The FULL MOON occurs on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, at 12:54 PM EST.
On Thursday, a Full Moon in Leo occurs. The Moon is full when the Aquarius Sun opposes the Moon in Leo at 12:54 PM EST.
The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Leo-Aquarius polarity deals with the balance between all that is personal (Leo) and all that is impersonal (Aquarius). The energy of the Leo Moon is creative self-expression and the boost to the individual ego that we receive through pleasure and romance, while the Aquarius Sun rules the group, more impersonal friendships, and objectivity. This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between romance and friendship, and between expressing ourselves in personal and impersonal ways.
The Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Sun, while individualistic as well, values independence and the “team.” The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our own lives. However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves, and to let things out of our systems.
Over the coming weeks, we will discover what this means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them. Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is not particularly rational as yet.
This Full Moon forms a square to Jupiter, and we should watch for exaggeration or overshooting associated with our revelations.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 5 degrees and 15 minutes of Leo opposite the Sun at the same degree of Aquarius, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 1 to 9 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
The same Full Moon in Leo chart with additional points:
This second chart wheel, while it’s the chart of the same astrological event, includes additional points, such as Sedna, Chiron, and the four major asteroids.

This week: The Sun is in Aquarius; Mercury is in Capricorn; Venus is in Sagittarius to the 23rd, when Venus is in Capricorn; Mars is in Capricorn.
The Sun is in Aquarius from January 20-February 18. During this cycle, we are motivated by our hunger for knowledge, experience, and originality. Innovation is more important to us than convention. We become more aware of what is outdated in our lives, and strive to find new perspectives and new ways to do things. The class distinctions, structure, and order that Capricorn finds appealing now seem to be too rigid. The freedom of the individual becomes far more significant to us. We strive to free ourselves from some of the restrictions, inhibitions, and limitations that now feel constraining rather than safe.
We recognize those things that are obsolete or outdated, and we’re ready to change the world with new ideas and methods. We might often let our heads rule over our hearts during this cycle, preferring an objective, impersonal, and rational approach to life.
Mercury is in Capricorn from January 13-February 5. [Mercury was in Capricorn recently–from December 1-23, 2023, but retreated into Sagittarius due to Mercury’s retrograde motion.] When Mercury is in Capricorn, our thinking is methodical and our focus is sober and practical. It is easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles become more logical, orderly, and organized.
We are more able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes important to us. Our survival instincts are strong–we’re interested in what will benefit us in the long term.
We’re not interested in the fluff, preferring to get right to a point or the bottom line. Communication can be somewhat guarded or cautious, and similarly not very floral or expressive. We gravitate to concrete subjects and information that’s logical, useful, and well-organized. We may prefer a methodical approach to studying. Our fantasies may be well-considered and possible, with realistic overtones.
We need to be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking. We may come across as cold or harsh. For some, there is a fine line between realism and pessimism. At times, we might lack humor, or we’re inclined toward sarcasm when joking. We can be quite stubborn with our ideas and methods.
We can use this period to make solid, realistic plans and get organized. It’s a favorable time to advise, teach, or guide. Generally, we’re more concerned than usual with our reputation or responsibilities. Our dependability can reap rewards. We love to plan ahead and map out our next steps. Changes of schedule can be most disconcerting during this cycle.
Our reactions are sensible, cool, and level-headed while Mercury is in Capricorn.
Venus is in Sagittarius from December 29-January 23. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy shifts from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind.
Romantic adventures and a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are the priorities with Venus in Sagittarius.
We’re idealistic in our relationships during this cycle. It’s more critical than usual that our partners and companions support our dreams, goals, freedom needs, beliefs, and vision. We value intellectual rapport more than usual during this period.
Openness with our feelings can sometimes backfire, but for the most part, it can be refreshing. We tend to more spontaneously enjoy ourselves or throw ourselves into pleasure, art, cultural interests, and special interest topics at this time. We can especially enjoy travel, learning, the outdoors, or animals.
