The FULL MOON occurs on Thursday, June 24th, 2021, at 2:40 PM EDT.
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Cancer forms an opposition to the Moon in Capricorn. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Cancer-Capricorn polarity concerns the balance between the private life, domesticity, the need for a home base, and nurturance (represented by Cancer) versus the public life, career, reputation, and accountability (represented by Capricorn). Attachments and love are ruled by Cancer, while achievements and rewards/punishments are ruled by Capricorn. In some ways, this polarity deals with the balance between unconditional love and conditional love. Cancer encourages us to value our home base and our roots, while Capricorn persuades us to consider our sense of duty and responsibility along public or professional lines. While Cancer may be content to be dependent, Capricorn urges us to be grown-up and responsible.
Cancer represents the origin, and Capricorn represents the goal. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do. This Full Moon is about balancing our commitment to our career and families. Something has been building inside of us, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.
The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between roots and direction. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is fresh, unrefined, and not particularly rational as yet.
This lunation harmonizes with Jupiter, suggesting a sense of confidence and ease associated with realizations and epiphanies occurring now.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 3 degrees and 28 minutes of Capricorn, affecting planets at approximately 0 to 8 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) the most.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 3 degrees and 28 minutes of Capricorn opposite the Sun at 3 degrees and 28 minutes of Cancer, affecting people born with personal planets and points at 0 to 8 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) the most.

This week: The Sun is in Gemini to the 21st, when the Sun enters Cancer; Mercury is in Gemini; Venus is in Cancer; Mars is in Leo.
The Sun is in Gemini from May 20 to June 21. Knowledge and diversity motivate us with the Sun in Gemini. We are more sociable, intellectual, and insatiably curious under this influence. We tend to scatter our energies as a result of this curiosity and awareness of all of our options. We are more communicative and versatile, but we can also be unreliable.
The Sun is in Cancer from June 21 to July 22. We are self-protective and insular under this influence. Our attention turns to our nest–our families, homes, and anything that makes us feel “at home”, safe, and secure. Nurturing and taking care of our loved ones and our pet projects comes into focus. Emotions run deep. We are more susceptible to the ups and downs of the Moon while the Sun is in Cancer.
Mercury is in Gemini from May 3 to July 11. When Mercury is in Gemini, we are especially communicative, curious, and sociable. Mercury feels right at home in Gemini, one of the signs that it rules. We tend to take more pleasure in gaining a superficial knowledge of many subjects rather than dig deep into any one topic. We are especially astute when it comes to arguing or making a point. We are attracted to wordplays, puns, and negotiations. We are easily distracted.
Venus is in Cancer from June 2 to 27. In Cancer, Venus is nurturing, protective and self-protective, cautious, and fertile. We experience many emotional ups and downs in love under this influence due to increased sensitivity and impressionability. We are tender, romantic, and attached. Cancer love is dedicated, warm, and devoted. We show our love through our devotion, care, and concern. We are affectionate and cuddly, and are at our best when we feel safe and secure.
Mars is in Leo from June 11 to July 29. In Leo, Mars is proud, self-confident, and grand. We are spirited and have grand goals. We go after what we want in a direct, self-assured manner, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details, and take the least complicated route to our goals. The sex drive is strong, and passion for life is high.
Jupiter is in Aquarius from December 19th, 2020, to May 13, 2021, and then from July 28 to December 28, 2021. Read more about the Jupiter in Aquarius transit. Jupiter is in Pisces from May 13th to July 28th, when it retreats into Aquarius. Jupiter returns to Pisces on December 28th, 2021. There will be another part to this 3-part act in 2022! Read more about the Jupiter in Pisces transit.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Cancer from June 2 to 27. We treat lovers with sympathy and tenderness, providing the emotional nurturing that they need. We tend to “play it safe” when it comes to relationships. Love and devotion are most important to us, and provide us with a sense of inner security. We seek a deep love in which we can merge souls and personalities with our lover. We are quite devoted to our partners, and we seek such devotion in return.
However, we could also become possessive, manipulative, and stifling. Familiarity is more important to us now. Our fear of rejection is overdeveloped, and we offer our hearts cautiously as a result. We pay more attention to our lovers’ feelings than their words. We feel threatened if a lover acts in an impersonal, overly independent, or detached manner. Safe and solid relationships are more appealing. Romantic and emotional hurts are very hard to forget.
