Romance & Relationship Report
Daily Trends
The FULL MOON occurs on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 5:11 PM EDT. On Saturday afternoon, the Sun in Taurus opposes the Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio). While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages happiness with the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Moon draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out.
Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings — we need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.
Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that are already there, but that have not yet been dealt with. Where does the Full Moon fall by house in your natal chart? Read more here.
This Full Moon occurs around the time of a Venus-Uranus alignment, adding to the elements of surprise and revelation. Its harmony with Pluto suggests conviction and willingness to make necessary changes.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 27 degrees and 39 minutes of Scorpio forming an opposition to the Sun at 27 degrees and 39 minutes Taurus, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 24 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and at approximately 0 to 2 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

(Times are Eastern)
This week: The Sun is in Taurus; Mercury is in Taurus; Venus is in Aries until the 15th, after which Venus is in Taurus; Mars is in Gemini until the 15th, after which Mars is in Cancer.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 20-May 21. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting things! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
Mercury is in Taurus from May 6-21. When Mercury is in Taurus, our thinking is down to earth, solid, and grounded. Common sense reigns over more fanciful thinking. We communicate more deliberately under this influence, and our minds are oriented to the world of the five senses. We prefer the tried and true rather than new ways of thinking. Attention to one thing at a time can simplify our lives, but we may be in danger of narrow, overly conservative, or rigid thinking.
Venus is in Aries from April 20-May 15. In Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past. It’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now. Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to Aries. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.
Venus is in Taurus from May 15-June 8. In Taurus, Venus is very sensual (naturally), content, and possessive. We seek security and value that which lasts. Our appetite for pleasure is strong. Taurus values the here and the now as well as the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance are most important now. Holding on to someone we love is our tendency under Venus in Taurus. The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own. On the financial side, Venus in Taurus looks for high-quality, solid, practical, and long-lasting items. Holding on to our possessions is more likely now.
Mars is in Gemini from March 31-May 15. In Gemini, Mars is considerably more versatile and flexible–and considerably less determined and focused! Our interests become more diversified, possibly to the point of going off on so many tangents that we are scattered and ineffective.
Mars is in Cancer from May 15-July 1. We pursue our interests ardently, but we avoid a direct approach to going after we want. As well, our goals and plans are subject to mood swings and vacillations. We are defensive rather than overtly aggressive. Much of what we do depends on our mood of the moment.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 8th, 2018, and transits the sign until December 2nd, 2019. Read more about the Jupiter in Sagittarius transit.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus first transited Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and is now consistently in the sign (since March 6th, 2019) until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Aries from April 20 to May 15, 2019.
Venus is in Taurus from May 15 to June 8, 2019. In Taurus, Venus is usually quite content but can be possessive.
This week: On Monday and Tuesday, we are more likely than usual to seek out love, connect, create, and interact, feeding off the energy that our relationships and others give us. It’s a great time for enhancing or pursuing a relationship. On Friday and Saturday, a Venus-Neptune semi-square points to some tendencies to project our fantasies, whether these are positive or negative, onto others or relationships. Watch for deception and self-deception now. At the same time, however, a Venus-Uranus alignment occurs, and a need for a fresh start is with us. We want to move forward fearlessly into the future.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Aries April 20-May 16. Romance at the drop of a hat is part and parcel of the cycle you have just begun. Winning the hearts of others can be a challenge you’re eager to accept – and the thrill of the chase might be most of the fun. Is it the pursuit of happiness – or the happiness of pursuit?
Venus in Taurus A love of music, an appreciation for sensual pleasures and others of the finer things in life – such are the signs of the cycle which has begun for you. This is aesthetic and artistic to be sure, but it is also practical and materialistic: you develop a keen appreciation for the value of things, including the money it takes to buy them.
Venus trine Jupiter May 8-9. Harmony and good will reign under this influence. Expansive feelings in love, and a feeling that anything is possible if we set our sights high enough, are experienced now. We are friendly, big-hearted, sociable, and optimistic. It is easy to make social contacts under this influence. Cheerfulness, trust, and confidence in love and social matters.
Venus square Pluto May 8-9. Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Jealousy and possessiveness are high, in direct proportion to fear of losing a partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies.
Venus sextile Mars May 13-14. This points to success and ease in close personal interactions. We are passionate and sexy. It is a good time for financial ventures, social life, artistic pursuits, romance, and pleasure. We are now able to take the initiative and to achieve harmony and sexual fulfillment. This influence brings satisfaction to the feelings. We may make permanent ties or relationships that prove to be fruitful and fortunate.
