2015: Leo Horoscope: Love, Career, & General Trends
2015 Overview for all Leos.
You’re likely to enjoy much success on a personal level in 2015, dear Leo, with Jupiter continuing to transit your sign until mid-August. You’ll feel the most power of this influence from April 8th forward. You’re reaching a broader audience and many of you are enjoying chances to travel or to learn exciting new things. You’re exposed to ideas and perspectives that inspire you, and others are receiving you warmly. Continuing this year, you crave intellectual stimulation. Others are seeing your value and recognizing your creative, unique qualities. There is a new focus this year on creative talents, hobbies, pastimes, and recreational pursuits. How you spend your leisure time is in question, and many of you will be attempting to make better, or more practical, use of your energy and time, as well as your talents and gifts. There can be very rewarding work and effort going into hobbies and creative pursuits. You may have less time to “play”, or what you prefer to do with your leisure time can change considerably as you incorporate more structure and discipline into your life. Some of you will be working determinedly on a hobby or honing creative skills now. This trend continues into 2017, but you’ll be getting a strong hint of it in 2015. For some, a romantic relationship can become more serious, and for others, there is less desire or perceived time for dating and attention to casual relationships.
In the summer, you’ll be doing some clean-up work regarding home, family, and personal matters that have been challenging in the past few years. This is due to Saturn’s return to your solar fourth house, and for those born late in the sign, to a square position with your Sun. This is a time for paying special attention to getting your home life organized, secure, structured, and in better running order. Challenges within the family may surface (or resurface) for attention. However, by September, Saturn moves into favorable position with your Sun after spending almost three years in conflict with your sign, and you’ll be embracing responsibilities rather than feeling weighed down and overwhelmed by them. This is also a good move for improved health, a fact that is reinforced by a Jupiter-Pluto contact with you from October forward. Many of you will be enjoying a stronger feeling of well-being and vitality in the second half of 2015. Again this year, extra attention to communication and communication skills can have big payoffs, until October-November. This is a time for skills development, pursuing a specific line of study, gathering facts to back up beliefs, and making meaningful contact with others. Health and daily routines continue to transform this year as you discover new methods to replace ones that have become inadequate. Particularly from October forward, you’ll be experiencing more rewards for the improvements you make. There is a stronger feeling of being grounded now, and opportunities to heal the body and mind open up. You might turn around a difficult financial situation at this time. Natural talents may be used more fully in the work you do.
Venus retrogrades mostly in your sign from July 25-September 6. With Jupiter leaving your sign in mid-August, this is a good time for absorbing the “lessons” that you’ve learned about how you present yourself to others, your image and manner, as well as your general outlook and attitude going into any new situation or endeavor. August may not be the easiest of months for you, at least on the surface of things. From September forward is a period of abundance and comfort. This is a time for enjoying the rewards of your recent good fortune. Finances can improve considerably for some of you, or there can be an increased sense of being fulfilled and content. Some of you could acquire a major new material good that you’ve wanted for some time, or you may be using savings and resources towards a new business pursuit. Opportunities can open up to expand your business or personal possessions. Some of you could publish a major work around the time of a Lunar Eclipse on September 27th. While Jupiter is helping you to earn more, Neptune continues to confuse money dealings with others. Again this year, it’s important to watch your credit rating and your lending and borrowing habits.
2015 is strong for improvements to your health and well-being as well as your communication skills. Opportunities to expand your mind and enjoy new experiences are abundant, but as the year progresses, you’re inclined to settle in and enjoy a feeling of being grounded and more disciplined. Full overview.
2015 Details.
Until August 11th, Jupiter continues to move through your solar first house. This exciting transit occurs only every twelve years or so, and continues to bring improvements to your immediate environment and self-confidence, as well as increased generosity to your personality. Your personality is more obviously expansive, exuberant, and enthusiastic. This transit heightens your optimism and generosity, and the entire cycle has the potential for being a relaxed, fortunate, and hopeful time in your life.
You are greeting life with a fresh, can-do attitude. What happened in the past is not very important to you now – it’s the future you’re eyeing now. Events occur that help you to overcome problems that previously seemed challenging or even insurmountable – you have an altogether different perspective on life now, and are not inclined much to sweat the small stuff.
