Moon Capricorn-Moon Aries
Your instinctive emotional responses, habitual feelings, emotional tone, and ways of coping with challenges are very different. Aries’s initial response is often impatience. Aries takes a positive, enthusiastic stance and wants to “do battle” with challenges. Capricorn tends to withdraw in order to formulate a strategy for dealing with the problem. Capricorn downplays the feelings and emotions evoked by the situation, focusing instead on “what needs to be done” – the concrete aspects of the situation.
Aries is spontaneous and direct in expressing desires and feelings; Capricorn is careful and controlled, often quite subdued. Aries tends to be a bit self-centered, and expects personal rewards, whereas Capricorn often feels undeserving of pleasure, comfort or the fulfillment of desires. Capricorn instinctively feels that hard work will be necessary to achieve anything (emotional satisfaction or personal ambitions). Aries instinctively believes “I can”. Capricorn is a doubter, and this can be a problem between you. Positively, Capricorn can help Aries gain some emotional distance and detachment from irritating situations, because Aries tends to take everything personally and Capricorn does not. Aries can open up Capricorn to more spontaneous reactions to life.
Both of you are also rather emotionally self-sufficient and enjoy times to yourself. On an emotional level, Aries tends to react first and think later, while the opposite is true of Capricorn!

Moon Capricorn-Moon Taurus
Material security and order in your practical affairs is essential to both of you. You may rely a great deal on money for a sense of emotional well-being, or even substitute material gifts for emotional sharing and affection (Capricorn is particularly prone to this).
Both of you are dependable and responsible in close relationships, and you appreciate this very much in one another. You harmonize well together, though there are significant differences in your temperaments.
Capricorn is hardworking, serious about ambitions, and is a self-disciplined and self-denying person to whom spontaneous play and frivolity don’t come naturally. A strong, self-sufficient person (at least on the outside), Capricorn has trouble accepting “childish” emotional needs and feelings in general. Capricorn seeks to prove personal worth through accomplishment and by achieving success in material terms. Taurus, too, is a practical person, but has a strong pleasure-loving , comfort-loving, easy-going side that borders on laziness at times. Taurus enjoys the things worked for, and can help Capricorn do so, too. Taurus also expresses affection and sensuality more readily than Capricorn, and can help Capricorn open up in this way.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Gemini
Though very different, the two of you can complement one another. Capricorn is serious, disciplined, and conscientious almost to a fault. Practical and dutiful, Capricorn has a strong need to achieve, and becomes self-condemning and unhappy if not accomplishing enough. Overwork or an over-emphasis on obligations can take all of the fun out of life for Capricorn. Gemini, on the other hand, has a mischievous sense of humor and can lighten Capricorn’s mood considerably.
In contrast to Capricorn, Gemini may also be irresponsible and careless, which annoys Capricorn. Gemini just doesn’t take everything as seriously as Capricorn does.
In your relationship, Gemini may play the role of the adolescent (lively, playful, but uncommitted or lacking direction), while Capricorn plays the mature, responsible adult.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Cancer
Your instinctive emotional responses and your temperaments are very different and, in fact, quite opposite much of the time.
Cancer is emotional, tender, sentimental, easily swayed by moods and appeals to sympathy. The need to be deeply connected, a desire to be taken care of and/or a need to be needed are very strong in Cancer. Caring and closeness are of primary importance to Cancer.
Capricorn is as committed and loyal in relationship as Cancer is, but Capricorn is uncomfortable feeling or expressing softness, neediness, vulnerability, and emotion in general.
Capricorn has a certain crustiness and emotional distance, which seems cool or cold at times. Personal emotional needs are often ignored or put aside in favor of work, practical responsibilities and duties. Capricorn eschews dependency or “babyishness”, expecting capable, responsible, no-nonsense behavior at all times. Highly demanding of self and others, Capricorn often neglects the playful, feeling, childlike side of life.
Cancer’s emotionality and neediness often conflicts with Capricorn’s emotional detachment and dry realism. Secretly, however, Capricorn needs tenderness as much as anyone, though admitting that and asking to be held or comforted is very hard for Capricorn to do. Cancer’s softness is much needed and appreciated by Capricorn.
