The FULL MOON/LUNAR ECLIPSE occurs on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 12:14 AM EDT.
Early Monday, a Lunar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Scorpio.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Taurus forms an opposition to the Moon in Scorpio. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This Full Moon is a total Lunar Eclipse — the second Lunar Eclipse while the North Node transits Taurus and one of many eclipses falling along the Taurus-Scorpio sign axis (the first eclipse in these signs happened in November 2021, and the final one along this axis will occur in October 2023).
This eclipse is one of several cosmic pushes that puts us in touch with our material and emotional needs and our attachments.
Our feelings count, and we’ll see and feel their power now, paving the road for new directions. However, this can be an impulsive and misguided time for acting. It’s better to observe, take in, and process before jumping into action.
This is a time to work on clearing up past patterns that have been holding us back from personal fulfillment, particularly those that are related to sharing, dependency, and money or resources. We experience a greater awareness of problems and especially lacks or flaws, and they’re significant. Our feelings about a lingering problem or matter can become very clear now.
The eclipse’s square to Saturn does put a damper on our emotional discoveries, while its sextile to Mars suggests we’re resourceful, easily discovering ways to make things happen. There can be exaggeration of blocks or obstacles, but our feelings are not discountable since they’re based on real feelings.
The Taurus-Scorpio polarity deals with the balance between all that is mine (Taurus) and all that is yours (Scorpio). It also emphasizes the concept of form (Taurus) versus transformation (Scorpio). While Taurus deals with matter, personal values, material goods, possessions, and security, Scorpio rules the destruction of form, shared possessions, change, and transformation. The Sun in Taurus encourages happiness with the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Moon draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries.
Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of an intimate nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out.
Over the coming months, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings — we need to express them. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between collecting and sharing.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet.
Because this Full Moon is a Total Lunar Eclipse and part of a set of eclipses falling along the Taurus-Scorpio axis (from November 2021 to October 2023), it holds more weight and is one of several cosmic pushes toward understanding and improving your attachments, financial state, and intimate life.
This Lunar Eclipse harmonizes with Mars, Neptune, and Pluto, but forms a square to Saturn. We have conviction and tenacity, and we are willing to make necessary changes, but there can be blockages and obstacles to manage. See also Eclipse Dates: Tables.
See more about this Lunar Eclipse.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 25 degrees and 18 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 20 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
This second chart wheel includes some additional points, such as Chiron, the four major asteroids, and Eris, for further detail.

This week: The Sun is in Taurus until it enters Gemini on May 20th; Mercury is in Gemini; Venus is in Aries; Mars is in Pisces.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
The Sun in Taurus is the connoisseur and sensualist. It’s patient, stubborn, earthy, stable, and rooted. The Sun-in-Taurus cycle is a good one for maintaining or building, as well as enjoying and appreciating what’s already in place. While the Taurus Sun is slow to warm up, it’s stable and persevering once it does. We value what’s long-term, strong, and lasting during this phase.
The Sun is in Gemini from May 20-June 21. Knowledge and diversity motivate us with the Sun in Gemini. We are more sociable, intellectual, and insatiably curious under this influence. We tend to scatter our energies due to this curiosity and awareness of all of our options. We are more communicative and versatile, but we can also be unreliable.
Gemini represents duality and mediation. Gemini’s energy is intelligent, optimistic, observant, and adaptable. It’s skeptical, ready to consider alternate ways of thinking. We’re prepared to trade, share, exchange, pass on news, teach, guide, and learn.
We gather information during the Sun-in-Gemini cycle, and we benefit from this transit’s objectivity. We’re quick-witted, cheerful, engaging, and we easily adapt, observe, and listen–it’s a clever and crafty influence.
On the downside, we can be gossipy, overly intellectual, or too rational when a softer touch would be more appropriate. As we relay and process information, we could be living too much in our heads, disconnected from what’s in our hearts.
Mercury is in Gemini from April 29-May 22, and later, June 13-July 5. When Mercury is in Gemini, we are especially communicative, curious, and sociable. Mercury rules Gemini and feels right at home in the sign. We tend to take more pleasure in gaining a superficial knowledge of many subjects rather than dig deep into any one topic.
When it comes to making a point or debating, we are especially astute while Mercury is in Gemini. We are attracted to wordplays, puns, and negotiations, and we’re easily distracted. It’s a time when we’re more interested in trivia, information tidbits, and detached observations. There can be frequent changes of mind and subject. We’re flexible and quick to grasp topics.
Venus is in Aries from May 2-28. With Venus in Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past–it’s a brand new day! It’s time to make things work right now.
Aries is known for a love of the chase and the conquest, but Aries love can be longstanding as long as it remains relatively fresh. Aries is blunt–there’s no sugar-coating with Aries. This can sting, but rarely is Aries energy mean or petty. Saying it like it is is important to the sign. Desires are strong and expressed spontaneously, enthusiastically, and directly. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.
