The FULL MOON occurs on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, at 9:53 AM EDT.
On Thursday morning, a Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Gemini forms an opposition to the Moon in Sagittarius. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
We become more fully aware of what has been lacking or missing in our lives, particularly related to learning, adventure, spirited living, communicating, sharing, and commuting.
The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind.” The Gemini Sun encourages us to think logically, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit and to think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is quite comfortable in its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond it.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.
This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings–we need to express them.
The lunation illuminates this conflict between logic and intuition/faith. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems.
Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is fresh, unrefined, and not particularly rational as yet.
This Full Moon harmonizes with Neptune and Pluto, and the Sun and Venus have just recently aligned with Jupiter, bringing a sense of good luck and will along with some inspiration and determination to see things through.
The chart:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 2 degrees and 55 minutes of Sagittarius opposite the Sun at the same degree of Gemini, and affecting people with personal planets and points at 29 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and 0 to 7 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.
The following is a chart of this Full Moon with some additional points:

This week: The Sun is in Taurus until the 20th, when the Sun is in Gemini; Mercury is in Taurus; Venus is in Taurus until the 23rd, when Venus enters Gemini; Mars is in Aries.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
The Sun in Taurus is the connoisseur and sensualist. It’s patient, stubborn, earthy, stable, and rooted. The Sun-in-Taurus cycle is a good one for maintaining or building, as well as enjoying and appreciating what’s already in place. While the Taurus Sun is slow to warm up, it’s stable and persevering once it does. We value what’s long-term, strong, and lasting during this phase.
The Sun is in Gemini from May 20-June 20. Knowledge and diversity motivate us with the Sun in Gemini. We are more sociable, intellectual, and insatiably curious under this influence. We tend to scatter our energies due to this curiosity and awareness of all of our options. We are more communicative and versatile, but we can also be unreliable.
Gemini represents duality and mediation. Gemini’s energy is intelligent, optimistic, observant, and adaptable. It’s skeptical, ready to consider alternate ways of thinking. We’re prepared to trade, share, exchange, pass on news, teach, guide, and learn.
We gather information during the Sun-in-Gemini cycle, and we benefit from this transit’s objectivity. We’re quick-witted, cheerful, engaging, and we easily adapt, observe, and listen–it’s a clever and crafty influence.
On the downside, we can be gossipy, overly intellectual, or too rational when a softer touch would be more appropriate. As we relay and process information, we could be living too much in our heads, disconnected from what’s in our hearts.
Mercury is in Taurus from May 15-June 3. When Mercury is in Taurus, our thinking is down to earth, solid, and grounded. Common sense reigns over more fanciful thinking. We communicate more deliberately under this influence, and our minds are oriented to the world of the five senses. We prefer the tried and true rather than new ways of thinking.
Attention to one thing at a time can simplify our lives, but we may be in danger of narrow, overly conservative, or rigid thinking. It’s a time of practical intelligence and comfortably-paced decisions and thought processes. We’re capable of (and content with) rote, routine, deliberate, or monotonous work and methods.
Venus is in Taurus from April 29-May 23. In Taurus, Venus is naturally very sensual, content, and possessive. We seek security and value those things that are long-lasting. Our appetite for pleasure is strong.
The sign of Taurus values the here and now and the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance figure strongly during the Venus-in-Taurus cycle. Holding on to someone or something we love is our tendency under this influence.
The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own.
On the financial side, Venus in Taurus looks for high-quality, solid, practical, and long-lasting items. Holding on to our possessions is more likely now. With art, tastes, and pleasures, we prefer things that are earthy, natural, and grounded. We can be somewhat indulgent at this time. Uncertainty bothers us more than usual–we favor stability over excitement in love and pleasure.
Venus is in Gemini from May 23-June 17. With Venus in Gemini, we have a finger in every pie. Curiosity motivates us on romantic and social levels. “Variety is the spice of life” is the motto now. We are friendly, communicative, charming, and interested.
