The NEW MOON occurs on Monday, September 2nd, 2024, at 9:55 PM EDT.
On Monday night, the New Moon occurs as the Moon aligns with the Sun in the sign of Virgo.
A time of new beginnings, this New Moon presents an excellent opportunity for us to formulate some goals regarding “all things Virgo.” We’d do well to concentrate on new ways to get our day-to-day life organized. We might think about the keywords for this particular and earthy sign — such things as analytical, intelligent, reserved, critical, helpful, conscientious — and consider ways to enhance, develop, or incorporate these traits into our personalities.
The New Moon Chart:
Please note that Virgo is found somewhere in every person’s chart, and these are the areas of our lives most affected now.
The New Moon in Virgo is an excellent time to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of the Virgin. These include:
- building our powers of healthy, constructive discrimination;
- rolling up our sleeves and getting down to some serious work;
- beginning a new project that requires attention to details;
- making lists, actively ticking off completed activities, and taking pride in our “little” accomplishments;
- starting a health regime, researching nutrition and nourishment, and paying attention to our diet;
- setting up specific routines that will help us manage our lives in constructive and mindful ways;
- and handling the finer details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion so that we can free our minds of clutter.
We’re ready to make something special of our work, routines, or tasks. It’s a powerful time to transform our jobs, health, self-care programs, and habits. We’re filled with innovative, inventive, and unusual ideas. There can be some roadblocks to manage, largely related to responsibilities to others or to our spiritual or mental health, but we’re determined to start fresh.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 11 degrees and 4 minutes of Virgo. This New Moon in Virgo opposes taskmaster Saturn and is widely square Jupiter, and we may find ourselves doing a bit of soul-searching. Tensions and obstacles are likely, as we feel “opposed” or thwarted by others and circumstances in our attempts to assert and actualize ourselves and our plans.
There can be a lot to process now or the illusion of such, and we may feel that with so many factors involved, it’s challenging to decide. We may need to adjust expectations, as we can be see-sawing between seeing too much and too little opportunity. The major challenge is to break free from exaggerated expectations in either direction (positive and negative).
The above chart is excellent for seeing the fundamental influences and chart pattern of this New Moon. The chart below adds more details with additional points. Click to enlarge:
Extra points include Chiron, Eris, and the four major asteroids.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 11 degrees and 4 minutes of Virgo, affecting planets at approximately 7 to 15 degrees of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) the most.

This week: The Sun is in Virgo; Mercury is in Leo; Venus is in Libra; Mars is in Gemini until September 4th, when Mars enters Cancer.
The Sun is in Virgo from August 22-September 22. Our focus shifts to the puzzle pieces–the little details of our lives. It is now time to take care of practical concerns. Attending to the details of everyday life may not sound like loads of fun, but it can certainly free us from unnecessary stress that results from “collecting” odds and ends of unfinished business.
This is an ideal time to get organized, do detailed work, and improve communications on the job. We take more pride in our work, chores, and health efforts. We also want to be more organized and informed during the Sun-in-Virgo cycle.
We’re learning humility and the benefits of developing skills, some level of perfectionism, and the importance of attention to detail. It’s a time of down-to-earth practicality when we prefer to invest our time and energy in things with realistic potential. We’re not inclined to ambition or “going big.” Attracting prosperity involves honest, careful, and attentive work and dedication.
Mercury is in Leo from August 14-September 9. [Mercury was in Leo from July 2-25, entered Virgo, and due to a Mercury retrograde period from August 5th to 28th, 2024, returns to Leo]. When Mercury is in Leo, our thinking is more confident and grand. The focus is now on the goal–and the grander a goal the better! The details may not be quite as important now. We are more expressive, even theatrical and given to speech-giving and story-telling under this influence.
We are also more convincing and persuasive, as we exude confidence when we speak or write. With this transit, we may not listen as well as we normally do since we’re very focused on our own ideas.
We’re also strong about making decisions ourselves and letting our voices and input be heard. This is not a time when we’re content with letting others make all the moves or decisions–we need to be involved. We take the lead, manage, direct, and create while Mercury is in Leo. We need to relate to information or create stories about it to absorb it well. During this cycle, we should watch for being too inflexible, proud, or haughty to change course.