With money, we can be a little reckless or careless, but also faithful and optimistic. Some element of luck or good karma can be involved with our finances. Benefits, whether material or spiritual, can come through publishing, foreign or religious connections, travel, education, or legal matters.
Venus is in Capricorn from January 23-February 16. Getting serious about our finances and boosting our relations with business partners and/or co-workers will be easier than usual under this influence. Our talents for creating artistic structure and form are enhanced, and our ability to form connections with people who support our ambitions increases.
We value enduring connections, reliability, and faithfulness. We take expressing our feelings seriously, and we take our time to warm up to others. We generally keep our “cool” in relationships. We’re steadfast and seek genuine, perhaps old-fashioned connections. It’s not a time for PDA, and we can be somewhat guarded and reserved with expressing our feelings or revealing our relationships.
The underdog who works hard can have their time in the sun now. We value slow and steady effort and long-term prospects. Reliability in others is most attractive.
This cycle favors getting along well with higher-ups, conservative business goals and ventures, long-term investments, and matters related to pension.
Mars is in Capricorn from January 4-February 13. Mars in Capricorn is deliberate, persistent energy. We consider the future and the consequences before taking action during this cycle. Our energy is reliable, careful, reserved, and faithful. We are slow to anger but can be quite cold and irritable if frustrated.
Skepticism and realism are themes. We are thorough and precise. Orderliness, discipline, self-reliance, and planning well can be in focus. We dislike waste, sloppiness, and excess. Our ambitions are clear, and our actions are measured and careful. We need to feel that we’re in control and on top of things. The shadow side of Mars in Capricorn is rigidity, negativity, or dryness.
Jupiter is in Taurus.
Jupiter begins its transit of Taurus on May 16th, 2023, and it will continue its transit of the sign until May 25th, 2024. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Taurus.
Saturn transits Pisces from March 7th, 2023 until May 24th, 2025, and Sep 1st, 2025, to Feb 13th, 2026. Read about Saturn’s transit of Pisces.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Pluto transitions from Capricorn to Aquarius in 2023 and 2024. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Pluto retrograded back into Capricorn, and was in Capricorn until January 20th, 2024. Pluto is in Aquarius from January 20th to September 1st, when it will retreat into Capricorn once again. Note: Pluto is slow-moving!
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Sagittarius from December 29-January 23. As Venus moves from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy changes from intense to buoyant. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of the Venus-in-Scorpio phase. Truth and higher meaning are focal points for Sagittarius.
Venus in Sagittarius is forward-looking, not very specific, outgoing, and energetic. Freedom is most important in our love relationships now. We take a happy and enthusiastic approach to love, and we might find too much intensity or seriousness depressing. We have a taste for the exotic as well as for adventure with Venus in Sagittarius.
This position’s shadow side is restlessness, the inability to “settle down,” and endless searching for something bigger and “better.”
Venus is in Capricorn from January 23-February 16. Venus in Capricorn is a cycle in which security and stability in our relationships are paramount. We are more cautious with our emotions and somewhat skeptical of both our own feelings and others’ expressions of affection. Longevity is important to us under this influence.
There is a formality to Capricorn that can make personal expressions seem awkward and forced. However, this cycle offers us the opportunity to consider some of the practical issues of our relations and to work on making our partnerships work in the real world. A dose of realism in our personal lives can help us to feel more grounded and secure in the long run.
This week: On Friday, we can be a bit flighty with one another, unsure whether we want to be close to someone or free from ties temporarily. However, on Saturday, it’s a great time to show our love through our actions, commitment, and reliability or loyalty.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Venus in Capricorn Marry for money and then learn to love ’em: that’s what your heart tells you now, as a new cycle gets underway in your life. Does that sound cynical? Maybe so – but it does reflect the yearning you feel for security and stability now, and it suggests the kind of compromises you may be willing to make to accomplish these objectives.
Venus square Neptune January 18-19. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit–a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus January 26. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus sextile Saturn January 27-28. Relationships are stabilized and steady, although feelings are expressed reservedly, formally, or sparingly. A new sense of realism in existing partnerships. Relationships begun under this influence possess a distinctly practical theme, almost as if the partnership is a business endeavor.