While Venus is in Aries, we gravitate to Aries-like activities, pleasures, pastimes, and objects of interest. Our tastes can veer toward action, new enterprise, conquests, courageous or daring acts, and so forth. We can be somewhat impulsive with our money or entertainment choices.
Our interests can be insistent and strong, but possibly short-lived. It’s not the best time for holding onto money. We might pour our resources too quickly into new ventures or projects but tire of these things just as rapidly.
Mars is in Pisces from April 14-May 24. We tend to feel less motivated to go after traditional goals, and more motivated to pursue spiritual or emotional drives during this cycle. We dislike confrontation during this trend. Our output is variable rather than straightforward, and our energy is similarly up and down.
We may put others’ needs ahead of our own, and our more idealistic side comes to the fore. During this cycle, going after what we want becomes less straightforward and more complicated!
Jupiter is in Aries this week.
Jupiter is in Aries from May 10 to October 28, 2022. This is part one of two, with the second and final part occurring from December 20, 2022, to May 16, 2023. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Aries.
Jupiter will head back into Pisces from October 28 to December 20, 2022–the final part of three in the Jupiter-in-Pisces transit. Read more about the Jupiter in Pisces transit.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Aries from May 2 to 28. In Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is very exciting to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient when it comes to matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past. Aries prefers to seduce rather than be seduced, to chase rather than be chased.
This week: On Sunday, the 15th, we’re open to love, romance, and connection. Powerful energy is with us for breaking through a problem area in relationships with the goal of repairing and healing. We are open to romantic feelings and more willing than usual to act upon them. This is a good time to make a resolution to repair, heal, and improve relationships. At the same time, our feelings are a little volatile. A layer of competitiveness can emerge.
On Tuesday, while we’re not necessarily saying the right things, we’re ready to grow through our missteps or through awkward moments. We’re particularly sensitive, and we might learn of something from the past that bothers us.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Aries Romance at the drop of a hat is part and parcel of the cycle you have just begun. Winning the hearts of others can be a challenge you’re eager to accept – and the thrill of the chase might be most of the fun. Is it the pursuit of happiness – or the happiness of pursuit?
Venus conjunct Chiron May 14-15. Healing energy is brought to love relationships, and a new cycle begins. A commitment-friendly transit. Love can heal old wounds. We are open to romantic feelings, and more willing to act upon them. This is a good time to make a resolution to repair, heal, and improve relationships.
Venus contra-parallel Mars May 14-15. Passions are stimulated and intense. Fine line between love and hate. Competitiveness.
Venus semi-square Mercury May 17. Communications between lovers are superficial and unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. Superficiality in romantic expression may exist now.
Venus parallel Chiron May 23. We readily connect our loving feelings to our need for healing and repairing.
Venus sextile Saturn May 23-24. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. A new sense of realism in existing partnerships. Relationships begun under this influence possess a distinctly practical theme, almost as if the partnership is a business endeavor.
Venus square Pluto May 26-27. Intense passions, but there’s a hidden agenda. Jealousy and possessiveness are high, in direct proportion to fear of losing partnership. Avoid starting a new relationship at this time, because it can be characterized by these energies.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, May 16th, from 5:29 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 7:52 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, May 18th, from 12:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 8:03 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Friday, May 20th, from 8:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to the Sun), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 8:54 AM EDT.
May 2022:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on the 16th, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). After the Full Moon on the 16th, the Moon is waning, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, again with some exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from Thursday, May 19th, at approximately 5:00 PM EDT, until Friday, May 20th, at approximately 7:55 AM EDT, while the Moon is in Capricorn. Note that Mercury is retrograde and and eclipse has just occurred on May 16th.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Sun square Saturn. As we face obstacles to our goals, we begin to see the tools with which we have to overcome them. A heavy dose of realism seems forced upon us under this influence, but our efforts to measure up to expectations can ultimately increase our confidence in our ability to be responsible for ourselves. This influence is a somber one.
Sun sextile Neptune. We’re at the right place at the right time, probably because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in”. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits like no drug can. A good time for self-improvement programs or efforts. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence. We are able to see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that allows for, and even finds beauty in, differences.
Mercury semi-square Venus. Difficulties in social or romantic communication are possible today. On the other hand, we may make more efforts to be polite and to communicate. Hypersensitivity, and lack of mental discipline. Our minds wander.
