Last Quarter Moon
The Last Quarter MOON occurs on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at 9:25 AM EDT.
On Saturday morning, the Last Quarter Moon is exact, when the Sun in Libra squares the Moon in Cancer.
The Last Quarter Moon phase points to a crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us–and what doesn’t–in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again.
This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. We might now consider our revelations and their meaning.
The Last Quarter Moon Chart:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 10 degrees and 21 minutes of Cancer, square the Sun at the same degree of Libra, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 8 to 12 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.
NEXT WEEK: The next Moon phase will happen on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, at 11:50 AM, EDT, when the New Moon will occur in the sign of Libra.

This week: The Sun is in Libra; Mercury is in Libra until the 30th, when it enters Scorpio; Venus is in Scorpio; Mars is in Cancer until September 27th, when it enters Leo.
The Sun is in Libra from September 22-October 23. Libra rules relationships with others as mirrors of ourselves. Meeting others halfway, compromise, and negotiation come under the rule of Libra. The focus is now on balance–finding balance and harmony through relationships with others and through art. Libra is the sign of the peacemaker.
However, life is not always peaceful with Libra in its attempt to restore balance. Decision-making can be more challenging while the Sun is in Libra. Libra weighs both sides of any situation, and sometimes this process seems endless!
In Libra, the Sun is concerned about not rocking the boat and not rubbing others the wrong way. Tactfulness, style, tolerance, and sociability are some of the keywords for Libra. On the shadow side, Libra can be self-serving, indecisive, passive-aggressive, and superficial.
Mercury is in Libra from September 10-30. When Mercury is in Libra, we are diplomatic and friendly. During this cycle, we bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. It’s a good time to think about ways to improve our negotiation skills.
Mercury in Libra can be vacillating energy as we attempt to see both sides of any given situation. Making quick decisions can be more challenging than usual, as we can sit “on the fence.” We may too easily accommodate others’ opinions to keep the peace. In our negotiations, we don’t want to assert ourselves so as to appear to be the “bad guy.” However, this is a reasonable period for considering others’ points of view. We are more inclined to arrive at fair conclusions.
Mercury is in Scorpio from September 30-December 6. [This cycle is longer than usual due to Mercury’s upcoming retrograde cycle from October 24th to November 13th.] When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and arrive at reasonable solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover.
We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations.
Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical yet also intuitive. Thinking is inclined to be one-track-minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Mercury-in-Scorpio isn’t shocked by much, or at least keeps its cool even if surprised. During this cycle, our approach is psychological when analyzing, deciding, and studying or observing. We’re not afraid to go places mentally. We get to the heart of a matter or to the bottom line very quickly, usually through instinct. Our resourcefulness and strategy stand out. We’re competitive.
We can be intrigued by motives and secrets or taboos. It’s not easy to take instruction or someone’s word for it–we have to experience it ourselves to draw conclusions. This position of Mercury is one of the most persuasive. It’s an excellent time to research, investigate, troubleshoot, and work on hunches. If left to observe on our own, we do our best thinking, seeking the hidden layers of a situation.
Venus is in Scorpio from September 10-October 25, and later, from December 4-January 7, 2027 [this is longer than usual and in two steps due to an upcoming retrograde Venus cycle from October 3-November 13]. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. It’s a highly emotional position for Venus, and it’s passionate energy.
Our relationships are immensely important to us, and we may even feel that they consume us. In fact, we tend to want to be consumed by them! Our drive is toward intense closeness, but unquestioning faith in our partners is extremely hard for us now. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our own power to others are strong. Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result. Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises to feel alive and vital.
Similarly, during this Venus-in-Scorpio cycle, we seek or gravitate to absorbing, deeply engaging, dramatic pleasures, activities, projects, and art. Things that are profound, disturbing, mysterious, or unusual can be more appealing now.
This can be a good time for finances, especially when working with others’ talents or resources, whether as an agent, supporter, or partner.
Mars is in Cancer from August 11-September 27. We pursue our interests ardently, but we avoid a direct approach to going after we want while Mars transits Cancer. As well, our goals and plans are subject to mood swings and vacillations. We are defensive rather than overtly aggressive. Much of what we do depends on our current mood of the moment.
