Jupiter expands our experiences, our knowledge, and our understanding. Jupiter represents optimism, growth, generosity, and abundance. While in Capricorn, Jupiter urged us to define goals, seek out tangible results, act ethically and maturely, and take a disciplined and step-by-step approach to realize our objectives. We focused on our material goals, structures, rules, and sense of responsibility (from December 2019 to December 2020).

When Jupiter was in Aquarius (December 2020 to May 2021 and July 2021 to December 2021), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our place in the community and the needs of all. Jupiter in Aquarius encouraged fairness, impartiality, individuality, and humanitarianism. We reaped rewards through being more inclusive and just. And, we opened our minds to progress.

When Jupiter was in Pisces (May 13 to July 28, 2021; December 28, 2021, to May 10, 2022; and October 28 to December 20, 2022), Jupiter expanded our awareness of our spirituality and compassion. Too Much Jupiter in Aries

Because Jupiter’s nature is extravagant, we must guard against “too much.” This applies no matter which sign Jupiter is currently visiting. Jupiter’s zeal can supersede moderation at times. It can expand the more negative qualities of a sign, just as it can magnify the positive traits.

Jupiter’s enthusiasm can be well-intentioned but might blind us to our immoderate behaviors.

In Aries, we can be impatient and too self-focused, if overdone. Negative manifestations include a too-narrow focus, a me-first attitude that can be insensitive, failing to consider others’ points of view and leaving opportunities behind as a result, over-confidence, not learning from past mistakes, and a lack of objectivity.

These things may be more prevalent around Jupiter’s minor semi-square to Uranus in May, September, and December 2022, Jupiter’s minor semi-square to Saturn in July and September 2022 and March 2023, and mid-March 2023 around its conjunction to Chiron.

With the planet of freedom in a sign that’s particularly self-interested, we must avoid overdoing the focus on self. While we’re developing our self-confidence with Jupiter in Aries, we should watch for over-valuing independence, self-focus, and individualism at the expense of the group. Let’s face it, too much self-focus can be detrimental to the individual as well. Healthy self-interest should be the goal during this cycle.

Impatience and lack of foresight or other potential downfalls with Jupiter in Aries. We want things to happen now, as soon as possible, and we might miss important details as we seek immediate action and gratification.

Jupiter in Aries Working For Us

However, the higher vibration or expression of Jupiter seeks perspective. Jupiter’s perspective isn’t a detached, analytical, or detailed look at any given situation, but an overview–a look at the “big picture.” With Jupiter, ideally, we are able to rise above pettiness, mundane concerns, inconveniences, and the like.

Where Jupiter is currently transiting in your own chart is generally where you are inclined to find your joy at this stage in your development. This area of your life expands and improves in some manner.

There is also a need for new tools to boost and build these areas of life. In order to develop, we need to pursue our goals with more spirit and courage.

Jupiter in Aries Prosperity

The Jupiter in Aries cycle is a strong period for making our own opportunities, believing in ourselves, and taking charge of our lives.

With Jupiter, we extend our reach, and in Aries, we’re more inclined to appeal to others through our stronger sense of the individual. It’s in the worlds of enterprise and spirit where we tend to want to grow, improve, expand, and thrive, or it’s through our initiative that we feel we can prosper.

While Jupiter was in Pisces, we may have had a hard time detaching enough to make concrete improvements and changes. Now, we more readily break with tradition if it no longer suits our goals.

We feel more fulfilled when we draw upon our own initiative and take a leap of faith, investing in ourselves. In fact, we may do our best work or make the most progress when we’re working at our own pace or on our intuition.

With Jupiter in Aries, we take our ethics, beliefs, and principles very personally. We’re ready to fight for our beliefs. Our values can be somewhat narrow if they’re mostly personal, however.

Jupiter in Aries & Personal Courage

We value self-starts and initiative while Jupiter is in Aries, more so than usual. These things hold more weight.

We might encourage one another’s personal courage during this Jupiter-in-Aries transit. The qualities of Aries are qualities that, when displayed and embraced, help us to expand our personality and life experience. These characteristics include straightforward, direct, headstrong, independent, enterprising, and inspiring.

