Saturn in Aquarius in 2022
Friendship and community matters make headlines in 2022. Although social matters tend to dominate, we are in the position to take a more detached and honest approach to affairs of the heart.
Saturn in Aquarius can bring tests to friendships, but these test their foundations, and those with weak foundations are challenged to strengthen them. This year, Jupiter isn’t concurrently in the sign, and the rougher edges of this transit are more evident.
A serious approach to our friendships is a continuing theme this year. Saturn transiting the sign of casual relationships, acquaintances, and associates brings a mature and serious tone to these connections. Some may feel it as burdensome. Relationships may go through a sort of “road test” during this 2+ year cycle that started in 2020 and will end in March 2023.

Jupiter spends more time in compassionate, spiritual Pisces this year–until May 10th, and then from October 28th-December 20th. We experienced this energy briefly last year.

Helping those in need boosts our own morale. We attract the best fortune when we are charitable, tender, devoted, compassionate, giving, and when we look out for the underdog. We are more idealistic and perhaps less ambitious in a worldly sense, more motivated to give than receive. Faith in the basic goodness of people can bring about positive circumstances or good “luck.”
We should watch for escapism, bending personal philosophies or morals to suit the situation, deception and self-deception, restlessness and vague discontent, and unwillingness to face problems or negative situations directly.

Mars retrograde in Gemini in 2022
Mars retrogrades in the sign of Gemini from October 20th, 2022, forward, bringing about a need to rethink or reassess our energy levels, motivation, and desires.
Mars is retrograde from October 20th, 2022, to January 12, 2023. It’s not the best energy for our love relationships, at least in an immediate sense. Ultimately, we are learning how to better assert ourselves and our needs/wants, so whatever we do learn during that period can be used to strengthen our relationships. However, it can be a confusing time for those already experiencing uncertainty in their love lives, because it brings more confusion and mixed signals!
With Mars retrograde in Gemini, there can be some stalling of intellectual and mental initiatives. Health issues may be a factor (especially in areas ruled by Gemini, including the lungs), and accidents a higher possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period.
In love, it’s words used as weapons that we should watch for the most. These can be regrettable.
Venus retrograde in Capricorn in 2022
Venus retrogrades in the sign of Capricorn near the end of the year, from December 19th, 2021, forward, bringing about a need to rethink or reassess our personal relationships. Past lovers may reappear and some relationships may end. Commitment or business/practical problems can be a hot topic.
Old friends and lovers may re-appear, perhaps complicating current relationships. We are called upon to deal with relationship issues from the past. Events occur that seem fated or predestined. It can be a real challenge getting close to a lover during this period of time. Unorthodox, experimental, and non-intimate relationships may be favored just for now.
Those who have Capricorn strong in their charts may be more introspective, distant, or hard to reach during this cycle. They may not be in a very favorable light just for the time being.
