Full Moon
The FULL MOON occurs on Saturday, September 14th, 2019, at 12:33 AM EDT.
Early Saturday, the Full Moon occurs as the Sun in Virgo forms an opposition to the Moon in Pisces. The Virgo-Pisces polarity is the service axis, and it deals with the balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces). Virgo rules our personal set of tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools that we use to deal with our spirituality.
The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or in excessive order. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This Full Moon occurs shortly after the Sun aligns with Mars and the Moon aligns with Neptune. Mars and Neptune are tightly opposite one another. It also occurs when Venus and Mercury form a conjunction, and this lunation harmonizes with Pluto. This is a potent, confusing, intense, and revealing time. Our discoveries and epiphanies are exciting and passionate, but we may also deal with overblown expectations at this time. It’s important to watch for fantasies taking over.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 21 degrees and 5 minutes of Pisces, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 17 to 25 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Virgo; Mercury is in Virgo until the 14th, when it enters Libra; Venus is in Virgo until September 14th, after which Venus is in Libra; Mars is in Virgo.
The Sun is in Virgo from August 23-September 23. Our focus shifts to the pieces of the puzzle–the little details of our lives. It is now time to take care of practical concerns. Tending to the details of everyday life may not sound like loads of fun, but it can certainly free us from unnecessary stress that results from “collecting” odds and ends of unfinished business. This is an ideal time to get organized, to do detail work, and to improve communications on the job.
Mercury is in Virgo from August 29-September 14. When Mercury is in Virgo, we value precision in speech, thought, and process. This is a time when we analyze and discriminate between what we deem useful or impractical. Mercury feels right at home in Virgo, one of the signs that it rules. Dealing with details is natural and easy now. We need to be careful that we don’t lose perspective if we find ourselves lost in details. We should also be aware of the possibility of expressing ourselves in an overly factual manner, so much so that we come across as dry, critical, or unimaginative.
Mercury is in Libra from September 14-October 3. A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Venus is in Virgo from August 21-September 14. This is a time when we express our love through practical means and gestures–running errands, doing detail work, or just being there for our lovers. Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. Virgo is an Earth sign, which is sensual but also quite practical. Besides our romantic natures, what we decide to buy and the types of entertainment we enjoy during this cycle are ruled by whether or not things make sense. We could easily feel guilty if we are too self-indulgent at this time. Rendering services to others can fill a need and can be an expression of love. The shadow side of this position is being overly critical of our partners, picky, or worrisome.
Venus is in Libra from September 14-October 8. As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Mars is in Virgo from August 18-October 4. In Virgo, Mars is somewhat of a workhorse. We have a passion for details, as well as a need to do the right thing at just the right time under this influence. The satisfaction of a job well done is one of your greatest incentives now. We are more precise and concerned about performance.
Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 8th, 2018, and transits the sign until December 2nd, 2019. Read more about the Jupiter in Sagittarius transit.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus first transited Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and is now consistently in the sign (since March 6th, 2019) until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Virgo from August 21 to September 14, 2019. This is a time when we express our love through practical means and gestures–running errands, doing detail work, or just “being there” for our lovers. Essentially, we fuss over our partners, sometimes a little too much! Our availability and accessibility is a sign of love. Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. Virgo is an Earth sign, which is sensual but also quite practical. We could easily feel guilty if we are too self-indulgent during this cycle. We can be a little shy and prone to worry. We pick up on many different cues, attempting to analyze every detail of our lovers’ reactions and responses. We could worry ourselves sick agonizing over details! In the process, we can miss out on the bigger and perhaps more meaningful cues. As well, Virgo is a sign that can live very much in the mind in the middle of an experience, failing to enjoy the moment. Self-consciousness can get in the way of enjoyment. Rendering services to others can fill a need and can be an expression of love. The shadow side of this position is being overly critical of our partners, picky, or worrisome.
Venus is in Libra from September 14 to October 8, 2019. Venus rules Libra and thus is dignified in the sign. Venus feels right “at home” in Libra, where she seeks to balance and harmonize. With Venus in Libra, we can easily be in love with love. We are more comfortable with a close partner with whom we can seek to have a balanced relationship. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want. Although Venus in Libra virtually lives for relationships, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. We prefer things be done the “right” way, and are turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. The shadow side of this position is dependency, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so!
This week: From Thursday forward, we tend to want to quantify or analyze our relationships. We’re especially polite although perhaps too intellectual at this time.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Virgo August 21-September 14. If it makes sense you love it, and if it doesn’t you feel guilty about it: that’s what it’s like now. Loving attention to details and a sense of satisfaction in doing what is right (especially with respect to your health) are some of the qualities that come to the fore at a time like this.
Venus in Libra September 14-October 8. As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Venus trine Pluto September 6. Powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions. Relationships are intense and deep, but not draining.