You create a distinct first impression on others, and your likeability increases. People thoroughly enjoy being around you, not because of what you do, but because of who you are. Furthering your personal ambitions and interests comes more easily during this cycle. At times, you may feel like the sky is the limit! You might need to guard against becoming too full of yourself or overly self-interested, however. There is also a risk of overindulgence and other forms of excessive behavior. Jupiter can bring endings into your life in order for you to grow, although these are generally easy ones. A carefree attitude is different than a careless one, and the fine line between the two is definitely something to consider.
You feel considerably freer to be yourself right now, and others tend to accept you more readily. These positive circumstances won’t necessarily fall into your lap, and are unlikely to come all at once, although they are more likely due to Jupiter’s direct influence on your life. You need to keep your eyes open for opportunities in these areas of life, and always watch for overdoing things or carelessness.
This can also be a time when more romantic and/or creative opportunities enter your life because Jupiter rules your sector of creativity, entertainment, hobbies, fun, children, and romance. You are especially fertile during this period. Expanding your horizons through higher learning or travel might also figure strongly. This is a time for aligning your behavior with what you believe is right. You are taking more “me” time, which is in fact long overdue after a period of serving, supporting, and helping others. Especially until June, there can be a real feeling of liberation from attitudes or circumstances that may have limited or restricted you from being all that you could be.
The most favorable periods for these matters occur while Jupiter is in direct motion in your solar first house, from April 8th to August 11th.
From August 11th forward, Jupiter transits your solar second house. During this cycle that lasts until September 2016, you are likely to see and enjoy benefits to your earning power and value system. Jupiter in this part of your chart could very well bring a profitable and productive period. You are likely to feel more confident and enthusiastic about your ability to earn a living, and this can help you to attract more income, as long as you are realistic. You might decide to develop your talents during this Jupiter cycle, which in turn boosts your earning power. Your income might increase, and there may be an opportunity to improve your future financial situation.
However, you could be just as inclined to splurge on yourself, opting to plump up your nest or your store of personal possessions in order to feel more secure. Money problems from the past may clear up during this period if you use it appropriately, developing budgets and working out ways to better manage your resources. You may be adding to your possessions, you might receive a large item or gift, or a major purchase or sale might occur now. A significant gift or bonus may come your way. This is a good time to work with financial institutions, shoot for a raise, or apply for a loan. You may need to curb an inclination to overspend – feeling good could bring you to the stores as you temporarily forget about the future!
The positive circumstances listed here won’t necessarily fall into your lap, and are unlikely to come all at once. You need to keep your eyes open for opportunities in these areas of life.
During this cycle, you bring a fresh, positive, and confident attitude towards your own self-worth and value, and to your practical affairs, including work and career. From October forward especially, opportunities to attract improved conditions in your career and a boost in reputation can arise. Your attitude is a “can do” one now. New business ventures can be especially successful.
The most favorable periods for these matters occur while Jupiter is in direct motion in your solar second house, from August 11, 2015 to January 7, 2016 and then May 9 to September 9, 2016. (This transit lasts until September 2016).
Saturn transits your solar fifth house until June 14th and then from September 17th forward (until December 2017). This transit began in December 2014 and runs until December 2017 (with the exception of this summer, June 14-September 17, 2015). It’s typically felt most strongly in the first year of its influence – for you, that will be this year!
Saturn’s influence is rather somber and serious, but also responsible and practical. You are getting serious about fifth house matters: romance, relationships with children, your creativity, and pleasure. Serious about pleasure? Yes, indeed. While you may not spend a whole lot of time living it up at parties, bars, or entertainment venues, you are likely to take your hobbies more seriously. In fact, this is an excellent period for monetizing any personal hobby – turning it into a business, even if it’s on the side.
If you have children, they may need more discipline or structure than they previously did. Some Leos will be welcoming children into their lives and discovering all of the responsibilities that come with it. Others who already have children may find that they’re at an age that requires more attention and discipline, or structure.
In the romance department, Saturn’s influence can go either way. For some, romance may be felt to be lacking or a romantic relationship could be more practical than fun. Tests or pressures on an existing romance could figure now. Casual relationships and dating may be nonexistent, or lean. For those of you who have recently entered a romance, you are beginning to look at it more seriously and critically. For others, a romantic relationship stabilizes and becomes more serious. Some of you will meet a new romantic interest who is perhaps older or mature, thus “meeting Saturn” through a partner.
