Capricorn (All):
Note: This is where the summary of the year resides; more details are below!
The year 2021 is a powerful period for building key areas of our life–and enjoying it as you do, dear Capricorn. You have a positive attitude and a sense of joy with feeling on top of things.
You can have a particular desire to work on your money, assets, and resources. Handling financial security issues seems most important for your general sense of freedom and optimism or confidence. Your relationship with money and resources is changing. Your sense of abundance can evolve as well, as you find more value in what you have or you identify things that are no longer boosting your sense of security. Changes are happening with how you view your earning power and natural talents.
Saturn has officially left your sign, and in a general sense, you’re likely to feel less pressure. You’re now more interested in building your resources, budgeting, paying more attention to daily routines, and boosting your health by rounding out your life in simple ways.
You continue to discover yourself creatively or through romantic connections, finding more time to pursue recreation, entertainment, hobbies, pastimes, or dating. You seem attracted to unusual avenues for self-expression, play, and enjoyment in 2021.
There can be a strong emphasis on comfort and the enjoyment of simple pleasures. There’s less pressure on you and your personality, image, and body with Saturn no longer in your sign.
Saturn’s new thrust is to encourage you to get your finances and possessions sorted. At times, this theme can certainly clash with the excitement you’re experiencing on creative and romantic lines. Part of you is focused on steadying your life, building a sense of security and safety, and managing your resources this year. Another part of you wants to take a risk from time to time or go out on a limb. Restrictions on your explorations can be material or spiritual as you wrestle with a need for security, frugality, and predictability.
Venus turns retrograde near the end of 2021 in your sign, and you’ll be examining your feelings more closely.
There can be significant improvements to your income, spending, self-esteem, comfort, and security levels in 2021. You’re coming to a more realistic understanding of what you can do, and the result will be stronger self-esteem and sense of self-worth. The year is likely to be profitable and productive. You’re more confident and enthusiastic about earning, and there can be a satisfying focus on boosting your natural talents.
A new theme is building this year, and it’s about increased ease with expressing your thoughts, feelings, or intuition through words. You’ll find more joy in learning, communicating, and disseminating your knowledge. While this phase will reach full bloom in 2022, it’s developing now, and it feels good.

Key Events in 2021 for Capricorn:
Outer Planet Transits:
Jupiter square Uranus and sextile Chiron in January. These aspects can produce some rebellion and a strong desire to break free from limiting circumstances. While we should watch for abrupt moves, it’s also a good time to open our minds to new methods.
This is a time when authenticity is most important to you, but you can struggle as your urges and needs for love, spontaneity, and creative expression clash with a strong desire to settle in and get comfortable.
Jupiter trine the North Node of the Moon in February and Saturn trine North Node in April. These aspects increase our willingness to grow, learn, improve, and develop, moving past our fears. We are ready to embrace new methods and attitudes, leaving behind those no longer serving our growth. Our conscience is well-developed. We’re more inclined than usual to believe in the power of the group and of words to convey our message.
It’s a fine time for publishing, community involvement, teaching, guiding, and learning. Harmonizing through shared ideas and ideals can figure very strongly at this time.
For you, Jupiter and Saturn in your assets and resources sector harmonizes with the North Node in your house of work, health, habits, and routines. Your efforts to improve your money or security position can benefit your work and routines, and even your health. This goes the other way, as well–as you get a handle on your routines and lead a more balanced life, your relationship with money and your self-worth improve. It’s a win-win!
Saturn square Uranus from February to December. Our needs for freedom and spontaneity seem to clash with a need for structure and stability. Rules and limitations are hard to tolerate, but without some lines drawn, life feels too chaotic. Attempts to assert our individuality, freedom, and originality tend to undermine our feeling of groundedness and security. Yet, we are not satisfied when we conform. There may be sudden and unexpected twists that force us to do something different or free ourselves from old habits.
For Capricorn, there can be times when you’re battling yourself or money matters or your desire for security seems to be at odds with your need to branch out. Part of you is focused on steadying your life, building a sense of security and safety, and managing your resources this year, and these themes are often at cross purposes with another part of you that just wants to take a risk from time to time, or go out on a limb.
Restrictions on your explorations can be material or spiritual as you wrestle with a need for security, frugality, and predictability, particularly from February to December.
Fortunately, we have the following influence helping to soften some of the rough edges:
Saturn sextile Chiron from February to November. This transit helps us feel competent, effective, and secure. We have a strong sense of both tradition and innovation. We are also more able to express our unique qualities or to go our own way, without stirring up controversy if we act in a professional, respectful manner. There’s no need for show-boating with this aspect. With humility and realism, chances of success increase.
For Capricorn, handling financial security issues seems most important for your general sense of freedom and optimism or confidence. Working on securing particular areas of your life can improve your home life or relationships with family and roommates. Living arrangements get a nice boost. You’re more humble and self-aware regarding your talents and capabilities. There may be some material benefits coming from real estate or family. Alternatively, you may have more resources to invest into home or property.
Other influences:
Venus is retrograde from December 19th. Venus is retrograde in the sign of Capricorn from December 19th, 2021, to January 29, 2022.
Retrograde Venus affects all of us in general, mainly in the areas of love and finances. These matters are not straightforward during this period, and it’s a time for reviewing our attitudes rather than forging ahead boldly into new love relationships or financial projects.
Venus retrograde cycles always have more impact on you when it comes to relationships and love because Venus rules your romance sector. This time around, Venus is occupying your sign during this retrograde cycle. Interestingly, when Venus occupies your sign, you tend to enjoy special attention from love interests–a lover or love interest is generally on the same page as you, or at the very least, has your best interests at heart.
You have the upper hand in love when Venus works her way through Capricorn, and this is the case for a longer period than usual this time, from November 5, 2021, to March 6, 2022. But while Venus is retrograde, there can be some cooling off in relationships. It’s a time for looking into your heart and understanding your needs more intimately. You can do quite a bit of reviewing, reassessing, and perhaps some experimenting with your personal image, looks, manner, and relationships. Take your time with major decision-making! You could be a little withdrawn and hesitant about pushing forward in matters of the heart.

The horoscope on this page, Capricorn Yearly, shows the trends and predictions for the year in detail. Because outer planet transits are lengthy, there are variations in the timing of outer planet transits for each of the three decans of Capricorn, and these are shown below the main, general forecast.
Every year, we see challenges and opportunities in different areas. It’s my hope that by understanding these areas of potential disruption and ease, you can make the most of these trends by seeking out the opportunities and managing the challenges.
The following chart shows the outer planets and other points in relation to your sign, revealing whether they are harmonizing with or challenging Capricorn:

As is evident in the above chart, you have considerably more support than not from the outer planets again this year, although there will be some adjustments to make in 2021.
Saturn has left your sign. Uranus and Neptune harmonize with Capricorn. Besides Pluto’s continued long-term transit of your sign, the only challenging body is Chiron.

Overview: Harmony and Challenge of Outer Planets:
Let’s start with the energies that you’re accustomed to: Pluto, of course, is a long-term guest in your sign. Its transit challenges you to change, grow, and improve.
Uranus and Neptune harmonizing with your sign boost you on the levels of inspiration and dreams. These transits help lighten up the heavier Pluto energy. Pluto on its own tends to pull out your lone wolf tendency, but Uranus and Neptune keep you feeling spirited and supported–they round things out well.
Chiron’s transit suggests some discomfort, conflicts, and clashes, but nothing you can’t handle. Family and home life can need some sorting and healing.