Venus is in Libra from August 29-September 22. We favor charm over assertiveness to get what we want during this cycle. Usually quite willing to negotiate and compromise, we can be very obliging with others. We’re also very idealistic about love, and we seek intellectual peers. Although Venus in Libra is very relationship-focused, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We prefer things are done the “right” way, and aggressive or uncouth behavior turns us off.
The shadow expression of this position includes over-dependence and superficiality. To avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to partners while privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so.
While Venus is in Libra, we are more artistically inclined or seek balance in our personal environment. This cycle is excellent for promoting cooperation, harmony, mutually beneficial connections, and fairness. We are gentle but firm, and we’re skilled at mediation.
We’re more likely to prosper during this cycle in partnership, through one-to-one associations, such as counseling, or in fields related to harmony, relationships, beauty, design, and the law. We’re not fond of out-and-out competition or aggressive pursuit, preferring win-win situations, hands down. We attract things to us and appeal to others gently and kindly. Equality and politeness are important now, and we despise hurting others’ feelings.
Mars is in Gemini from July 20-September 4. In Gemini, Mars is versatile and flexible but not especially determined or focused. We should watch for becoming so scattered that we’re ineffective. However, it’s an excellent period for diversifying our interests and understanding the power of our communications.
It’s an excellent time for strategizing and devising useful tactics to achieve our desires and goals. We’re resourceful and clever, and we know how to use words effectively.
Perhaps most notable during this period is our tactical skills. We know how to maneuver things to get our way. We use words to charm and express anger. We’re very talkative, and animatedly so, when passionate and enthusiastic about a topic.
Mars is in Cancer from September 4-November 3, 2024, and then January 6-April 18, 2025. [Why so long and in two steps? Mars transits the full sign of Cancer from September 4th to November 3rd, when it moves on to Leo, but then turns retrograde in Leo on December 6th, 2024. While retrograde, Mars later returns to Cancer (on January 6th, 2025). Mars ends its retrograde on February 23rd, and later completes its transit of Cancer on April 18th, 2025.] We pursue our interests ardently, but we avoid a direct approach to going after we want while Mars transits Cancer. As well, our goals and plans are subject to mood swings and vacillations. We are defensive rather than overtly aggressive. Much of what we do depends on our current mood of the moment.
We’re also very intuitive and can be moved to take action to bring peace or comfort and safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. In fact, we’re fiercely protective. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.
.
Jupiter is in Gemini.
Jupiter began its transit of Gemini on May 24th, 2024, and continues its transit of the sign until June 9th, 2025. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Gemini.
Saturn transits Pisces from March 7th, 2023 until May 24th, 2025, and Sep 1st, 2025, to Feb 13th, 2026. Read about Saturn’s transit of Pisces. Saturn will enter Aries on May 24th, 2025.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Pluto transitions from Capricorn to Aquarius in 2023 and 2024. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Pluto retrograded back into Capricorn, and was in Capricorn until January 20th, 2024. Pluto is in Aquarius from January 20th to September 1st, when it retreats into Capricorn once again. Note: Pluto is slow-moving through the zodiac signs!
Note that Pluto returns to Capricorn for the final journey through the sign from September 1st to November 19th, 2024, from which time Pluto stays in Aquarius for many years to come.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Libra from August 29-September 22. We favor charm over assertiveness to get what we want during this cycle. Although Venus in Libra is very relationship-focused, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We prefer things are done the “right” way, and aggressive or uncouth behavior turns us off.

We’re not fond of out-and-out competition or aggressive pursuit, preferring win-win situations, hands down. We attract things to us and appeal to others gently and kindly. Equality and politeness are important now, and we despise hurting others’ feelings.
This week: On Tuesday, encounters can feel fated. We are more sensitive to whether or not some relationships (or elements of our relationships) are good for us. It’s best to watch for falling back on behaviors and indulgences that keep us distant from our true feelings and needs.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Venus opposition Neptune August 28. Not a good time to start a new relationship, which could be characterized by disappointments, and the tendency to feel emotionally (and sometimes financially) drained by the partner. Uncertainties about existing love.
