The FULL MOON/LUNAR ECLIPSE occurs on Monday, January 21, 2019, at 12:17 AM EST.
Early Monday, a Full Moon occurs, when the Sun in Aquarius forms an opposition with the Moon in Leo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
This Full Moon is especially potent, as it is a Lunar Eclipse. Lunar eclipses are relationship-oriented. The “crisis” that these eclipses tend to elicit is a crisis of lack – a time when we suddenly recognize a great need or want. The impact of the crisis can act to sever a relationship – it’s possible. But it can also bring two people together with a sudden awareness of a great need for each other. Although Lunar eclipses are more relationship-oriented than Solar eclipses, they are not always about relationships between two people. They can trigger awareness of need in other areas of our lives, such as our relationship to work, to our health and bodies, and so forth. This is a time when matters come to light – things that have been brewing under the surface.
This Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs, lacks, and wants in our lives. The Leo-Aquarius polarity deals with the balance between the personal (Leo) and the impersonal (Aquarius). The energy of Leo is creative self-expression and the boost to the individual ego that we receive through pleasure and romance, while Aquarius rules the group, more impersonal friendships, and objectivity. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between romance and friendship, and between expressing ourselves in personal and impersonal ways.
The Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual—not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Sun, while individualistic as well, values independence and the “team.” The Full Moon illuminates this conflict. Some sort of crisis (which can be a crisis of consciousness) or sudden awareness of a lack in our lives provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs within the context of the house polarity where the eclipse occurs in our natal charts. Relationships may be challenged, broken, or strengthened dramatically at this time. Our discovery is emotionally charged and dramatic. Epiphanies are likely at this time as we become acutely aware of our lack. This understanding can propel us into positive action. Eclipses are tied to changing circumstances. However, we are usually the ones to precipitate or to attract changes because our “inner guides” know that we need it. Human beings are progressive by nature, and although we might stay in situations that are making us miserable for longer than we should, deep down inside we know that change is necessary for growth.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic “illumination” occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as emotions burst forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational as yet. Full Moons are about exposing or illuminating issues that are already there, but that have not yet been dealt with.
When a Full Moon occurs, we can suddenly burst forth with proclamations and outpourings that seem fresh and new, simply because they are not yet rationalized. A Lunar eclipse is a more potent Full Moon, and its effects tend to last longer–approximately six months.
Full Moons and Lunar Eclipses bring issues in our lives to fulfillment. Our emotions are heightened, and there is often some sort of drama involved with the house, sign, and any contacted planets activated by the Full Moon. Look at 0-1 degrees of Leo/Aquarius in your own chart. This Lunar Eclipse gives us a cosmic push to make needed changes in our lives. The areas of life activated by the eclipse may see dramatic turns, after which the path is clear to move forward. Note that whatever “happens” at this time is nothing truly new. The issues have been brewing inside of us, and emotions have been building. Something comes to light at the time of the Full Moon, and if we get in touch with our emotions, we can get a better idea of what needs to change, or what needs to go.
This is the final eclipse in the Leo-Aquarius set and is in the very first degree of Leo, suggesting an epiphany or heightened awareness of our feelings that sets us along a new path. See more about the Lunar Eclipse here.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 0 degrees and 52 minutes of Leo opposition the Sun at 0 degrees and 52 minutes of Aquarius, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 26 to 30 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 0 to 6 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Capricorn until the 20th, after which the Sun is in Aquarius; Mercury is in Capricorn until the 24th, after which Mercury is in Aquarius; Venus is in Sagittarius; Mars is in Aries.
The Sun is in Capricorn from December 21-January 20. We are motivated by feelings of responsibility, ambition, and respect for law and order. Capricorn derives much satisfaction in completion and accomplishment. Standards, structures, and an appreciation for order are Capricorn themes. Capricorn wants tangible results, knows what is feasible and what is not, and is most comfortable working within an established framework and known boundaries or limits. Working towards a long-term goal is most satisfying with this influence.
The Sun is in Aquarius from January 20-February 18. During this cycle, we are motivated by our hunger for knowledge, experience, and originality. Innovation is more important to us than convention. We become more aware of what is outdated in our lives, and we strive to find new perspectives and new ways to do things. The class distinctions, structure, and order that Capricorn finds appealing now seem to be too rigid. The freedom of the individual becomes far more significant to us. We strive to free ourselves from some of the restrictions, inhibitions, and limitations that now feel constraining rather than safe.
Mercury is in Capricorn from January 4-24. When Mercury is in Capricorn, our thinking is methodical and our focus is sober and practical. It is easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles become more logical, orderly, and organized. We are more able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes important to us. We need to be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking. We may come across as cold or harsh. For some, there is a fine line between realism and pessimism.