It’s an excellent cycle for efforts that requrie making a clean break from the past in some manner.

Our leadership qualities and bravery can help us thrive. We tend to take the lead in philosophical or educational activities, perhaps inspiring others. With our strong belief in rebirth and fresh starts, we can be enthusiastic and optimistic about pulling out of ruts. Self-employment can be a theme or goal since we prefer to work at our own likely quick pace and we’re not thrilled about taking orders or trying too hard to blend in with others. Thinking up new ideas is far more attractive than routine during this cycle.

We can value courage, impulse, and initiative so much that we forget that there’s great wisdom in doing some planning.

During this transit, we can be uncomfortable with vagueness, followers, groupies, or excessive diplomacy. Sincerity is most important to us. We very much need the freedom to believe what feels right to us.

We tend to jump on opportunities, having a sense that if we don’t do so quickly, they’ll disappear. We also prefer to be first! We’re also not inclined to wait for life to hand us what we want.

While we’re quick to feel inspired, we could also quickly lose interest when the rush of discovery dissipates. In fact, we should watch for an infatuation with what’s new and unexplored.

Media, Health, Energy

We may see more Aries themes and topics in the media as we become more and more fascinated with Aries energies.

The arts help us connect with our own higher vision of beauty and help to keep us balanced.

Aries is decisive, not afraid to be themselves, straightforward, and direct. We may see more themes in the media spotlighting the assertive hero, the lone wolf, the leader, the self-motivated risk-taker, and the crusader. Scars on the face and redheads can be in vogue. People with strong Aries influences in their charts (for example, Adam Scott, Rooney Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, Lily James, Paul Reiser, Jay Park, David Harbour) can rise in relevance or popularity during this period.

Health issues with Jupiter are usually related to excesses, while Aries issues are often connected to the head–cranium or face.

Jupiter is also associated with the liver, memory, and arterial blood flow. Jupiter transits can be protective but they can also enlarge or exaggerate functions.

Health problems associated with Aries under stress include headaches and migraines, eye issues, hair loss, acidosis, and skin eruptions. Poor circulation to the head, adrenal function issues, depression, immune disorders, problems related to the body’s defense responses, and accidents are also associated with Jupiter in Aries.

It’s certainly possible that latent problems in these areas can magnify during this Jupiter transit. It’s also possible that solutions arise for these issues since Jupiter has healing, protective energy. Jupiter’s alignment with Chiron in Aries in 2022 is a time of potential solutions and strategies for healing.

Jupiter in Aries: Dates

This time around, Jupiter covers the sign of Aries in two steps. It goes as follows:

• Jupiter travels from May 10 to July 28, 2022 in the first 8-9 degrees of Aries. Jupiter turns retrograde in Aries on July 28th, traveling through Aries until October 28th, when it retreats into Pisces.
• Jupiter, still retrograde, moves through the late degrees of Pisces from October 28th to November 23rd when Jupiter turns direct.
• Now direct, Jupiter continues in the sign of Pisces from October 28th only until December 20th, 2022, when it moves on for good. Jupiter won’t return to Pisces until 2033.
• From December 20th, 2022, to May 16th, 2023, Jupiter moves through the entire sign of Aries, moving on to Taurus on May 16th, 2023. Jupiter won’t return to Aries until 2034.

While the list of aspects is a long one, they’re largely minor aspects. The only major aspect is with Chiron–not a planet.

Jupiter semi-square Uranus on May 11th, September 28th, and December 23rd.

Jupiter semi-square Saturn on July 21st, September 21st, and March 21st.

Jupiter conjunct Chiron on March 13, 2023, at 14°Aries 27′ (standalone).

Jupiter semi-square Uranus

Jupiter’s semi-square to Uranus suggests we can feel a little restless, wanting to grow, improve, and innovate, but we’re not necessarily focused. We could find it difficult to agree with others, or it’s hard to find common ground. We need to be willing to make changes in our lives now, or change will come in perhaps unwanted forms.

This is a rebellious, restless influence, and we should avoid random moves. It’s best to tap into areas that may need some attention and improvement. We might open ourselves up to new ways of thinking, but we could also too easily avoid taking responsibility for things that truly matter.