Venus parallel Chiron September 6-7. Healing energy is brought to love relationships, and a new cycle begins. A commitment-friendly transit. Love can heal old wounds. We are open to romantic feelings, and more willing to act upon them. This is a good time to make a resolution to repair, heal, and improve relationships.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus September 6-7. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus conjunct Mercury September 12-13. Favors playfulness in love and enhanced communication between partners.
Venus contra-parallel Mercury September 15. Interactions bring up questions. We tend to analyze our feelings and relationships.
Venus opposition Chiron September 17. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves. Our relationships may open up some inner wound.
Venus quincunx Uranus September 18-19. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, freedom vs. intimacy issues. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships, or whether we need freedom from them, yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
Venus contra-parallel Mars September 23. Passions are stimulated and intense. There’s a fine line between love and hate. Competitiveness. Questions are raised or ultimatums made.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, September 9th, from 4:31 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 5:24 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, September 11th, from 1:23 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Pisces the next day, Thursday, September 12th, at 5:52 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, September 14th, from 12:33 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to the Sun), until the Moon enters Aries at 6:32 PM EDT.
September 2019:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on the 14th and is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). The Moon is waning after the Full Moon on the 14th, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, again with exceptions!
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs from Sunday, September 8th at approximately 1:15 PM EDT, to Monday, September 9th, at approximately 4:30 AM EDT while the Moon is in Capricorn. This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Sun square Jupiter. We may feel vague restlessness and discontent with life as it is. We want more, but perhaps too much. Overestimation and exaggeration. Elevated moods, but unstable ones, as they may not be based on reality. Channeled well, this energy can represent creative power.
Mercury trine Pluto. Our mental faculties are attuned to otherworldly impressions, offering us increased insight, psychological understanding and awareness, and focused attention.
Mars trine Saturn. Work takes on definite shape, and we can see results from our efforts. This gives us a sense of responsibility and a feeling of directedness and purposefulness. This is a good time to temper our energy and to exercise better judgment. A good time to get and feel organized. Seniority is favored now. Traditional methods work, and thoroughness brings rewards.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Uranus. We can have flashes of insight but tend to be scatterbrained. Our ideas and communications may not be well-received because they don’t seem to others to carry weight. Our minds are not peaceful or harmonious under this influence, and irritable tempers, sarcastic speech, and dogmatism are negative expressions of this energy. However, fresh and creative ideas may come to us now.
Sun opposition Neptune. It’s easy to get lost in fantasy at this time, as we feel somewhat directionless and less able to face everyday realities. Willpower is low. Not a good time for any financial undertaking or formal agreement.
Mars square Jupiter. Although we may have much enthusiasm for life and for new projects, over-confidence and over-estimation of what we can do is likely. We can be impatient if the results of our efforts don’t materialize right away, and we can also be too focused on what we think should be and lose sight of what is possible. We are ready and willing to fight for our beliefs. We may be excitable and competitive. Jumping ahead without considering the consequences is the inclination, but can be costly. This energy is also associated with lawsuits or struggles involving differences in personal philosophies and principles. A feeling of urgency may make us come on stronger than we intend. The inclination towards taking risks is strong, and patience is short.
Mercury conjunct Venus. Lighthearted conversations, sociability, humor, cooperation. Good time for socializing and for communicating with ease, telling others how we feel, and negotiating. Mentally, we’re not as disciplined as usual, as we prefer to chat with others and to think about more “pleasant” things than work. Generally favorable for commerce.
Sun trine Pluto. We are able to get to the bottom of things now. We are more decisive than usual, and our abilities to concentrate and focus help us achieve what we set out to do. Endurance, the power to achieve, an opportunity to draw upon our past and to capitalize on resources, and strategy are all themes of this influence. This is a very positive aspect for starting a money-making endeavor (all things equal) or a new project. Leadership skills are in focus and strong. We are more able to connect with others in terms of shared goals and interests. The focus now is on eliminating negative or superficial elements in our lives.
Mars opposition Neptune. This can be a confusing, devitalizing, and discouraging time. It seems that whatever we try to do goes nowhere or gets lost in a haze of misunderstanding. Taking time off, working quietly, or doing something primarily for the benefit of others without concern for personal gain is favored at this time. Disorganization, lack of drive, lack of forethought, impracticality, and carelessness characterize this energy. Energy and time are too easily wasted. Passive-aggressiveness. It’s hard to know what we want and where we’re headed under this influence.
Sun sesquiquadrate Uranus. During this transit, we feel the need for action, but if we don’t know where we’re headed, we might take the wrong turn. Unexpected changes in plans or events can test our patience, and we might feel a bit out of control. However, they could stimulate us to try new approaches and they certainly act to cut boredom. This transit could offer us the drive to do something new, but avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being.

