Romance & Relationship Report
Daily Trends
The FULL MOON occurs on Saturday, February 27th, 2021, at 3:17 AM EST.
Early Saturday, a Full Moon occurs in Virgo when the Sun in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
With the Virgo-Pisces service axis involved, this Full Moon presses us to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces). Virgo rules the tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools that we use to deal with our spiritual selves.
Some sort of crisis (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the Full Moon occurs in our natal charts.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between work and service, practicality and impracticality, criticism and acceptance. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems.
Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is not particularly rational as yet.
This is an eyes-wide-open time for our work, habits, health, and routines. We are likely to receive strong messages from our intuition.
This Full Moon harmonizes with Uranus, suggesting an easy acceptance of change and progress now.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 8 degrees and 57 minutes of Virgo (opposite the Sun at 8 degrees and 57 minutes Pisces, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 5 to 13 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Pisces; Mercury is in Aquarius; Venus is in Aquarius until the 25th, when Venus moves into Pisces; Mars is in Taurus.
The Sun is in Pisces from February 18 to March 20. With the Sun in Pisces, we are guided by altruistic feelings. We are less motivated to do than we are to feel, imagine, and dream. A “what will be, will be” attitude reigns, and we are guided by a sense of universal correlations. Pisces rules empathy, selfless love, devotion, and wisdom. Its shadow side rules self-pity, a feeling of being victimized by life, passivity, and elusiveness.
Mercury is in Aquarius from January 8 to March 15. [This is an extended stay due to an upcoming retrograde cycle from January 30-February 20.] When Mercury is in Aquarius, we are hungry for knowledge and open to new and original ideas. We begin to think outside of the box, and our thinking becomes more progressive and objective. Our communication and thought patterns are spontaneous, somewhat fragmented, and liberal. This is a time when inventive thinking is at a peak.
Venus is in Aquarius from February 1 to 25. We move towards unconventionality, independence, and freedom as themes in our social relationships under this influence. Aquarius can be just as faithful as Capricorn, but it has to be on his own terms! Experimental relationships are more intriguing now. Being friends as well as lovers is important to us during this cycle. Allowing one another freedom of expression, and treating others fairly, unselfishly, and impartially, are themes now.
Venus is in Pisces from February 25 to March 21. Pisces never sees the world in black-and-white terms. Rather, Pisces sees all the colors of the rainbow. With the goddess of love in Pisces, our love is all-embracing, we are able to forgive and understand, we are seducible and seductive, and we show compassion to our partners. Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach nevertheless, as there is a longing for something that is hard to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be victimized or deluded, as well as evasiveness.
Mars is in Taurus from January 6 to March 3. We are determined, stubborn, and resolute during this cycle. Mars in Taurus can be passive, and is at its strongest when resisting or defending something! In stark contrast to the impulsive Mars in Aries cycle, we tend to pursue our goals by plodding along patiently. Our goal is longevity and long-term satisfaction.
Jupiter is in Aquarius from December 19th, 2020, to May 13, 2021, and then from July 28 to December 28, 2021. Read more about the Jupiter in Aquarius transit.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Aquarius from February 1 to 25. While Venus was in Capricorn, we valued enduring connections, reliability, and faithfulness. We took expressing our feelings seriously, and we also took our sweet time warming up to others! Generally, we kept our “cool” in relationships.
With Venus now in Aquarius, we still keep our “cool” in relationships, but in a detached and impersonal sort of way. Unconventional set-ups become more appealing. Bringing the spirit of friendship into romantic relationships is a positive use of Venus in Aquarius energy. Relationships that fairly scream “alternative” appeal to us now. It’s all about being open-minded and somewhat detached with Aquarius energy dominating the love arena.
With Venus in Aquarius, it’s best to go into dates with new people casually, with no expectations and no strings. Melodrama and emotionalism simply won’t work. We may also find ourselves attracted to–or attracting–people who are not our usual “type.”
Venus is in Pisces from February 25 to March 21. Like Aquarius, Pisces love is universal. However, Pisces draws no bounds in love. With Venus in Pisces, we have compassion (and perhaps attraction) for those who are left out, overlooked, or victimized. We are self-sacrificing, and we have a hard time setting up borders. The walls go down, we have a hard time saying no (especially if our compassion is engaged), but we are also prone to avoiding all that makes us feel uncomfortable.