Mercury is in Aquarius from January 24-February 10. When Mercury is in Aquarius, we are hungry for knowledge and open to new and original ideas. We begin to think outside of the box, and our thinking becomes more progressive and objective. Our communication and thought patterns are spontaneous, somewhat fragmented, and liberal. This is a time when inventive thinking is at a peak.
Venus is in Sagittarius from January 7-February 3. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy shifts from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind. Romantic adventures, as well as a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love, are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are things that take priority with Sagittarius.
Mars is in Aries from December 31-February 14. Mars feels at home in one of the signs that it rules, Aries, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident. Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 8th, 2018, and transits the sign until December 2nd, 2019. Read more about the Jupiter in Sagittarius transit.
Uranus transited Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6, 2019, to 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Uranus returned to the sign of Aries on November 6th, 2018, for a four-month stay.
Uranus entered Aries on March 11th, 2011, and continued its transit of Aries until May 15, 2018, and then from November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019. The urge to start fresh, to break free from restrictive attitudes or circumstances, to totally redesign an area of our lives (or even our personalities), and to gain freedom through independence is strong with Uranus in Aries.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Sagittarius from January 7 to February 3, 2019. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy changes from intense to buoyant. Truth and higher meaning are focal points for Sagittarius. Venus in Sagittarius is forward-looking, not very specific, outgoing, and energetic. Freedom is most important in our love relationships now. We take a happy and enthusiastic approach to love, and we might find too much intensity or seriousness depressing. We have a taste for the exotic as well as for adventure with Venus in Sagittarius. The shadow side of this position is restlessness, the inability to “settle down,” and endlessly searching for something bigger and “better.”
This week: Venus aligns with Jupiter in its home sign of Sagittarius and is parallel the Sun on Monday and Tuesday. This is a wonderful time for bringing more energy, warmth, and generosity to our relationships. We’re celebratory, willing to experiment, and excited to expand, grow, and learn.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Sagittarius January 7-February 2. A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Venus trine Mars January 17-18. Sexual attraction, romantic activities, and fertility are favored. This is one of the best times to enhance a relationship. Excellent time for starting a new relationship, all things equal.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus January 19-20. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus square Neptune January 20. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit–a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment.
Venus parallel the Sun January 21-22. A strong desire for harmony and comfort fill us now. We may be moved to express our affections.
Venus conjunct Jupiter January 21-22. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. An excellent time (all things considered) to begin a new relationship, or renew an old/existing one.
Venus parallel Mercury January 27-28. A congenial time when we appreciate diplomacy and socialize more readily.
Venus semi-square Mercury January 28-29. Communications between lovers may feel superficial or unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. We may be especially sensitive to what’s being communicated now.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, January 20th, from 8:51 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Uranus), until the Moon enters Leo at 10:55 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, January 22nd, from 8:20 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Uranus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 10:23 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Thursday, January 24th, from 8:51 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Libra at 11:03 PM EST.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
This week, the Moon is waxing until the Full Moon on the 21st — a period that is generally considered favorable for new beginnings with exceptions–after which the Moon is waning, generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, again with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from Monday, January 21st, at approximately 10 PM EST, until Tuesday, January 22nd, at approximately 8:15 PM EST, while the Moon is in Leo. Another window occurs on Thursday, January 24th, from approximately 4:30 AM to 8:45 AM EST, while the Moon is in Virgo. No planets are retrograde again this week.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus. Unusual attractions (to people and things) can have us acting on a whim. We may deal with freedom versus closeness issues in our relationships. Relationships or finances can be unpredictable. Changes now can create fresh opportunities, however, that can add to our sense of joy and freedom.
Sun semi-square Jupiter. We may feel vague restlessness and discontent with life as it is. We want more, but perhaps too much. Overestimation, wastefulness, and exaggeration. Elevated moods, but unstable ones, as they may not be based on reality.
Venus square Neptune. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit – a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disa
Mars square Saturn. Frustrations, smoldering anger, and a feeling of being blocked when we are attempting to go after what we want characterize this transit. Our desire to take action and to constructively express our aggressive urges feels thwarted or blocked. It can feel like more effort than usual is required to complete tasks.
Venus conjunct Jupiter. A potentially magical transit when we are especially generous and giving, optimistic, and kind towards others. We might also be quite indulgent under this influence. We might be tempted to overspend or overstate our feelings now. We are sociable, fun-loving, and desirous of sharing our happiness with others. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. This can be an excellent influence for beginning a new relationship or financial undertaking, or for renewing and refreshing existing ties with others.
Mercury square Uranus. Our senses are stimulated, and we could have sudden flashes of insight or fresh new ideas. However, our ideas are not always received well by others and we can be scatter-brained. It’s a challenge to deal with routine matters or monotonous tasks under this influence. Tasks may be left undone or interrupted. This is not a good time to be understood, so we may want to hold off presenting our ideas for the time being. New information can surface now that upsets the status quo, but can also act to stimulate our minds into new ways of thinking.
