Daily Trends
The FIRST QUARTER MOON occurs on Monday, November 20th, 2023, at 5:50 AM EST.
On Monday morning, the First Quarter Moon is exact, when the Sun in Scorpio forms a square with the Moon in Aquarius.
There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we are made aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error. Whatever project or initiative we began around the New Moon is now off the ground, and it may face its first obstacles.
A First Quarter Moon can be a time of some stress, clashing, and discord, but also of great energy, motivation, and growth. We’re more ambitious and competitive. Things are beginning to take off or turn a corner. This is a time when we want to get something going, but we may not yet know the next step or the exact direction we want to take.
While we should probably watch for overconfidence or overshooting, it’s a good idea to use the stress generated now to make important changes.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 27 degrees and 51 minutes of Aquarius square the Sun at the same degree of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 26 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Scorpio until the 22nd, when it enters Sagittarius; Mercury is in Sagittarius; Venus is in Libra; Mars is in Scorpio until the 24th, when it enters Sagittarius.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 23-November 22. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire.” Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio–we want to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair.
Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
We are more likely to prosper through strategy and knowing the value of keeping some things to ourselves at the right times. Efforts to repurpose, recycle, salvage, and transform can be successful. We’re especially successful at organizing, researching, investigating, and analyzing.
While we can be quite controlled with effort, there is some inclination to extremism. We can be drawn to challenges and crises, and we feel compelled to heal, fix, and direct or manage.
The Sun is in Sagittarius from November 22-December 21. With the Sun in Sagittarius, our focus shifts from the need for an intimate connection with a person and with ourselves, to the desire to reach out to the world and connect with something larger than ourselves.
While the Sun moves through this fiery, mutable sign, we can take steps to increase our understanding and awareness of the world around us. We are more able to muster up the courage to expand our horizons and branch out into new ways of thinking.
We can gain more confidence and optimism by focusing on the “big picture” as we move away from our focus on the details of mundane existence. Although we may be prone to overdoing our expectations, we have the opportunity to nurture our faith, hope, and vision under this influence.
Mercury is in Sagittarius from November 10-December 1. When Mercury is in Sagittarius, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics. We seek ideals, our thinking is more optimistic, and our faith increases. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade. What is fair and unfair concerns us most now. However, we are not always very precise under this influence.
We’re more inclined to ask questions and seek answers during this forward-looking cycle. We might often wax philosophical, and we enjoy wrapping our minds around new concepts and ideas. Still, the details are not as interesting to us now, as we prefer to envision the big picture.
On the downside, we can be inconsistent and lack attention to details. While frank and open, we can also be tactless during this period. We’re generous with our communications and input, and we’re humorous and friendly at this time.
Venus is in Libra from November 8-December 4. We favor charm over assertiveness to get what we want during this cycle. Usually quite willing to negotiate and compromise, we can be very obliging with others. We’re also very idealistic about love, and we seek intellectual peers. Although Venus in Libra is very relationship-focused, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We prefer things are done the “right” way, and aggressive or uncouth behavior turns us off.
The shadow expression of this position includes over-dependence and superficiality. To avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to partners while privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so.
While Venus is in Libra, we are more artistically inclined or seek balance in our personal environment. This cycle is excellent for promoting cooperation, harmony, mutually beneficial connections, and fairness. We are gentle but firm, and we’re skilled at mediation.
We’re more likely to prosper during this cycle in partnership, through one-to-one associations, such as counseling, or in fields related to harmony, relationships, beauty, design, and the law. We’re not fond of out-and-out competition or aggressive pursuit, preferring win-win situations, hands down. We attract things to us and appeal to others gently and kindly. Equality and politeness are important now, and we despise hurting others’ feelings.
Mars is in Scorpio from October 12-November 24. In Scorpio, Mars is driven and focused on getting what it wants. We are persevering, single-minded, and strong. The desire to experience our emotional depths, as well as the urge to penetrate the surface of life in order to explore deeper levels of existence, is powerful. We are fascinated with what others tend to repress, and are drawn to experiencing and understanding these things.