Mars conjunct Neptune. Our impulses and desires may be confusing, peculiar, hard to explain, or difficult to understand now. Not content with our regular routines, we tend to crave more drama, glamour, or meaning now. Concentration on practical concerns and affairs may be lacking. We act on our intuition now, sexual fantasies are strong, we strive towards all that is boundless, and our creative impulses are potent. We are less tense and driven, and more relaxed. “What will be, will be” is the attitude now. Inspiration can be found now. This transit favors dancing, swimming, photography, arts, and entertainment.
Sun trine Pluto. We are able to get to the bottom of things now. We are more decisive than usual, and our abilities to concentrate and focus help us achieve what we set out to do. Endurance, the power to achieve, an opportunity to draw upon our past and to capitalize on resources, and strategy are all themes of this influence. This is a very positive aspect for starting a money-making endeavor (all things equal) or a new project. Leadership skills are in focus and strong. We are more able to connect with others in terms of shared goals and interests. The focus now is on eliminating negative or superficial elements in our lives.
Mercury sextile Jupiter. Positive thinking, new insights, and cooperation are themes now. This influence favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, test taking, and making diagnoses and observations. This is a time when we more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and are more open to learning.
Sun semi-square Chiron. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong, but may be hampered by a lack of confidence or a fear of being different.
Mercury conjunct Sun. We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!

MAY 15
Venus aligns with Chiron this morning, and it’s a time to express compassion or forgiveness. We may feel drawn to problem areas so that we can repair them. We more readily see the beauty in human weaknesses and the pain of growing, healing, and restoring. It’s a solid time to build trust in relationships and see each other’s potential, although the process might feel challenging in spots. This afternoon, the Sun forms a square to Saturn and a sextile to Neptune. With this combination, it can be challenging to know where to put our time and energy. It can be all too easy to avoid or deny and accumulate guilt in the process. We should watch for taking on responsibilities that we then regret. Our commitment to others can temporarily interfere with personal comfort levels or relationships. We face obstacles, but this puts us in the position to recognize our ability to overcome them. Ideally, we face reality or the practical side of a situation and assume more responsibility while also attending to our need for imagination. A Lunar Eclipse will occur shortly into the day tomorrow, amping up emotions.
MAY 16
The Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse occurs today at 12:14 AM EDT in the sign of Scorpio. It’s the third eclipse in an eclipse set occurring along the Taurus-Scorpio sign axis (the first appeared in November 2021, and the last will happen in October 2023). We can experience symbolic illumination–something that’s been building inside of us releases now. Our emotions heighten, and we’re likely to awaken to our material and emotional needs and our attachments. We should take some time to process our discoveries since this eclipse tends to magnify our issues. It’s best to watch what we say or put out into the world today since it’s all too easy for things to become exaggerated under this influence. The Moon moves into optimistic Sagittarius at 7:52 AM EDT, and we seek non-routine, spontaneous experiences.
The void Moon occurs from 5:29 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 7:52 AM EDT.
MAY 17
The Moon spends the day in Sagittarius. With this Moon sign, we’re most interested in what’s just, fair, and true. We’re open and generous, and we thrive on good camaraderie. With our great optimism, we don’t allow obstacles to bring us down. We’re not inclined to dwell on the negative, although we can miss much if we overdo this tendency to the point of avoidance. Retrograde Mercury forms a semi-square to Venus tonight, and our words may not reflect what’s in our hearts. As we try to get the words just right, we could fall short with sensitivity. We may be in two minds about a matter–decisions can be hard to come by. Nevertheless, we’re making an extra effort to cooperate. We’re also heading toward a Mars-Neptune conjunction, exact early tomorrow–a transit that occurs approximately every two years. With Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces, we’re seeking inspiration. At the same time, concentrating on practical concerns and affairs may be challenging. We act on our intuition, our fantasies are intense and in the foreground, and our creative impulses are potent. Either we consciously pull back, or our energy levels lag temporarily under this influence. There is a strong need to release pressure and tension. We may actively seek situations that inspire us or aim to put our fantasies into motion. Creative pursuits that involve physical movement are highly favored and could provide excellent outlets for excess, undirected energy. This Mars-Neptune influence favors dancing, swimming, acting, magic, photography, arts, and entertainment. There can be much energy building inside of us, but we may not yet know where we want it to take us, or if we do, how to get there!
MAY 18
The Mars-Neptune conjunction discussed yesterday perfects very early today–a colorful, imaginative, persuasive, and creative combination. Our instincts or impulses are powerful. Everyday fare is not as interesting to us–we’re motivated by our bigger dreams. The Moon continues its transit of Sagittarius until 8:03 AM EDT, after which the Moon is in Capricorn. With the Capricorn Moon, we’re more resolved, determined, and goal-oriented. We seek order and structure in our lives. Our careers, reputation, and objectives are in focus with the Moon in this sensible sign. Situations that require us to keep a cool head work best under this influence since we’re not as easily swept away by our feelings. We’re heading toward a Sun-Pluto trine that’s also quite ambitious and focused.