SEPTEMBER 8
While the Moon is in practical Capricorn and aligns with serious Saturn this morning, a Sun-Jupiter square influencing the first half of the day can stimulate impulsiveness. We should watch for trying to reach too far–overestimating our energy levels or the time we would need to invest in a commitment if we were to take it on. We may be glossing over potential problems, and judgment can be off as a result. As the day advances, however, Mercury forms a trine to Pluto, and Mars and Saturn head toward a trine aspect–two strengthening aspects, particularly for work, health, and organization or practical affairs. We’re in good shape for more profound insight, psychological understanding and awareness, and focused attention. We seek out the hidden message now. It’s a good day for formulating strategies and making observations. We are especially good at solving problems and getting to the bottom line. We’re also paying more attention to traditional or tried and true methods and pacing ourselves. Being thorough in our efforts makes sense now.
SEPTEMBER 9
A Mercury-Uranus challenge can point to hastiness drawing conclusions or making decisions today. We can have flashes of insight but tend to be scatter-brained or inattentive to practical details. We can have a hard time settling our minds, and there can be short tempers. However, fresh and creative ideas may come to us now — we simply need to take the time to bring everything down to earth. It can be challenging to stay or get grounded today, however, with the Sun and Neptune heading toward an opposition, exact early tomorrow. With this transit, it can be exceptionally easy to get lost in fantasy as we feel somewhat directionless and not very up to facing everyday realities. The tendency to glamorize others or to put people on a pedestal can cause problems now, and this can extend beyond people to situations and objects. This is a time for seeking a better balance between action and reflection. We’ve been paying more attention to service to others and our physical health, and we may need to take a step back for spiritual refreshment. We are more sensitive and vulnerable under this influence, but also quite prone to misperceiving people or situations. We might watch for projecting our unrealized dreams or wishes onto others. The Moon continues its transit of Capricorn until 5:24 PM EDT, after which it transits Aquarius.
The void Moon occurs from 4:31 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 5:24 PM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 10
The Sun’s opposition to Neptune perfects this morning. Willpower is low. This is not a good time for major financial undertakings or formal agreements. The tendency to glamorize situations or to put people on a pedestal can cause problems now. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Aquarius, and we thrive on intellectual stimulation, progress, and unusual or unconventional experiences. There is good energy with us for a team effort. Some emotional detachment can be refreshing now. The Sun forms a parallel to Chiron today, and we’re opening ourselves to learning, growing, and improving.
SEPTEMBER 11
With a Mars-North Node sextile today, we’re motivated to grow, improve, and pursue our desires. Challenges or some light competitiveness motivate us. We have the chance to reassess our goals and realign ourselves with our purpose. There is a sense that we’re heading in the right direction or that we want to take steps to grow and improve. New opportunities are there if we look for them to help us achieve our desires. Even so, we tend to overdo or jump into action too hastily today as Mars and Jupiter head toward a square aspect. We’re easily riled up, enthusiastic, or excited under this influence. Be watchful of making too much of a matter that doesn’t deserve the attention. We can be excited about our prospects, but perhaps too hasty, counting our chickens before they hatch, putting money into a venture that needs further review, or overestimating what we (or the world) can do. We may be so focused on what we think should be and lose sight of what is possible. A feeling of urgency may lead to coming on stronger than we intend. However, if we use common sense, this is a good time to stretch our imaginations and to entertain new possibilities. The Moon continues its transit of Aquarius until 5:52 AM EDT, after which the Moon is in Pisces.
The Moon is void from 1:23 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Pisces the next day, Thursday, September 12th, at 5:52 AM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 12
Mars perfects its square to Jupiter this morning, and the temptation to overdo, overexert, overstate, and so forth, can be in strong force now. We can be excitable and competitive under this influence, ready to fight for what’s fair. This energy is also associated with lawsuits or struggles involving differences in personal philosophies and principles. The inclination towards taking risks is strong, and patience is short. We can be impatient if the desired results of our efforts don’t materialize right away, which can lead to pushing things too hard or too soon. The Moon spends the day in Pisces, encouraging the need for inspiration and imagination. Mercury and Venus are heading toward alignment, and we’re inclined to analyze our feelings and ask questions. It’s an excellent time to talk about or quantify our feelings and reach agreements or negotiate with others.
