The NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE occurs on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 10:48 PM EDT.
On Thursday night, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Cancer. This lunation is a Solar Eclipse, and its effects can be felt up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer, domestic issues, family, personal popularity, the public, women’s interests, safety, security, food, support, our past/roots/heritage, and emotional issues are likely a strong focus.
This eclipse is about new beginnings regarding all of these matters. Occurring in the sign of Cancer, we are called upon to feed our foundation–all of that which we call “home,” including the foundation we have built inside of ourselves, needs to be tended to and honored. We need to pay attention to our instincts, our deepest needs, and our feelings; and to recognize the importance of our family and our personal circle of friends and the security, sense of belonging, and safety we derive from them. We are called upon to get in touch with our vulnerability and our needs for intimacy, as well as opening ourselves up to accepting support from others; to offer and show support for others, without a hidden agenda; and we might begin a new project that involves improving the home itself, or improving domestic life in general.
With this potent Cancer energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters. Some of Cancer’s “lessons” involve learning to feed our souls, to honor our innermost feelings, and to get in touch with our vulnerability and dependency on others. We are reminded of our support system and our need for a sense of safety and security. If we focus too much on achieving our career objectives at the expense of building a solid sense of personal satisfaction, we eventually become ineffective both personally and professionally. This is because our push for results on a professional level will not bring us long-term success if we don’t know what it is we need for ourselves on a personal level.
Flaws in an important system in our lives are revealed around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the “new” may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.
An eclipse occurs close to the nodal axis, and this eclipse is closer to the North Node. Eclipses close to the North Node tend to feel easier than those conjuncting or closer to the South Node, as there is a sense of moving forward instead of concentration on having to let go of something. Still, there is an element of the unknown involved that can worry some. However, this eclipse also opposes Pluto quite tightly, and we can feel pushed out of our comfort zones, and this leads to important changes and transformations. Note that in the last set of Cancer-Capricorn eclipses from 2009-2011, the Solar Eclipse on July 1st, 2011 also occurred in Cancer and opposed Pluto (although it was also involved in a difficult grand cross), and similar themes in the months following that eclipse may be in focus now and in the coming months.
Major developments in the personal areas ruled by Cancer in our charts are likely to occur over the course of the next 3-6 months. However, because this is the first of many in a series of eclipses falling in Cancer-Capricorn, we can extend this range much further. The last eclipse falling along this axis will occur in July 2020. Not everyone will feel the effect of the eclipse with the same intensity. Those whose personal planets are activated by the degree of the eclipse will most feel its effects on a personal level. More about this Solar Eclipse.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 20 degrees and 41 minutes of Cancer forming a conjunction to the Sun at 20 degrees and 41 minutes Cancer, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 16 to 26 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

(Times are Eastern)
The Sun is in Cancer; Mercury is in Leo; Venus is in Leo until July 9th, after which Venus transits Virgo; Mars is in Aquarius.
The Sun is in Cancer from June 21-July 22. We are self-protective and insular under this influence. Our attention turns to our nest–our families, homes, and anything that makes us feel “at home”, safe, and secure. Nurturing and taking care of our loved ones and our pet projects come into focus. Emotions run deep. We are more susceptible to the ups and downs of the Moon while the Sun is in Cancer.
Mercury is in Leo from June 29-September 5. When Mercury is in Leo, our thinking is more confident and grand. The focus is now on the goal–and the grander a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now. We are more expressive, even theatrical and given to speech-giving and story-telling under this influence. We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write. We may not listen as well as we normally do under Mercury in Leo.
Venus is in Leo from June 13-July 9. Love is magnificent and grand. We take pride in love, and we are generous with our money as well. This is a warmhearted, teasing, expressive, proud, and extravagant placement for Venus. Love is a bit of a game–a game that is perpetual, as Venus in Leo is forever stuck in the romance stage of a relationship. We feed on attention, acknowledgment, validation, and adoration. Venus in Leo loves to be adored, pampered, and admired. Pride and passion are hallmarks of this cycle. We have a strong ego investment in our love lives during this period. The negative expression of this placement is overstating our feelings simply for the effect, as well as extravagance.
Venus is in Virgo from July 9-August 6. This is a time when we express our love through practical means and gestures–running errands, doing detail work, or just being there for our lovers. Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. Virgo is an Earth sign, which is sensual but also quite practical. Besides our romantic natures, what we decide to buy and the types of entertainment we enjoy during this cycle is ruled by whether or not things make sense. We could easily feel guilty if we are too self-indulgent at this time. Rendering services to others can fill a need, and can be an expression of love. The shadow side of this position is being overly critical of our partners, picky, or worrisome.