While watching for impractical ventures and unusual tangents with weak staying power, we should connect with our desire to innovate. This transit is a minor but longer-term aspect.

Jupiter semi-square Saturn

Jupiter’s semi-square to Saturn is another minor aspect but has its challenges. When we think in big terms, or if we have the urge to expand, we confront obstacles or we are forced to face reality. Some re-structuring of our lives and of our business goals is now in order.

There is no “easy fix” just now – we need to keep working hard and can make good progress, even if there are fits and starts. It is best to breathe new life into old plans rather than to strike out with a new plan altogether. We should watch for overextension, which can lead to frustration.

Jupiter conjunct Chiron

Jupiter’s conjunction to Chiron can encourage an increased need for greater understanding, wisdom, and awareness, as well as a stronger interest in the healing arts and holistic health. It may be a time when we update our personal belief system. The potential is high for working on ridding ourselves of negative attitudes that have held us back.

In the sign of Aries, we can be especially interested in dealing with personal demons that have fractured our confidence and ability to assert our boundaries.

With Jupiter’s quintile to Pluto in February 2023, we are far more interested in–and skilled at–strategy for achieving our goals. It’s a time of easily sniffing out opportunities.

Jupiter’s semi-sextile to Uranus in March 2023 suggests some difficulty aligning our desire for opportunity and advancement with our need for personal freedom.

Jupiter in assertive, outgoing Aries brings a general philosophy of life that emphasizes independence and individual freedom. Still, relationships can benefit from the attitude that the past should be left behind us. Jupiter in Aries Ephemeris

Jupiter spends many months in the sign of Aries. The last time Jupiter transited Aries was from June 2010 to June 2011. What we started during the last Jupiter-in-Aries period is now enjoying a Jupiter return — it’s going through a rebirth, of sorts — so that it might blossom, increase, or require adjustments in order to grow further.

Before that period, Jupiter was in Aries from February to June 1999 and October 1999 to February 2000, from March 1987 to March 1988, from March 1975 to March 1976, and from April 1963 to April 1964.

Aries

Jupiter moves into your solar first house on May 10th, 2022. Jupiter is in your sign! This transit lasts many months and comes only every twelve years, serving to bring you out of your shell. You’re ready to take on the world.

This influence spans two date ranges, with the first wave happening in full this year, and the second one starting near the end of 2022:

• from May 10-October 28, 2022,
• and from December 20, 2022-May 16, 2023.

You’re experiencing these themes in steps, starting in 2022 from May to October.

From May 10-October 28, and then from December 20th onward, it’s a time for exploring your needs and pursuing your dreams. Your personality, image, body image, and self-confidence expand to new levels with Jupiter in your sign. You are seeing whole new possibilities, and your vision of life is panoramic.

If you’ve done your inner “work” well while Jupiter was transiting your solar twelfth house, this can be an especially rewarding period. Your confidence in yourself and faith in the world are growing exponentially. Freedom is what you seek, and it’s a wonderful quest as long as you keep in mind the costs of freedom when it’s pursued without the necessary attention to responsibilities.

You could do more learning in a self-directed manner. You may have more freedom to explore and discover. A long-standing problem or belief can end, freeing you on a mental plane. Your publishing or educational success relates to expressing your personality or independence, the confidence in your ingenuity, or your body, appearance, or image. This influence often favors teaching, publishing, or advantages in court or school. Completing or returning to higher learning can figure strongly for some.

You seek a new beginning – a fresh start, of sorts – and your desire to do right is powerful. Work or projects you have been working on in private or behind the scenes may now begin to pay off. There is less focus on serving and helping others, perhaps because this is no longer as necessary. For example, a child can go off to college, or it’s even possible that it’s the end of a relationship or major project that took up a lot of your energy and resources, from which you are now enjoying some level of freedom. Now you can put some of your interests on the front burner.

You won’t feel like sitting around during this period of your life! You are hungry for new experiences. Everyday stresses that may have frustrated you in the past now seem almost inconsequential–your vision lifts above the mundane. As such, your ability to manage stress and pressure increases.