The Moon continues its void period until it enters Pisces today at 5:52 AM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 13
Mercury and Venus align today, and lighthearted conversations, sociability, humor, and cooperation are in focus. It’s a good time for socializing and for communicating with ease, telling others how we feel, and negotiating. Mentally, we’re not as disciplined as usual, as we prefer to chat with others and to think about pleasant things. We may be intellectualizing feelings. This is a cooperative influence that stimulates our desire for harmony and balance so that we may not dig too deeply. We’re more diplomatic than usual, considering others’ ideas and points of view. While there is often superficiality or skimming the surface of things with this aspect, the Sun in Virgo trines Pluto today, encouraging intensity. In fact, delving deeply into a matter can be satisfying and rewarding. We’re exceptionally resourceful and efficient. It’s a strong time for gravitating towards things, people, and situations that help us to succeed or advance our goals. Shared goals and interests connect us with others. The focus now is on eliminating harmful elements in our lives and going forward with more conviction as a result. As the day advances, we head toward a Full Moon in Pisces and an opposition between Mars and Neptune. This Full Moon serves as a reminder of the need to consider our spiritual and emotional wellness. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the Virgo-Pisces axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order. The Mars-Neptune opposition adds an additional layer of urgency to the quest for a balance, as well as some uncertainty as we sort between fact and fiction. We may question our goals and temporarily feel uninspired. Taking time off, working quietly, or doing something primarily for the benefit of others without concern for personal gain are favored at this time. Desires to escape important responsibilities or to play victim or savior should be quashed. However, if we’ve ignored our needs for rest or spiritual nourishment, plans should be made to bring our lives into a better balance. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Pisces and will reach full early tomorrow.
SEPTEMBER 14
The Full Moon occurs today at 12:33 AM EDT in the sign of Pisces, and a Mars-Neptune opposition perfects early today. We are challenged to find a balance, and this lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Illumination of a dream or a desire to find more meaning in our lives can figure strongly now. It’s best to avoid looking for salvation through a relationship, person, project, or business, as we may be putting too-high expectations on these things. Instead, we should be looking within for happiness. This is a potent, confusing, intense, and revealing time. Our discoveries and epiphanies are exciting and passionate, but we may also deal with overblown expectations. It’s a good idea to watch out for fantasies taking over. Both Mercury and Venus enter the sign of Libra this morning. Mercury will transit Libra until October 3rd. When Mercury is in Libra, we are diplomatic and friendly. During this cycle, we bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. It’s a good time to improve our negotiation skills. As we attempt to see both sides of any given situation, we may vacillate. It can be more challenging than usual to make quick decisions, as we can sit “on the fence.” We may too easily accommodate others’ opinions to keep the peace. However, this is a good period for considering others’ points of view and coming to reasonable conclusions. Venus will transit Libra, a sign that it rules, until October 8th. Venus feels right at home in the sign, and during this cycle, we use charm and diplomacy to attract what we want. There is a stronger desire for companionship, and we’re very accommodating with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We prefer that things are done the “right” way and are turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. The shadow traits of this position include dependency, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we might gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. We are more artistically inclined during this cycle, seeking out harmony and balance in our environment. The Moon continues its transit of Pisces until 6:32 PM EDT when it enters Aries. With the Moon in Aries, we want to begin anew.
The Moon is void from 12:33 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to the Sun), until the Moon enters Aries at 6:32 PM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Capricorn
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don't want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence--even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
When the Moon is in Aquarius
Attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. This is a time that promotes social gatherings, dealing with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, and progressive changes. We are open to new methods of doing things and we have our eye on the future. It can be hard to stick to schedules now, as personal freedom is most important to us.
The Moon in Aquarius generally favors the following activities: Unusual or radical undertakings, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, joining a group.
When the Moon is in Pisces
We may not want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favors the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water.
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Virgo You’re coming into a new cycle centered on taking what you know and what you’ve got and then making the most of it in the real world. Assimilating information and experience, learning lessons and putting them into practice – that’s the focus as this cycle unfolds. It’s a time for prudence and stewardship, a time to tend to the details. You probably already have the grand ideals and visions: now you must get your hands dirty with the bricks and mortar and your mind busy with putting it all together.
Mercury in Virgo Mental discipline and patience are keynoted as you enter into a new cycle. Thinking things through, accounting for all the details, making careful measurements: these and similar experiences keep your mind active and involved. An interest in health and work may come to the fore.
Mercury in Libra A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Venus in Virgo If it makes sense you love it, and if it doesn’t you feel guilty about it: that’s what it’s like now. Loving attention to details and a sense of satisfaction in doing what is right (especially with respect to your health) are some of the qualities that come to the fore at a time like this.
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Mars in Virgo As a new cycle dawns in your life, there arises a passion for details, a need to do just the right thing at just the right time, and a burning desire to have a place for everything and everything in its place. This can be hard on the digestion if taken to extremes! The satisfaction of a job well done is one of your greatest incentives now.
Jupiter in Sagittarius Faith, optimism, and a yearning to explore all kinds of new horizons: these are some of the focal points in your life at this time. Travel, education, and other ways to stretch your horizons open new doors of opportunity. Religious, philosophical, and cultural matters are likely to have special appeal for you now; transmitting ideas on a broader scale brings gain.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