We’re also very intuitive and can be moved to take action to bring peace or comfort and safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. In fact, we’re fiercely protective. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.
Mars is in Leo from September 27-November 25 and later from February 21-May 14, 2027 [This is longer and in two steps due to the upcoming Mars retrograde cycle from January 10-April 1, 2027.] In Leo, Mars is proud, self-confident, and grand. We are spirited and have grand goals. We go after what we want in a direct, self-assured manner, desiring dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details, and take the least complicated route to our goals. The sex drive is strong, and passion for life is high.
Mars in Leo can awaken a competitive spirit or drive. We’re more willing to take risks to get what we want. We also tend to make a splash, and we want to be in the driver’s seat. This transit is passionate, ardent, and dramatic. We seek to appear strong and prefer to be in the lead or the center of attention. We can be particularly angry if we feel disrespected or in an undignified position.

Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Scorpio from September 10-October 25, and later, from December 4-January 7, 2027 [this is longer than usual and in two steps due to an upcoming retrograde Venus cycle from October 3-November 13]. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is a passionate, sensual, and intense energy.
Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises in order to feel alive and vital. If a relationship becomes too settled or predictable, we may crave more intensity and catalytic experience. Jealousies, fears of betrayal, and power games are the shadow side of Venus in Scorpio.
We may easily become obsessed with a fear that our partners might be betraying us, or that they are not as consumed by and dedicated to the relationship as us. This can lead us to try to uncover the “truth”, reading too many negative possibilities in our partners’ actions and words.
This week: Passions are stirring and intense on Tuesday, and there can be competitiveness in our dynamics. We may be raising questions in love.
On Thursday, we may feel that our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt, and perhaps some indecision. Seeking to fulfill both of these needs without doing so at the expense of the other makes sense, but isn’t straightforward at this time.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Scorpio This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus quincunx Uranus September 20. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, freedom vs. intimacy issues. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships, or whether we need freedom from them; yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
Venus contra-parallel Mars September 29. Passions are stimulated and intense. Fine line between love and hate. Competitiveness. Questions are raised or ultimatums made.
Venus semi-sextile the Sun October 1. We may feel that our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt, and perhaps some indecision. Seeking to fulfill both of these needs without doing so at the expense of the other makes sense, but isn’t straightforward at this time.
Venus contra-parallel Uranus October 1. Questions of freedom, change, specialness, and experimentation are raised in our relationships.
Venus Retrograde conjunct Mercury October 6. Favors playfulness in love and enhanced communication between partners. There can be a tendency to talk about and analyze past relationships or problem areas in our relationships. New light may be shed on an old problem.
Venus Retrograde square Mars October 10. Passions run high under this influence. Sexual tensions and competitiveness are possible, and there can be conflicts that arise from distinct differences between romantic and sexual needs. There is an air of competitiveness under this influence, which need not be difficult. It can be stimulating, creative, passionate, and invigorating.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, September 28th, from 5:51 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mercury), until the Moon enters Taurus at 10:41 AM EDT.
VOC on Tuesday, September 29th, from 7:37 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Gemini the next day, Wednesday, September 30th, at 1:27 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, October 1st, from 10:43 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Cancer the next day, Friday, October 2nd, at 3:55 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, October 3rd, from 11:09 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Saturn), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Sunday, October 4th, at 6:54 PM EDT.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waning this week, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs from Wednesday, the 30th, at approximately 1:30 PM EDT, until Thursday, October 1st, at 10:40 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Gemini.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
![]()
![]()
Mars square Chiron. It can be challenging expressing our desires and our anger clearly and directly under this influence. There can be a tendency to rebel against others’ wishes or plans. We may be defensive and touchy, and resentments or frustrations can surface now.
![]()
![]()
Sun trine Uranus. An original, unique approach to life is in order with this transit, and works to our benefit. Flexibility is the key to success at this time, and pleasant changes are in store. We may make some creative changes and discoveries, experiment with new possibilities, or invent a new way of doing things. This is a dynamic and exciting period, one in which taking advantage of unusual or unconventional opportunities may reap rewards.