The void Moon occurs from 12:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 8:03 AM EDT.
MAY 19
The Sun forms a trine to Pluto this morning, and we’re exceptionally resourceful and efficient. It’s a strong time to gravitate towards people and situations that help us succeed or advance our goals. We might enjoy an opportunity to draw upon our past and capitalize on our talents and resources. Shared goals and interests connect us with others. The focus now is on eliminating negative or superficial elements in our lives and going forward with more conviction as a result. Retrograde Mercury’s sextile to Jupiter tonight is also helpful for identifying opportunities. Seeing an old problem in a more positive light can be satisfying. While we benefited from focus and specialization in the morning, a broader vision is important as the day advances. The Moon spends the day in earthly, practical Capricorn.
MAY 20
The Moon continues its transit of Capricorn until 8:54 AM EDT, forming a trine to the Sun just before it moves on to Aquarius. A Sun-Chiron semi-square is a bit awkward–while we have a strong desire to learn and grow through our relationships and experiences, a lack of confidence or a fear of being different can hinder this urge. Still, we’re learning, perhaps getting a better understanding of our ambitions and goals, and becoming more aware of how they support or conflict with our need for independence and personal growth. The Sun enters Gemini later today, where it will transit until June 21st. Knowledge and diversity motivate us with the Sun in Gemini for the coming month. We are more sociable, intellectual, and curious under this influence. We tend to scatter our energies due to this curiosity and awareness of all of our options. We are more communicative and versatile, although we can also be unreliable during this cycle. We’re prepared to trade, share, exchange, pass on news, teach, guide, and learn. We gather information during the Sun-in-Gemini cycle, and we benefit from this transit’s objectivity. The Aquarius Moon from 8:54 AM EDT is fair-minded, impartial, and friendly.
The void Moon occurs from 8:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to the Sun), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 8:54 AM EDT.
MAY 21
The Sun has just entered Gemini, bringing the fresh energy of a new cycle. However, the inferior conjunction of the Sun and Mercury happens today, and we’re looking back before moving forward. It gives us a unique window into the past as it might impact our future. We begin looking at problems or issues from a new perspective and with a new understanding. Significant new ideas are born at this time, and they’re likely to have real staying power or importance in our lives. What we say or write now has an impact, for better or worse! However, we may not have all the facts necessary to reach a definite conclusion, and we might later have to revise plans or decisions. This alignment occurs just after the Sun entered Gemini and just before Mercury moves back into the sign of Taurus. The Moon spends the day in Aquarius, and we’re inclusive and concerned with what’s best for all.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
When the Moon is in Capricorn
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don't want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence--even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
When the Moon is in Aquarius
Attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. This is a time that promotes social gatherings, dealing with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, and progressive changes. We are open to new methods of doing things and we have our eye on the future. It can be hard to stick to schedules now, as personal freedom is most important to us.
The Moon in Aquarius generally favors the following activities: Unusual or radical undertakings, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, joining a group.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Taurus The cycle now dawning in your life emphasizes stability, substance, practicality, and the concept of value – value in the material as well as psycho-spiritual sense. This marks a time of building to last, of appreciating the substantial rather than ephemeral. Consolidating past gains rather than focusing on radical new departures is likely to be a major theme for you during this cycle. Appreciating the finer things of life is another hallmark of this phase, which marks a time when you should be concentrating on “smelling the roses” rather than passing them by in such a hurry.
Sun in Gemini The cycle which begins for you now will be marked by a more intense focus on mental and communicative activity than you may ever have experienced before. It’s a time of more involvement with other people, a time for gathering information, and a time when you’re apt to be more on the go than ever. There is likely to be an emphasis on reading, writing, studying, and all forms of exchanging information with others in the years ahead – and it will all serve as a path for self-discovery and personal development.
Mercury in Gemini A walking encyclopedia, a yen to know a little bit about everything (and everyone): these are the icons of the cycle you have just begun. Talking, writing, keeping a finger on the pulse of all that’s happening … this is a time of study and learning, a cycle of mental challenge, curiosity, and social/intellectual growth. Such things are an end in themselves rather than a means to any other end.
Mars in Pisces There’s a martyr complex in the air, now that this new phase has begun in your life. How can you (or anyone) save the world? It’s a question you’ll probably ask yourself as this cycle continues. Defending the weak, undoing injustice, and tilting at windmills can be a big temptation. You might even win a few hands – but you’ll blister a couple if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Aries Faith in yourself and your future is emphasized as you begin this new cycle. A feeling that anything is possible leads to new ventures, a clean break from the past. At its best, this is a very positive and optimistic new cycle in your life, but at times, overconfidence can border on foolhardy bravery. Don’t burn your bridges behind you!
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
