Void of Course Dates this Month
The New Moon last month on August 18th energized the sign of Leo and influences us in the first weeks of September. We’re recognizing and sharing those things that make us special—our unique, creative powers. We might aim to allow our “inner child” to come out and play, and possibly commit to plans related to games, sports, recreation, speculation, hobbies, children, romance, and dating.
On September 2nd, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Pisces, reminding us of the need to consider our spiritual and emotional wellness. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the Virgo-Pisces axis will surely backfire—we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.
Mars turns retrograde on the 9th and will remain retrograde until November 13th, entirely in the sign of Aries. We are now in the position to re-assess our current projects, our approach to getting what we want, and our desire nature. Mars energy is essentially turned inward–it’s internalized, intensified, personalized, and perhaps pressurized. There can be passive-aggressive behavior during this cycle. We may be instigating problems or arguments rather than dealing with issues directly. However, this can be a good time to learn more about our inner motivations and desires, as well as to reconsider old projects and interests. See the full discussion of this Mars retrograde in Aries.
Jupiter turns direct on the 12th. This change of direction can mark a turning of the corner with certain projects and relationships as well as attitudes–we enjoy increased enthusiasm. With Jupiter direct, our confidence in ourselves, our beliefs, and the universe builds. We are more lighthearted and ready to share ourselves and what we’ve learned with others.
The New Moon on the 17th occurs in the sign of Virgo. The New Moon promises us opportunities to take charge of our lives through organizing, editing, and refining work as well as better attention to health. This is a fertile and productive time. We might take charge of our daily routines, work, or pursuit of health.
Saturn forms a quintile with Chiron on the 25th. This aspect first formed in December 2019, and recurred on August 12th. We feel more competent, effective, and secure regarding our responsibilities during this period. We have a strong sense of both tradition and innovation, and we’re good at making this work for us. We are also more able to express our unique qualities or to go our own way without stirring up controversy, as we act in a professional, respectful manner.
Saturn turns direct on the 29th — a strong reminder to take care of our responsibilities and to bring our goals down to earth. With Saturn’s direct turn, our responsibilities, and perhaps our limitations, are magnified. Gradually, our long-term goals and plans become clearer.