For those of you who are single, there can be some reluctance to enter into light-hearted romantic relationships. If you do, you do so cautiously, and you are attracted to more mature or stable people during this cycle. Because you are more discriminating now, the pickings might appear to be slim.
Those of you who are dating might feel some loneliness, as it can be hard to find what you are looking for at this time. An existing romance may be tested but strong ones strengthen further. Those Leos who are in committed partnerships could find the romantic or fun element of the relationship becomes a strong area of focus during this cycle, for better or for worse. Keeping this aspect of your partnership alive requires work. A romantic partner could feel like a “heavy” at this time, and you might feel restricted in terms of making acquaintances and enjoying other people’s company. For those single and looking, be careful that you don’t project a negative attitude without even realizing it, as this can intimidate some.
Creatively speaking, you are a little more serious in your approach. You might be turning a hobby into a business now, or you might find that there is less time for creative hobbies, pastimes, amusements, and entertainment. Your work can require more show, drama, creativity, and entertainment value, and may be a hobby turned business. Romance and work can be tied together in some significant way. Some of you could be working hard on, and putting a lot of effort into, creative hobbies or pastimes.
This year, Saturn trines your Sun, and this helps you to better focus on your goals. This transit is a stabilizing one–others know they can rely on you, and you on them. Your vision is all the more realistic now, and pleasingly so. You work steadily and determinedly towards your goals. Authority figures and elders tend to look favorably upon you. This is a wonderful time for self-discipline.
Saturn finishes its transit of your solar fourth house from June 14-September 17. This transit that began in October 2012 ended in December 2014, but resumes and finishes up from June 2015 to September 2015.
Saturn here urges you to get serious about home, family, and domestic concerns. You are building your nest, not in a “plumping your nest” sort of way. In fact, you may be stripping some things away – perhaps even downsizing or de-cluttering – and adding structure to your domestic life.
You face issues surrounding your attachments to the past. Sometimes this manifests as literal re-organization of your home. Moving house is not typically associated with this transit as it would if, for example, Uranus was the transiting planet. If moves are made, you might encounter some resistance in yourself or the move might be a source of stress and worry; or you may be downsizing.
This may not be a time when you feel particularly brave in the outer world. However, reorganization in your home, and more importantly, in your soul, embodies the true nature of this transit. Many will go through a major “spring cleaning” inside. Limitations that came from early family conditioning will be brought to the fore. At first, there may be some frustration with your life to date, and how you have limited your opportunities because of early conditioning. A feeling of being alone and unsupported in life may dominate now. You may experience some distancing or frustrations regarding your parents. Family obligations may get in the way of your experience of pleasure and of the achievement of your personal goals. There may be some emotional distancing as well in your home environment. Your current living conditions may feel restrictive, limiting, too small or cramped (physically and/or emotionally). Delays and slowdowns may be experienced in the areas of health, mobility, and career. However, all of these things occur in order that you face your responsibilities, become more self-sufficient, and more organized. Ultimately, you are learning to rely on yourself and to take care of things that you may have previously neglected but that have undermined your confidence in yourself and in your life. Working from home is a strong possibility during this period.
The acute elements of this transit have already passed for your Leo group – this summer, you are finishing and tidying things up in these areas of your life. This is a time for resolving these matters. You are learning to meet your responsibilities and to fix whatever it is that you have let slide in the past. Ideally, you’ve built a stronger foundation. After mid-September this year, Saturn won’t return to this area of your chart for another 29 years.
Uranus continues to transit your solar ninth house this year. Connections with a broader set of people and experiences can be the catalysts for your changing, more open-minded personal philosophy. Your interest in learning, exploring, and branching out is renewed and fresh. Listening to your gut will serve you well, as long as you’re not listening to that part of you that fears change. Fortunately, it’s easier to make necessary changes in your life without making too many waves now. You are drawn to new experiences and ideas, and they contribute to your growth. You have a twinkle in your eye this year! Your own originality and uniqueness is bound to come shining through. You are slightly more outspoken, daring, and progressive than usual now.