Venus semi-square Neptune May 17-18. Romantic confusion as well as relationship ups and downs. Self-deceptions may come to light now.
Venus conjunct Uranus May 17-18. We have a taste for the unusual and the avant garde. We are itching for a change. What makes a person unique is more attractive under this influence. Excitement and newness are valued over permanence in social relationships. Freedom is more important than intimacy just now. We lose our fears of taking risks in love and social situations. Romantic infatuations, gossip, unanticipated opportunities socially or financially. We have a greater need for self-expression, personal freedom, and social excitement.
Venus sesquiquadrate Jupiter May 20. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships.
Venus parallel Uranus May 20-21. We embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit. Peculiar, sudden, or avant-garde attractions. This is an exciting but unstable energy. Friendship in love relationships becomes more important.
Venus sextile North Node May 29-30. There is a stronger desire to connect to and belong with others at this time. We are more obliging and sociable.
Venus sextile Neptune May 29-30. Unusual attractions that add imagination, inspiration, and emotional “color” to our lives may occur now. We are attuned to the subtleties of human interaction, and we are more inclined to naturally cooperate with others. An imaginative, romantic time.
Venus trine Saturn May 30-31. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. A new sense of realism and maturity in existing partnerships. Relationships begun under this influence possess a distinctly practical theme, almost as if the partnership is a business endeavor, and have much potential to last.
Venus semi-square Chiron May 31. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, May 12th, from 8:25 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mars), until the Moon enters Virgo at 12:22 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, May 14th, from 1:20 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mars), until the Moon enters Libra at 2:52 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, May 16th, from 5:38 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 5:27 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, May 18th, from 5:12 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to the Sun), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 9:22 PM EDT.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury semi-square Mars. We are quick-witted and ready to argue under this influence. We may be working under stressful or hectic conditions, as we feel pressure to get things done quickly. We are inclined to be snappy and irritable, and we may too easily interrupt others rather than listen. Conflicts of interest are likely.
Sun inconjunct (quincunx) Jupiter. The desire to experience something new or for more freedom to explore can amount to restlessness if we don’t know what it is we want. This is a time of adjustments, and perhaps of letting go of old habits so that we can free ourselves up for different experiences.
Sun trine Pluto. We are able to get to the bottom of things now. We are more decisive than usual, and our abilities to concentrate and focus help us achieve what we set out to do. Endurance, the power to achieve, an opportunity to draw upon our past and to capitalize on resources, and strategy are all themes of this influence. This is a very positive aspect for starting a money-making endeavor (all things equal) or a new project. Leadership skills are in focus and strong. We are more able to connect with others in terms of shared goals and interests. The focus now is on eliminating negative or superficial elements in our lives.
Venus sextile Mars. This points to success and ease in close personal interactions. We are feeling passionate, warm, expressive, lively and sexy. Our creativity and desire to make something beautiful is stimulated now.
Mercury sextile Neptune. Intuition runs high; we are more sensitive artistically; imagination is stirred, and we have an increased appreciation for subtleties. We are inspired and we are able to inspire others with our words.
Mercury semi-square Chiron. Communications may be careless, hurtful or perceived as hurtful under this influence. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. There may be impatience with rules, worry or guilty feelings, and conflicting viewpoints now.
Mercury trine Saturn. Clear, realistic thinking characterizes this influence. A good time to get organized, to do detail work, and to prepare for the future. Decisions made now tend to be practical and well thought out. Work done now is likely to beget tangible results in the future. Conversations may be spare but to the point. Manifestation and achievement are what satisfy.
Mercury quincunx (inconjunct) Jupiter. We may have big ideas under this influence, but we may also overestimate our abilities or underestimate the situation. Avoid jumping into something without planning ahead, as important details are too easy to overlook. Also, avoid making promises you may not be able to fulfill and read the fine print!
Venus semi-square Neptune. Happiness is addictive under this influence. We tend to see what we want to see. Glossing over the more realistic points, details, and flaws of circumstances and of people provides us with instant gratification. However, it’s wise to hold off on making important purchases, or natalizing a relationship until the veil lifts. Take care with legal, financial, and social involvements, contracts, or formal agreements under this dreamy influence.