Wishful thinking is one expression of Venus in Pisces. We can too easily believe what we want to believe. People can be hard to pin down, and love is hard to define under this influence. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deluded, as well as evasiveness.
This week: On Monday and Tuesday, we might raise questions of freedom, change, growth, specialness, and experimentation in our relationships.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Aquarius A love for the unusual, a distaste for stodgy old rules and conventions, a feeling that you’re above the petty-bourgeois stuff and nonsense: that’s what a new cycle brings into your life now. (“I love humanity; it’s people I can’t stand!”) Unconventional romantic and social connections are likely at a time like this.
Venus in Pisces A martyr complex, a love for the underdog, a search for your soul mate: such are the experiences associated with the new cycle you’re now just beginning. A yen for soul-stirring romance, a weakness for the weak, and a tendency to idealize people and relationships … very aesthetic, very other-worldly.
Venus semi-square Chiron February 18. Love cannot be forced. This is not a commitment-friendly transit, as we may feel alienated for no apparent reason and unwilling to give of ourselves.
Venus parallel Mercury February 18-19. A congenial time when we socialize and converse more readily and appreciate diplomacy.
Venus square Mars February 18-19. Passions run high under this influence. Sexual tensions and competitiveness are possible, and there can be conflicts that arise from distinct differences between romantic and sexual needs. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which need not be difficult. It can be stimulating, creative, passionate, and invigorating.
Venus contra-parallel Uranus February 22-23. Questions of freedom, change, specialness, and experimentation are raised in our relationships.
Venus sextile Uranus March 2-3. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit.
Venus semi-square Pluto March 5-6. Tendencies to look for something wrong in a relationship. Jealousy raises its ugly head.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, February 21st, from 1:39 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Cancer at 10:53 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, February 23rd, from 11:53 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Pluto), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Wednesday, February 24th, at 7:23 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, February 26th, from 6:32 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mars), until the Moon enters Virgo at 12:07 PM EST.

This Week’s Aspects
Mars trine Pluto. This is a powerful aspect that helps us to focus on our goals, to take decisive action, and to go after what we want without stepping on others’ toes. We are willing to explore alternatives rather than simply relying on the tried and true. We are not afraid of a challenge and are willing to attempt to overcome obstacles. This is a strong energy for reworking or overhauling a project.
Sun sextile Uranus. We are willing to adapt to new circumstances, ideas, and unfamiliar situations. It’s a good time to join organizations and groups and to attend meetings or social events, as these can be enlightening. We can find creative solutions to problems now and effect positive changes. Flexibility is the key to success under this influence.

FEBRUARY 21
The Moon spends most of the day in Gemini (until 10:53 PM EST), and we’re communicative, connected, and curious. We’re noticing and appreciating the more unique elements of people, situations, and projects today. With a Venus-Pallas alignment, this is a time for connecting with others who share similar ideas and ideals. We can thoroughly enjoy a sense of mission now. While we begin the day craving more interconnectivity, we seek more comfort and familiarity tonight with the Moon’s move into Cancer at 10:53 PM.
The void Moon occurs from 1:39 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Venus), until the Moon enters Cancer at 10:53 PM EST.
FEBRUARY 22
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Cancer, harmonizing with the Pisces Sun this morning. We seek calm and cooperation. We can more easily access the Cancer Moon’s healing potential in the first half of the day. Home, family, and familiar settings or situations appeal more than usual today. We crave a stronger sense of belonging. We are insular, and our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
FEBRUARY 23
The Moon spends another day in the sign of Cancer, stimulating a need to connect with our roots. With the Moon’s trine to Neptune early afternoon, we can be especially sensitive, compassionate, and easily touched. The Moon’s opposition to Pluto tonight is more confrontational and challenging, but it may also get us in touch with our needs, perhaps in a convoluted way. There can be some intensity in our personal relationships and/or some inner emotional turmoil. It may be best to avoid mind games.
The void Moon occurs from 11:53 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Pluto), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Wednesday, February 24th, at 7:23 AM EST.
