2021 Pisces Overview: Horoscope
Pisces (Born approx. February 20-March 20*) – 0 to 30 degrees Pisces:
2021: Pisces Horoscope: Love, Career, & General Trends
Note: The summary of the year resides here, while the details are below.
This can be an important transition year for you, dear Pisces. Your relationships take on a less pressured, more joyful note in 2021. There is a stronger focus on the background, your private life, and renewal or healing.
Saturn spends the year (and beyond) in your solar twelfth house, and there can be a lot of work done behind the scenes. For much of 2021, Jupiter is in the same area of your chart, and this is an introspective period. While supporting others or problems in your private time can be draining at times, this can be an important time for facing fears and letting go of old attachments.
You are building strength and balance in 2021. It would benefit you to take the time to learn what it is you truly want so that when Jupiter emerges in your chart from mid-May to July 28th, you’re in an even more fabulous position to move forward. You have fantastic support for your efforts to look within and understand your innermost needs.
Jupiter helps you recognize the benefits and joy of reflection, private moments, and putting an end to outdated attitudes or situations in your life. Jupiter enters your sign on May 13th but stays there only briefly (until July 28th) before backing up to complete its transit of Aquarius. From December 28th forward, Jupiter re-emerges in Pisces.
As such, in 2021, you’ll get a taste of this special, rewarding transit that will develop more fully in 2022. You’ll be in the right frame of mind to push some boundaries and reach for a little more for yourself. While you’ve been more introspective than usual, you’ll begin to come out of your shell. You’re in a unique position to update your image and build personal confidence levels, in fact. You bring more of your personality to your work or public image, which is particularly successful!
We’re on the first wave of this transit in 2021, and it’s a time for strengthening confidence and a solid feeling of moving forward. Your mood should be especially buoyant.
Your social life is likely to improve as this area of your life feels less pressured or burdensome in 2021. This can be a time of opening your mind to unusual new interests or for communications and transportation opening up new channels for making connections.
Consider that a lot is going on “under the hood” in your life in 2021. You’re transitioning into a more outgoing phase, but you’re doing a lot of exploring on the inside as you do.
Watch that fear of letting others in or the discovery of past mistakes doesn’t interfere with communicating and connecting freely. While you’re working on answering to your intuition, you may not always have a lot of faith in your instincts, often overthinking things. Watch for communicating too quickly or compulsively, as you may be self-sabotaging. Your timing can be a little off if you can’t quite trust your intuition.
You could be working on a project in solitude or behind the scenes, and when you do come out with it, it could be quite profitable. It’s a powerful year for putting more energy and attention into your home and family affairs.