We are less inclined to avoid important issues now. In some ways, we are attracted to crisis, as we see crisis as transformative and emotionally exciting. We would rather feel extreme emotions than nothing at all, as mediocrity or the “middle road” is felt to be unsatisfying.
Mars is in Sagittarius from November 24, 2023-January 4, 2024. With a Sagittarius Mars, our actions are motivated by our ideals. We are bothered by routine, quickly becoming restless if we feel confined. We have a love of adventure and of conquest–this is the position of wanderlust. We start projects or challenges with gusto, although we may tend to abandon them rather quickly. This may be because we set our sights too high! There is a tendency to jump in and think about it later. Part of us resists directions, instructions, and planning ahead.
We are spontaneous, direct, and passionate about our beliefs with Mars in Sagittarius. It’s a playful, fun-loving, and optimistic energy. We have strong morals, and we’re champions for the truth. We’re also ready for a hearty debate. Given the space to find our own way, we can move mountains. In fact, we enjoy stretching our limits. It’s an inspiring, forward-looking period when we follow our hearts and positive visions of the future.
Jupiter is in Taurus.
Jupiter begins its transit of Taurus on May 16th, 2023, and it will continue its transit of the sign until May 25th, 2024. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Taurus.
Saturn transits Pisces from March 7th, 2023 until May 24th, 2025, and Sep 1st, 2025, to Feb 13th, 2026. Read about Saturn’s transit of Pisces.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Pluto transitions from Capricorn to Aquarius in 2023 and 2024. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Pluto has retrograded back into Capricorn, and is in Capricorn until January 20th, 2024.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Libra from November 8-December 4. Venus rules Libra and thus is dignified in the sign. Venus feels right “at home” in Libra, where she seeks to balance and harmonize. With Venus in Libra, we can easily be in love with love. We are more comfortable with a close partner with whom we can seek to have a balanced relationship. We favor employing charm over aggressive pursuit to get what we want.
Although Venus in Libra is very relationship-focused, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. As we prefer things be done the “right” way, we’re turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior.
The shadow side of this position is dependency, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so!
This week: On Sunday, we’re seeking special meaning through our connections. While this can make us a little more vulnerable to influence, we’re opening our hearts and seeing beauty where we’ve never seen it before.
Wednesday is tricky. We can find several little things wrong with our relationships, or there can be some awkward energy in our interactions. In fact, we can be commitment-phobic. However, our interactions can open up soft spots or trigger sensitive issues, which can help us understand ourselves and others more deeply.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Venus quincunx Jupiter November 15-16. A strong desire for the pleasures of life is with us now, although our eyes are often bigger than our stomachs. Troubles in relationships now are likely due to overblown expectations. It can be challenging to find a balance between responsibilities and the desire for self-gratification.
Venus semi-square Mars November 16-17. Tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging.
Venus parallel Neptune November 18-19. Heightened sensitivity to, and awareness of, beauty and spirituality. We are easily influenced, seducible and seductive, and given to strong powers of imagination. We are more attuned to the world of beauty and romance. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. A “magical” time on a romantic and social level, but it could also be a confusing or illusory influence as well. Psychic openness and compassion.
Venus sesquiquadrate Saturn November 22. Feelings of isolation, of not getting what we really want, and of not being loved the way we want to be loved can get in the way of pleasant relations with our partners.
Venus opposition Chiron November 22. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves. Our relationships may open up some inner wound.
Venus quincunx Uranus November 26. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, freedom vs. intimacy issues. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships, or whether we need freedom from them; yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, November 20th, from 5:50 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to the Sun), until the Moon enters Pisces at 9:29 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, November 22nd, from 10:10 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Aries at 12:20 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 24th, from 12:40 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Taurus at 3:29 PM EST.