![]()
![]()
Mercury opposition Chiron. Misunderstandings in communications that occur now stem from taking things too personally. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. Doubting our ability to make a clear cut decision comes from a feeling that opposing viewpoints hold the same weight, and thus an inability to choose sides. There can be a sense of shooting ourselves in the foot when we present our ideas or opinions, and a feeling of misrepresenting ourselves when we communicate can figure strongly now.
![]()
![]()
Mercury square Mars. Impatience, hastiness, and disagreements characterize this transit. This is an unfavorable time for any kind of meeting, starting a new project, and business proposals. We can be irritable and say all the wrong things. We may be competing for the floor when it comes to expressing our ideas, thoughts, and opinions, making it difficult to engage in healthy dialogue. Mental agitation could dominate. We may stir up controversy with what we say, or how we say it.
![]()
![]()
Mercury quincunx Neptune. There can be uncertainty and indecision now, as it can be difficult to draw upon intuition or to combine logic and intuition in a cohesive manner. Alternatively, the tendency to daydream can be high, and often at the expense of productivity and clear communication.
![]()
![]()
Mercury square Pluto. The tendency to read between the lines with a negative slant is strong during this transit, and can easily stir up trouble. Suspiciousness, making mountains out of molehills, telling others only what we want them to know are possible themes. Mental anxiety or troubles could manifest now. We should try to avoid forcing our ideas on others and strive to maintain an open mind. Compulsive thinking is possible. On the other hand, this influence can suggest the ability to engage in deep, penetrating communication.
![]()
![]()
Mars trine Neptune. We act on our intuition now, sexual fantasies are strong, we strive towards all that is boundless, and our creative impulses are potent. We are less tense and driven, and more relaxed. “What will be, will be” is the attitude now. Inspiration can be found now. This transit favors dancing, swimming, photography, arts, and entertainment.
![]()
![]()
Mars opposition Pluto. Power struggles, “all or nothing” energy, the desire to force one’s agenda meets with opposition and resistance. Do what you can to avoid a contest of wills. The desire to get the upper hand is strong, but it’s unlikely to happen under this influence. It would be wise to observe whatever powerful feelings that confrontations or conflicts arouse under this influence, as this transit has a way of pulling out suppressed matter, or emotional “slush”. Passions run high, and so does sexual energy.

SEPTEMBER 27
Mars enters Leo today, but before it does, it forms a square with Chiron, which can be tricky. Old emotional wounds may feel as if they’re wide open, and there can be tension and pressure experienced, along with some irritability. It can be challenging to express our desires and anger clearly and directly under this influence. We may be defensive and touchy. It’s important to connect with what’s triggering us or bringing us down, which might involve self-reflection.
Mars will transit Leo from today until November 25th. This transit draws out our proud, self-confident, and grand side. During this cycle, we go after what we want directly and self-assuredly, seeking dramatic results. We prefer not to worry about details and look for the most straightforward route to our goals. This cycle encourages our spirited, courageous, and ardent natures, as our passion for life runs high.
SEPTEMBER 28
The Moon continues its transit of Aries until it heads into Taurus at 10:41 AM EDT. While the Taurus Moon is steady and patient, we’re also craving something new as the Sun forms a trine with Uranus. With this transit, we celebrate unique expression, new methods, and personal freedom. It’s a time when we find inspiration in unusual or different places. We can experience sudden wins or advances now. We appreciate people, situations, and things that are a little irregular, unusual, or unconventional. This transit can detach us just enough from a situation to move forward. We might make exciting discoveries, and our willingness to take a few creative risks and experiment may be the key to success. We’re encouraged to embrace the new. An original approach to life is appealing and works to our benefit.