Key Events in 2021 for Pisces:
Outer Planet Transits:
Jupiter square Uranus and sextile Chiron in January. These aspects can produce some rebellion and a strong desire to break free from limiting circumstances. While we should watch for abrupt moves, it’s also a good time to open our minds to new methods.
For Pisces, the nervous Jupiter-Uranus square can aggravate some indecision or tension in your life but avoid the temptation to jump into decisions blindly. A new vision of your future can excite you now, and the details will have to follow later. You can experience a real surge of motivation to resume or take on new projects.
Consider that your interests are plenty, but your time is limited! Watch for putting so much pressure on yourself to get something done that you end up impatient and frustrated. Expecting instant results can bring you down and take energy away from what you’re doing.
As well, avoid taking on something new to avoid making a tough choice or decision. If you’re fearful of underperforming, for example, you may leave a project or endeavor unfinished to pursue something else, which can lead to a lot of waste and possibly guilt.
There can be times when you feel a little scattered or when dabbling can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Concentration and focus are not your strong suits at this time. While you’re not typically a person who blurts things out too quickly, this can be a theme now! Be sure you make words work for instead of against you.
While you’re working on answering to your intuition, you may not always have a lot of faith in your instincts, often overthinking things. Watch for communicating too quickly or compulsively, as you may be self-sabotaging. Your timing can be a little off if you can’t quite trust your instincts and intuition.
With self-discipline, you find more joy and confidence. This can be a time for working on a project in advance of a launch date or for putting a long-term project behind you.
Jupiter trine the North Node of the Moon in February and Saturn trine North Node in April. These aspects increase our willingness to grow, learn, improve, and develop, moving past our fears. We are ready to embrace new methods and attitudes, leaving behind those no longer serving our growth. Our conscience is well-developed. We’re more inclined than usual to believe in the power of the group and of words to convey our message.
It’s a fine time for publishing, community involvement, teaching, guiding, and learning. Harmonizing through shared ideas and ideals can figure very strongly at this time.
Saturn square Uranus from February to December. Our needs for freedom and spontaneity seem to clash with a need for structure and stability. Rules and limitations are hard to tolerate, but without some lines drawn, life feels too chaotic. Attempts to assert our individuality, freedom, and originality tend to undermine our feeling of groundedness and security. Yet, we are not satisfied when we conform. There may be sudden and unexpected twists that force us to do something different or free ourselves from old habits.
For Pisces, you might deal with vague fears and insecurities that undermine your confidence in your mental output. Decision-making can suffer as a result. You are not always completely sure what to believe or trust. Watch that fear of letting others in or the discovery of past mistakes doesn’t interfere with communicating and connecting freely. Again, watch for timing problems if you’re overthinking instead of connecting with and trusting your intuition.
Fortunately, we have the following influence helping to soften some of the rough edges:
Saturn sextile Chiron from February to November. This transit helps us feel competent, effective, and secure. We have a strong sense of both tradition and innovation. We are also more able to express our unique qualities or to go our own way, without stirring up controversy if we act in a professional, respectful manner. There’s no need for show-boating with this aspect. With humility and realism, the chances of success increase.
For Pisces, there is particularly good support for these efforts. You can be working on a money-making idea or on a boost to your sense of self-worth or self-esteem with great success. You’re learning to use your resources more effectively. Working on healing your fear of loss of your resources can be highly useful at this time.
Sun conjunct Jupiter in Aquarius on the day of a Full Moon in Leo. This influence is in effect from January 26-28. A lot is going on behind the scenes or under the hood. You’re connecting with an important inner spiritual search and a better relationship with yourself from the inside out. You might come to a fuller understanding of an old problem.
In the first two-and-a-half weeks of February, the sign of Aquarius is in powerful emphasis. A high number of points occupy the sign of Aquarius at this time, including the Moon on the 10-12. The New Moon on February 11th pulls all of this together.
This unusual amount of cosmic activity in your privacy and soul sector suggests a period of clearing up elements of the past that are getting in the way of your present and future. Putting an end to situations that have involved too much sacrifice or too little benefit to you can figure strongly now. Aim to clear out the deadwood. Listen to your intuition, pay attention to dreams, and take time to reflect, which will allow you to see more clearly what you’ve missed, neglected, and overlooked.
Venus is retrograde from December 19th. Venus is retrograde in the sign of Capricorn from December 19th, 2021, to January 29, 2022. It’s a slowdown period for love, pleasure, and finances, in general.
During the Venus-retrograde period, you may be in limbo about a friendship or your social life, which can certainly give you the chance to think about what and who you truly value. Let things flow and observe how things are unfolding with as much patience as you can muster. If the pleasure factor has been missing in your social life or regarding happiness goals in your life, now is the time to recognize the problem and strategize solutions.

The horoscope on this page, Pisces Yearly, shows the trends and predictions for the year in detail. Because outer planet transits are lengthy, there are variations in the timing of outer planet transits for each of the three decans of Pisces, and these are shown below the main, general forecast.
There are some supportive, interesting developments for you this year, dear Pisces. Every year, we see challenges and opportunities in different areas. It’s my hope that by understanding these areas of potential disruption and ease, you can make the most of these trends by seeking out the opportunities and managing the challenges.
The following chart shows the outer planets and other points in relation to your sign, revealing whether they are harmonizing with or challenging Pisces:
Grey is neutral (no direct relationship, but can be picky, nagging),
Pink is challenging (the planet is in a direct, challenging relationship to your sign),
and Green is easy and supportive (the planet or point is in a direct, harmonious relationship with your sign).
As is evident in the above chart, you mainly have the support of the outer planets in 2021 for Pisces! This doesn’t happen often. Your main challenge comes from the North Node, which is not an outer planet but rather a point and is not particularly difficult. It does encourage you to check in with your needs for nurture, family, or personal and downtime more often.

Overview: Harmony and Challenge of Outer Planets:
Some of the outer planets are harmonizing with your sign again this year, Pisces. The two outer planets currently transiting Earth signs— Pluto and Uranus—harmonize with Pisces. Neptune is in your sign this year, and, quite magically, Jupiter peeks into Pisces for a sneak preview of more to come in 2022.
Pisces is an emotional Water sign, and is also of a mutable (adaptable, flowing, flexible) quality. To you, some change is okay–you adapt! In 2021, there’s an increase in detached, intellectual energy with a stronger show of planets in Aquarius. You can certainly handle it, but it’s not entirely up your alley.
Areas of change and occasional disruption for you in 2021 tend to be studies, personal interests, friendship, and communications. There is some pressure, as well, to balance your attention to home and career, with a special emphasis on making more time for self-nurture, family activities, and improved home routines and comfort.
This is a powerful year for privacy, rest, reflection, spirituality, and healing or regeneration.
