The LAST QUARTER MOON occurs on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018, at 12:40 PM EDT. On Wednesday, the Last Quarter Moon is exact, when the Sun in Scorpio forms a square with the Moon in Leo.
The Last Quarter Moon phase points to some sort of crisis of consciousness. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us — and what doesn’t — in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again. This is not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. What revelations did you have last week? What did they mean for you? What can be done now?
This phase of the Moon occurs at 8 degrees and 12 minutes of Leo forming a square aspect with the Sun at 8 degrees and 12 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 6 to 10 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius).
LAST WEEK: The FULL MOON occurred on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018, at 12:45 PM EDT.
On Wednesday, the Full Moon occurred in the sign of Taurus. Full Moons always pit opposite signs of the zodiac against each other but also invite us to work to achieve a balance between the opposing energies.
The contrast between earthy, practical, peace-loving Taurus and emotional, transformative, crisis-oriented Scorpio comes full bloom today. The Moon in Taurus wants us to find emotional fulfillment through the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Sun draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between form (Taurus) and transformation (Scorpio), and between collecting (Taurus) and sharing (Scorpio). This is a passionate and creative Full Moon, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. Intimate relationship matters, such as personal comfort levels and values as well as sexuality, figure prominently now. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Sun aligned with retrograde Venus and the Moon with Uranus around the time of the Full Moon, and there can be a strong urge, or need, to break free from old patterns in our relationships. Our feelings about a lingering problem or matter can become very clear now.
This phase of the Moon occurred at 1 degree and 13 minutes of Taurus forming an opposition with the Sun at 1 degree and 13 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 27 to 30 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) and 0 to 5 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

(Times are Eastern)
The Sun is in Scorpio; Mercury is in Scorpio until the 31st, when it enters Sagittarius; Venus is in Scorpio until the 31st, when it returns to Libra; Mars is in Aquarius.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 23-November 22. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire.” Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio. We have the desire to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair. Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
Mercury is in Scorpio from October 9-31. When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and to arrive at fair solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover. We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations. Scorpio is extremely sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking is inclined to be one-track minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Mercury is in Sagittarius from October 31-December 1, and then December 12, 2018-January 4, 2019. When Mercury is in Sagittarius, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics. Ideals are sought, our thinking is more optimistic, and our faith increases. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade. What is fair and unfair concerns us most now. However, we are not always very precise under this influence.
Venus is in Scorpio from September 9-October 31. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is a passionate, sensual, and intense energy. Our relationships are immensely important to us, and we may even feel that they consume us. In fact, we tend to want to be consumed by them! Our drive is toward intense closeness, but blind faith in our partners is extremely hard for us now. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our own power to others are strong. Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result. Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises in order to feel alive and vital.
Venus is in Libra from October 31-December 2. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want during this cycle. Although Venus in Libra virtually lives for relationships, there is an air of cool detachment to this energy. We are very obliging with others–quite willing to negotiate and compromise. We can be especially idealistic about love. We prefer that things be done the “right” way, and are turned off by aggressive or uncouth behavior. The shadow side of this position is dependence, inconsistency, and superficiality. In an attempt to avoid unpleasant situations, we could easily gloss over deeper issues at play in our relationships. It’s probably best to avoid the trap of acquiescing to our partners but privately resenting the fact or thinking ourselves martyrs for doing so! This is also a time when we are more artistically inclined. We tend to seek balance in our personal environment.
Mars is in Aquarius from May 16-August 12 and September 10-November 15. Dynamic yet erratic energy levels, achieving our goals through hit or miss tactics, and impersonal expression of anger are characteristics of Mars in Aquarius. We are team players–cooperative and less concerned about personal power. We are attracted to unconventional methods and tend to approach problems from an intellectual, detached perspective.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Jupiter entered Scorpio on October 10th, 2017, and will remain in the sign until November 8th, 2018. Read about Jupiter in Scorpio transit here.
