We should try to avoid forcing our ideas on others and strive to maintain an open mind. Compulsive thinking is possible. On the other hand, this influence can suggest the ability to engage in deep, penetrating communication.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus. Unusual attractions (to people and things) can have us acting on a whim. We may deal with freedom versus closeness issues in our relationships. Relationships or finances can be unpredictable. Changes now can create fresh opportunities, however, that can add to our sense of joy and freedom.
Sun opposition Uranus. We want freedom, and we refuse to conform. Our wants are somewhat unstable and changeable. Sudden changes of plans are likely, and could stimulate us to try new approaches and they certainly act to cut boredom. This transit could offer us the drive to do something new, but avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being.
Mercury sextile Venus. It’s easy to make social connections under this influence. This transit favors diplomacy, charm, social graces, negotiations, presentation of ideas, romantic overtures, teaching, business deals, publishing, commerce, public relations, and joint ventures or partnerships. It is often a time when promises and clarifications are made in love relationships.

OCTOBER 31
The Moon continues its transit of Virgo all day, and pouring some of our energy into detailed work may be appropriate. With Venus conjunct Juno, we seek equal, fair, and balanced connections. There can be a stronger inclination towards togetherness and sharing, creating harmony, and sharing power. We may gain an advantage in business or finances or by promoting peace. Mercury and Jupiter head toward a trine, exact very early tomorrow but in very strong influence today. This transit first occurred on September 20th, and while Mercury was retrograde, it happened again on October 3rd. Now, we’re arriving at some helpful conclusions, or information unblocks so we can make a decision. This transit boosts our optimism and faith. We might gain a positive outlook through conversations and a sense of hope or trust in the future. Big-picture thinking benefits us. We are seeking a little extra meaning to our projects and experiences. Our ideas are big, and our intentions noble. We might receive good news or offers now. Curiosity is stimulated.
NOVEMBER 1
The Sun forms a quincunx to Chiron today, and there can be some wavering of confidence. We may doubt our inner guide, and we may face situations that seem to test our vulnerabilities. Some indecision is possible, and self-expression can be choppy and unnatural. We can experience guilt about not dealing with problems head-on. However, managing doubt and guilt today can help clear the path for opportunities. The Moon continues its transit of organized Virgo until 7:11 PM EDT when it moves into balance-oriented Libra. The Libra Moon inclines us to bring more harmony and pleasantness to our lives. We’ll go to great lengths to make things fair and to compromise if needed.
The void Moon occurs from 1:00 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Libra at 7:11 PM EDT.
NOVEMBER 2
Mercury forms a square to Pluto this morning, and we can experience some mental anxiety or pressure. Tense communications can result. We can become obsessed with getting our message across and determined that others agree with our ideas. This aspect may play to our insecurities and fears that we’re not getting all the information we need or that others aren’t respecting our views. We should avoid attempts to force our opinions on others and strive to maintain an open mind. We should strive for healthy skepticism rather than suspicion or paranoia. Obsessive thinking is possible, but with self-awareness and mindfulness, we might engage in in-depth, penetrating communication or think more deeply about a matter. The Moon spends the day in Libra, encouraging fairness, objectivity, and our people skills. Later today, we head toward a minor square between Venus and Uranus, exact early tomorrow. We might feel some discontent with our current pleasures or pastimes, and a change may be satisfying at this time. It’s probably best to tame restlessness or avoid abrupt moves but consider our needs for change and growth.
NOVEMBER 3
The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 8:53 PM EDT, aligning with Mercury this afternoon. With the Moon in Libra, coming to a sense of balance and harmony is important to us. The Moon-Mercury conjunction helps us find common ground and open up the lines of communication. The Moon heads into Scorpio after 8:53 PM, drawing us to transformative and emotionally exciting experiences. We’re interested in discovering deeper truths and motives. With the Moon Balsamic today and most of tomorrow (the New Moon will occur tomorrow afternoon), it’s better to wind down than wind ourselves up.’
