The LAST QUARTER MOON occurs on Sunday, September 2, 2018, at 10:37 PM EDT.
On Sunday night, the Last Quarter Moon occurs as the Sun in Virgo forms a square with the Moon in Gemini. The Last Quarter Moon phase points to a crisis of consciousness.
After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us–and what doesn’t–in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again. This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. What revelations did you have last week? What did they mean for you? What can be done now?
This phase of the Moon occurs at 10 degrees and 34 minutes of Gemini square the Sun at 10 degrees and 34 minutes of Virgo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 9 to 13 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.
The FULL MOON occurred on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at 7:56 AM EDT.
On Sunday, August 26th, a Full Moon occurred as the Sun in Virgo formed an opposition to the Moon in Pisces. The Virgo-Pisces polarity is the service axis, and it deals with the balance between day-to-day functions and routines, physical health, and the need for order (Virgo) and vision, spiritual health, disorder, and the infinite (Pisces). Virgo rules our personal set of tools and techniques that we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools that we use to deal with our spirituality.
The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or in excessive order. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships. This Full Moon occurs in between a Saturn-Uranus trine, and events or epiphanies happening now are likely to feel right – things seem to fall into place now.
This phase of the Moon occurred at 3 degrees and 12 minutes of Pisces opposite the Sun at 3 degrees and 12 minutes of Virgo, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 29 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and approximately 0 to 7 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) most significantly.

(Times are Eastern)
The Sun is in Virgo; Mercury is in Leo until Wednesday, September 5th, when it enters Virgo; Venus is in Libra; Mars is in Capricorn.
The Sun is in Virgo from August 23-September 22. Our focus shifts to the pieces of the puzzle–the little details of our lives. It is now time to take care of practical concerns. Tending to the details of everyday life may not sound like loads of fun, but it can certainly free us from unnecessary stress that results from “collecting” odds and ends of unfinished business. This is an ideal time to get organized, to do detail work, and to improve communications on the job.
Mercury is in Leo from June 29-September 5. When Mercury is in Leo, our thinking is more confident and grand. The focus is now on the goal–and the grander a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now. We are more expressive, even theatrical and given to speech-giving and story-telling under this influence. We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write. We may not listen as well as we normally do under Mercury in Leo.
Mercury is in Virgo from September 5-21. When Mercury is in Virgo, precision in speech, thought, and process is now important to us. This is a time when we analyze and decide what is useful and what we deem to be impractical. Mercury feels right at home in Virgo, one of the signs that it rules. Dealing with details is natural and easy now. We need to be careful that we don’t lose perspective if we find ourselves lost in details. We should also be aware of the possibility of expressing ourselves in a too factual manner, so much so that we come across as dry, critical, or unimaginative.
Venus is in Libra from August 6-September 9. As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Mars is in Aquarius from May 16-August 12 and September 10-November 15. Dynamic yet erratic energy levels, achieving our goals through hit or miss tactics, and impersonal expression of anger are characteristics of Mars in Aquarius. We are team players–cooperative and less concerned about personal power. We are attracted to unconventional methods and tend to approach problems from an intellectual, detached perspective.
Mars is in Capricorn from August 12- September 10. Note: Mars is retrograde in Capricorn from August 12-27 and then direct in the sign from August 27-September 10. Mars in Capricorn is deliberate, persistent energy. We consider the future and the consequences before taking action during this cycle. Our energy is reliable and faithful. We are slow to anger but can be quite cold if we are frustrated. The shadow side of Mars in Capricorn is rigidity.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Jupiter entered Scorpio on October 10th, 2017, and will remain in the sign until November 8th, 2018. Read about Jupiter in Scorpio transit here.
Uranus entered Taurus on May 15, 2018, and will transit Taurus until November 6, 2018, and then from March 6, 2019, to 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Uranus entered Aries on March 11th, 2011, and will transit Aries until May 15, 2018, and then from November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019. The urge to start fresh, to break free from restrictive attitudes or circumstances, to totally redesign an area of our lives (or even our personalities), and to gain freedom through independence is strong with Uranus in Aries.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Libra from August 6-September 9. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want during this cycle. Although Venus in Libra virtually lives for relationships, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. We prefer things to be done the “right” way, and we are turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. The shadow side of this position is dependence, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so! This is also a time when we are more artistically inclined. We tend to seek balance in our personal environment.