Venus trine Pluto August 28-29. Powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions. Relationships are intense and deep, but not draining.
Venus opposition North Node (Venus conjunct South Node) September 3. This is a time for reviewing our attachments in terms of whether they are contributing to our growth.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus September 8. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus quincunx Saturn September 11. A feeling that we may not be able to express our affections, or that our affections will not be received well, can undermine us in our relationships. Fear of rejection, emotional distancing, and over-sensitivity.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, September 1st, from 8:26 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mars), until the Moon enters Virgo at 11:49 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, September 4th, from 12:07 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Libra at 12:13 PM EDT (a very brief void period!).
VOC Moon on Saturday, September 7th, from 1:09 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 1:19 AM EDT.
September 2024:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waning this week until the New Moon on September 2nd, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). From the New Moon forward, the Moon is waxing this week, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, but also with some exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, there are no windows of opportunity this week.
The next window will occur next week on Monday, September 9th, from approximately 9:00 AM to 1:10 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Scorpio.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury trine Chiron. This is an excellent period for opening up communications with others, as we are more sensitive than usual and more willing to listen. Getting our point across is easier, as it’s not only about which words we choose to communicate, we intuitively express the meaning and intention behind the words. We can effectively use words to heal and comfort just now. We are also more open to new ways of looking at problems or at life in general.
Mars square Neptune. Inspiration comes from unusual sources, but you have a hard time staying focused and organized. Energy may be variable. Intuition is strong, but may be faulty. Not a good time to begin a new project or affair.
Mars quincunx Pluto. A strong desire to prove ourselves may be at the root of confrontations and bull-headedness at this time. Avoid forcing issues.
Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto. A tendency to want to control our lives through some form of manipulation is strong during this influence. Meeting with obstacles in our paths, however, can force us into the position of using all of our resources to fight back, and we can discover resources we never knew we had in the process.
Mercury square Uranus. Our senses are stimulated, and we could have sudden flashes of insight or fresh new ideas. However, our ideas are not always received well by others and we can be scatter-brained. It’s a challenge to deal with routine matters or monotonous tasks under this influence. Tasks may be left undone or interrupted. This is not a good time to be understood, so we may want to hold off presenting our ideas for the time being. New information can surface now that upsets the status quo, but can also act to stimulate our minds into new ways of thinking.
Note: Times given in the table/calendar above are Eastern Time (ET).

SEPTEMBER 1
Retrograde Pluto returns to Capricorn today. This is the final transit of the sign before Pluto embarks on a long journey into Aquarius on November 19th. To put this into perspective, Pluto first left Capricorn on March 23rd, 2023, briefly entering Aquarius. However, it later turned retrograde and returned to Capricorn on June 11th, 2023, before finally entering Aquarius again on January 20th, 2024. Now, as Pluto returns to Capricorn for the final stretch, we are presented with a unique opportunity for one last excavation mission in Capricorn, a sign that governs government, authority, big business, corporations, structures, rules, and traditions.
Also today, Uranus stations and turns retrograde, beginning a cycle that will shape our approach to pursuing goals until January 30th, 2025. This cycle prompts a more conservative mindset, turning our desire for change inward. It encourages us to identify the barriers that might hinder our ability to live more spontaneously and authentically. This introspective period is less about rebellion and more about understanding and acceptance. However, as the shift occurs in the surrounding week of the retrograde turn, the Uranian energy becomes more apparent, leading to some tension. It’s important to remember that this tension is temporary and will ease as we adapt to the directional change.
The Moon spends the day in Leo, forming plenty of major aspects and revitalizing our day with courage, connectedness, and positivity. We can feel agitated and perhaps destabilized around this evening’s Moon-Uranus square, which can feel weightier due to the Uranus station. However, on this day before a New Moon, it’s best to wind down rather than wind ourselves up. Late tonight, at 11:49 PM EDT, the Moon moves into particular Virgo.
The Moon is void from 8:26 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Mars), until the Moon enters Virgo at 11:49 PM EDT.