Mercury trine Pluto. Our mental faculties are attuned to otherworldly impressions, offering us increased insight, psychological understanding and awareness, and focused attention.
Venus conjunct Uranus. We have a taste for the unusual and the avant-garde. We are itching for a change. What makes a person unique is more attractive under this influence. Excitement and newness are valued over permanence in social relationships. We lose our fears of taking risks in love and social situations. Romantic infatuations, gossip, unanticipated opportunities socially or financially. We have a greater need for self-expression, personal freedom, and social excitement.

MAY 12
The Moon continues its transit of Leo until 12:23 PM EDT, after which the Moon transits Virgo. We can move from a playful to workhorse frame of mind with this Moon sign change. The desire–or need–to tidy up our affairs is prominent. Keeping busy and making headway satisfies us more than usual, and we seek a bit of inspiration or new and improved methods for getting things done. The Virgo Moon can stimulate a craving for order and clarity. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into stronger focus.
The Moon is void from 8:25 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mars), until the Moon enters Virgo at 12:22 PM EDT.
MAY 13
With a Mercury-Mars semi-square today, impatience or impulsiveness with communications and movements should be watched. We may be a little too quick to argue under this influence. We may be working under stressful or hectic conditions, as we feel pressure to get things done quickly. We are inclined to be snappy and irritable, and we may hastily interrupt others rather than listen. Conflicts of interest are possible but not likely to be serious. The Sun forms a quincunx to Jupiter today, and as much as Mercury-Mars wants us to make quick decisions, the Sun-Jupiter influence challenges us with two choices that seem equal in desirability. This transit can serve to contrast two very different drives and goals, and it can be difficult to know our next step as a result. The desire to experience something new or for more freedom to explore can amount to restlessness if we are not sure of what we want. There can be disagreements over values or money matters in partnerships, or perhaps a price to pay that’s higher than initially expected. This is a time of adjustments, and perhaps of letting go of old habits so that we can free ourselves up for experiences that allow us to grow and move forward. Tonight, however, the Sun forms a trine to Pluto, and this influence encourages cooperation, focus, and practical ability. We’re exceptionally resourceful and efficient. It’s a strong time for gravitating towards things, people, and situations that help us to succeed or advance our goals. We are more decisive than usual, and our abilities to concentrate and focus help us achieve what we set out to do. We might enjoy an opportunity to draw upon our past and to capitalize on our talents and resources. The focus now is on eliminating harmful or superficial elements in our lives and going forward with more conviction as a result.
MAY 14
Both Venus and Mars will change signs tomorrow (Venus is heading into the sign of Taurus and Mars into the sign of Cancer), but today, they form a sextile near the tail-end of their current signs. It’s a time for a creative approach to our relationships and projects, and we’re particularly resourceful. This transit presents us with opportunities if we look for them, particularly with creative pursuits, communications, commercial ventures, money matters, and social relationships. It supports flow and ease in close personal interactions without sacrificing engagement. We can make connections that prove to be fruitful and fortunate. We’re likely to want to express our affections through the actions we take, and we can feel compelled to create something beautiful. We are also more interactive and charming than usual. The Moon continues its transit of helpful Virgo until 2:52 PM EDT, after which it moves through the fair and just sign of Libra.
The Moon is void from 1:20 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mars), until the Moon enters Libra at 2:52 PM EDT.
MAY 15
Venus and Mars enter new signs today: Venus moves into the sign of Taurus and Mars begins its transit of Cancer. Venus performs well in the sign of Taurus as the sign’s ruler and will transit Taurus until June 8th. In Taurus, Venus is comfortable, sensual, content, and perhaps possessive. We seek security more than usual, and we place more value on those things that last. In fact, our judgment of value and worth is enhanced during this cycle. Our appetite for pleasure is robust. Mars transits Cancer from today until July 1st. We are, generally speaking, cautious and conservative under this influence, but we will fight for, about, or on behalf of those people and things that are dearest to our heart. Much of what we do depends on our current mood, although we are strong and patient during this cycle. Also today, Mercury forms a sextile to Neptune, expanding our minds and encouraging our imagination. Psychic openness figures strongly in our interactions. We experience a sense of knowing and understanding with minimal explanation or instruction. Intuition is highlighted or awakened. The Moon spends the day in relationship-focused, fair-minded Libra.