FEBRUARY 24
The Moon continues its transit of Cancer until it enters Leo at 7:23 AM EST. We seek comfortable, safe, and familiar faces and places while the Moon is in Cancer, after which the Leo Moon is prepared to take a risk and seek more feedback and interaction. We have great energy for focusing on what truly matters to us today as Mars forms a trine to Pluto. We are in an excellent position to harness the power of desire and make it work for us. This transit helps us gain determination and a stronger feeling of purpose. We are willing to explore alternatives rather than falling back on the tried and true. Not afraid of a challenge, it’s more important to us that we overcome obstacles. This is excellent energy for reworking or overhauling a project. We are incredibly effective and possibly a little ruthless about getting rid of what we don’t need.
The Moon continues its void period until today when it enters Leo at 7:23 AM EST.
FEBRUARY 25
Venus moves into sacrificing, compassionate Pisces, bringing sweet but sometimes escapist energy to our lives, especially our interactions and relationships, until March 21st. Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although difficult to reach, as there is a longing for something hard to define and satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under this influence. The shadow side of this position can involve evasiveness and avoidance. The Sun’s sextile to Uranus today stimulates our willingness to adapt to new circumstances, ideas, and unfamiliar situations. Group connections can be enlightening, and we’ll do best for ourselves if we embrace flexibility and innovation. We might arrive at creative solutions to problems and make happy improvements now. Spirits are high, and we’re excited about change. Jupiter forms a trine with the mean North Node of the Moon and the true North Node tomorrow, increasing our desire to make contact with like-minded people or with those who can help push us in the direction of growth and improvement. We can experience more popularity and more interest in connecting. Opportunities might emerge that send us on a more fulfilling path. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Leo, further encouraging us to pursue our joy.
FEBRUARY 26
Again today, we’re more inclined than usual to believe in the power of the group and of words to convey our message. With Jupiter trine the North Node of the Moon, it’s a fine time for publishing, teaching, guiding, and learning. Harmonizing through shared ideas and ideals can figure very strongly at this time. The Moon continues its transit of Leo until 12:07 PM EST, forming a square to Mars this morning. The Leo Moon is playful and proud, although it can be all too easy for frustrations or impatience to interfere with our goals or moods. There can be some friction, resistance, and digging in of our heels. The Moon is in organized, fact-finding Virgo from 12:07 PM forward. A Sun-Saturn semi-sextile influence today is a subtly heavy influence, as we can find it a little difficult to enjoy ourselves thoroughly without a vague feeling that we may be neglecting a responsibility.
The void Moon occurs from 6:32 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mars), until the Moon enters Virgo at 12:07 PM EST.
FEBRUARY 27
A Full Moon occurs early today in the sign of Virgo, and there can be a significant epiphany or realization/turning point. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and fulfillment–it’s an emotional time of romance, fertilization, and relationships. This Full Moon presses us to find a balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, and the infinite (Pisces). Virgo rules the tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. This is an eyes-wide-open time for our work, habits, health, and routines. We are likely to receive strong messages from our intuition. This Full Moon harmonizes with Uranus, suggesting an easy acceptance of change and progress now. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Virgo.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Pisces The mystic, the martyr, the sinner, and the saint: these archetypes take on greater importance in your life at a time like this. Forgiveness, compassion, and understanding come naturally, when you look at life from an eternal perspective – and if anyone ever does know such things, you’ll probably come to understand them as this cycle unfolds. This can be a phase of sublime spiritual development, to be sure. But you should be aware of tendencies to believe too quickly, too deeply, or to become dependent on things or people that seem to offer quick and easy answers to life’s deepest yearnings.
Mercury in Aquarius The tried and true doesn’t cut it anymore: it’s the new, the unique, and the original that catches and holds your interest now. Idealism, rationality, and critical thinking become more and more a part of your mental patterns and the way you communicate. You are inventive, original, high tech.
Venus in Aquarius A love for the unusual, a distaste for stodgy old rules and conventions, a feeling that you’re above the petty bourgeois stuff and nonsense: that’s what a new cycle brings into your life now.
Mars in Taurus Making the most of what you’ve got, striving for security and stability: that’s the impulse that stirs in you as a new cycle begins in your life. New frontiers? That’s kid’s stuff for you now! What you want is to build something that will last: a pyramid, a Great Wall – you know, that sort of thing. Steady, patient, solid: that’s your style now.
Jupiter in Aquarius Innovation, reform, and idealism are your paths to growth and gain now. New, futuristic ideas are part of this, but it’s more than that: putting them into practice is essential because this is much more than empty idealism. A break from the past, a willingness to flaunt convention.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