This week: On Sunday and Monday, we treat people we love with more tenderness or we see them in a more sensitive, obliging light. We’re particularly open to romance, and we can be quite sensitive to others’ needs and backstories. We see the very best in people now, and this eases our interactions, taking the pressure off in personal relationships.
On Wednesday, envy, jealousy, and possessiveness can enter the picture if we let fear drive our behavior. Buried fears and resentments in our relationships can bubble up and demand attention. It’s a period of intense feelings, as well as possible emotional distress and tension caused by romantic troubles or social manipulation. Fears of betrayal may get the best of us.
However, it’s a strong time for getting in touch with problem areas that may have been undermining us and our relationships. Although this can be purging, troubles can emerge in disruptive ways and mindfulness can help. It might be difficult to get close to one another under these conditions, but with self-honesty, it can be a good time to get in touch with our vulnerability.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Cancer Mothering (or being mothered), sympathy, a yearning to put down roots, and a fondness for things that have stood the test of time – these are some of the hallmarks of the phase that now begins in your life. Romantic and social experiences, as well as artistic tastes, will show evidence of these factors.
Venus parallel the Sun June 17-18. A strong desire for harmony and comfort fill us now. We may be moved to express our affections.
Venus trine Neptune June 20-21. We perceive romantic situations as if they were “designed” just for us. A magical, romantic time. The pleasures of life are experienced fully. Romance is highly favored. We see the very best in people now, and this eases our interactions and takes the pressure off in personal relationships.
Venus opposition Pluto June 23. This is a period of intense feelings, as well as possible emotional distress and tension caused by romantic troubles or social manipulation. An experience of being used or abused physically, emotionally or sexually may cause us suffering or disappointment. Sexually driven emotions are likely now. Fears of betrayal may get the best of us.
Venus contraparallel Pluto June 23. Romantic intensity, a feeling of fatedness, possessiveness, fear of betrayal, and insecurity in relationships. Questions of trust can emerge in relationships. Looking for a commitment.
Venus quincunx Jupiter June 28. A strong desire for the pleasures of life is with us now, although our eyes are often bigger than our stomachs. Troubles in relationships now are likely due to overblown expectations. It can be challenging to find a balance between responsibilities and the desire for self-gratification.
Venus semi-square Mercury June 28-29. Communications between lovers are superficial and unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. Superficiality in romantic expression may exist now.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, June 20th, from 6:52 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to the Sun), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 7:58 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, June 22nd, from 2:43 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 8:56 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, June 23rd, from 10:09 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Neptune), until the Moon enters Capricorn the next day, Thursday, June 24th, at 9:05 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, June 26th, from 8:50 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Venus), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 10:09 AM EDT.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Venus trine Neptune. We are more attuned to the world of beauty, the arts, and the imagination. Compassion, harmony, kindness, and openness characterize this transit. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. This can be a “magical” time on a romantic and social level. The pleasures of life are experienced fully. We see the very best in people now, and this eases our interactions and takes the pressure off in personal relationships. Romance is highly favored.
Sun trine Jupiter. This influence is about growth and expansiveness. We are more aware of moral issues, and have a desire to improve and learn. Optimism and confidence are basic elements in the energy of this transit. We are more willing to take a risk or two, and we are motivated by a desire to impress others. Enthusiasm runs high, and cooperation comes easy. This is generally a good time to schedule new beginnings in business, education, personal relationships, marriage, creative projects, and so forth, all things equal.
Venus opposition Pluto. An intense emotional or sexual attraction, a very revealing, intimate encounter, or a powerful desire to be close to and share our deepest feelings with someone is very likely now. Emotions and issues in a close relationship that have been brewing beneath the surface for quite awhile come to the surface at this time, possibly in a very disruptive way. All of our relationships intensify and we need to be aware of a tendency to act in a rather compulsive, demanding way towards others. This is an “all or nothing” energy. Manipulative behavior, fear of betrayal, and power struggles are possible.
Saturn sextile Chiron. This is a time for feeling competent, effective, and secure. We have a strong sense of both tradition and innovation. We are also more able to express our unique qualities or to go our own way, without stirring up controversy, as we act in a professional, respectful manner. We are humble, and with increased realism, we can pursue our goals with more chance of success.