MAY 16
While a Mercury-Chiron semi-square can point to a tendency to doubt our perceptions, Mercury forms a trine to Saturn today, and this transit supports detail work, realistic thinking, and step-by-step approaches to learning and communicating. Mercury-Saturn helps us to get grounded and centered in our thinking, particularly with both planets in pragmatic Earth signs. Conversations may be spare but to the point or instructive. This is a favorable time for organized thinking, making plans, and helping others understand our perspective. A step-by-step approach to tasks and problems works best right now. We are cautious with our expectations, or at least we remind ourselves to be so. The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 5:27 PM EDT, encouraging us to see both sides of any given situation, after which the Moon transits Scorpio, awakening a need to tap into our passions and desires.
The Moon is void from 5:38 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 5:27 PM EDT.
MAY 17
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Scorpio and is working its way toward full (the Full Moon will occur in Scorpio tomorrow). Emotions are building. A Mercury-Jupiter quincunx in effect today can point to a hard choice. Our ideas may not feel entirely right under this influence. We might waver, unable to reach a wholly satisfying decision or conclusion. We may overestimate our abilities or underestimate the situation. It may be best to avoid jumping into something without planning, as necessary details are too easy to overlook just for now. We can be see-sawing between alternatives. However, Mercury forms a trine to Pluto early into the day tomorrow but in influence today, and we seek out the hidden message. It’s a good time for formulating strategies and making observations. This very focused influence promotes developing strategy and plans and using our powers of persuasion. We are especially good at solving problems and getting to the bottom line.
MAY 18
The Moon is Full in the sign of Scorpio today at 5:12 PM EDT, reminding us of the need to consider others’ support, contribution, needs, wants, and input, and possibly forcing awareness of relationship imbalances. If we’ve been focusing too closely on material and comfort needs, we may need this push to embrace intangibles and spiritual growth. Discoveries made now can have a magical or private quality to them. This Full Moon occurs around the time of a Venus-Uranus alignment, adding to the elements of surprise and revelation. Its harmony with Pluto suggests conviction and willingness to make necessary changes, and with Saturn, points to an ultimate sense that we’re doing the right things for long-term growth and success. The Full Moon is a time of culmination, and with the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our lives. These new revelations are emotional ones, as feelings burst forth into our consciousness. Venus and Uranus align today, and the need to express ourselves freely and openly is strong. This influence encourages us to let go of rigidity. We’re itching for a change whether we’re aware of this or not. Stimulation and newness are valued over permanence for the time being. We lose our fears of taking risks in love, with pleasure, and in social situations. Themes include infatuations, whims, gossip, and unanticipated opportunities socially or financially. We have a greater need for self-expression and social excitement.
The Moon is void from 5:12 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to the Sun), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 9:22 PM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.

Sun in Taurus The cycle now dawning in your life emphasizes stability, substance, practicality, and the concept of value – value in the material as well as psycho-spiritual sense. This marks a time of building to last, of appreciating the substantial rather than ephemeral. Consolidating past gains rather than focusing on radical new departures is likely to be a major theme for you during this cycle. Appreciating the finer things of life is another hallmark of this phase, which marks a time when you should be concentrating on “smelling the roses” rather than passing them by in such a hurry.
Mercury in Taurus “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” – that’s the key to the way you think at a time like this. Practical, utilitarian ideas are the ones that make the most sense now – putting them to good use is a focus for you. Material things are foremost on your mind in many respects: an emphasis on the real rather than the ideal.
Venus in Aries Romance at the drop of a hat is part and parcel of the cycle you have just begun.
Mars in Gemini Learning, communicating, the exchange of ideas: these are the experiences you crave as a means to make your mark now, as a new phase begins in your life. You’re a person with something to say, and you realize that others have information that is essential to your goals. A time of much mental energy and initiative … perhaps with an element of conflict tossed in for good measure.
Mars in Cancer Defensive, aren’t we? With this new cycle getting underway, protecting and preserving you and yours takes on a higher than usual priority. A sensitivity to the needs and wants of others and an appreciation for their frailties (as well as your own) makes you more cautious and conservative … you pick your battles with care.
Jupiter in Sagittarius Faith, optimism, and a yearning to explore all kinds of new horizons: these are some of the focal points in your life at this time. Travel, education, and other ways to stretch your horizons open new doors of opportunity. Religious, philosophical, and cultural matters are likely to have special appeal for you now; transmitting ideas on a broader scale brings gain.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