Venus trine Jupiter January 28. Harmony and good will reign under this influence. Expansive feelings in love, and a feeling that anything is possible if we set our sights high enough, are experienced now. We are friendly, big-hearted, sociable, and optimistic. It is easy to make social contacts under this influence. Cheerfulness, trust, and confidence in love and social matters.
Venus parallel Mercury January 31-February 1. A congenial time when we appreciate diplomacy and socialize more readily.
Venus square Chiron February 4-5. Not a commitment-friendly transit. We are somewhat fearful of investing ourselves emotionally in a relationship.
Venus semi-sextile the Sun February 4-5. We may feel that our quest for pleasure, affection, love, or comfort is at odds with what we think we should be doing, which can lead to mild tension or feelings of guilt, and perhaps some indecision. Seeking to fulfill both of these needs without doing so at the expense of the other makes sense, but isn’t straightforward at this time.
Venus square Moon’s North Node February 5-6. Social niceties go by the wayside, and we may be working at cross-purposes with our relationships or relationship goals. There can be a lack of agreement, dissatisfaction stirred up, and a sense that our relationships are preventing our growth.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Monday, January 22nd, from 3:41 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Venus), until the Moon enters Cancer at 4:52 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, January 24th, from 5:59 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Neptune), until the Moon enters Leo the next day, Thursday, January 25th, at 2:37 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, January 26th, from 4:20 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Uranus), until the Moon enters Virgo the next day, Saturday, January 27th, at 2:11 PM EST.
January 2024:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week until the Full Moon on the 25th, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). The Moon is waning after the Full Moon on the 25th, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, also with some exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, no clear windows of opportunity occur this week. The next window will occur next week on February 3rd from approximately 6:00 AM to 10:20 PM EST.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mars square Chiron. It can be challenging expressing our desires and our anger clearly and directly under this influence. There can be a tendency to rebel against others’ wishes or plans. We may be defensive and touchy, and resentments or frustrations can surface now.
Mercury square Chiron. Communications may be strained, and possibly hurtful or perceived as such. Misunderstandings are more likely now. Decisions may also be hard to come by, as we tend to doubt ourselves or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus. Unusual attractions (to people and things) can have us acting on a whim. We may deal with freedom versus closeness issues in our relationships. Relationships or finances can be unpredictable. Changes now can create fresh opportunities, however, that can add to our sense of joy and freedom.
Sun square Jupiter. We may feel vague restlessness and discontent with life as it is. We want more, but perhaps too much. Overestimation and exaggeration. Elevated moods, but unstable ones, as they may not be based on reality. Channeled well, this energy can represent creative power.
Mercury conjunct Mars. This is a good energy for debate or energetic mental work. We may be called upon to make a decision, but it may be a hasty, ill-considered one. We may be argumentative and irritable under this influence, and particularly impatient with vagueness. Be careful to avoid cutting words and aggressive driving. Our minds may be especially clear and active, and this can be a good time to eliminate wasteful activities. This influence excites and over-stimulates the whole nervous system.

JANUARY 21
With Mercury and Pluto parallel early today, we’re ready to get to the bottom of a matter. We might watch for pushing an issue too far now. However, today’s Gemini Moon, lasting until tomorrow afternoon, encourages us to diversify, put our feelers out, and pick up new ideas or tips. We’re more interactive and versatile with this Moon, although we can also be jumpy or inconsistent. We seek variety or mental engagement, and we’re communicative, connected, and curious. It’s a great time to play with ideas and make plans. The Moon’s harmony with Chiron and the Moon’s North Node suggests we’re connecting with a sense of purpose.
JANUARY 22
The Moon in Gemini until 4:52 PM EST stirs our curiosity and inclines us to connect and share. While this is a mental influence, there are rather ethereal transits in play. We can draw upon our inner wisdom or sixth sense and intuition to understand what’s happening around us today, and previously hidden or unacknowledged talents may emerge. Today’s Mars-Neptune creative aspect is brilliant for creative moves. While we’re unlikely to face them head-on, we can see the way around problems. We may be acting on dreams or ideals or putting our egos aside to take action for an important cause. The Moon moves into Cancer at 4:52 PM, and we favor comfort over satisfying our curiosity. This transit encourages us to center ourselves and let go of overthinking.