SEPTEMBER 2
Mercury’s trine to Chiron and biquintile with Neptune feel uplifting. We’re coming out of the fog, seeing matters more clearly and even wholly. We are more idealistic, spiritually aware, compassionate, and sensitive. Tonight, a New Moon occurs in the sign of Virgo with the Sun and Moon coming together at 9:56 PM EDT. A time of new beginnings, this New Moon presents an excellent opportunity for us to formulate goals regarding “all things Virgo.” We’d do well to concentrate on new ways to get our day-to-day life organized. We might commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign, such as building our powers of healthy, constructive discrimination or beginning a new project that requires attention to detail. We might set up specific routines to help us manage our lives in productive and mindful ways. Freeing our minds of clutter can be an important goal. Striving to improve can be a wonderful challenge as long as we don’t allow ourselves to become overly focused on flaws to the point that we feel guilty or stressed. There can be some roadblocks to manage, largely related to responsibilities to others or to our spiritual or mental health, but we’re determined to start fresh. The major challenge is to break free from exaggerated expectations in either direction (positive and negative).
Mars forms a square to Neptune very early tomorrow, influencing today, and we may struggle to focus on our priorities. Energy may be up and down, particularly if inspiration wavers. Motivation or energy levels may wane as we feel overwhelmed with possibilities and uncertain about our next step. Desires are hard to pin down. On the other hand, inspiration can come from unusual sources. There can be a change of course or a break from the action. We should watch for difficulties with boundaries and limits. Attempts to take the easy way out will probably backfire under this influence. However, we can find the motivation to make improvements from disappointment.
SEPTEMBER 3
Venus forms a parallel with Neptune and aligns with the South Node of the Moon. We might question whether some relationships (or elements of our relationships) are good for us. It’s possible we’re enabling others or succumbing to indulgences ourselves. We may be temperamental when it comes to our feelings and affections. It can be all too easy to fall back on behaviors and indulgences that keep us distant from our true feelings and needs. However, we’re forgiving and tolerant. The Moon spends the day in Virgo. On this day after a New Moon, we can be reorienting our thinking, preparing for a new approach or pursuit. This Moon is particular, intelligent, and helpful, and it encourages our desire to learn, hone skills, excel at our work, pay special attention to health, and assist others.
SEPTEMBER 4
The Moon continues in conscientious Virgo until 12:13 PM EDT when it heads into balanced Libra. Mars forms a quincunx to Pluto today just before it leaves the sign of Gemini and enters Cancer. Pluto has just moved back into Capricorn and is transiting the very last degree of the sign, bringing intense energy and much potential for transformation. This transit can stir some edginess and tension. Feelings of anger or competitiveness can be challenging to manage, process, integrate, or understand, especially since they may be displaced or unresolved as they’ve built from other times. It’s best to avoid forcing issues.
Mars begins its transit of Cancer today, where it will visit until November 3rd. Due to an upcoming retrograde cycle, Mars will revisit Cancer soon: from January 6-April 18, 2025. We are cautious and conservative under this influence, but we will fight for, about, or on behalf of those people and things that are dearest to our hearts. Much of what we do depends on our current mood, although we are strong and patient during this cycle. We’re also very intuitive, and this intuition can move us to take action to bring peace, comfort, or safety to our lives during this period. We go to bat for our loved ones. It’s a powerful period for putting ego matters aside so that we can push our plans forward. Inner satisfaction and love are generally more important to us than outer achievements at this time. Personal and domestic goals are our priority during this phase.
The Moon is void from 12:07 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Libra at 12:13 PM EDT (a very brief void period!).
SEPTEMBER 5
The Moon spends the day in the compromising and unifying sign of Libra. Harmony is a goal with this Moon transit, and the lack of it can be emotionally unsettling. As a result, we tend to negotiate more and accommodate, especially early today, when the Moon aligns with Venus, the planetary ruler of Libra. Diplomacy and mediation are in focus and successful. With Venus approaching a conjunction with Juno, exact very early tomorrow, we’re seeking equal, fair, and balanced connections. There can be a stronger inclination towards togetherness and sharing, creating harmony, and sharing power. We may gain an advantage in business or finances or by promoting peace.