November 2023:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week, which is considered as generally favorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from approximately Tuesday, November 21st, at approximately 3:20 PM EST, to Wednesday, November 22nd, at approximately 10:05 AM EST, while the Moon is in Pisces. Another window occurs from Friday, November 24th, at approximately 3:40 PM EST, until Sunday, November 26th, at approximately 4:50 PM EST, while the Moon is in Taurus.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Sun sextile Pluto. Research brings rewards. We benefit now from strategy and keeping things to ourselves for the time being. Opportunities to find or renew something we had lost, and to gain some power are available now.
Mercury trine Chiron. This is an excellent period for opening up communications with others, as we are more sensitive than usual and more willing to listen. Getting our point across is easier, as it’s not only about which words we choose to communicate, we intuitively express the meaning and intention behind the words. We can effectively use words to heal and comfort just now. We are also more open to new ways of looking at problems or at life in general.
Mars sextile Pluto. We are able to successfully focus on our goals, to take decisive action, and to go after what we want without stepping on others’ toes under this influence.
Venus sesquiquadrate Saturn. There may be difficulties relating to others under this influence. People may be cool with their affections and emotionally distant. Avoid new financial undertakings, as they may prove to be “money pits” as time passes. There may be anxiety or troubles with regards to matters concerned with the feelings. Romantic disappointments, unrequited love, separations, and broken engagements are the more negative manifestations. We tend to lack social confidence at this time and adopt a shy, formal, or reserved social manner. This transit is best used for reflection.
Venus opposition Chiron. Disappointments in love relationships can occur now as we focus on the differences and weaknesses rather than the strong points. We are more aware, and possibly resentful of, imbalances in our relationships. We are less open to romantic feelings and more insecure about whether our affections will be returned.
Sun square Saturn. As we face obstacles to our goals, we begin to see the tools with which we have to overcome them. A heavy dose of realism seems forced upon us under this influence, but our efforts to measure up to expectations can ultimately increase our confidence in our ability to be responsible for ourselves. This influence is a somber one.
Sun sesquiquadrate Chiron. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong, but may be hampered by a lack of confidence or a fear of being different.
Mercury quincunx Uranus. It is difficult to get a point across without rubbing people the wrong way or misrepresenting ourselves. Uncertainty reigns today. Avoid making hasty decisions that you will later regret. Impulsiveness, disorganization, unreceptive to practical advice and/or your ideas are not well-received.
Saturn semi-square Chiron. There can be fears now of not being competent or effective enough to meet our responsibilities, or we could find it hard to strike out on a unique path, again due to fears or insecurities. The desire to break from the status quo is strong, but we may not have the necessary confidence to do so temporarily.
Mars sesquiquadrature Chiron. We can be easily offended under the influence of this transit. Touchiness. Difficulties expressing our anger or desires in a direct manner.
Mars square Saturn. Frustrations, smoldering anger, and a feeling of being blocked when we are attempting to go after what we want characterize this transit. Our desire to take action and to constructively express our aggressive urges feels thwarted or blocked. It can feel like more effort than usual is required to complete tasks.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter. We experience information overload, and we neglect to consider details. People tend to exaggerate today.

NOVEMBER 19
With the Moon in Aquarius all day, we seek to be fair and supportive while maintaining our independence. This transit encourages us to seek intellectual stimulation and unusual or unconventional experiences. The Aquarius Moon is earnest, friendly, and principled—our interest in our social life, new ideas, and progressive change increases. The Moon’s harmony with Venus and Mercury stimulates a cooperative, conversational, and diplomatic approach to one another, while its square to Uranus suggests our need for freedom is greater than usual, and perhaps a bit disruptive. The Sun’s parallel to Mars today strengthens our resolve and quickens our reactions.