Uranus entered Taurus on May 15, 2018, and will transit Taurus until November 6, 2018, and then from March 6, 2019, to 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Uranus entered Aries on March 11th, 2011, and will transit Aries until May 15, 2018, and then from November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019. The urge to start fresh, to break free from restrictive attitudes or circumstances, to totally redesign an area of our lives (or even our personalities), and to gain freedom through independence is strong with Uranus in Aries.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Scorpio from September 9-October 31 and then December 2, 2018, to January 7, 2019. If a relationship becomes too settled or predictable, we may crave more intensity and catalytic experience. Jealousies, fears of betrayal, and power games are the shadow side of Venus in Scorpio. We may easily become obsessed with a fear that our partners might be betraying us, or that they are not as consumed and dedicated to the relationship as us. This can lead us to try to uncover the “truth”, reading too many negative possibilities in our partners’ actions and words.
Venus is in Libra from October 31st to December 2nd. Venus rules Libra and thus is dignified in the sign. Venus feels right “at home” in Libra, where she seeks to balance and harmonize. With Venus in Libra, we can easily be in love with love. We are more comfortable with a close partner with whom we can seek to have a balanced relationship. We are more inclined to employ charm rather than aggressive behavior in order to get what we want.
This week: Venus is retrograde again this week. (Venus is retrograde from October 5-November 16). Retrograde Venus retreats into the sign of Libra on Wednesday. Venus is parallel Mars on Sunday and Monday, animating our feelings and relationships. Desires are insistent and the desire to create and compete is stimulated. Venus opposes Uranus on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we question how much independence we may need in our relationships. We’re more sensitive than usual to feelings of being confined or constrained. On Friday and Saturday, we’re taking more interest and pride in our relationships.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Scorpio September 9-October 31. This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus conjunct the Sun October 25-26. Good relating is the focus, although some may find this energy superficial in that surface charm, diplomacy, and harmony is the goal. The pursuit of pleasure is emphasized.
Venus parallel Mars October 28-29. Favors romantic and sexual relationships. Intense passions.
Venus opposition Uranus October 30-31. Not a good time to start relationships. Independence is the reigning need. Some fickleness. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness.
Venus sesquiquadrate Neptune November 2. Romantic confusion as well as relationship ups and downs. Self-deceptions may come to light now.
Venus parallel the Sun November 2-3. A strong desire for harmony and comfort fill us now. We may be moved to express our affections.
Venus quincunx Chiron November 2-3. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Venus trine Mars November 8-9. Sexual attraction, romantic activities, and fertility are favored. This is one of the best times to enhance a relationship. Excellent time for starting a new relationship, all things equal.
Venus semi-square Mercury November 9-10. Communications between lovers may feel superficial or unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. We may be especially sensitive to what’s being communicated now.
Venus contra-parallel Uranus November 16-17. Questions of freedom, change, specialness, and experimentation are raised in our relationships.
Venus semi-square Mercury November 21-22. Communications between lovers may feel superficial or unsatisfying, and perhaps awkward. We may be especially sensitive to what’s being communicated now.

The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, October 28th, from 12:37 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Cancer at 7:27 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, October 30th, from 10:31 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mercury), until shortly thereafter when the Moon enters Leo at 10:42 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 2nd, from 12:32 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 1:48 AM EDT.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mars semi-square Saturn. We are called upon to solve problems, or our plans and efforts meet with resistance. Circumstances seem to block our efforts to assert ourselves. Patience is necessary now, although frustration is very likely. It can feel like more effort than usual is required to complete tasks.
Mercury conjunct Jupiter. We can visualize in broader terms and see the “big picture” now. Travel is favored, all things equal. We are optimistic, which can help us attract positive circumstances. This is a good time to submit ideas, applications, and so forth, all things equal. This is a time of thinking on a grand scale and long-range planning. Details and mundane affairs do not interest us as much as the big picture does. We are prone to exaggerating the facts due to enthusiasm. Expressing ourselves verbally comes easily, and public relations and negotiations run especially smoothly. This is a time for making long-range plans, seeing the big picture, and thinking about what is really important to us in the long run.
Mercury trine Chiron. This is an excellent period for opening up communications with others, as we are more sensitive than usual and more willing to listen. Getting our point across is easier, as it’s not only about which words we choose to communicate, we intuitively express the meaning and intention behind the words. We can effectively use words to heal and comfort just now. We are also more open to new ways of looking at problems or at life in general.