While it’s a time when we can be animated and fun, we may also keep our distance on an emotional level. Attractions often begin with words, as we tend to bond more readily on a mental level while Venus is in Gemini. We’re most attracted to mentally interesting people. Sometimes, our curiosity leads us into relationships that we might not form otherwise. The shadow side of Gemini is fickleness or disinterest in profundity.
Venus in Gemini is flirtatious, captivating, and adaptable. We ask questions and want to keep things light and lively. During this transit, we do best when we’re mentally engaged and our desire for variety is addressed. Social stimulation is appealing. Good fortune with transportation and communication can figure strongly.
Mars is in Aries from April 30-June 9. Mars feels at home in Aries, one of the signs that it rules, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident.
Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
We pursue our goals straightforwardly, confidently, unabashedly, and directly with Mars in Aries. The same goes for expressing anger. We want to be first, come first, and do things on our own–our independence, enterprise, and initiative are well-developed.
This transit is better for endeavors that require courage and strong but not necessarily sustained passion and energy. We don’t want to look back or overthink–we only concern ourselves with what we can accomplish right now. Not inclined to beat around the bush, we confidently pursue our desires.
Jupiter is in Taurus until the 25th, when it enters Gemini.
Jupiter began its transit of Taurus on May 16th, 2023, and continues its transit of the sign until May 25th, 2024. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Taurus. Read more about Jupiter’s upcoming transit of Gemini.
Saturn transits Pisces from March 7th, 2023 until May 24th, 2025, and Sep 1st, 2025, to Feb 13th, 2026. Read about Saturn’s transit of Pisces.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Pluto transitions from Capricorn to Aquarius in 2023 and 2024. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Pluto retrograded back into Capricorn, and was in Capricorn until January 20th, 2024. Pluto is in Aquarius from January 20th to September 1st, when it will retreat into Capricorn once again. Note: Pluto is slow-moving through the zodiac signs!
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Taurus from April 29-May 23. In Taurus, Venus is usually quite content, but can be possessive. We seek security and value that which lasts. Our appetite for pleasure is strong. Taurus values the here and the now as well as the world of the five senses. Tangible and physical expressions of love and romance are most important now. Holding on to someone we love is our tendency under Venus in Taurus. The shadow side of this is excessive possessiveness and treating our partners as objects that we own or want to own.
Venus is in Gemini from May 23-June 17. In Gemini, Venus is communicative, sociable but emotionally aloof, insatiably curious, and a little bit flighty. Fickleness with our affections is a strong possibility, but the desire for a meeting of minds is strong and the urge to socialize dominates. Some detachment from our emotions is likely, which may be a breath of fresh air for some. The lines of communication open, although we may only scratch the surface of things. Under this influence, love is playful and lighthearted. Fickleness is the shadow side of Venus in Gemini.
This week: On Sunday, we’re ready to explore, experiment, and change things up. We want to move forward fearlessly into the future.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, our feelings expand. Our passions are stirred and intense, but we’re generous with one another, ready to give each other the benefit of the doubt. We have large appetites for love and pleasure. There may be some overstating or overindulgence now, however. Still, we are inclined to see the good in people and situations.
On Friday and Saturday, we seek a deep love in which we can merge souls and personalities. We are quite devoted to our partners, and we seek such devotion in return. A Venus-Pluto trine supports intimacy, understanding, and depth in our connections. This is a strong week for relationships.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Taurus A love of music, an appreciation for sensual pleasures and others of the finer things in life – such are the signs of the cycle which has begun for you. This is aesthetic and artistic to be sure, but it is also practical and materialistic: you develop a keen appreciation for the value of things, including the money it takes to buy them.
Venus conjunct Uranus May 17-18. We have a taste for the unusual and the avant garde. We are itching for a change. What makes a person unique is more attractive under this influence. Excitement and newness are valued over permanence in social relationships. Freedom is more important than intimacy just now. We lose our fears of taking risks in love and social situations. Romantic infatuations, gossip, unanticipated opportunities socially or financially. We have a greater need for self-expression, personal freedom, and social excitement.
Venus parallel Uranus May 19. There can be spontaneous meetings and forward movement in our relationships. We have good instincts for future trends. We embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit. Peculiar, sudden, or avant garde attractions. This is an exciting but unstable energy. Friendship in love relationships becomes more important.