NOVEMBER 20
The First Quarter Moon is exact this morning, with the Sun in Scorpio square to the Moon in Aquarius. A crisis theme surrounds any quarter Moon phase as we feel compelled to take action. There can be some trial and error or tension to manage now, although it can also help motivate us to make a move! Recent new beginnings may face their first obstacles. Tensions run high. However, as the day advances, the Sun forms a sextile to Pluto, and Mars will do the same tomorrow. This Sun-Pluto sextile puts us in a renovating spirit–we seek more depth from our activities and connections. It subtly increases our determination, ambition, and dedication. Making improvements or working toward a personal goal can be successful now. We tend to direct our energy constructively and seek new insight into our lives. It’s a time to discover new ways of looking at problems or life. We feel more vital and enjoy the empowered feeling that results from making changes and improvements. Research might bring rewards. With this transit, we benefit from strategy and perhaps some discretion. A Mercury-Chiron trine is also in play today, opening our minds to learning from one another. This influence aids with communicating our feelings constructively. We’re relaying our messages in relatable, accessible ways. Good energy is with us for discussing or giving more thought to sensitive topics. We’re especially alert, observant, and willing to understand. It’s easier than usual to communicate our message now, although this is less about getting the exact wording right and more about conveying our intentions. We might discover new ways to approach problems.
The Moon is void from 5:50 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to the Sun), until the Moon enters Pisces at 9:29 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 21
With today’s Venus-Uranus biquintile, we notice and appreciate the unique elements of people, situations, and projects. It’s a strong day for devising strategies, and it’s easier to wait for the right moment to act. A Mars-Pluto sextile brings a stronger ability to focus. Pursuing our goals and satisfying our desires under this influence feels natural—ambitions and determination increase. We’re getting in touch with what we want and making plans to pursue it. We benefit from a patient and deliberate approach rather than pushing for immediate action.
NOVEMBER 22
The Sun enters Sagittarius today, where it will transit until December 21st. Our focus shifts from the need for an intimate connection with a person, project, or ourselves to the desire to reach out to the world and connect with something larger than ourselves. While the Sun moves through the fiery, mutable sign of Sagittarius in the weeks ahead, we might take steps to increase our understanding and awareness of the world around us. We muster up the courage to expand our horizons and branch out into new ways of thinking. We gain more confidence and optimism by focusing on the “big picture” as we move away from our focus on the details of mundane existence. Although we may be prone to overdoing our expectations, we have the opportunity to nurture our faith, hope, and vision during this cycle.
Today, however, we are heading toward a Sun-Saturn square, and we might face obstacles and challenges. We can feel underestimated, unrecognized, unlucky, or unrewarded! Perhaps most importantly, we should watch for setting unattainable standards for ourselves, others, and situations. Our commitment to rest can temporarily interfere with a need for adventure. We face obstacles, but this puts us in the position to recognize our ability to overcome them. It can be a time to face reality or the practical side of a situation and assume more responsibility.
Venus forms a sesquiquadrate to Saturn and an opposition to Chiron, and there can be disappointments as we focus on the differences and weaknesses rather than the strong points in our interactions. Temporarily, we’re less confident about our relationships, social life, worth, money, or social skills. We are more aware and possibly resentful of imbalances in our relationships and insecure about whether our affections are reciprocated. There can be some anxiety or troubles with matters concerned with feelings and preferences until we get in touch with our actual needs and wants.
The Moon is void from 10:10 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Aries at 12:20 PM EST.
NOVEMBER 23
The Moon spends the day in active, assertive, and direct Aries. While this Moon transit favors initiative, this morning can be choppy. We may doubt our inner guide and face situations that seem to test our vulnerabilities. We can feel unlucky, underestimated, unrecognized, or unrewarded. It may be best to strengthen ourselves and our plans, lay low, and conserve energy. However, as the day advances, we’re likely to feel freer to tap into the Aries Moon’s pioneering and enterprising qualities.
NOVEMBER 24
Mercury forms a quincunx with Uranus this morning, and there can be unclear directions and instructions, lack of receptiveness to practical advice, or mental disorganization to manage. It can be a challenge to gain others’ understanding. We should watch for poorly considered decisions. Also today, Mars moves into Sagittarius for a stay until January 4th. During this transit, our actions are heavily motivated by our ideals. We are bothered by routine, quickly becoming restless if we feel confined. We have a stronger love of adventure and conquest–this is the position of wanderlust. We start projects or challenges enthusiastically, although we may abandon them quickly if they fail to hold our interest, perhaps if we’ve set our sights too high! Mars in Sagittarius defends its principles and sometimes takes it personally when others disagree. We are spontaneous, direct, and passionate about our beliefs with Mars in Sagittarius. It’s a playful, fun-loving, and optimistic energy. We have strong morals, and we’re champions for the truth. Given the space to find our own way, we can move mountains. In fact, we enjoy stretching our limits. It’s an inspiring, forward-looking period when we follow our hearts and positive visions of the future.