This week: Sweet talk, clarification of feelings, and making promises are themes on Sunday and Monday. Methods, desires, styles, and values clash on Saturday, the 8th, as Venus forms a square to Mars. Sexual tensions and competitiveness are possible, and there can be conflicts that arise from distinct differences between romantic and sexual needs.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Libra August 6-September 9.
Venus sextile Mercury September 2-3. Favors playfulness in love and enhanced communication between partners. Romantic overtures, expressions of love and affection, making new social contacts. This is a time when promises, pledges, and clarifications (usually very positive!) are made in love relationships.
Venus square Mars September 8. Passions run high under this influence. Sexual tensions and competitiveness are possible, and there can be conflicts that arise from distinct differences between romantic and sexual needs. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which need not be difficult. It can be stimulating, creative, passionate, and invigorating.
Venus sesquiquadrate Neptune September 8-9. Romantic confusion as well as relationship ups and downs. Self-deceptions may come to light now.
Venus quincunx Chiron September 9-10. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Venus opposition Uranus September 11-12. Not a good time to start relationships. Independence is the reigning need. Some fickleness. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness.
Venus sextile Saturn September 12. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. A new sense of realism in existing partnerships. Relationships begun under this influence possess a distinctly practical theme, almost as if the partnership is a business endeavor.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, September 2nd, from 1:57 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Gemini at 4:02 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, September 4th, from 2:38 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mercury), until the Moon enters Cancer at 8:04 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, September 6th, from 8:44 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mars), until the Moon enters Leo at 9:55 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, September 8th, from 9:32 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 10:30 AM EDT.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury sextile Venus. It’s easy to make social connections under this influence. This transit favors diplomacy, charm, social graces, negotiations, presentation of ideas, romantic overtures, teaching, business deals, publishing, commerce, public relations, and joint ventures or partnerships. It is often a time when promises and clarifications are made in love relationships.
Jupiter semi-square Saturn. We’re forced to do things by the book, but may not want to. Shortcuts don’t work right now – we need to follow the rules. When we think in big terms, or if we have the urge to expand, we confront obstacles or we are forced to face reality. Some re-structuring of our lives and of our business goals is now in order. We may be looking for new challenges, sometimes because we are forced to do so (because things are not going exactly as we had planned). We have a desire to grow and expand, but our attitude is tempered with some caution and feelings of restriction. There is no “easy fix” just now. It is best to breathe new life into old plans rather than to strike out with a new plan altogether. Take steps to grow, but don’t overextend yourself at this time or you are bound to face frustrations.
Mercury quincunx Mars. What we do and what we think or say are different. Instead of listening to what others have to say, we end up interrupting them and making assumptions. This is not a good day to make important decisions, as our thinking simply isn’t clear.
Mercury quincunx Chiron. Decisions can be hard to come by under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now, which can lead to misunderstandings.
Sun sesquiquadrate Mars. Circumstances spur us into action. Aggressiveness and conflicts are possible now. As long as we channel the excess energy constructively, instead of wasting our time arguing, we can accomplish much.
Mercury trine Uranus. This is an opportune time to attend meetings and other organized group activities, to communicate online, and to take part in activities involving computers, scientific projects, and metaphysics. Unexpected gains may be realized through such mediums. The intuition is strong, and insights seem to come from “out of the blue”. Original, creative ideas are easy to come by.
Mercury trine Saturn. Clear, realistic thinking characterizes this influence. A good time to get organized, to do detail work, and to prepare for the future. Decisions made now tend to be practical and well thought out. Work done now is likely to beget tangible results in the future. Conversations may be spare but to the point. Manifestation and achievement are what satisfy.
