The FULL MOON occurs on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 2:48 PM EDT.

On Sunday afternoon, the Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Aries forms an opposition to the Libra Moon. It’s a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of something begun at the New Moon. Heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, relationship drama, and epiphanies are themes.

The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents “self,” and Libra represents “other.” Where Aries is about self-assertion, Libra is about compromise. With the Libra Moon, we’re especially aware of our need for relationships and all that comes with maintaining them — compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Sun, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.

This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other, and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability. The Libra Moon is diplomatic, equality-focused, and fair-minded. The Aries Sun values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.

Relationship epiphanies occur now. We’re likely to experience revelations about our independence, need for others, and partnerships.

Venus aligns with the Sun in this lunation chart, and Venus rules the Libra Moon, making this configuration particularly useful for resolving conflicts. Saturn is trine the North Node, Mars is conjunct the North Node, and Saturn harmonizes with the Sun and Moon. There can be helpful interactions with superiors or with older or more experienced people, and benefits can come as a result. There can be a choice to structure, limit, or simplify our lives in a significant way that leads to major improvements. The Sun is in Aries from March 20 to April 19. In Aries, the Sun is enthusiastic and spontaneous. We are motivated by the desire to conquer. We are more impulsive and have the urge to initiate. Aries is a sign that bounces back quickly–there is little shame with Aries. It is brave and pioneering, and somewhat innocent. We are direct and rather uncomplicated in our needs, but we can also be short-sighted and lack the desire to plan ahead.

Mercury is in Pisces from March 15 to April 3. When Mercury is in Pisces, our thinking processes are more visual, intuitive, and imaginative. We are especially attuned to the world of emotion, which colors both our thoughts and our communication style. We guess well, express ourselves with imagery, and make decisions intuitively. We are more attracted to consciousness-raising information.

Mercury is in Aries from April 3 to 19. When Mercury is in Aries, we are less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations, and more concerned with reaching a decision…quickly! Our thoughts and ideas are pioneering, and we tend to speak more spontaneously and directly with the planet of communication in bold and assertive Aries.

Venus is in Aries from March 21 to April 14. In Aries, love is spontaneous and direct. The chase is exhilarating to us under this fiery influence. We are bold, fresh, and a little impatient with matters of the heart. We don’t look back with Aries energy. We are not interested in saying sorry or dwelling on the past. It’s a brand new day! We more easily see beauty in human weaknesses, and are less inclined to see fault, or to concern ourselves with fault. It’s a strong time for building trust in relationships, and for seeing potential in one another, although the process might feel painful! Insecurities are revealed and, ideally, cleansed. A new cycle of healing in love begins now.

Sun conjunct Chiron. An opportunity to find a sense of purpose or a “mission” arises now, increasing our confidence. Alternatively, we might face life lessons that get us in touch with the insecurities that hold us back from feeling confident. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong. Problem solving is favored.

Mercury conjunct Neptune. Our intuitive creativity is stimulated under this influence. A very positive transit for artistic and literary endeavors. We get insights into our own minds. Conscious reasoning can be distorted by subconscious matter, so concentrating on cold hard facts can be challenging. Daydreaming, visualization, and prophecy are stimulated. Communications may be unclear, vague, or downright confused. We may be subject to deception. Avoid signing contracts under this influence.

Venus sextile Saturn. Affections stabilize and mature. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. A new sense of realism in existing partnerships comes now. Small advances can be made in business and in partnerships. Openness and self-honesty are vital now, and the focus may be on asserting ourselves and acknowledging our own needs in healthy doses so that we can bring our “whole selves” to our activities. The Moon spends the day in Scorpio, and we seek to probe deeply into topics and understand things rather than scratch the surface today. APRIL 1

The Moon continues its transit of Scorpio only until 1:59 AM EDT when it enters Sagittarius. The Sagittarius Moon is direct, spontaneous, and brave. This Moon position blends well with the Aries Sun’s fiery energy, encouraging a “can do” attitude, and the Moon and the Sun form a trine tonight. We’re enthusiastic. The Sun forms a sextile with the True North Node of the Moon today, encouraging us to grow, improve, and rise to a challenge. A Mercury-Saturn semi-square tonight, however, points to potential delays or miscommunications. We may need to manage some inconveniences in our communications and transit. Mercury is approaching a sextile to Pluto, improving our ability to see more layers of a situation. It’s a good time to let go of something that has kept us bound or stuck in a difficult position. The Moon spends the day in adventurous Sagittarius. The Sagittarius Moon’s opposition to Mars this morning is somewhat volatile, and its square to Neptune early afternoon is potentially disorienting. We should watch for difficulties with boundaries, rules, and limits or for attempts to take the easy way out. Otherwise, this Moon transit inspires us to expand our minds and interests.

APRIL 3

The Moon ends its transit of Sagittarius when it enters Capricorn at 4:14 AM EDT today, turning our attention to our goals and performance. Our responsibilities and practical priorities come into sharper focus. Still, today’s transits encourage pouring our hearts and special attention into a project, pursuit, or relationship. Mercury enters Aries tonight, and until the 19th, Mercury in Aries can feel refreshingly decisive and forward-looking. It can certainly be a time when we’re a bit impatient or terse, but it can feel good not to dwell or spend too much time arriving at conclusions in the weeks ahead. We’re less concerned with objective viewpoints and explanations during this cycle and more concerned with reaching a decision quickly.