Mars sesquiquadrate Neptune. Disorganization, lack of drive, lack of forethought, impracticality, and carelessness are strong possible energies to deal with now. Energy and time are too easily wasted. It’s hard to know what we want and where we’re headed under this influence, and passive-aggressive behavior is likely, as we may not feel effective enough to take direct action or assert ourselves directly. There may be a desire to act upon an impractical fantasy, or an unusual impulse.

JUNE 20
The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 7:58 AM EDT when it enters Scorpio. Jupiter stations and turns retrograde today and will remain retrograde until October 18th, dividing its time between the signs of Pisces and Aquarius. During this cycle, we tend to re-think our goals and plans in the areas of life affected by Jupiter’s transit. It’s a time of questioning what we thought we already knew and developing a new perspective on events and beliefs. Recognizing areas of excess or extravagance can help us in this transition. We may need to slow down specific endeavors if they’ve been moving too quickly, or this happens organically. Some enthusiasm may wane as certain realities of time and energy set in. With Jupiter stationary today, we are inclined toward a fair amount of longing and idealism. Tonight, the Sun moves into Cancer, marking the solstice. Until July 22nd, we are self-protective and insular. Our attention turns to our nests–our families, homes, base of operations, and anything that makes us feel safe and secure. Nurturing and taking care of our loved ones and our pet projects come into sharper focus. We’re more invested in our personal lives in the month ahead.
The void Moon occurs from 6:52 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to the Sun), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 7:58 AM EDT.
JUNE 21
The Moon spends the day in the sign of investigative, perceptive Scorpio. While the Moon does battle with Saturn and Uranus this morning, we enjoy a Venus-Neptune trine. We can feel torn between our responsibilities and our sense of freedom. Confrontations or changes of plans can jar us out of our usual routines. Still, with Venus and Neptune in harmony, we trust others first before judging, preferring to cooperate, not compete. We see the very best in people now, which takes the pressure off in personal relationships. We’re also inclined to glamorize objects, situations, and pleasures. We prioritize spiritual and emotional concerns over material ones at this time. It’s easier to tap into our inner spiritual wisdom and draw on compassion. We’re also more attuned to the world of beauty, the arts, and the imagination.
JUNE 22
Mercury turns direct today after over three weeks of retrograde motion. Over the coming weeks, recent problems with communications and decision-making should start to improve. The answers we’ve been waiting for can arrive as information clogs clear. Plans or projects that have stalled might now resume. However, we can be flooded with energies that are hard to make sense of during the shift today. Thus, we might avoid critical decision-making for the time being, if possible. It’s a better day to take in than to take action. It’s also a good idea not to rush conversations and observations. Helping our transition is the energy of an upcoming Sun-Jupiter trine, exact tomorrow morning. Even if some words aren’t perfect, we’re ready to give one another the benefit of the doubt. Enthusiasm runs high, and cooperation comes easily. The Moon continues its transit of passionate, astute Scorpio until 8:56 AM EDT when it enters spirited, truth-seeking Sagittarius.
The void Moon occurs from 2:43 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Sagittarius at 8:56 AM EDT.
JUNE 23
The Moon spends the day in forward-looking Sagittarius. This morning, the Sun forms a trine to Sagittarian ruler, Jupiter, stimulating hope, optimism, and a desire to improve, impress, and do good. We seek to grow and expand a venture, a relationship, our knowledge, personal philosophy, or a self-improvement program. We might make grand gestures now, and we tend to rise above petty problems and differences. Optimism and confidence are core elements in the energy of this transit. Later today, with a Venus-Pluto opposition, we’re confronting areas of our lives where we might be holding onto something too tightly for fear of losing it. There can be confrontations or events that bring complicated feelings and fears to a head. It’s possible we make uncomfortable discoveries, and while some of these can be ultimately helpful, we may be pushing too far for answers right now. We should watch for manipulative behavior that can arise from insecurities or fear of betrayal.
The void Moon occurs from 10:09 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Neptune), until the Moon enters Capricorn the next day, Thursday, June 24th, at 9:05 AM EDT.