Mars is in Aquarius from May 16-August 12 and September 10-November 15. Dynamic yet erratic energy levels, achieving our goals through hit or miss tactics, and impersonal expression of anger are characteristics of Mars in Aquarius. We are team players–cooperative and less concerned about personal power. We are attracted to unconventional methods and tend to approach problems from an intellectual, detached perspective.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Jupiter entered Scorpio on October 10th, 2017, and will remain in the sign until November 8th, 2018. Read about Jupiter in Scorpio transit here.
Uranus entered Taurus on May 15, 2018, and will transit Taurus until November 6, 2018, and then from March 6, 2019, to 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Uranus entered Aries on March 11th, 2011, and will transit Aries until May 15, 2018, and then from November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019. The urge to start fresh, to break free from restrictive attitudes or circumstances, to totally redesign an area of our lives (or even our personalities), and to gain freedom through independence is strong with Uranus in Aries.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Leo from June 13-July 9. Love is magnificent and grand!
If it makes sense you love it, and if it doesn’t you feel guilty about it: that’s what it’s like now. A loving attention to details and a sense of satisfaction in doing what is right (especially with respect to your health) are some of the qualities that come to the fore at a time like this.
This week: Wednesday and Thursday are excellent for branching out, exploring new ways of interacting or enjoying ourselves with one another, and embracing new experiences. Even so, there can be some tendency to hold back our feelings. Friday and Saturday, we’re ready to lock something down, make a commitment, or simply embrace responsibility.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Leo June 13-July 9.Romance becomes an end in itself as a new cycle begins for you. It marks a time when love, creativity, and self-expression satisfy a deep yearning to be appreciated and admired – needed, even. A flashy, flirty, stylish splash of color and warmth.
Venus quincunx Pluto June 30-July 1. This is a time of adjustments and re-assessments in our close personal relationships and/or with regards to our social lives. Issues of power and control can arise. Unreasonable or irrational fears of loss, or jealousy, could also emerge.
Venus trine Uranus July 11. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit.
Venus parallel Uranus July 11-12. We embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit. Peculiar, sudden, or avant garde attractions. This is an exciting but unstable energy. Friendship in love relationships becomes more important.
Venus quincunx Chiron July 11-12. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Venus trine Saturn July 13-14. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. A new sense of realism and maturity in existing partnerships. Relationships begun under this influence possess a distinctly practical theme, almost as if the partnership is a business endeavor, and have much potential to last.
Venus sesquiquadrate Pluto July 13-14. Tendencies to look for something wrong in a relationship. Jealousy raises its ugly head.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, July 9th, from 12:10 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Gemini shortly thereafter at 12:58 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, July 10th, from 4:00 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Neptune), until the Moon enters Cancer the next day, Wednesday, July 11th, at 1:59 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, July 12th, from 10:48 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to the Sun), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Friday, July 13th, at 1:31 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, July 14th, from 7:12 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mercury), until the Moon enters Virgo the next day, Sunday, July 15th, at 1:31 PM EDT.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Sun trine Neptune. We’re at the right place at the right time, probably because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in”. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits like no drug can. A good time for self-improvement programs or efforts. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence. We are able to see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that allows for, and even finds beauty in, differences.
Mercury square Jupiter. Information overload is possible today. It is all too easy to miss or neglect important details. We may exaggerate, have a hard time putting our ideas to practical use, or overstate under this influence. This is an unfavorable transit for travel. Our ideas and plans may be too grandiose just now. We could have a hard time convincing others of our point of view, and we could too easily jump to conclusions. There could be a lot of talk about nothing. Lack of clear mental focus, but we may make measurable progress if we can concentrate.
Venus trine Uranus. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements as well as financial undertakings. We are ready to experiment, but not ready to commit. Creative inspiration can be had. We have an offbeat, pleasant attitude and people are more willing to socialize. A good time for financial undertakings involving electronics, technology, the internet, metaphysics, and the arts, as well as group activities.
Venus quincunx Chiron. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Mercury quincunx Neptune. There can be uncertainty and indecision now, as it can be difficult to draw upon intuition or to combine logic and intuition in a cohesive manner. Alternatively, the tendency to daydream can be high, and often at the expense of productivity and clear communication.
