The FIRST QUARTER MOON occurs on Monday, December 21st, 2020, at 6:41 PM EST.
On Monday, a First Quarter Moon occurs, when the Sun in Capricorn forms a square with the Moon in Aries.
There is a crisis theme surrounding any quarter Moon phase, as we feel compelled to take action. Shortly after, we become aware of how our actions affect those close to us, perhaps through trial and error. Whatever project or initiative we began around the New Moon is now off the ground, and it may face its first obstacles.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 0 degrees and 35 minutes of Aries square the Sun at 0 degrees and 35 minutes of Capricorn, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 0 to 3 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 29 to 30 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Sagittarius until the 21st when it enters Capricorn; Mercury is in Sagittarius until the 20th when it enters Capricorn; Venus is in Sagittarius; Mars is in Aries.
The Sun is in Sagittarius from November 21-December 21. With the Sun in Sagittarius, our focus shifts from the need for an intimate connection with a person and with ourselves, to the desire to reach out to the world and connect with something larger than ourselves. While the Sun moves through this fiery, mutable sign, we can take steps to increase our understanding and awareness of the world around us. We are more able to muster up the courage to expand our horizons and branch out into new ways of thinking. We can gain more confidence and optimism by focusing on the “big picture” as we move away from our focus on the details of mundane existence. Although we may be prone to overdoing our expectations, we have the opportunity to nurture our faith, hope, and vision under this influence.
The Sun is in Capricorn from December 21, 2020-January 19, 2021. We are motivated by feelings of responsibility, ambition, and respect for law and order. Capricorn derives much satisfaction through completion and accomplishment. Standards, structures, and an appreciation for order are Capricorn themes. Capricorn wants tangible results, knows what is feasible and what is not, and is most comfortable working within an established framework and known boundaries or limits. Working towards a long-term goal is most satisfying with this influence.
Mercury is in Sagittarius from December 1-20. When Mercury is in Sagittarius, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics. Ideals are sought, our thinking is more optimistic, and our faith increases. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade. What is fair and unfair concerns us most now. However, we are not always very precise under this influence.
Mercury is in Capricorn from December 20, 2020-January 8, 2021. When Mercury is in Capricorn, our thinking is methodical and our focus is sober and practical. It is easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles become more logical, orderly, and organized. We are more able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes important to us. We need to be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking. We may come across as cold or harsh. For some, there is a fine line between realism and pessimism.
Venus is in Sagittarius from December 15, 2020-January 8, 2021. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy shifts from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind. Romantic adventures, as well as a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love, are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are things that take priority with Sagittarius.
Mars is in Aries from June 27, 2020, to January 6, 2021. [This is longer than usual due to the retrograde of Mars from September 9-November 13, 2020.] Mars feels at home in one of the signs that it rules, Aries, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident. Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
Jupiter entered Aquarius last week on the 19th. Read more about the Jupiter in Aquarius transit.
Saturn entered Aquarius on December 17th. In 2020, Saturn divided its time between the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn transited Capricorn until March 21, 2020; and then finished up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Saturn transited Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Sagittarius from December 15, 2020, to January 8, 2021. As Venus moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy changes from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind. Romantic adventures and a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of the Venus-in-Scorpio phase. Truth and higher meaning are focal points for Sagittarius.
Venus in Sagittarius is forward-looking, not very specific, outgoing, and energetic. Freedom is most important in our love relationships now. We take a happy and enthusiastic approach to love, and we might find too much intensity or seriousness depressing. We have a taste for the exotic as well as for adventure with Venus in Sagittarius.
This position’s shadow side is restlessness, the inability to “settle down,” and endless searching for something bigger and “better.”
This week: On Sunday and Monday, we can be uncertain how to integrate our needs for companionship with the desire to be free or independent. There may be heavy or serious energy to our interactions. On Monday and Tuesday, we’re likely impatient and resent feelings of being confined. Worries and insecurities are closer to the surface, which can be disruptive in our relationships, but with self-awareness, can be revealing.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Venus trine Chiron December 18-19. A commitment-friendly transit. Love can heal old wounds. We are open to romantic feelings.
Venus quincunx Uranus December 20-21. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, freedom vs. intimacy issues. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships, or whether we need freedom from them, yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
Venus parallel Saturn December 20-21. We may express our affection sparingly, but also responsibly and in practical ways. Relationships that begin under this influence often feel burdensome over time, but they may last longer than most.