NOVEMBER 4
The New Moon occurs in the sign of Scorpio at 5:15 PM EST. In the weeks ahead, we may be working on our self-mastery skills. It’s a fine time to pinpoint the things in our lives that make us feel out of control, such as addictions and debts, and work toward release from these emotional burdens. We may have an opportunity to rid ourselves of excess “junk” in our lives, material or spiritual. We may be moved to dig deeper into the mysteries around us rather than remain content with the status quo. Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy. We might want to use this cycle to develop one special project or relationship to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives. It can also be a time to seek ways to release our fear of confrontations and heavy emotional situations. We’re discovering that although they may be uncomfortable, these situations can lead us toward psychological healing. However, with the New Moon tightly opposing Uranus, we are likely to encounter resistance from others and from within. Unanticipated events may be part of the picture now, mainly through our relationships and the illumination of a different perspective. This energy is rebellious and touchy, especially if we feel constrained. We may need to deal with distractions and feelings of discontent, which could lead us along unexpected tangents. Disruptions now may lead to a desire to explore motivations and understand meanings. Intimate relationships need a new approach, and we can see this more clearly now, but our interactions can be counterproductive if we’re functioning on auto-pilot. The Sun opposing Uranus today can pull up the need to review our desire for more freedom. We are reaching a point of total exposure, especially about autonomy, innovation, and independence issues. Sudden changes of plans are likely, and these could motivate us to try new approaches. The drive to do something new is with us, but we may not have a direction or purpose yet, and it’s best to avoid making hasty decisions.
NOVEMBER 5
Venus and Mercury change signs today, and they head toward a sextile aspect, exact tomorrow. First, Venus moves into Capricorn for an extended stay due to an upcoming retrograde. Venus will transit Capricorn until March 6th, 2021, and within this cycle, Venus will be retrograde from December 19th, 2021, to January 29th, 2022. While Venus is in Capricorn, we get serious about our finances and boost our relations with business partners or co-workers. Our talents for creating artistic structure and form enhance, and our ability to form connections with people who support our ambitions increases. We value enduring relationships, reliability, and faithfulness. We take expressing our feelings seriously, and we take our time to warm up to others. We generally keep our “cool” in relationships under this influence, favoring the practical over the fanciful. Note that Venus was retrograde in Capricorn from December 2013 to January 2014, and we might encounter similar themes in the upcoming retrograde-Venus period from December 2021 to January 2022. During this cycle, we seek truths in all things hidden or undercover. It’s a time to probe, investigate, observe, and focus. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations. Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking tends to be one-track-minded and perhaps obsessive. The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio until 8:53 PM EDT when it moves into Sagittarius.
The void Moon occurs from 12:10 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 8:53 PM EDT.
NOVEMBER 6
Mercury and Venus have just entered new signs, and today, they harmonize via a sextile. We communicate with added warmth and style. The Mercury-Venus sextile brings compromises, agreements, negotiations, and clarification of feelings to the fore. This transit favors diplomacy, charm, social graces, presentation of ideas, romantic overtures, teaching, business deals, publishing, commerce, public relations, and joint ventures or partnerships. We’re inclined to verbalize or analyze our feelings and relationships. The Moon spends the day in Sagittarius, inspiring us to explore and experience. This transit sparks our desire to learn and discover, and a change of scenery or break in the routine appeals.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues, and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Mercury in Libra A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Mars in Scorpio Tear it down and build it up again, reach in and pluck out the offending element: that’s what the new cycle you have entered is like. Power becomes a compelling idea, perhaps even an aphrodisiac – and you’ve got a stronger than usual supply of it now. Use it, don’t abuse it – or you might find that it’s a two-edged sword!
Jupiter in Aquarius Innovation, reform, and idealism are your paths to growth and gain now. New, futuristic ideas are part of this, but it’s much more than that: putting them into practice is essential because this is much more than empty idealism. A break from the past, a willingness to flaunt convention.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