Venus parallel Jupiter May 21-22. We are charitable with others and have a stronger desire than usual to find meaning in our relationships. There may be some overstating or overindulgence now, however.
Venus conjunct Jupiter May 22-23. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. An excellent time (all things considered) to begin a new relationship, or renew an old/existing one.
Venus sextile Neptune May 22-23. Unusual attractions that add imagination, inspiration, and emotional “color” to our lives may occur now. We are attuned to the subtleties of human interaction, and we are more inclined to naturally cooperate with others. An imaginative, romantic time.
Venus trine Pluto May 24-25. Powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions. Relationships are intense and deep, but not draining.
Venus semi-square Mars May 28-29. Tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging.
Venus semi-square Chiron May 28-29. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, May 19th, from 11:49 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mars), until the Moon enters Scorpio the next day, Monday, May 20th, at 6:34 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, May 23rd, from 3:28 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Neptune), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 4:24 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, May 25th, from 10:47 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Neptune), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 11:36 AM EDT.
May 2024:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on the 23rd, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). From the Full Moon on the 23rd forward, the Moon is waning.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, there are no windows of opportunity this week.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Sun sextile Neptune. We’re at the right place at the right time, probably because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in”. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits like no drug can. A good time for self-improvement programs or efforts. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence. We are able to see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that allows for, and even finds beauty in, differences.
Sun semi-square Mars. Circumstances spur us into action. Aggressiveness and conflicts are possible now. As long as we channel the excess energy constructively, instead of wasting our time arguing, we can accomplish much. We may have “spring fever” now, no matter what the season! We could find ourselves driven by a restless desire to do something; but without a well-defined goal, we tend towards impulsive actions and get ourselves into needless arguments.
Sun trine Pluto. We are able to get to the bottom of things now. We are more decisive than usual, and our abilities to concentrate and focus help us achieve what we set out to do. Endurance, the power to achieve, an opportunity to draw upon our past and to capitalize on resources, and strategy are all themes of this influence. This is a very positive aspect for starting a money-making endeavor (all things equal) or a new project. Leadership skills are in focus and strong. We are more able to connect with others in terms of shared goals and interests. The focus now is on eliminating negative or superficial elements in our lives.
Venus conjunct Jupiter. A potentially magical transit when we are especially generous and giving, optimistic, and kind towards others. We might also be quite indulgent under this influence. We might be tempted to overspend or overstate our feelings now. We are sociable, fun-loving, and desirous of sharing our happiness with others. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. This can be an excellent influence for beginning a new relationship or financial undertaking, or for renewing and refreshing existing ties with others.
Venus sextile Neptune. We are more imaginative and attuned to the world of beauty and romance today. We see the best in people and situations, and we might maneuver things to support this perception. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. A “magical” time on a romantic and social level is possible now.
Jupiter sextile Neptune. Idealistic and humanitarian goals or impulses surface now. Making connections with others from a different background may figure. Widening our minds through unusual or different experiences can be part of the picture. Practical considerations could take a back seat now. Generosity and compassion increases, and our faith is boosted. We more easily make personal sacrifices for what we believe to be the better good.
Venus trine Pluto. An excellent time for finances and for relationships, all things equal. Our feelings are intense and impassioned, but not in an offensive or destructive way. The need to share on deeper levels is strong now. A spiritual regeneration through love is possible.

MAY 19
Today’s Sun-Neptune sextile adds a sensitive and spiritual dimension to the day’s energies. This influence helps us tune into our imaginations, enhancing our instinctual judgment. We see things from a perspective that celebrates our differences, taking things as they come and finding meaning in our experiences more readily than usual. This transit sets an excellent mood for respecting our intuition, leaving us tuned in, inspired, and charitable. What feels like fate may have to do with a good sense of timing and a feeling of being in sync with the universe. Emotional or mental refreshment helps us gain perspective. But while this aspect favors going with the flow, we’re prepared to challenge ourselves or step out of our comfort zones if it means we’re growing, improving, and moving forward. As Mars aligns with the Moon’s North Node later today, it can move us to pursue our goals or connect with someone, sparking a sense of motivation and inspiration.
