A Full Moon occurs when the Sun opposes the Moon, and in this case, when the Sun in Pisces forms an opposition to the Moon in Virgo. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. Certainly, it can be an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

This phase of the Moon occurs at 12 degrees and 54 minutes of Virgo opposite the Sun at 12 degrees and 54 minutes of Pisces.

It’s the fifth eclipse in a set of seven occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis from September 17th, 2024, to February 20th, 2027. The first one was a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. While we’ve been focusing on building our faith, this March eclipse in Virgo prompts us to consider getting organized and how it affects the work-rest balance.

This eclipse serves as a prompt, nudge, or push to make improvements in Virgo- and Pisces-ruled areas of life in our charts, and feelings of discontent can magnify. It’s a time to resolve matters, strike a balance, take a lesson, and move on, but take some time with this–eclipses can temporarily hide a part of our lives for us to focus on another. Ultimately, we should be striving for a balance.

Virgo rules the tools and techniques we use to deal with day-to-day life, while Pisces rules the tools we use to deal with our spiritual selves. The key to balance lies in identifying and expressing our spiritual needs while maintaining order in our everyday lives. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire–we would either be living in chaos or excessive order.

The contrast between precise, logical, work-centered, factual Virgo and spiritual, compassionate, holistic Pisces comes into full bloom. The energy of the Virgo Moon is the awareness of the need for more precision, attention to detail, and responsibility. The Pisces Sun, on the other hand, is visionary–focused on what’s universal and hard to define.

This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. This Lunar Eclipse can have a way of bringing dysfunctional areas of our lives to our attention. Emotions and realizations feel big. Plans can blossom.

Through events, circumstances, and epiphanies after the time of this eclipse, we learn that we need to get in touch with our needs for a stronger connection with our routines, work, and physical health needs. To feel fulfilled, we need to acknowledge and embrace our need for our daily routines to serve us well.

We become aware of where we have been overdoing our focus on replenishment where it’s come at the expense of living an organized life.

Full Moons are always helpful for magnifying pre-existing problems so that we can see where to bring back balance. Our larger work should focus on reaching a good balance. Enlightenment in the weeks following the lunation provides us with a golden opportunity to explore our emotional needs, ultimately leading to positive actions and decisions.

This eclipse gets a nice boost from Jupiter in Cancer–our domestic goals harmonize with our eclipse mission. Family can be supportive. We’re hopeful and optimistic, which helps our cause.

A Mercury-Pluto semi-square this morning can find us mildly skeptical. This influence can provoke tension, mental distress, and worry. We might obsess over an issue that we can’t control.

This minor challenge adds an edge to our thinking and communication. We could feel pressured or troubled, and we might take detective work a little too far.

But while we can be somewhat mistrustful under this influence, if we harness the energy and use it for good, we can develop strategies to get to the bottom of a matter. With Mercury retrograde, it’s important to consider that we’re likely to see more to the story later.

Venus forms a sextile to Uranus, however, and it encourages us to let go so we can move on. The year 2026’s first retrograde Mercury cycle took place solely in the sign of Pisces and ends now.

Mercury’s post-retrograde shadow (from March 20th to April 9th, 2026) is generally better for new long-term endeavors than the pre-retrogrades shadow. For new enterprises in the pre-retrograde shadow, the venture’s secondary progressed Mercury will turn direction (retrograde) in the coming years, which may not be ideal.

As the planet of communication, Mercury retrograde tends to breed a certain level of confusion. Mercury rules our “lower” mind–how we perceive and interpret information that we receive from our environment, and how we relay that information to others. Mercury has rulership over such things as speaking, negotiating, buying and selling, listening, formal contracts, documents, travel, the mail and shipping, and so forth. All of these areas of life are affected when Mercury is functioning in a sluggish state. Decision-making is challenged during Mercury retrograde.

Needless to say, it is not advised to sign contracts, engage in important decision-making, or launch a new business. Delays and challenges are more probable with Mercury retrograde. It’s a time when being careless with money, our personal information, or paperwork can be costly.

While Mercury was retrograde, we may have been rethinking a previous plan or pursuit. Looking to the signs and houses it transits can give clues as to what we may be deciding. This retrograde was in Pisces, and we were reconsidering matters of faith or compassion, spiritual or emotional health practices, and unfinished business.

Now that Mercury is direct, slowly but surely, information unclogs, and we can move on. Ideally, while Mercury was retrograde, we had the chance to catch up, refine details, and change our minds if needed.

Saturn sextile Pluto.

In March 2026, Saturn, at 5° Aries 10’, forms a sextile with Pluto at the same degree of Aquarius, 5° Aquarius 10’. This is a standalone transit. [Note: Often, aspects formed between outer planets and slow-moving points occur three times in a set due to retrograde motion, but this one is a one-time pass.]

This is a time when dedication and commitment to goals run high. We are more reliably and consistently productive. We derive satisfaction from a job well done, especially if we can readily attach meaning to it. We are more able to concentrate. We can see ourselves and our purpose very clearly. It’s an excellent time to cultivate patience and eliminate the unnecessary, allowing us to focus on what truly matters.

It can be a good time to dedicate ourselves to self-understanding, research, or counseling. Developing self-discipline can be rewarding and worthwhile. Narrowing our focus to a particular pursuit can be beneficial, as it allows us to apply ourselves and prioritize effectively.

It’s also a strong time for reforming social and political systems. Making the most of things is a strong theme. We can be more resourceful and good at preparing for our future.

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Gemini opposes the Moon in Sagittarius. A time of culmination, the Full Moon promises to fulfill what we started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.

During this Full Moon, we have the opportunity to become more fully aware of what has been lacking or missing in our lives. This is a time for personal growth, particularly in terms of learning, adventure, spirited living, communicating, sharing, and commuting.