The Moon is void from 5:51 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Mercury), until the Moon enters Taurus at 10:41 AM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 29
Tomorrow, Mercury will move on to Scorpio. Today, Mercury in Libra opposes Chiron and harmonizes with the Moon’s Nodes and Uranus. We might approach technical matters in creative ways, preferring not to follow the crowd with our ideas and communications. We might connect with information or people that/who encourage us to grow, improve, or move forward. However, we may struggle with insecurity, which can make it awkward for us to express ourselves naturally or flowingly later today. Our passions are stirring, and questions are raised, or ultimatums are made in our relationships. Fortunately, staying open to new methods and possibilities can help us learn from our experiences. If something communicated is activating a soft spot, it’s a great time to take notes.
The Moon is void from 7:37 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Gemini tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30th, at 1:27 PM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 30
Mercury enters Scorpio today, and during this cycle, our thoughts and conversations are probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and reach reasonable solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows life isn’t always fair and adjusts accordingly. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all things hidden or undercover. It’s a time to probe, investigate, observe, and focus. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations. Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking tends to be one-track-minded and perhaps obsessive. Mercury usually spends about three weeks in a sign. Still, due to its upcoming retrograde cycle (from October 24th to November 13th), Mercury will spend over two months in Scorpio–it transits Scorpio until December 6th.
The Moon continues its transit of Taurus until 1:27 PM EDT, when it heads into Gemini. The Gemini Moon harmonizes with Mars, Neptune, and Pluto, and aligns with Uranus, creating rich opportunities to express ourselves and interact. We’re interested, adaptable, and curious. It’s a perfect time to explore new topics and tackle a variety of tasks. We’re taking the initiative and pursuing freedom in our thoughts and actions today.
The Moon is void until it enters Gemini today at 1:27 PM EDT.
OCTOBER 1
The Moon spends the day in analytical, connected Gemini. Venus and the Sun form a semi-sextile today, and we may feel our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension, guilt, and perhaps indecision. The goal is to fulfill both needs without doing so at the expense of the other. Today’s Venus-Uranus contra-parallel can serve to raise some questions of freedom, change, specialness, and experimentation in our relationships and even our pastimes, purchases, and pleasures, stimulating some disdain for routine. With a Mercury-Jupiter quintile, however, focusing on intellectual interests and problem-solving can be especially successful. It’s subtle energy but good for rounding out our thinking.
The Moon is void from 10:43 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Cancer tomorrow, Friday, October 2nd, at 3:55 PM EDT.
OCTOBER 2
Mercury forms a square with Mars and, later, Pluto today, as Mars and Pluto move closer to an opposition. Neptune’s also involved with this configuration, forming a quincunx with Mercury and a trine to Mars, offering some constructive channels for working with this tense energy.
We’re looking for–or managing–challenges, and we’re more intense, passionate, and sensitive about our beliefs and methods. It can also be a time to tame obsessiveness and mental fixations. Our communications can be biting and perhaps even destructive as we seek reactions. It’s all too easy to get wound up over matters today and early tomorrow. Discontent with current situations can be pronounced. These transits animate or agitate our communications and thoughts. We should watch for hasty communications and skipping steps. We can find ourselves too quickly in disagreement, likely because we’re communicating ineffectively or impatiently. For example, we may be competing for the floor when expressing our ideas, thoughts, and opinions, making it difficult to engage in healthy dialogue.
We can be determined to get our message across and have others agree with our ideas or beliefs. Positively, these transits can agitate things enough that we’re asking questions. However, they can also stir insecurities and fears that we’re not getting all the information we need or that others don’t respect our views. It’s best to strive for healthy skepticism rather than suspicion or paranoia. Obsessive thinking is possible now, but with self-awareness and mindfulness, we might engage in in-depth, penetrating communication or think more deeply about a matter.
While we’re looking for more meaning in our experiences and we’re ready to believe that we can make things happen, we’re likely to face obstacles that seem to test our dreams, projects, or goals. We could find it challenging to integrate one strong desire with another. Circumstances are such that we need to assess where we’ve been putting too much or too little of our energy. Creative arts, particularly physical ones, may help us blow off steam. All in all, today’s sometimes intense, frustrated energy may lead to a greater understanding if we play our cards right. Note that we’re close to a Venus station as it turns retrograde very early tomorrow, which complicates feelings, delivery, and reception.