The Moon is void from 12:40 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Taurus at 3:29 PM EST.
NOVEMBER 25
Saturn forms a semi-square to Chiron this morning–the final of three perfections, the first of which was in February, and the second on August 15th. During this minor challenging, longer-term transit, there can be fears of not being competent or effective enough to meet our responsibilities. We could find it hard to strike out on a unique path, again due to fears or insecurities. The desire to break from the status quo is strong, but temporarily, we may not have the necessary confidence to do so.
Mars hooks into this transit via a square to Saturn and sesquiquadrate to Chiron. Ambitions and accomplishments are strong on our minds. There can be obstacles to surmount, and we could feel blocked from asserting ourselves or pursuing our desires. It’s a time to slow down and make adjustments and edits, as we may encounter resistance if we push ahead. It can seem like more effort than usual is required to complete tasks. We might deal with disapproval or a dip in confidence, and we should draw on patience and aim to develop our endurance.
With touchiness or difficulties asserting ourselves confidently or naturally, it can be all too easy to offend or feel offended today! It’s not the best day for confident decision-making or comfortable self-assertion and expression. It’s a better time for maintenance than it is for moving forward. In fact, we might recognize some of our limits and adjust our speed accordingly.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Aquarius
Attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. This is a time that promotes social gatherings, dealing with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, and progressive changes. We are open to new methods of doing things and we have our eye on the future. It can be hard to stick to schedules now, as personal freedom is most important to us.
The Moon in Aquarius generally favors the following activities: Unusual or radical undertakings, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, joining a group.
When the Moon is in Pisces
We may not want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favors the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water.
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues, and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Sun in Sagittarius You’re now embarking on a trek into a land of dreams – not passive daydreams, but vibrant visions of what may be. The time has come to stop looking at the world as it is and asking why. Now’s the time to imagine the world as it could be, and the question has become: “Why not?” You also cannot do everything you imagine now, but you cannot do anything you don’t KNOW you can do – so believe, and dare to make it happen! This means expanding your mind, your belief system, your whole base of knowledge and experience. Time’s a wastin’ – let no grass grow between your toes!
Mercury in Sagittarius A time of expanding your mental horizons is at hand. Religion, philosophy, law, and education are some of the things that may have special importance for you now. Being in touch with faraway people and places satisfies an intellectual yearning – curiosity will take you anywhere and maybe everywhere.
Mars in Scorpio Tear it down and build it up again, reach in and pluck out the offending element: that’s what the new cycle you have entered is like. Power becomes a compelling idea, perhaps even an aphrodisiac – and you’ve got a stronger than usual supply of it now. Use it, don’t abuse it – or you might find that it’s a two-edged sword!
Mars in Sagittarius Ideology is a keynote of the new phase you have begun – the power of ideas and the power they wield over people. Religious, cultural, or philosophical controversies and crusades have a way of stirring your blood. Travel and adventure are compelling temptations as you dare to test your mettle and stretch your horizons.
Jupiter in Taurus A kind of Midas touch is signaled by the new cycle now dawning in your life. Prosperity and security take center stage in your thoughts; a gentle but committed conservatism brings you all kinds of good things. Take care of the material things, and the spiritual will take care of itself: that’s your orientation now.
Saturn in Pisces Making peace with the past, coming to terms with karmic debts: these are some of the issues that confront you as a new phase begins in your life. Failure to face these things can cause setbacks and put obstacles in your path. Learn to look beyond the narrowly personal and selfish or you’ll get in over your head.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small, but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