The Moon is void from 11:49 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mars), until the Moon enters Scorpio the next day, Monday, May 20th, at 6:34 PM EDT.
MAY 20
The Sun moves into the sign of Gemini today, where it will transit until June 20th. Knowledge and diversity motivate us with the Sun in Gemini for the coming month. We are more sociable, intellectual, and curious under this influence. Because we’re so curious and aware of all our options, it’s easy to scatter our energies. We are more communicative and versatile, although we can also be unreliable during this cycle. We’re prepared to trade, share, exchange, pass on news, teach, guide, and learn. Gathering information is in the spotlight during the Sun-in-Gemini cycle, and we benefit from this transit’s objectivity. However, it may be difficult to get our message across effectively in spots today with Jupiter opposite Pallas. Temporarily, we may not have the interest or attention to detail nor the discipline to back up our plans or ideas. The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 6:34 PM EDT when it moves into Scorpio. The Libra Moon inclines us to focus on equality and fairness or balance, while the Moon in Scorpio draws us to transformative and emotionally exciting experiences. We’re interested in discovering deeper truths and motives.
The Moon continues its void period until 6:34 PM EDT, when it enters Scorpio.
MAY 21
The Sun semi-squares Mars midday, casting a somewhat tense or aggressive tone to the first half of the day, and we should resist pressure to act too soon. If we have unfinished business, we can feel impatient or restless now. However, it’s crucial to remember the importance of patience and strategic thinking in such situations. With this influence, we do better with a well-defined goal, but we may want to reach that goal more quickly than is currently possible. We can accomplish much if we channel the excess energy constructively instead of wasting time arguing. Especially as the day advances, we have a strong desire to learn, reason things out, and gain knowledge to empower ourselves. It’s an excellent time to collaborate with someone to generate ideas or solve problems and enjoy mental rapport. Feelings might develop for someone due to what is said or a mental connection made. Today’s Scorpio Moon is intense, strategic, and perceptive.
MAY 22
Today, the Scorpio Moon uncovers the hidden layers of situations, heightening our intuition and making us more observant, resourceful, and ready to investigate matters. This lunar influence brings heightened emotional intensity and focus. Additionally, the Sun’s trine to Pluto this morning adds a layer of seriousness and intensity to the first half of the day. This transit is a boon, helping us focus our energies to our advantage. Delving deeply into a matter can be satisfying and rewarding. We’re exceptionally resourceful and efficient under this influence. It sets up just the right energy for gravitating toward people and situations that help us succeed or advance our goals. Shared goals and interests connect us with others. The focus now is on eliminating negative elements in our lives, particularly in pursuing work or health goals, so that we can move ahead with more conviction. This transit encourages cooperation and practical ability. We might enjoy an opportunity to draw upon our past and capitalize on our talents, communication skills, intelligence, and resources.
As the day progresses, a Venus-Jupiter parallel and upcoming alignment between the planets fill us with hopefulness, generosity, and friendliness. This transit encourages us to give one another the benefit of the doubt, fostering a cooperative and forgiving atmosphere. It also elevates our expectations, inspiring us to indulge in love, pleasure, and learning. We might be tempted to overspend or overstate our feelings, but our open hearts and robust appetite for love and pleasure bring joy and positivity to our day.
MAY 23
A Full Moon occurs this morning at 9:53 AM EDT in the sign of Sagittarius when the Moon opposes the Gemini Sun. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and an emotional period of romance, fertilization, and relationships. The Gemini Sun encourages us to pay more attention to facts and logic, while the Sagittarius Moon persuades us to intuit and think more broadly. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the “here and now.” Gemini is comfortable in–and an expert on–its immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond it. Neglecting either end of the axis will backfire–we’re best off seeking a balance. This Full Moon is about communication, attitude, and a sense of adventure. The Sagittarius Full Moon is freeform and impulsive. It harmonizes with Neptune and Pluto, and the Sun and Venus have just recently aligned with Jupiter, bringing a sense of good luck, goodwill, inspiration, and determination to see things through, creating a harmonious and balanced energy that we can all tap into.