The Moon is void from 3:41 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Venus), until the Moon enters Cancer at 4:52 PM EST.
JANUARY 23
Venus enters Capricorn today, where it will visit until February 16th. Getting serious about our finances and boosting our relations with business partners and/or co-workers will be easier than usual under this influence. Our talents for creating artistic structure and form are enhanced, and our ability to form connections with people who support our ambitions increases. Enduring connections, reliability, and faithfulness are most appealing during this cycle. We take expressing our feelings seriously, and we take our time to warm up to others. We generally keep our “cool” in relationships. It’s not a time for PDA, and we can be somewhat guarded and reserved when expressing our feelings or revealing our relationships. We’re steadfast and seek genuine, perhaps old-fashioned connections. The underdog who works hard can have their time in the sun now. Reliability in others is most attractive. We value slow and steady effort and long-term prospects. This cycle favors getting along well with higher-ups, conservative business goals and ventures, long-term investments, and matters related to pensions.
The Moon spends the day in gentle, protective Cancer. The Moon opposes Mercury and Mars, however, and there can be a disconnect between our emotions and intellect or desires. Minor disagreements, especially about sensitivity to feelings, are more likely now. There can be a battle between our need to go within and our desire to get things done.
JANUARY 24
The Moon continues its transit of Cancer all day, and we’re primarily concerned with our feelings and attachments. This Moon encourages us to center ourselves and let go of overthinking. Home, family, and familiar settings or situations appeal more than usual now, but with the Moon’s sextile to Uranus this morning, we’re open to new methods or ways of getting comfortable. It’s a good time for activities that engage our emotions. We quickly discover ways to harmonize and express our needs for nurture. This Moon transit can stir a need to connect with our roots. Mercury forms a creative quintile to Neptune, and we are more idealistic, spiritually aware, and sensitive.
The Moon is void from 5:59 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Neptune), until the Moon enters Leo tomorrow, Thursday, January 25th, at 2:37 AM EST.
JANUARY 25
The Full Moon occurs in the sign of Leo at 12:55 PM EST today, marking a culmination and the promise of fulfillment. It’s an emotional time of romance, fertilization, and epiphanies. The Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual and not particularly content with being just one of the team. The Aquarius Sun, while also individualistic, values the team. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict. Symbolic illumination occurs in our lives with the Moon full and bright in the sky. These revelations are emotional ones and can feel raw just for now. Something is exposed or illuminated, prompting us to get in touch with what we may have been neglecting or putting off in our personal lives. This Full Moon forms a square to Jupiter, and we should watch for exaggeration or overshooting associated with our revelations.
Mars forms a square to Chiron today, and old emotional wounds may feel as if they’re wide open. There can be tension and pressure experienced now, as well as some irritability. It can be challenging to express our desires and anger clearly and directly. There can also be a tendency to rebel against others’ wishes or plans. With this aspect in play, we may be defensive and touchy. Ideally, we connect with what’s cramping our style and bringing us down.
The Moon is void until it enters Leo today at 2:37 AM EST.
JANUARY 26
A Sun-Saturn semi-sextile influence early today has a rather weighty effect, as we can find it a little difficult to fully enjoy ourselves without feeling we may be neglecting a responsibility. Further, Mercury forms a square to Chiron this morning, which can point to strained, unnatural communications. We can be more sensitive to criticism. We may doubt ourselves when solving problems, learning, or expressing ourselves. Ideally, a temporary dip will boost our motivation to improve. A Venus-Uranus sesquiquadrate is also in play today, and we can feel discontent with our current pleasures or pastimes. It’s best to tame restlessness or avoid abrupt moves but consider our needs for change and growth.