Sun opposition Pluto. The Sun in dynamic aspect to Pluto suggests willfulness and dealing with issues of power and competition. We may feel on edge, volatile, or even threatened. In extreme cases, infantile rage is possible. There is an inner drama taking place now, and a feeling that external circumstances are undermining our own feeling of powerfulness. In the process, we may be able to get in touch with our internal motivations. A tendency to want to control our lives through some form of manipulation is strong during this influence. Meeting with obstacles in our paths, however, can force us into the position of using all of our resources to fight back, and we can discover resources we never knew we had in the process.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Chiron. Communications may be careless, hurtful or perceived as hurtful under this influence. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. There may be impatience with rules, worry or guilty feelings, and conflicting viewpoints now.
Venus trine Saturn. Affections stabilize and mature. Affections stabilize and mature. Maturity with others allows us to take the bad with the good, and finds us seeing our relationships realistically. Small advances can be made in business and in partnerships through strengthening and bonding. Support from older people or authority figures may come by way of solid advice or more tangible help. Renewed ties to old friends are possible, or a new sense of responsibility can be felt in existing friendships. Business sense is good.
Venus sesquiquadrate Pluto. This influence can point to some underlying tensions in social interactions (looking for an ulterior motive and suspiciousness) and relationships (possible jealousies). Passions run hot, but there’s a hidden agenda. Feelings of jealousy and possessiveness can be brewing just under the surface of things, and they are in direct proportion to our fear of losing something or someone dear to us. Sometimes, this transit correlates with heartbreak, feelings of unreciprocated love, or romantic disappointment. Often, financial matters come to the fore. Manipulation can color relationships now. Avoid power plays with friends and lovers.
Note: Times given in the table/calendar above are Eastern Time (ET).

JULY 8
While the Moon spends the day in practical, earthy Taurus, the Sun forms a trine to Neptune this morning, and this is strong, watery, spiritual and emotional energy. We’re inspired, and charitable acts now lift our spirits. We see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that not only allows for but finds beauty in, differences. This is a fluid, graceful influence. We’re tuned into our intuition or access it more naturally now. It’s easy to find inspiration, and we may be moved to help, support, or give of ourselves. Later today, however, a Mercury and Jupiter approach a square, which can create some friction, potentially stimulating impatient speech and decision-making. We should aim to be quick, not hasty. We may exaggerate, have a hard time putting our ideas to practical use, or overstate/promise too much under this influence. We can very well waste our time on inconsequential matters, but this can also be a good time to stretch our minds to entertain bigger possibilities.
JULY 9
The Moon continues its transit of practical, patient Taurus until 12:58 PM EDT, when it enters communicative, curious Gemini. Mercury forms a square to Jupiter this morning, and we seek more meaning from our lives. Oftentimes this leads to exaggeration or misjudgment. However, big ideas coming to mind now may very well hold weight at a later date after we’ve made some refinements. Venus enters Virgo tonight and will spend four weeks in this Mutable Earth sign – until August 6th. We may be paying special attention to details and might more thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done during this cycle. This is a time when we express our love through practical means and gestures–running errands, doing detail work, or just being there for our loved ones. Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. The shadow side of this position is being overly critical of our partners, picky, or worrisome.
The Moon is void from 12:10 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Gemini shortly thereafter at 12:58 PM EDT.
JULY 10
Jupiter stations and turns direct today after four months of retrograde motion (since March 9th). Gradually over the next few weeks, matters ruled by Jupiter will move forward more straightforwardly. Our confidence in ourselves and the universe builds. Our faith and perspective expand, although as this shift occurs, issues can seem larger than life, and with a Solar Eclipse happening in just two days, life can feel intense. This direct turn can feel refreshing at a time when there is quite a bit of retrograde activity, in general. Also today, we’re finding value in organizing and structuring our home life or relationships with family. Responsibilities to our loved ones are clear, and we readily accept them. Even so, tendencies to possessiveness or excessive attachment can be aggravated right now, which can drive the people or things involved away. We might try to resist urges to stifle, control, and manipulate others. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Gemini, and our curiosity knows few bounds.
The Moon is void from 4:00 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Neptune), until the Moon enters Cancer the next day, Wednesday, July 11th, at 1:59 PM EDT.
JULY 11
The Moon continues to transit Gemini until 1:59 PM EDT when it enters Cancer, and we begin to favor comfort over satisfying our curiosity. Socially, while we can hold part of ourselves back, we have a pleasant, offbeat attitude to others today with a Venus-Uranus trine and a Venus-Chiron quincunx. We can feel creatively inspired, celebrate the avant-garde, and entertain unusual cravings. We are a little more open-minded in our relationships, business, and pleasures or entertainment, and this can open up new opportunities to us. We’re open to explore and experiment as we feel a need to break away from our usual choices. Furthermore, we’re intrigued by our differences. We could be a little commitment-shy today, however, and we need to watch for a tendency to put ourselves into situations that we may not be ready for at this time. This is particularly the case with an approaching Sun-Pluto opposition, exact early tomorrow, and a Solar Eclipse occurring tomorrow night.