And Cancer, though sometimes frustrated by Capricorn’s inexpressiveness or unresponsiveness, is also drawn to Capricorn’s strength and emotional stability.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Leo
Capricorn’s essentially sober, conservative, and cautious disposition contrasts with Leo’s exuberant, generous, dramatic temperament. Leo’s tastes are lavish, bold, and colorful, while Capricorn prefers a subdued, simple, quietly elegant style.
Whereas Capricorn downplays emotions and emotional displays, Leo often exaggerates them. Like a child, Leo is eager for attention, love, praise, and recognition from others, while Capricorn, ever the adult, rarely admits needing people in that way. Capricorn is, or appears to be, more self-sufficient emotionally. While Leo is usually quite warm and personable, Capricorn is frequently detached, formal, and businesslike with people. For Capricorn, sharing is shown by dedication and faithfulness or by practical assistance – “actions, not words”, and Leo sometimes craves more warm attention from Capricorn.
Also, Leo is more of an optimist by nature, whereas Capricorn tends towards pessimism or at least a clear-eyed realism. Leo’s cheerfulness can lighten Capricorn’s mood when Capricorn becomes too serious (which is frequently).
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Virgo
You understand one another very well, for you have very similar temperaments, and your responses to people and to situations are quite similar. Both of you are practical and hard-working, with a strong need to be useful and productive, and to accomplish something concrete. Work, responsibilities, or business come before pleasure and play for both of you, and you may neglect your emotional needs. You downplay feelings and desires that seem childish or unrealistic.
Both of you have a strong need for material security, and very much prefer a safe, logical, and well-defined path, rather than taking risks.
You are responsible in your dealings with others. In fact, you share a tendency to be overly conscientious, to expect too much from yourselves, and to be far too harsh with yourselves at times.
Faithfulness and constancy in love and friendship are very important to you both, and you naturally feel very comfortable together, knowing you can trust one another to be reliable.
Sometimes your relationship may become dry – all work and no play. You both need to relax more, and to pay more attention to your fun-loving, emotional side.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Libra
Libra is a warm, affectionate person who needs people, especially a very close, loving partner to share life with. Conversation, companionship, togetherness, and being half of a tight couple are very important to Libra. Capricorn is often emotionally reserved, and not emotionally available, responsive, or affectionate enough to suit Libra. Libra is rather dependent on friends or a mate, while Capricorn is more self-sufficient emotionally, or is afraid of neediness, dependency and emotional vulnerability. Libra finds security in personal relationships, while Capricorn finds it in work, accomplishment, and material success. Capricorn, in fact, takes life seriously and tends to work more than necessary, while Libra is more balanced and wants to spend time socializing or relaxing more than Capricorn does.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Scorpio
Both of you are quiet and you often don’t express all that you are feeling, but the reasons for this are quite different in each of you.
Capricorn tends to repress feelings, emotional needs, and the inner child who wants to play and to be taken care of. Practical matters, work, and responsibilities take precedence over play and pleasure, and desires which are “too childish” or “unrealistic” are downplayed. Capricorn often keeps an emotional distance and will not get emotionally involved. Frequently Capricorn seems impassive, unresponsive, or emotionally detached, and has a habit of taking life too seriously. Material security and success can become a substitute for emotional well-being and happiness.
Scorpio, on the other hand, is intensely emotional, though very private and secretive about feelings. Scorpio is deep, complex, given to silent brooding, and often harbors unspoken feelings for a long time. Resentments, guilts, and secret fears can build up to tremendous proportions if not shared and released.
Neither of you trusts others very readily and you are both afraid of being vulnerable or not in control. This can prevent you from opening up completely to one another. You are both capable of great depth, fidelity, and constancy in a relationship, and neither of you is superficial emotionally. For this reason you can be harmonious together.

Moon Capricorn-Moon Sagittarius
Your emotional needs and deeply ingrained attitudes toward life are somewhat at odds with each other. Capricorn is a sober realist who tends towards cynicism and pessimism at times. Capricorn’s security lies in work, accomplishment, and having a solid material foundation. Feelings of self-doubt often limit what Capricorn is willing to aim for. Fears of poverty or financial ruin may drive Capricorn to work excessively also. Highly responsible and conscientious, Capricorn tends to take life too seriously and puts business or duty before pleasure.
