Virgo (Born August 23 to September 23*) – 0 to 30 degrees Virgo:
2019: Virgo Horoscope: Love, Career, & General Trends
The year ahead is both stimulating and stabilizing, dear Virgo. While Neptune continues to oppose your sign this year, suggesting some lack of direction, you have several outer planets in supportive aspect, including ambitious Pluto, steady and practical Saturn, and exciting Uranus.
Chiron leaves its challenging aspect to your sign this year, too, and while it doesn’t flow along with you, there is less pressure on you to find yourself through your relationships. This takes some of the pressure off relationships themselves, although you might continue to hold some high expectations of them. You’re in a fabulous position to hone a creative talent or skill and to explore new and exciting topics or lines of study. You’re also discovering new ways of expressing yourself that feel right.
Until December, you’re in a terrific position to improve your home and family life. This can be about moving or upgrading your living conditions and arrangements, or simply finding more pleasure and joy in your domestic world. You are less inclined to want to move about beyond your own familiar environment, taking comfort in and deriving pleasure from being somewhat of a homebody. Mind you, Uranus moves into your adventure sector from March forward, and this can excite your senses, stimulating interest in enjoying some new adventures, whether on the physical or mental plane (or both).
You’re opening your mind to new ideas and concepts, and opening your heart to new experiences and ways of approaching your life with this long-term transit that supports your efforts to make small, meaningful changes. It’s a robust period for sharing your ideas, travel, publishing, higher education, and alternative beliefs.
While there has been a lot of (and very necessary) attention to your personal life, a romance, or creative endeavors again this year, the eclipses and the North Node of the Moon’s transit encourages you to reach out to others, include them in your plans, gain support from friends and give back to them, a group, or the community. It’s a time for gaining more perspective and balance.
Neptune continues to transit your partnership sector, and since it’s such a long-term transit, it continues to be a time of trial and error as you explore your expectations of others and wrestle with some tendency to project your ideals on others. This year, you’re less likely to allow your relationship goals interfere with your seeking of fulfillment in other areas of life. Let relationship goals inspire you to better yourself for best results – you get support for this as Saturn and Neptune form a harmonious aspect most of the year.
The year is potentially brilliant for your creativity. You’re exploring new ways of expressing yourself and your self-confidence improves as you pull out of yourself and greet the world with more positivity. Your desire is to make a mark. At the same time, you may be embracing the reality that you need more structure in your creative world in order to advance your skills. There is a dance involved with this – finding the right balance between structure and spontaneity is within your reach this year. The last week of August through to the end of September is a brilliant period for personal opportunities as a planetary lineup forms in your sign.
Your innate flexibility and adaptability are in stronger form in 2019. More than usual, you don’t want to be told what to think, and you’re inclined to explore and experiment with new ideas and concepts. At the same time, you are expanding your inner life and domestic world, making serious improvements to your living conditions and family relationships.
Key Events in 2019 for Virgo:
Outer Planet Transits:
Jupiter square Neptune from January to September. We are looking for new sources of inspiration, but we have the tendency to latch onto impractical dreams or plans to remedy the situation. For you, Virgo, uncertainties related to a partnership or relationship status can seem to interfere with domestic pursuits. Try not to let some life departments take over to the point that other areas of your life suffer.
Helping you out with this, however, is:
Saturn sextile Neptune from January to November. This reinforcing aspect assists in grounding us. It can be a fabulous help, even if it’s a rather subtle influence. This aspect reminds you to balance spiritual and material pursuits. While there continue to be important life lessons, restrictions, and hard work related to relationships, creative pursuits, children, or hobbies, you’re finding outlets for any stress or tension in these areas or a better sense of balance now. Partnerships may not clarify this year, but you’re committed to what you’re doing, and you can better compartmentalize. It’s a fine time for attending to both the practical and romantic sides of your relationships.
Also this year:
Saturn conjunct South Node (April to September) and Pluto conjunct South Node (April). Difficulties are possible related to attempts to hang on to old habits or intense or demanding projects and even relationships that may be preventing you from growing, improving, and thriving, enjoying your social life, group connections, networking, and causes or connections with your community. You may be sticking with the familiar only for fear of change, and this is a tendency you should watch.
Uranus trine Jupiter in December. This happens near the end of the year in Earth signs. In your solar chart, we find Earth signs in your expressive and creative sectors, and the major benefits of this aspect come to your personality and creative worlds. It’s about innovation, progress, new technology, methods, or approaches, and it’s a positive development!
This can be a powerful time for freeing yourself of restrictions, particularly on self-expression. You’re likely to explore new ways of expressing yourself creatively. Thinking outside of the box is especially beneficial now – innovative ideas are coming to you. You are sharing and communicating in engaging ways. This is also an especially strong time for connecting with others romantically and/or creatively. Some of you could meet a fun friend or a romantic interest through travel, higher education, or other activity that involves breaking the regular routine.
Significant minor transits:
Venus conjunct Jupiter — twice! On January 22 and November 24th…and this happens in your home and family sector both times, making this a special time for improving your personal life, particularly with a focus on beauty, harmony, and pleasure in the home or with family.
Mars conjunct Uranus in late Aries on February 12-13. This occurs shortly before Uranus leaves your intimacy sector for good, making it a powerful period for moving on from an unstable period related to your intimate life, financial situation, or support.
Sun conjunct Uranus in early Taurus on April 22 and Venus conjunct Uranus in Taurus on May 18. Now that Uranus is consistently in your adventure and spirit sector, these transits can get the ball rolling with change and progress with education, beliefs, mental outlook, and sense of adventure or spirit for living life to the fullest.
Sun conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn on December 25-27th. An opportunity period for romance, creativity, children, and self-expression.

Overview: Harmony and Challenge of Outer Planets:
A Saturn-Neptune influence this year is particularly helpful for you in 2019, Virgo, since Neptune is really the major stressor in your life currently, and this helps balance it out just a little as Saturn stabilizes things a little. Yes, there remains some uncertainty brought on by Neptune’s opposition to your sign and its transit of your partnership sector, but Saturn is helping Neptune out, offering some steadiness, practicality, and common sense to the equation.

From December forward, you enter a power period for creativity and romance.
