This Month in Astrology – April 2026

On April 1st, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Libra, bringing sudden awareness to our lives, particularly of areas that require more balance. Improving or enhancing our relationships can be a new focus arising from our epiphanies now. Something is exposed or illuminated, prompting us to get in touch with those things that we may have been neglecting or putting off, especially regarding our partnerships. Relationship imbalances and flaws are more noticeable and perhaps even glaring now. We can feel quite inspired to make improvements, coming up with excellent strategies for doing so now.

On April 17th, the New Moon in Aries prompts a new beginning–we’re starting fresh. We awaken to the need to act on our initiative. This lunation brings a “fresh start” to our lives, and challenges us to show a pure part of ourselves to the world. By acting on our own inner impulses (constructive ones!) without fear, and by abandoning the need to refine them based on what others might want us to do or what they think we “should” do, we learn more about ourselves. If we learn to depend on ourselves, we exude an all-new aura of strength, born of personal integrity and confidence, as well as a pure, innocent charm.

This New Moon occurs when all major planets are direct, suggesting few obstacles. However, Mars, the ruler of Aries is applying to a conjunction to Saturn, and while we’re ready to work hard and pace ourselves, we can be combatting some fear of not being number one.

On April 25th, Uranus enters Gemini, this time visiting for the long haul. Uranus first entered Gemini in July 2025, but then returned to Taurus in November to finish up its transit. Uranus restarts in Gemini today. Uranus will be in Gemini from April 25, 2026, to August 3, 2032, and then from December 12, 2032, to May 22, 2033, spending about 7-8 years in a sign. The range for Gemini is 2025 to 2033 with some transition periods between Taurus and Gemini and then Gemini and Cancer.

Uranus in Gemini stirs up our ideas, learning, and communications. This long-term influence revolutionizes our transportation and communication systems and sense of connectedness. There can be great progress and unpredictability during this transit. Labor-saving devices and revolutionizing what and how we read, exchange and disseminate information, trade, transit, transport goods, surveil, track, and learn can continue to develop, surprise, disrupt, and advance.