Venus sesquiquadrate Mars December 21-22. Tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging.
Venus semi-square Pluto December 22. Tendencies to look for something wrong in a relationship. Jealousy raises its ugly head.
Venus semi-square Saturn December 27-28. Feelings of isolation, of not getting what we really want, and of not being loved the way we want to be loved can get in the way of pleasant relations with our partners.
Venus semi-square Jupiter December 28-29. We experience a strong desire for more pleasure in our lives, which can be excessive. Take care not to overstate your feelings or to set up unrealistic expectations in your partnerships.
Venus square Neptune December 29-30. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit–a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment.
Venus conjunct South Node December 30.31. This is a time for reviewing our attachments in terms of whether they are contributing to our growth.
Venus parallel Pluto December 30.31. The desire for drama and intensity in relationships is with us. Love feelings and relationship issues can be all-consuming now, assuming more importance in our lives than usual. Interactions with others are intense now, and themes of sharing and trust dominate in relationships.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus January 1. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus parallel the Sun January 2-3. A strong desire for harmony and comfort fill us now. We may be moved to express our affections.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, December 21st, from 5:24 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Aries at 5:32 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, December 23rd, from 5:51 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mars), until the Moon enters Taurus the next day, Thursday, December 24th, at 5:56 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Saturday, December 26th, from 6:32 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Gemini at 6:33 PM EST.
December 2020:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
The Moon is waxing this week, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs from Saturday, December 19th, at approximately 7:00 PM EST, until Monday, December 20th, at approximately 5:20 AM EST, while the Moon is in Aquarius. Caveat: The Sun enters Capricorn at 5:02 AM on the 20th, and an ingress is not always an ideal time for new beginnings.
Another window occurs from Thursday, December 24th, at approximately 12:50 PM EST, until Saturday, December 26th, at approximately 6:30 AM EST, while the Moon is in Taurus.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Jupiter conjunct Saturn. This alignment signals a period of constructive accomplishment. We are practical, realistic, and our judgment is especially sound–and we derive much satisfaction from building, improving, and reforming our current structures and systems. The key to harnessing this wonderful energy on a personal level is to identify and find pleasure in the simple things that make us happy. It’s a powerful prompt for new beginnings and taking the first steps to grow. We avoid the waste of overestimation, although some underestimation is likely and a trade-off. While we can be working hard, we’re not working against the grain–for the most part, there’s support or our realistic confidence supports us.
Venus sesquiquadrate Mars. Potential tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging. Be wary of making impulse purchases. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which need not be difficult. It can be stimulating and invigorating.
Venus semi-square Pluto. This influence can point to some underlying tensions in social interactions (looking for an ulterior motive or an agenda, suspiciousness) and relationships (possible jealousies). Passions run high and hot, but there’s a hidden agenda. Feelings of jealousy and possessiveness run so close to the surface that others can almost feel the heat, and they are in direct proportion to our fear of losing something or someone dear to us.
Mars square Pluto. Our desires are intense and difficult to satisfy under this influence. A tendency to bully and confront may dominate. Efforts to make changes could be thwarted, or power struggles emerge. The trick is to remain flexible and to develop strategies for achieving our goals. The desire to get the upper hand is strong, but it’s unlikely to happen under this influence. It would be wise to observe whatever powerful feelings that confrontations or conflicts arouse under this influence, as this transit has a way of pulling out suppressed matter, or emotional “slush”. Passions run high, and so does sexual energy.
Mercury square Chiron. Communications may be strained, and possibly hurtful or perceived as such. Misunderstandings are more likely now. Decisions may also be hard to come by, as we tend to doubt ourselves or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now.
Mercury trine Uranus. This is an opportune time to attend meetings and other organized group activities, to communicate online, and to take part in activities involving computers, scientific projects, and metaphysics. Unexpected gains may be realized through such mediums. The intuition is strong, and insights seem to come from “out of the blue”. Original, creative ideas are easy to come by.
Sun square Chiron. The desire to learn and grow through experiences and through others is strong, but may be hampered by a lack of confidence or a fear of being different. We might experience a lack of faith in our own decisions. We could too easily follow others’ leads due to self-doubt, or simply to please them and out of fear of asserting our own desires.