Sagittarius, on the other hand, is essentially an optimist with an innate faith in life, a Higher Power, or simply in good luck, which gives Sagittarius the confidence to take risks that Capricorn just doesn’t feel safe or comfortable taking. Capricorn chooses a well-defined, secure, path over one that involves a lot of unknowns. Sagittarius craves adventure, and exploring the unknown is a very real and legitimate need of Sagittarius’s. Sagittarius needs to soar in some way (either literally, intellectually, or spiritually) while Capricorn needs to have both feet planted firmly on earth.
Also, Capricorn has good focus and concentration and the ability to persevere through difficult or dry periods, while Sagittarius is often impatient and flighty. Sagittarius can be too lax, careless, and irresponsible at times. Sagittarius wants to have a good time and sometimes that’s all Sagittarius wants!
Capricorn is inclined to make a commitment in a relationship and wants a firm commitment in return, while Sagittarius shies away from anything that will restrict freedom of movement and self-expression too much.
Positively, Sagittarius’s humor and light touch can help Capricorn not to worry so much, and Capricorn’s realism can ground Sagittarius and temper Sagittarius’s impractical enthusiasms.

Moon Capricorn-Moon Capricorn
Because your emotional natures and deeply ingrained attitudes are so similar, you understand one another very well, but you also share and reinforce one another’s bad habits.
Both of you have a sober, realistic, and at times cynical or pessimistic attitude towards life. Work, concrete accomplishment, and material assets give you a sense of security, and you can easily become too immersed in work-related responsibilities, neglecting your home life and your own needs for relaxation, play, and sustaining close emotional ties with others. Both of you are ambitious and you are often hard on yourselves if you do not achieve enough.
Showing feelings of vulnerability, neediness, or sentimentality, even to those closest to you, does not come easily to you. You can seem emotionally distant and inaccessible to others. You express caring more by being faithful and constant and doing something concrete (like shouldering financial responsibilities) for the people you love.
Emotional caution, self-control, seriousness, and a tendency to expect and prepare for the worst are ingrained emotional habits of yours.
Both of you would benefit by learning to trust, to laugh (playfully, not cynically or ruefully), and to be kinder to yourselves.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Aquarius
Your emotional needs and deeply ingrained attitudes are often at odds. Aquarius has a very independent nature, and resists being dictated to by Authority, society, convention, or custom. The urge to break from the past, embrace the new and different, and to change things is part of Aquarius’s makeup. Capricorn, on the other hand, cherishes tradition and is far more cautious about venturing into unknown territory or changing the standard, tried-and-true ways of doing things. Aquarius tends toward contemporary, progressive, or “alternative” ways of doing things. Capricorn is conservative and respects the time-honored, proven ways. Even if Capricorn is philosophically liberal, emotionally there is a very cautious, conservative element that is disinclined to take risks in either emotional or spiritual ways.
Also, Aquarius craves freedom and will never be completely domesticated or possessed, while Capricorn is very responsible, dedicated, and committed, and may not fully appreciate Aquarius’s free spirit.
Both of you can have difficulty letting your feelings and emotions flow. Aquarius intellectualizes rather than feels, and is often unaware of emotional needs (in self or others). Capricorn also represses emotions and is afraid of being vulnerable or dependent.
Compatibility Rating: (See color codes below)
Moon Capricorn-Moon Pisces
Your temperaments, moods, and emotional responses are very different.
Pisces is very, very sensitive and responds emotionally and sympathetically to people while Capricorn is emotionally detached and often distant or inaccessible. Pisces tends to be a bleeding heart, while Capricorn tends to be somewhat suspicious or hard toward people who are in unfortunate circumstances – Capricorn doesn’t want to get involved unless they are friends. Capricorn also ignores or downplays emotions in general, and has a rather serious, sober, no-nonsense attitude towards life. Pisces is a bit of a dreamer or drifter and is far less practical, organized, efficient, and ambitious about material matters than Capricorn is. Pisces may sometimes long for more empathy, affection, and softness from Capricorn.