Sun opposition Neptune. It’s easy to get lost in fantasy at this time, as we feel somewhat directionless and less able to face everyday realities. Willpower is low. Not a good time for any financial undertaking or formal agreement.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Pluto. “Suspicious minds” characterize this transit, although if we harness the energy, we can develop strategies to get to the bottom of any matter. Mistrust, investigations. Some level of mental stress and pressure. A troubled mind.
Venus square Mars. Passions run high under this influence. Sexual tensions and competitiveness are possible, and there can be conflicts that arise from differences between romantic and sexual needs. Be wary of making impulse purchases. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which need not be difficult. It can be stimulating, creative, and invigorating.

SEPTEMBER 2
The Moon continues its transit of Taurus until 4:02 AM EDT when it enters Gemini. The Gemini Moon is curious, mental, and friendly. Tonight, the Last Quarter Moon occurs as the Sun in Virgo forms a square with the Moon in Gemini. There can be quite a bit of nervous energy today as we may have too many balls in the air. However, we’re heading towards a Mercury-Venus sextile that may bring resolve to a recent disagreement or a missed connection.
The Moon is void from 1:57 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Gemini at 4:02 AM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 3
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Gemini, emphasizing communication. Mercury forms a sextile to Venus today, encouraging social contact, compromises, agreements, negotiations, and clarification of feelings. This transit favors diplomacy, charm, social graces, presentation of ideas, romantic overtures, teaching, business deals, publishing, commerce, public relations, and joint ventures or partnerships. We’re inclined to verbalize or analyze our feelings and relationships. We might also communicate with more warmth and style. Also today, a longer-term aspect, Jupiter semi-square Saturn, comes exact for the third and final time in a set that began in December 2017. This is a time when we’re reminded of the stop-and-go or ebb and flow nature of long-term projects. This is not the time to take shortcuts. Moves that are too big seem to meet with obstacles now, so it’s a time for taking baby steps or for fixing mistakes and making edits before moving forward. Some restructuring of our lives and our business goals is now in order.
SEPTEMBER 4
We’re more inclined to commit in our relationships and take love or pleasure seriously today. There can be a willingness to make sacrifices if it seems the best way to improve our relations and money matters. We can be quite particular in our tastes, and more disciplined with money and savings. The Moon moves from Gemini to Cancer at 8:04 AM EDT, and we begin to crave more peace or quiet. A feeling of belonging or safety motivates us under this influence. We tend to respond to challenges or stress by retreating or withdrawing, and we are chiefly concerned with family and close loved ones.
The Moon is void from 2:38 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mercury), until the Moon enters Cancer at 8:04 AM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 5
Mercury and Mars form a quincunx in the last degree of their respective signs today, pointing to the potential for too-quick judgments, statements, and decisions. We might be anxious to put something behind us and rush decisions as a result. This potential is made even stronger since both Mercury and Mars were recently retrograde in the signs. We can experience aggravation if we’re not understood or if we can’t seem to get where we want to go fast enough. What we do and what we think or communicate can be at odds. Instead of listening to what others have to say, we may end up interrupting them and making assumptions. This is not a good time for making important decisions, and we should watch for impatience. Also today, Pluto and Chiron form a quintile, and we’re exceptionally creative and clever about solving dilemmas, particularly those that may have been holding us back from personal growth. Mercury enters the sign of Virgo tonight and will transit Virgo until the 21st. When Mercury is in Virgo, precision is important to us when it comes to speech, thought, method, and process. Dealing with details is natural and comfortable now. We need to be careful that we don’t lose perspective if we find ourselves lost in details. We should also be aware of the possibility of expressing ourselves in a too factual manner, so much so that we come across as dry, critical, or unimaginative.