DECEMBER 20
The Moon spends the day in Pisces. While this Moon transit encourages a focus on the non-material world, Mercury enters Capricorn today, and the Sun will do the same tomorrow. Our thinking is systematic, and our focus is sober and practical while Mercury transits Capricorn until January 8th, 2021. It’s easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles are more logical, orderly, and organized. We’re able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes most valuable to us. We should be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking and coming across as cold or harsh during this cycle. We’re heading toward a Venus-Uranus quincunx, exact early tomorrow, that influences today. It’s not easy integrating our needs for companionship or closeness with our desire for freedom and independence. There is a sense that we can only have one or the other. Temporarily, we’re unlikely to feel confident enough to rock the boat, but taming rebelliousness makes sense now.
DECEMBER 21
Today is astrologically busy with the Solstice, the First Quarter Moon, and the Great Conjunction (Jupiter aligns with Saturn). The Sun enters Capricorn and will transit the sign until January 19th, 2021. With the Sun in Capricorn, we’re motivated by feelings of responsibility, ambition, and respect for law and order. Completion and accomplishment are satisfying during this Sun transit. Capricorn wants tangible results, knows what is feasible, and is most comfortable working within an established framework and known boundaries or limits. Standards, structures, and an appreciation for order are Capricorn themes. Working towards a long-term goal is most satisfying with this influence. Jupiter forms a conjunction with Saturn in the first degree of Aquarius today, symbolizing a significant new beginning. Called a Great Conjunction, a Jupiter-Saturn alignment occurs only every 20 years or so, and far less frequently in the same sign. While Jupiter-Saturn aspects often perfect three times over the course of about nine months, this one is a one-off pass. With Jupiter and Saturn conjunct in Aquarius, we’re looking to accomplish something concrete on human and technological levels. We might focus on restructuring–it’s a powerful prompt for new beginnings and taking the first steps to grow. Our vision empowers us, and it’s a practical one! We avoid the waste of overestimation with this transit, although some underestimation is likely and a trade-off. While we can be working hard, we’re not working against the grain–for the most part, there’s support or our realistic confidence supports us. We’re inclined to focus these rebuilding and reforming energies and visions on our humanitarian impulses, contributions to society, social life, technological development, causes, and friendships. A First Quarter Moon occurs at 6:41 PM EST when the Sun in Capricorn forms a square to the Moon in Aries. This can be a time of stress, clashing, and discord, but also of great energy, motivation, and growth. We can feel more ambitious and competitive. We want to get something going, but we may not know the next step or the exact direction we want it/us to take.
The void Moon occurs from 5:24 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Aries at 5:32 PM EST.
DECEMBER 22
Mars is heading toward a square to Pluto, exact tomorrow. Today, Venus gets involved with these planets through minor squares. It’s all too easy to feel tense with regular or routine interactions with these transits influencing the day. We may be tempted to manipulate or control others and situations, which can lead to unnecessary troubles. Jealousies or possessiveness can emerge. These aspects can create a tense and competitive or stimulating and invigorating environment, depending on how we approach things! The differences in our approaches, desires, and needs seem to stand out more than our commonalities, and tensions in our relationships are likely. We might watch for impulsive moves, including purchases. The Moon spends the day in bold, impulsive Aries.
DECEMBER 23
The Moon’s alignment with Mars in its own sign, Aries, boosts energy levels and passions. A Mars-Pluto square complicates things, potentially stimulating intense desires that may not easily be satisfied. Power struggles can emerge. We crave a sense of control over events, relationships, and circumstances and become frustrated at any sign that we don’t have it. There may be arguments, standstills, and power games now. Attempts to gain control or power are fruitless. It would be wise to observe and learn from whatever powerful feelings arise from confrontations or conflicts. We should try to remain flexible, perhaps devising strategies for achieving our goals rather than attempting to push them through at all costs. Later today, Mercury forms a square to Chiron, pointing to possibly strained, unnatural communications. We can be more sensitive to criticism than usual. We may doubt ourselves when solving problems or learning and expressing ourselves. Even so, a temporary dip might boost our motivation to improve.
The void Moon occurs from 5:51 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mars), until the Moon enters Taurus tomorrow, Thursday, December 24th, at 5:56 AM EST.