Mercury sextile Chiron. This is an excellent period for opening up communications with others, as we are more sensitive than usual and more willing to listen. Getting our point across is easier, as it’s not only about which words we choose to communicate, we intuitively express the meaning and intention behind the words. We can effectively use words to heal and comfort just now. We are also more open to new ways of looking at problems or at life in general.
Mercury semi-square Neptune. We are not thinking clearly, preferring to daydream. Technical facts can be glossed over at this time. It’s not a good time to make a presentation, to ask for what you want, or to formalize agreements.
Mercury semi-square Jupiter. We experience information overload, and we neglect to consider details. People tend to exaggerate today. Monotonous mental tasks are harder to take under this influence. Our minds are restless.
Mars trine Jupiter. Decisive action comes naturally now. We possess willpower, verve, and energy that we can direct toward achieving our goals. Success in contracts, negotiations, and business deals comes easily. We want to branch out and take on more challenges. A good time for making new goals or to initiate new projects (all things equal). Optimism and enthusiasm; adventurous spirit. Positive attitudes create winning situations now. Friendly competition. Taking action to better our lives.

JANUARY 20
The Sun enters Aquarius today and will transit the sign until February 18th. During this cycle, we are motivated by our hunger for knowledge, experience, and originality. Innovation is more important to us than convention. We become more aware of what is outdated in our lives, and we strive to find new perspectives and methods. The class distinctions, structure, and order that Capricorn found appealing now seem to be too rigid. The freedom of the individual becomes far more significant to us. We strive to free ourselves from some of the restrictions, inhibitions, and limitations that now feel constraining rather than safe in the month ahead. A Venus-Neptune square can cast a veil over our needs, wants, and perceptions today, however. We may be dreaming up the ideal, which can clash with reality, and we can be lacking discrimination particularly when it comes to people we care about, our relationships, and material things. We should make an effort to separate fact from fiction so that we don’t set ourselves up for disappointment. What appears to be a great buy or something we absolutely need may very well turn out to be useless to us, or worse, a financial drain or money pit. Lines can blur when it comes to the pursuit of pleasure, as we can convince ourselves to believe what we want to believe. We’re also heading towards a square between Mars and Saturn, exact tomorrow morning, and things are even more complicated! We may be feeling blocked from asserting ourselves or pursuing our desires. This is a time for slowing down and making adjustments and edits, as we may encounter resistance if we push ahead. The Moon spends most of the day in the sign of Cancer, entering Leo at 10:55 PM EST.
The Moon is void from 8:51 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Uranus), until the Moon enters Leo at 10:55 PM EST.
JANUARY 21
The Lunar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Leo shortly into the day, and our emotions are heightened. There can be some level of drama involved with the house, sign, and any contacted planets activated by the eclipse. This total Lunar Eclipse, occurring in the first degree of Leo, gives us a cosmic push to make needed changes in our lives, and this can be the final push that decides matters as it’s the last eclipse in a set of eclipses occurring in Leo and its opposite sign, Aquarius, in the past couple of years. There can be epiphanies or turning points that effectively clear the path to move forward. This morning, a Mars-Saturn square perfects, and a desire to take action or assert ourselves feels thwarted or blocked. It can seem like more effort than usual is required to complete tasks. There can be criticism, whether we face this within ourselves or through others, and perhaps even imagined disapproval. This is a time for recognizing some of our limits and adjusting our speed accordingly. The day’s energies lighten considerably as it advances and we get closer to the Venus-Jupiter alignment that will occur tomorrow morning. The Moon forms trines to Mars and then Venus tonight, also encouraging our creativity.
JANUARY 22
Venus aligns with Jupiter today in the sign of Sagittarius, and Venus and the Sun form a parallel aspect. These aspects promote cooperation, the kind of pride that motivates us to improve, optimism, forgiveness, and generosity, although they can also elevate our expectations! A strong desire for harmony and comfort fill us now. We may be moved to express our affections. We can be indulgent or tempted to overspend or overstate our feelings. We are sociable and seeking out some fun. Our love of learning, exploring, and sharing can be in the spotlight, and our appetite for love and pleasure especially strong. We’re opening our hearts– and possibly wallets. The Moon continues its transit of creative, demonstrative Leo for most of the day, until 10:23 PM EST, after which it transits helpful, conscientious Virgo, and we want to take care of business.
The Moon is void from 8:20 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Uranus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 10:23 PM EST.