SEPTEMBER 6
The Moon spends the day in Libra, and we aim to find the middle ground, compromise, and make peace. While it’s a lighthearted transit, the Sun’s sesquiquadrate with Pluto today can stimulate or aggravate fears and feelings of being powerless or overlooked. Buried emotions and motives can surface now. A tendency to want to control our lives through some form of manipulation is persistent with this aspect in play. As well, we’re heading toward a Mercury-Uranus square, which can stir our senses but also mental pressure. We could have sudden flashes of insight or fresh new ideas. It can be difficult to organize our thoughts or deal with routine matters under this influence. Tasks may be left undone or interrupted. This is not a good time to be understood, so we may want to hold off on presenting our ideas for the time being. New information can surface now that upsets the status quo, but it can also stimulate our minds to adopt new ways of thinking. Patience in communication is key to navigating potential misunderstandings and conflicts.
SEPTEMBER 7
The Moon moves into Scorpio early today, at 1:19 AM EDT, and harmonizes with Mars, newly in Cancer, connecting us more closely to our instincts. It’s a good time for activities that engage our emotions. This transit stirs our passions in pleasant ways. Today’s Pluto-Pallas sextile is helpful for strategy and insight. We are wise and willing to invest our energy into solving problems. Our natural talents, as well as acquired resources, are highlighted and positive. It’s a good time for healing and regenerative activities, mainly related to the mind/thinking.
Still, the Sun and Saturn are heading toward their yearly opposition, which is exact very early tomorrow. As the day advances, we can experience a reality check related to our work, responsibilities, or the rules in general. Feelings of doubt, pessimism, or guilt may undermine our confidence until we make corrections. Feeling blocked, encountering obstacles to progress, and inhibitions are all possible under this influence. While there can be a letdown, our efforts to measure up to expectations can ultimately increase confidence in our ability to be responsible for ourselves. Focusing too much on our feelings may not be very productive right now. This is a time for reevaluating goals, considering the limits of time and energy. It can be a good time to develop real solutions to long-term problems and recognize the meaning behind recent restrictions or limitations. We might acknowledge the need to adopt a humbler, more mature, and possibly more conservative approach. We might also need to catch up on neglected duties or responsibilities.
The Moon is void from 1:09 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 1:19 AM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.

Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Virgo You’re coming into a new cycle centered on taking what you know and what you’ve got and then making the most of it in the real world. Assimilating information and experience, learning lessons and putting them into practice – that’s the focus as this cycle unfolds. It’s a time for prudence and stewardship, a time to tend to the details. You probably already have the grand ideals and visions: now you must get your hands dirty with the bricks and mortar and your mind busy with putting it all together.
Mercury in Leo The hallmark of the cycle you have just begun is thinking, learning and communicating with style. Intellectual creativity is highlighted, and your social connections have a certain flair of drama to them. Winning the admiration of others for the things you say or write (and the way you do it) takes on more importance in your life.
Mars in Gemini Learning, communicating, the exchange of ideas: these are the experiences you crave as a means to make your mark now, as a new phase begins in your life. You’re a person with something to say, and you realize that others have information that is essential to your goals. A time of much mental energy and initiative … perhaps with an element of conflict tossed in for good measure.
Mars in Cancer Defensive, aren’t we? With this new cycle getting underway, protecting and preserving you and yours takes on a higher than usual priority. A sensitivity to the needs and wants of others and an appreciation for their frailties (as well as your own) makes you more cautious and conservative … you pick your battles with care.
Jupiter in Gemini Facilitating the transfer of ideas and information takes on a special priority for you now. Writing, studying, and communicating play a bigger role in your life as a result. The belief that well-informed people will make the right decisions becomes an article of faith. Just remember: sometimes people know the right thing to do and STILL do something different!
Saturn in Pisces Making peace with the past, coming to terms with karmic debts: these are some of the issues that confront you as a new phase begins in your life. Failure to face these things can cause setbacks and put obstacles in your path. Learn to look beyond the narrowly personal and selfish or you’ll get in over your head.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small, but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