The Moon is void until it enters Cancer today at 3:55 PM EDT.
OCTOBER 3
Venus in Scorpio stations and turns retrograde today and will continue in retrograde motion until November 13th. Until October 25th, Venus transits Scorpio and then retreats into Libra on that date for the remainder of the retrograde. This Venus retrograde cycle can bring us back to unresolved matters, particularly those related to relationships, finances, wants and needs, and values. We may want to avoid significant new beginnings or decisions related to Venus-ruled endeavors, such as finances, partnership, romance, and pleasurable pursuits. However, it’s a good time to review, re-evaluate, and reassess our love life, personal finances, and the ways we receive, reveal, and express our affections. Thoughts turn to the past so that we can lay to rest unhealthy habits in these areas of life. In truth, we can get in better touch with our values and needs during this slowdown phase.
This morning, Mars opposes Pluto, and there can be obstacles to clear as we wrestle with our fears, hidden agendas, and ambitions we haven’t yet recognized or owned. It can bring retaliation, confrontations over betrayal, or struggles for control or power. With this transit in play, we should watch for succumbing to unhealthy impulses or wanting to get our way at all costs. Pushiness tends to meet with stubborn resistance now, and there may be a contest of wills. There can be a feeling that external circumstances are undermining our personal power. However, as we deal with these issues, we may get in touch with our internal motivations. Outside forces can remind us to take better charge of our lives, but shortcuts to gaining control will not work as we’d like. This transit can bring a tricky or buried issue to a head. It would be wise to observe whatever powerful feelings that confrontations or conflicts stir under this influence, as a Mars-Pluto opposition has a way of pulling out suppressed matter or emotional “slush.”
The Moon is void from 11:09 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Saturn), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Sunday, October 4th, at 6:54 PM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Aries

We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
![]()
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini

The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Libra Meeting yourself in another person is the keynote of a new cycle which begins for you now. Relationships – romantic, business, social – are the arena where this drama is played out. In coming to know the other person, forging ties that bind two people, you come to a better understanding of yourself. It’s easy in theory, but it’s only in practice that it comes to mean anything real – so practice until you get it right!
Mercury in Libra A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Mars in Cancer Defensive, aren’t we? With this new cycle getting underway, protecting and preserving you and yours takes on a higher than usual priority. A sensitivity to the needs and wants of others and an appreciation for their frailties (as well as your own) makes you more cautious and conservative … you pick your battles with care.
Mars in Leo The thrill of the chase, the smell of the greasepaint, the roar of the crowd: that’s what gets your juices flowing now that you’ve entered a new cycle. To be appreciated, to be admired (adored, even) – that’s what you crave. It’s a time of creativity, drama, and passion; a time when grabbing the spotlight and stealing the scene gives you a thrill. Is winning everything? No – but it’s way ahead of whatever comes in second!
Jupiter in Leo High drama, big romance, a creative bonanza: this is the stuff dreams are made of now. The world is your stage, the spotlight is your goal, and the love and appreciation of others is the air you breathe. Children, lovers, admirers: these are the people who figure large in your life as this cycle progresses. A willingness to gamble on the future.
Saturn in Aries Self-discipline and a sense of self-worth become important issues in your life as a new phase begins for you. A fear of asserting yourself can hold you back – as can coming on too strong. The trick is learning to make the most of your personal talents and abilities, working within your limitations instead of feeling hemmed in by them.
Uranus in Gemini New ideas, new input, and new ways of exchanging these things with others – all these and more become increasingly important factor in your life now, as you enter into a new phase. This is a period of enhanced mental activity, a nonstop stream of consciousness, of trying out new concepts and perspectives.
Neptune in Aries The frontier spirit is alive and well as a new cycle dawns in your life. Independence and originality take on a kind of primal importance for you; you tend to put these qualities on a pedestal, above all else. Fresh starts, new possibilities … these are the visions that light a spark in your soul. But what of the weak, the ones who aren’t free, the ones who get left behind?
Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