As the day advances, we head toward a Sun-Jupiter square, which is exact very early tomorrow, and we can find ourselves eager to expand. While our ideas are big, we’re reminded of the limits of our capabilities and must adjust accordingly. There is an inclination to extravagance and overreaching. While the Sun’s square to Jupiter can stir much optimism and elevated moods, our state of mind is fragile as things are overblown or unrealistic. We can feel discontent, leading us to seek more meaning, growth, or change. We should watch for trying to reach too far on this quest, overestimating our energy levels or the time we might invest in a commitment. It’s best to remind ourselves that going bigger isn’t always in our best interests.
The Moon is void from 4:20 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Uranus), until the Moon enters Virgo tomorrow, Saturday, January 27th, at 2:11 PM EST.
JANUARY 27
Uranus stations and turns direct early today. Uranus has been retrograde since September 1st, and with its station, Uranian energy hangs heavy in the air this week. As the planet gains speed in the next few weeks, our urge to express our unique selves, take some chances or risks, rebel, listen to our instincts, and stir up change are reawakened or externalized.
Mercury aligns with Mars in the sign of Capricorn this morning, and both bodies form squares to the North Node of the Moon tonight and early tomorrow. We can be very interested in producing ideas and fixing problems! The Mercury-Mars conjunction is a good influence for motivated, energetic work related to communications and the mind. Since it occurs in the sign of Capricorn, practical goals may be the subject. Mercury-Mars excites and over-stimulates our nerves. We want to get to the point so that communications can be insensitive. Keeping busy and making headway satisfies us more than usual, and it’s best to channel excess mental energy constructively. Tensions are possible, particularly as we can be over-excited about an idea or resist considering others’ input. Later today, the tendency is to overthink, overexplain, or overanalyze, which can be a form of procrastination or emotional avoidance. Possible blocks to our progress might also involve excess ego and/or impatience. Temporarily, our desires can work at cross purposes with what we’re striving to be, making decisions choppy. Impulsive or competitive communications and actions can hinder growth, improvement, and direction. We could also be juggling too many tasks to our detriment.
The Moon moves into detail-oriented, conscientious Virgo at 2:11 PM EST, and we’re zeroing in on problem areas. We also approach a Venus-Saturn sextile, exact early tomorrow, that encourages a considered, practical approach, particularly in our social lives. It’s a grounding influence that helps stabilize our affections. We place a higher value on security, steadiness, and loyalty. This transit boosts the appeal of the ordinary and reliable–we appreciate longstanding alliances or tried-and-true pleasures. We are more responsible with others and with our own feelings and affections. Our judgment is sound, and we’re a little more conservative with money under this influence. We can enjoy planning and organizing.
The Moon is void until it enters Virgo today at 2:11 PM EST.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Aquarius This is a time when your path of self-development and expression becomes more and more unusual – setting you apart from the crowd and from all that is traditional. The new, the futuristic, the high-tech are the hallmarks of your lifestyle as the cycle gets underway. Ideas and technologies that change the way people live – not just one person, but many – are a major new focus in your life. Involvement with ideals and idealistic groups enhances your sense of purpose and mission.
Mercury in Capricorn Figuring out how to organize projects and people is apt to become a topic of special interest – and a challenge – at a time like this. Opinions are not enough for you now: they must be backed by authority or evidence, and above all they must have practical worth and application. A period of intense study and thought.
Mars in Capricorn With this new cycle taking hold in your life now, taking charge and being in control become more important issues for you. You want to get things organized, and you have the initiative to do it. This is a time of ambition and responsibility, a time to keep your cool and pace yourself. Working hard is smart, but working smart is better.
Jupiter in Taurus A kind of Midas touch is signaled by the new cycle now dawning in your life. Prosperity and security take center stage in your thoughts; a gentle but committed conservatism brings you all kinds of good things. Take care of the material things, and the spiritual will take care of itself: that’s your orientation now.
Saturn in Pisces Making peace with the past, coming to terms with karmic debts: these are some of the issues that confront you as a new phase begins in your life. Failure to face these things can cause setbacks and put obstacles in your path. Learn to look beyond the narrowly personal and selfish or you’ll get in over your head.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