A captivating long-term transit forms today: Jupiter sextile Neptune, sparking wonder and magic. Just before Venus embarks on a new sign journey, it intertwines with this energy, aligning with Jupiter and harmonizing with Neptune. These energies usher in a time of warmth, generosity of spirit, and joyfulness, where we’re delighted to give one another the benefit of the doubt.
With the Jupiter-Neptune sextile, we seek inspiration or are inspired to follow a dream or vision or to pursue a cause. We consider our dreams, imagination, and compassion as we plan out or pursue our objectives, and we may feel supported or encouraged spiritually. We are inclined to see the good in people and situations. It’s a one-off aspect but a longer-term influence. Jupiter is expanding our desire for security, comfort, abundance, earthy or sensual experiences, money, and material things while in the sign of Taurus. As it harmonizes with spiritual Neptune in Pisces, we’re more likely to factor in our spiritual values and need for imagination, romance, and concern or compassion for others into our pursuit.
We’re finding the best in people and our relationships or pleasures today. We approach one another more gently and sensitively than usual and embrace loving, non-possessive feelings. Ideally, this is a time for decompressing, winding down, and tapping into our intuition. We might put our faith into a cause, loved ones, or a pet project. Venus forms its conjunction with Jupiter and sextile with Neptune while traveling the last degree of the sign of Taurus, pointing to pivotal feelings and strong impulses. It can certainly be a time of high drama. A creative aspect between Venus and Saturn helps bring us down to earth. We’re inclined to maneuver and plan tastefully. We may be showcasing our reliability and loyalty.
As Venus ventures into the sign of Gemini this afternoon, a new chapter in our astrological journey begins, lasting until June 17th. During this cycle, curiosity becomes our guiding star, motivating us on romantic and social levels. We’re drawn to variety and become remarkably sociable, engaged, interested, and communicative. A strong sense of fun permeates our interactions, but we may also maintain some emotional distance. Attractions often begin with words in the weeks ahead, as we bond more readily on a mental level with Venus in Gemini. However, we should be mindful of our fickleness with affections and pleasures, a trait that may surface during this time.
The Moon is void from 3:28 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Neptune), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 4:24 AM EDT.
MAY 24
Today’s Sagittarius Moon is peppy, spirited, and carefree. However, the Moon is in harmony with Mars but in conflict with Saturn in the early afternoon. While there can be warm and passionate feelings, poor timing and defensiveness can interrupt the natural flow of things. Interactions and feelings are complicated now. With a Mars-Saturn semi-sextile, knowing whether to push ahead or wait patiently is challenging. It can be hard to wholeheartedly throw ourselves into a particular pursuit or action without sensing we’re neglecting something more important or necessary. But by later today, we more readily connect with a sense of purpose.
MAY 25
With the Venus-Pluto trine this morning, we can feel pleasantly passionate and focused on a person, situation, connection, or project. The need to share or enjoy life on more profound levels is pleasantly intense. This influence helps us connect with what we love and cherish. Under this influence, we might narrow our focus to our advantage. We seek to grow, improve, or develop our attachments. Recognizing the value of patience, we’re more strategic and likely to gain new insight into business and personal relationships.
On the other hand, Mercury’s semi-square to Neptune points to some cloudy thinking or a tendency to daydream rather than pay attention to the facts as the day advances. We may not express ourselves clearly, or others are not reading our messages well.
Jupiter enters Gemini today and will transit the sign for over a year–until June 9th, 2025. This Jupiter in Gemini cycle presents a unique opportunity for personal growth and self-improvement. We place strong emphasis and value on the intellect, seeing opportunities to grow and succeed through intellectual, verbal, and written channels. We want to learn, share, and connect, and we’re more inclined to believe that intelligence and knowledge are the major keys to solving problems. Communication and contact are valued. We attract the most good fortune when we use our wit and ingeniousness, are versatile, sociable, curious, and put others at ease with friendliness and sincere curiosity.