Events that occur this year tend to show you a different side of yourself, and could attract new people into your life. Any new friends or connections made are likely to be quite different than those you have had in the past. If you want to rid yourself of some unhealthy habits or past conditioning that has been undermining your confidence, this is the year to do it. Some of the people around you might be surprised at your newly found independence, but most will enjoy it.
New intellectual interests are likely this year. Unexpected or unusual experiences tend to enhance your understanding, and a new perspective on your life is in store. An unexpected opportunity for travel may present itself, or new opportunities to further your education could arise. If you do get a chance to travel, which could come up quite suddenly, unusual and eye-opening experiences may be in store for you. The people that you meet this year tend to stir you into new ways of thinking. You are less inclined towards a personal philosophy that is traditional now, and attracted to more avant-garde or simply progressive belief systems.
The more acute elements of this transit have already been experienced before 2015 for your decan of Leo.
Neptune begins or continues its lengthy transit through your solar eighth house this year. You may encounter some challenges regarding shared finances or property during this cycle. On the other hand, a loan or other form of support may come through unexpectedly, even in a mysterious fashion. Intimate relationships can be highly colorful, perhaps with spiritual undercurrents, but also a little confusing. The boundaries that are normally drawn between what is yours and what is mine may be blurred somewhat during this Neptune transit. A partner could have unsettled finances, and this could impact your own finances. Do be wary of anything that even slightly resembles fraud. Lending others money may be a lesson in frustration now.
Pluto continues its lengthy transit of your solar sixth house this year, and you will need to watch for straining yourself by working too hard when Pluto itself is strained or under pressure. During the course of this very long-term transit, you will be learning about new ways of approaching health matters, particularly by uncovering root or core issues. Your work and habits are also evolving in important ways. This is a good period for ridding yourself of bad habits or routines, but be careful that you don’t replace one bad habit with another!
The North Node of the Moon is transiting your solar third house until October-November, and you are pointed in the direction of learning, communications, and connecting. You need to learn to listen to others so that you discover the value of true communication and exchange, and to see both sides of a situation. Learning to slow down, to be sensitive to social graces and networks, and to sensitize yourself to others’ needs and communications, will release you from nervous tension and help you achieve more happiness and inner balance. The North Node transits your solar second house from October-November, and this suggests that some of the greatest joys – and challenges – come through learning about your values and self-worth. Personal income, possessions, and values are in strong focus. You need to learn to depend on yourself and to establish your self-worth through your own efforts.
Eclipses in 2015 fall in your third and ninth houses, and in your second and eighth houses. You will be learning to expand your horizons, possibly through contact with people from an entirely different background than yours, travel, or higher learning. Your personal philosophy will be changing, and eclipses give you a push towards adopting beliefs that truly work for you in the real world. You are learning about your need for self-expression through adventure. There may also be some sort of drama surrounding communication, modes of transportation, mobility, neighbors, or siblings that requires you to reorganize. As well, your finances are evolving in important ways. You will be called upon to strike a balance between your own needs for security and comfort and the same needs of other people, such as those of a significant other. Some re-shuffling of money and resources may be in order.
In 2015, the Moon’s Nodes and eclipse activity continue to affect your sectors of learning, transportation, and communication. Your ability to manage the demands of daily life is tested, and changes may be necessary in order to become more effective. Your personal belief system is also evolving this year. Transportation can be a sudden issue. Opening up communications with others is a challenge but also a potential joy this year. Learning to slow down, to be sensitive to social graces and networks, and to sensitize yourself to others’ needs and communications without fear of being tied down, will release you from some of your nervous tension and help you to achieve more happiness and inner balance. Try not to run from small talk, even if you fear it will waste your time. With the North Node moving through your communications sector most of the year (until October-November), you can benefit greatly from reaching out to others.
As well, and especially in the last quarter of the year, your finances are evolving in important ways. You will be called upon to strike a balance between your own needs for security and comfort and the same needs of other people, such as those of a significant other. You are learning to ask for what you deserve, and to take charge of your earnings. The North Node in your finance sector from October-November forward points to a real need to manage your income, resources, valuables, and talents. Work on balance between independence and interdependence, and between holding on and sharing, particularly around the eclipses in March and September.