JANUARY 23
Mercury is on the verge of leaving the sign of Capricorn, but before it goes, it forms several aspects. Mercury is square Uranus, sextile Chiron and Ceres, semi-square Neptune, and parallel both Saturn and Jupiter today, and this combination is highly creative and fertile. We can have breakthrough ideas and discussions. We are discussing and learning from past experiences, love, attachments, family, and even rejection. We enjoy helping people, teaching, and growing through our connections. There can be some abrasiveness, impulsiveness, disorganization, or abruptness with our communications, but also a desire to understand and learn from our mistakes. The Moon spends the day in the helpful, particular sign of Virgo. It’s a good time for learning, sharing, and applying our ideas.
JANUARY 24
Mercury enters the sign of Aquarius today, where it will transit until February 10th. During this cycle, we are hungry for knowledge and open to new and original ideas. Our thinking is progressive and objective. Our communication and thought patterns are spontaneous, somewhat fragmented, and liberal. This is a time when inventive thinking is at a peak. Mercury forms a semi-square to Jupiter today, and we may feel a little overwhelmed with information or, on the other side of things, overlook essential details. There’s a tendency to exaggerate or dramatize as tedious mental tasks are especially difficult to digest under this influence. We’re heading towards a fiery Mars-Jupiter trine, exact tomorrow, that increases our courage and desire to explore, discover, and innovate. The Moon continues to transit helpful, intelligent Virgo for most of the day, entering gracious Libra at 11:03 PM EST.
The Moon is void from 8:51 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Libra at 11:03 PM EST.
JANUARY 25
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Libra, harmonizing with Mercury and then the Sun in Aquarius this morning, and encouraging open conversations and cooperation. Mars and Jupiter, both transiting signs they rule and thus in strong form, join in a fabulous trine today, promoting the confident and faithful pursuit of our desires. We’re enterprising and pioneering now. This pairing stimulates our enthusiasm as well as our passion for freedom. It’s a great time to think up an exciting new plan or challenge, and we can be moved to take action to better our lives. We possess particular willpower, vigor, and energy that we can direct toward achieving our goals. Positive attitudes create winning situations. Tonight’s Moon-Saturn square can serve as a small reality check, however, as we’re reminded of a responsibility that seems to clash with our relationship goals.
JANUARY 26
The Moon spends another the day in the sign of Libra, and we’re especially sensitive to areas of our lives (and especially our relationships) that have come out of balance. The Moon opposes Mars and squares Pluto today, and there can be some restlessness, impatience, and combativeness even so. Despite some level of emotional volatility, we’re moving towards a Jupiter-Saturn parallel that helps temper and moderate us, improving our ability to be impartial and fair, which ultimately pleases the fair-minded, just, and balanced Moon in Libra. The Moon also harmonizes with Venus and Jupiter, and we’re finding ways to blend, balance, and cooperate with one another.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Capricorn You see what’s wrong and you know what to do now: the time has come to make it real, and it’s a lot bigger than any one person. This means cooperation and organization, authority and discipline, responsibility – and all these things are what it takes to get you where you know you must go. But take care! If your vision is only for yourself, what you create cannot last: it must be for some greater good. Ambition, practicality, and achievement are admirable, but they are means to an end – not ends in themselves.
Sun in Aquarius This is a time when your path of self-development and expression becomes more and more unusual – setting you apart from the crowd and from all that is traditional. The new, the futuristic, the high-tech are the hallmarks of your lifestyle as the cycle gets underway. Ideas and technologies that change the way people live – not just one person, but many – are a major new focus in your life. Involvement with ideals and idealistic groups enhances your sense of purpose and mission.
Mercury in Capricorn Figuring out how to organize projects and people is apt to become a topic of special interest – and a challenge – at a time like this. Opinions are not enough for you now: they must be backed by authority or evidence, and above all, they must have practical worth and application. A period of intense study and thought.Mercury in Aquarius The tried and true doesn’t cut it anymore: it’s the new, the unique, and the original that catches and holds your interest now. Idealism, rationality, and critical thinking become more and more a part of your mental patterns and the way you communicate. You are inventive, original, high tech.
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Mars in Aries Fresh challenges and initiatives light your fires now, as a new cycle begins in your life – lots of energy, a powerful urge to be first or come out on top. Away with the old and on to the new – let no one and nothing stand between you and your objective! Headstrong impulses and rash courage can take you far … sometimes in harm’s way, if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Sagittarius Faith, optimism, and a yearning to explore all kinds of new horizons: these are some of the focal points in your life at this time. Travel, education, and other ways to stretch your horizons open new doors of opportunity. Religious, philosophical, and cultural matters are likely to have special appeal for you now; transmitting ideas on a broader scale brings gain.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Aries A clean break with the past in some respects is signaled by the cycle you have just begun. What YOU need, YOUR freedom and independence, shattering old molds: these are the things that energize you and take priority in your life. Uniqueness and originality set you apart.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