DECEMBER 24
The Moon continues its transit of Aries until it moves into the sign of Taurus at 5:56 AM EST. The Taurus Moon is steady and sensible, and its trine to the Sun early afternoon encourages cooperation. This Moon stimulates our desire for comfort, warmth, and harmony. With the Moon in conservative Taurus aligned with forward-oriented Uranus this evening, we’re taking the best of the traditional and progressive worlds and using them to make updates that improve our lives. We’re also heading toward a Mercury-Uranus trine, exact early tomorrow. With this mind-opening aspect, we seek answers that are not the most obvious ones, and we can get to some exciting places on a mental level now. We’re expressing ourselves in different or unique ways rather than falling back on old habits of thinking and communicating, and this is successful. Conversations can be gently provocative, leading to new ideas and perspectives. Insights or creative ideas come suddenly, unexpectedly, and brilliantly. Mercury also forms a creative quintile to Neptune, encouraging us to get in touch with our imaginative, compassionate side, and it can be a delightful time for communications and musings.
The void Moon continues until 5:56 AM today when the Moon enters Taurus.
DECEMBER 25
The Mercury-Uranus trine perfects early today, and our minds are open to new ideas. Venus forms a biquintile to Uranus this evening, and we’re noticing and appreciating the more unique elements of people, situations, and projects today. We’re heading toward a Sun-Chiron square, exact early tomorrow, that can point to insecurity or uncertainty about our direction, convictions, or purpose. A dip in confidence or faith in our resolutions or principles can lead to following others’ leads, which can later be regrettable. A better approach would be to recognize our feelings of vulnerability stirred by circumstances now. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Taurus and harmonizes with Neptune, helping to soothe and calm. We might aim to savor the moments and enjoy gentle motivation to care for those things most dear to us.
DECEMBER 26
The Sun-Chiron square perfects early today, pointing to some reservations or hesitance. The Moon continues its transit of Taurus until 6:33 PM EST, and we crave comfort and predictability. We are primarily concerned with our practical or material goals under this influence. The Moon transits Gemini from 6:33 PM forward, encouraging a more connected, communicative approach to our lives. The Moon in Gemini stimulates our curiosity and increases our observation skills. The Moon harmonizes with Saturn and Jupiter, and we want to be productive, happy to pursue our special interests and projects. These aspects help temper and moderate us, improving our impartiality and objectivity. We’re finding ways to blend and balance.
The void Moon occurs from 6:32 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Gemini at 6:33 PM EST.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Pisces
We may not want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favors the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water.
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Sagittarius You’re now embarking on a trek into a land of dreams – not passive daydreams, but vibrant visions of what may be. The time has come to stop looking at the world as it is and asking why. Now’s the time to imagine the world as it could be, and the question has become: “Why not?” You also cannot do everything you imagine now, but you cannot do anything you don’t KNOW you can do – so believe, and dare to make it happen! This means expanding your mind, your belief system, your whole base of knowledge and experience. Time’s a-wastin’ – let no grass grow between your toes!
Sun in Capricorn You see what’s wrong and you know what to do now: the time has come to make it real, and it’s a lot bigger than any one person. This means cooperation and organization, authority and discipline, responsibility – and all these things are what it takes to get you where you know you must go. But take care! If your vision is only for yourself, what you create cannot last: it must be for some greater good. Ambition, practicality, and achievement are admirable, but they are means to an end – not ends in themselves.
Mercury in Sagittarius A time of expanding your mental horizons is at hand. Religion, philosophy, law, and education are some of the things that may have special importance for you now. Being in touch with faraway people and places satisfies an intellectual yearning – curiosity will take you anywhere and maybe everywhere.
Mercury in Capricorn Figuring out how to organize projects and people is apt to become a topic of special interest – and a challenge – at a time like this. Opinions are not enough for you now: they must be backed by authority or evidence, and above all, they must have practical worth and application. A period of intense study and thought.
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Mars in Aries Fresh challenges and initiatives light your fires now, as a new cycle begins in your life – lots of energy, a powerful urge to be first, or come out on top. Away with the old and on to the new – let no one and nothing stand between you and your objective! Headstrong impulses and rash courage can take you far … sometimes in harm’s way if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Aquarius Innovation, reform, and idealism are your paths to growth and gain now. New, futuristic ideas are part of this, but it’s more than that: putting them into practice is essential because this is much more than empty idealism. A break from the past, a willingness to flaunt convention.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