The Moon is void until 1:59 PM EDT when it enters Cancer.
JULY 12
The Sun opposes Pluto this morning, and this can be a time of releasing something we’ve been holding onto too tightly or giving away our personal power, likely through relationships or events. This can feel uncomfortable or can be disruptive, but leads to greater self-awareness. Outside forces can remind us of our need to take charge of our lives, but shortcuts to gaining control will not work out for us. A tricky or buried issue comes to a head. Matters of power and competition can surface for handling. We may feel on edge, volatile, and/or defensive. There can be an inner drama taking place now, or a feeling that external circumstances are undermining our feeling of powerfulness. We may experience a battle within ourselves between light and dark forces, or we can meet this through others. Purging and releasing is especially useful with a Solar Eclipse occurring tonight in the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer, and we’re beginning fresh related to domestic issues, family, personal popularity, the public, women’s interests, safety, security, food, support, our past/roots/heritage, and emotional issues. We need to pay particular attention to our instincts, our deepest needs, and our feelings; and to recognize the importance of our family and our personal circle of friends and the security, sense of belonging, and safety we derive from them.
The Moon is void from 10:48 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to the Sun), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Friday, July 13th, at 1:31 PM EDT.
JULY 13
The Moon continues to transit Cancer until 1:31 PM EDT when it enters the sign of Leo. There may be impatience with rules, worry or guilty feelings, and conflicting viewpoints stirring up tensions with a Mercury-Chiron minor challenging aspect this morning. A trine between Venus and Saturn (exact very early tomorrow) is stabilizing, however, and promotes a realistic and perhaps materialistic view of our relationships as the day progresses. Small advances in business and partnerships come through strengthening and bonding. A new sense of responsibility can be experienced in existing friendships. Business sense is excellent, particularly as the trine occurs in practical Earth signs.
The Moon is void until 1:31 PM EDT when it enters Leo.
JULY 14
Venus forms a minor challenging aspect with Pluto today, and there can be some underlying tensions in social interactions (looking for an ulterior motive and suspiciousness) and relationships (possible jealousies). Feelings of jealousy and possessiveness can be brewing just under the surface of things, and they are in direct proportion to our fear of losing something or someone dear to us. Manipulation can color relationships, or financial tensions emerge. The Moon continues its transit of theatrical, affectionate Leo, all day. It aligns with Mercury tonight, encouraging us to think or talk about, intellectualize, analyze, or quantify our feelings. This morning’s Moon-Jupiter square can stimulate restlessness which may very well lead to indulgence.
The Moon is void from 7:12 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mercury), until the Moon enters Virgo the next day, Sunday, July 15th, at 1:31 PM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Cancer Being more in touch with your emotional roots is a keynote of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. This has to do with feelings, but it’s more than that: it’s about making the things you feel and care about a reality. At some levels, this means a greater focus on family life – parents, children, relatives, the whole domestic scene. On a somewhat broader scale, you’re likely to find that houses and other real property take on greater significance for you. Nurturing is where it’s at in your life now: making things grow and taking care of them, planting seeds that will develop and survive far into the future – that’s what it’s all about.
Mercury in Leo The hallmark of the cycle you have just begun is thinking, learning and communicating with style. Intellectual creativity is highlighted, and your social connections have a certain flair of drama to them. Winning the admiration of others for the things you say or write (and the way you do it) takes on more importance in your life.
Venus in Leo Romance becomes an end in itself as a new cycle begins for you. It marks a time when love, creativity, and self-expression satisfy a deep yearning to be appreciated and admired – needed, even. A flashy, flirty, stylish splash of color and warmth.
Venus in Virgo If it makes sense you love it, and if it doesn’t you feel guilty about it: that’s what it’s like now. A loving attention to details and a sense of satisfaction in doing what is right (especially with respect to your health) are some of the qualities that come to the fore at a time like this.
Mars in Aquarius The reformer, the inventor, the engineer, the revolutionary – these are important archetypes for you as a new cycle gets underway in your life. They are icons of the ambitions that stir you at a time like this. Independence, freedom from past patterns, and a daring readiness to innovate: such are the paths of achievement for you now.
Jupiter in Scorpio The phase now beginning for you emphasizes fixing what is broken or unhealthy, thereby giving it a new lease on life. This is more than one person alone can handle, so the cooperation of others is essential. You give up something in order to get or create something, and you may not understand the reasons why at the time. Sex, money, power, and vitality become key issues.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