JUNE 24
Saturn forms a sextile to Chiron early today. It’s the second of three hits for this longer-term influence–the first happened in February, and the final one will occur in November. This transit follows roughly along the same timeline as the Saturn-Uranus square, helping to soften some of the square’s rough edges. It’s a time for feeling competent, effective, and secure. This transit encourages us to express our unique qualities. We tend to go our own way without stirring up controversy by acting professionally and respectfully. There’s no need for show-boating with this aspect. It helps humble us, and with increased realism, we can pursue our goals with better chances of success. The Moon continues its transit of Sagittarius until 9:05 AM EDT when it enters Capricorn, reaching full this afternoon. The Full Moon occurs at 2:40 PM EDT, reminding us that we can’t ignore our commitments to the outside world. We need to take care of our responsibilities, attend to business, act maturely, and take charge. This Full Moon in Capricorn is a little scattered, and Neptune’s upcoming station can blur some boundaries, but its harmony with Jupiter suggests the good feeling that we’re doing the right thing. It’s a time of epiphanies, turning points, and realizations.
The Moon continues its void period until it enters Capricorn today at 9:05 AM EDT.
JUNE 25
Neptune stations and turns retrograde today, and it will remain retrograde until December 1st. This station can seem to cast a veil over our affairs, and it can be challenging to see things clearly this week. Still, the retrograde cycle itself is a period of increased receptiveness, even if we’re putting some of our dreams on hold. It can be a time of indecision or feeling in limbo, but it can also be a period of personal discovery. We may feel let down by a matter now with the shift happening. However, this can lead us along a new and improved path. With the Moon in Capricorn all day, we’re concerned about our future, and we want to be prepared.
JUNE 26
The Moon continues its transit of Capricorn until 10:09 AM EDT. The Moon aligns with Pluto and opposes Venus before it leaves Capricorn, stirring up some possible relationship drama or tension. Otherwise, the Capricorn Moon is goal-oriented, mindful, and careful. From 10:09 AM, the Aquarius Moon is friendly and fair. We tend to seek intellectual stimulation and unusual or unconventional experiences. Friends, community, groups, causes, and happiness goals are in stronger focus. We’re attracted to the unique, extraordinary, and uncommon. A bit of emotional detachment can be refreshing now.
The void Moon occurs from 8:50 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Venus), until the Moon enters Aquarius at 10:09 AM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
When the Moon is in Capricorn
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don't want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence--even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
When the Moon is in Aquarius
Attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. This is a time that promotes social gatherings, dealing with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, and progressive changes. We are open to new methods of doing things and we have our eye on the future. It can be hard to stick to schedules now, as personal freedom is most important to us.
The Moon in Aquarius generally favors the following activities: Unusual or radical undertakings, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, joining a group.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Gemini The cycle which begins for you now will be marked by a more intense focus on mental and communicative activity than you may ever have experienced before. It’s a time of more involvement with other people, a time for gathering information, and a time when you’re apt to be more on the go than ever. There is likely to be an emphasis on reading, writing, studying, and all forms of exchanging information with others in the years ahead – and it will all serve as a path for self-discovery and personal development.
Sun in Cancer Being more in touch with your emotional roots is a keynote of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. This has to do with feelings, but it’s more than that: it’s about making the things you feel and care about a reality. At some levels, this means a greater focus on family life – parents, children, relatives, the whole domestic scene. On a somewhat broader scale, you’re likely to find that houses and other real property take on greater significance for you. Nurturing is where it’s at in your life now: making things grow and taking care of them, planting seeds that will develop and survive far into the future – that’s what it’s all about.
Mercury in Gemini A walking encyclopedia, a yen to know a little bit about everything (and everyone): these are the icons of the cycle you have just begun. Talking, writing, keeping a finger on the pulse of all that’s happening … this is a time of study and learning, a cycle of mental challenge, curiosity, and social/intellectual growth. Such things are an end in themselves rather than a means to any other end.
Mars in Leo The thrill of the chase, the smell of the greasepaint, the roar of the crowd: that’s what gets your juices flowing now that you’ve entered a new cycle. To be appreciated, to be admired (adored, even) – that’s what you crave. It’s a time of creativity, drama, and passion; a time when grabbing the spotlight and stealing the scene gives you a thrill. Is winning everything? No – but it’s way ahead of whatever comes in second!
Jupiter in Pisces Mysticism, sensitivity to the needs of others, and an awareness of karma (the link between the present and the past): these are your paths to spiritual growth now. Addressing these issues brings you gain and satisfaction at many levels. A tolerance for differences, an understanding of human frailties and shortcomings.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