SEPTEMBER 6
Saturn stations and turns direct today after retrograde motion since April 17th. This comes as a potent reminder to take care of our responsibilities and bring our goals down to earth this week. With Saturn’s direct turn, our responsibilities, and perhaps our limitations, are magnified. Gradually, our long-term goals and plans become more explicit. With Uranus retrograde, Saturn direct, and Jupiter in aspect to Saturn, this is a less rebellious and more responsible time, generally speaking. At least when it comes to appearances, we are more likely to follow the rules. Mercury heads into a grand Earth trine, harmonizing with both Uranus and stationary Saturn. We’ll be questioning our grip on a situation this week with the Sun moving into opposition with Neptune (exact tomorrow), but this Mercury configuration is grounding and exciting at once. We’re feeling confident about our ideas, methods, or studies now, which can be innovative and practical. The Sun and Mars are in dynamic aspect, introducing some instigating, tense, or impatient elements to the day. This influence can aggravate frustrations if things don’t seem to be moving fast enough for us, and this is likely the case with Saturn at a station today. The Moon continues its transit of Cancer until 9:55 AM EDT, after which it moves through the sign of Leo, and we have a greater need to be heard, seen, and noticed.
The Moon is void from 8:44 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mars), until the Moon enters Leo at 9:55 AM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 7
The Sun opposes Neptune today, and it can be exceptionally easy to get lost in fantasy as we can feel somewhat directionless and not very up to facing everyday realities. The tendency to glamorize others or to put people on a pedestal can cause problems now, and this can extend beyond people to situations and objects. This is a time for seeking a better balance between action and reflection, particularly since we’ve been paying more attention to service to others and our physical health, and we may need to take a step back for spiritual refreshment. We are more sensitive and vulnerable under this influence, but also quite prone to misperceiving people or situations. We might watch for projecting our unrealized dreams or wishes onto others. Fortunately, we have Mercury helping ground us, and there can be key developments that help us improve our methods. Additionally, conversations with others can be useful. Talking and thinking things through helps us make sense of things. The Moon spends the day in creative, affectionate Leo.
SEPTEMBER 8
Very early today, we can get all wound up with Mercury in minor challenging aspect to Pluto. Mental tension is possible now, which ideally motivates us to handle problem areas. The Moon continues its transit of Leo until 10:30 AM EDT, after which it moves through detail-oriented Virgo. Venus forms a square to Mars today, awakening many urges and desires, some of which may only be whims or distractions. Even so, discomfort with the status quo can lead to highly creative workarounds and improvements. Disagreements are possible with differences and contrasts standing out more than usual. There can be a real discrepancy between values and desires. Passions run high. Be wary of making impulse purchases under these conditions. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which may be challenging or invigorating! Both Venus and Mars are heading towards tense aspects with Neptune, and we may also be struggling with our expectations in our relationships. As well, Venus and Mars are in the final degree of their respective signs, increasing the potential of impulsive, hot-headed decisions. Helping ground us is a triangle involving Pallas, Saturn, and Uranus, and this can be a time for finding wisdom in traditional methods and a strong time for bringing structure and robust design to our projects while also seeking improvement and innovation.
The Moon is void from 9:32 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 10:30 AM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Virgo You’re coming into a new cycle centered on taking what you know and what you’ve got and then making the most of it in the real world. Assimilating information and experience, learning lessons and putting them into practice – that’s the focus as this cycle unfolds. It’s a time for prudence and stewardship, a time to tend to the details. You probably already have the grand ideals and visions: now you must get your hands dirty with the bricks and mortar and your mind busy with putting it all together.
Mercury in Leo The hallmark of the cycle you have just begun is thinking, learning and communicating with style. Intellectual creativity is highlighted, and your social connections have a certain flair of drama to them. Winning the admiration of others for the things you say or write (and the way you do it) takes on more importance in your life.
Mercury in Virgo Mental discipline and patience are keynoted as you enter into a new cycle. Thinking things through, accounting for all the details, making careful measurements: these and similar experiences keep your mind active and involved. An interest in health and work may come to the fore.
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Mars in Capricorn With this new cycle taking hold in your life now, taking charge and being in control become more important issues for you. You want to get things organized, and you have the initiative to do it. This is a time of ambition and responsibility, a time to keep your cool and pace yourself. Working hard is smart, but working smart is better.
Jupiter in Scorpio The phase now beginning for you emphasizes fixing what is broken or unhealthy, thereby giving it a new lease on life. This is more than one person alone can handle, so the cooperation of others is essential. You give up something in order to get or create something, and you may not understand the reasons why at the time. Sex, money, power, and vitality become key issues.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