While Jupiter in Gemini brings forth numerous opportunities, it’s important to be aware of potential pitfalls. These include a lack of follow-through, an abundance of ideas without a clear plan of action, gossip, information overload, fickleness, ambivalence, overthinking, and indecision. For instance, we may find ourselves taking on too many tasks and losing focus. Being mindful of these tendencies can help us navigate this transit more effectively.
Jupiter in Gemini brings a sense of joy in staying connected. We delight in getting–and keeping–in touch. It’s a powerful time to enhance our communication skills, and it’s an excellent period for upgrading the systems, machines, or devices that keep us mobile and connected–for example, phones, cars, bikes, computers, and so forth. This transit opens up new avenues or channels for communicating and transiting, promising a future filled with improved connections and interactions.
With Jupiter in Gemini, our horizons expand, and we’re presented with a plethora of options. Whether there are more options or we see more options, it’s a time of possibilities. This transit offers opportunities for improvement and growth in various areas, including sales, education, representation, teaching, guiding, marketing, writing, editing, journalism, information gathering and relaying, transport, touring, languages, commerce, aviation, and communications. Notably, there can be significant good fortune or experiences surrounding communication and learning. Pursuits and fields that require dexterity, novelty, logic, gathering, collating, reporting, quick thinking, and agility are particularly favored. With Jupiter in Gemini, we’re drawn to learning programs that focus on ideas, fact-gathering, interaction, and discussion. Belief systems that foster connection and encourage conversation, discussion, and questions are more appealing, promising a period of intellectual and personal enrichment.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
When the Moon is in Capricorn
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don't want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence--even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Taurus The cycle now dawning in your life emphasizes stability, substance, practicality, and the concept of value – value in the material as well as psycho-spiritual sense. This marks a time of building to last, of appreciating the substantial rather than ephemeral. Consolidating past gains rather than focusing on radical new departures is likely to be a major theme for you during this cycle. Appreciating the finer things of life is another hallmark of this phase, which marks a time when you should be concentrating on “smelling the roses” rather than passing them by in such a hurry.
Sun in Gemini The cycle which begins for you now will be marked by a more intense focus on mental and communicative activity than you may ever have experienced before. It’s a time of more involvement with other people, a time for gathering information, and a time when you’re apt to be more on the go than ever. There is likely to be an emphasis on reading, writing, studying, and all forms of exchanging information with others in the years ahead – and it will all serve as a path for self-discovery and personal development.
Mercury in Taurus “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” – that’s the key to the way you think at a time like this. Practical, utilitarian ideas are the ones that make the most sense now – putting them to good use is a focus for you. Material things are foremost on your mind in many respects: an emphasis on the real rather than the ideal.
Venus in Gemini Saying (or writing) it with style comes natural now. A yen for variety is a hallmark of this phase, and this especially applies to romantic experience and artistic tastes. (The latter tends to focus on literature in general and poetry in particular.) A sociable, congenial, slightly frivolous orientation sets in.
Mars in Aries Fresh challenges and initiatives light your fires now, as a new cycle begins in your life – lots of energy, a powerful urge to be first or come out on top. Away with the old and on to the new – let no one and nothing stand between you and your objective! Headstrong impulses and rash courage can take you far … sometimes in harm’s way, if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Taurus A kind of Midas touch is signaled by the new cycle now dawning in your life. Prosperity and security take center stage in your thoughts; a gentle but committed conservatism brings you all kinds of good things. Take care of the material things, and the spiritual will take care of itself: that’s your orientation now.
Jupiter in Gemini Facilitating the transfer of ideas and information takes on a special priority for you now. Writing, studying, and communicating play a bigger role in your life as a result. The belief that well-informed people will make the right decisions becomes an article of faith. Just remember: sometimes people know the right thing to do and STILL do something different!
Saturn in Pisces Making peace with the past, coming to terms with karmic debts: these are some of the issues that confront you as a new phase begins in your life. Failure to face these things can cause setbacks and put obstacles in your path. Learn to look beyond the narrowly personal and selfish or you’ll get in over your head.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