Venus opposition Uranus. Sudden attractions that may not last come under this influence. Similarly, impulsive attractions to material items that later prove to be unappealing occur now. This is not a good time to start a new relationship nor for any significant financial undertaking. Values and tastes may clash, and group activities may suffer as a result. Impulsive attractions to both people and material goods can lead us astray. Avoid impulse buys at this time. Some instability, restlessness, and rebelliousness are probable in romantic relationships. We may not see eye to eye, and we might be taken off guard by unexpected events. This is not a favorable aspect for beauty treatments because they could have unexpected results. We may struggle with freedom versus intimacy issues at this time. It’s wise to hold off on decision-making with regards to finances and relationships. However, if we can separate rebellion from a sincere need for change, we might open ourselves up to new ways of dealing with others.
Mercury quincunx Uranus. It is difficult to get a point across without rubbing people the wrong way or misrepresenting ourselves. Uncertainty reigns today. Avoid making hasty decisions that you will later regret. Impulsiveness, disorganization, unreceptive to practical advice and/or your ideas are not well-received.
Jupiter trine Chiron. This subtly uplifting time brings us the opportunity to free ourselves of restrictive and negative attitudes that have been undermining our progress. We are especially open to learning from others, and better able to help others to understand our point of view. We might open our minds to different perspectives and philosophies. We are absorbing and possibly sharing what we’ve learned from past experiences and mistakes.
Venus sesquiquadrate Neptune. Happiness is addictive under this influence. We tend to see what we want to see. Glossing over the more realistic points, details, and flaws of circumstances and of people provides us with instant gratification. However, it’s wise to hold off on making important purchases, or natalizing a relationship until the veil lifts. Take care with legal, financial, and social involvements, contracts, or formal agreements under this dreamy influence.
Mercury semi-square Pluto. “Suspicious minds” characterize this transit, although if we harness the energy, we can develop strategies to get to the bottom of any matter. Mistrust, investigations. Some level of mental stress, trouble, or pressure.
Venus quincunx Chiron. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.

OCTOBER 28
The Moon continues its transit of Gemini until 7:27 PM EDT. We’re curious about others and especially communicative under this influence. A Mercury-Pallas sextile today helps us on this front. We’re expressing ourselves more clearly than usual, and we’re more able to instruct others. There is a pronounced ability to order our thoughts and ideas and to recognize patterns. We can enjoy making plans, lists, associations, and connections now. Mercury is heading towards a conjunction to Jupiter, exact tomorrow, that encourages us to think confidently, hopefully, and in big ways. The Moon enters Cancer at 7:27 PM, and we begin to crave more comfort, familiarity, and a sense of security.
The Moon is void from 12:37 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Cancer at 7:27 PM EDT.
OCTOBER 29
This morning, Mars forms a semi-square with Saturn, and the Moon in Cancer plays into this energy as it challenges both bodies. We may want to resolve a frustrating problem now but could be too impatient to make satisfying progress. We should watch for applying overly rigid standards now. We can feel thwarted, blocked, or slowed down, and enthusiasm is likely to wane as a result. Delays are possible but might lead to necessary edits and adjustments. However, a Mercury-Jupiter conjunction inspires optimism. Mercury and Jupiter reach their final alignment in Scorpio, and we’re gaining insight into a problem, talking through issues, and seeing solutions or finding reasons to feel hopeful. Our opinions are strong. Mercury moves into a trine to Chiron tonight (Jupiter and Chiron will form their trine on November 1st), indicating good energy for discussing, or giving further thought to, sensitive topics. We can effectively use words to heal and comfort, and we approach problems holistically. This aspect strengthens our communication skills, not so much on a technical level but more in terms of using both our heads and our hearts to understand one another. The Moon spends the day in protective Cancer.
OCTOBER 30
The Moon spends much of the day in the sign of Cancer (until 10:42 PM EDT). The Cancer Moon is insular, protective, and self-protective. From 10:42 PM forward, the Moon transits Leo, and we open up, seeking more feedback and interaction. We’re moving towards a Venus-Uranus opposition, exact tomorrow morning, occurring just before Venus moves back into the sign of Libra. Impulsive attractions to people, things, and even situations are likely now, and especially strong tendencies with Venus about to change signs. Some instability, restlessness, and rebelliousness are probable in romantic relationships. We may not see eye to eye with key people in our lives, or unexpected events/feelings may take us off guard. Our needs for comfort and togetherness appear to clash with the desire to be free and independent. If we can separate rebellion from a sincere need for change, we might open ourselves up to new ways of relating that accommodate our diverse needs. Adding to the tendency to jump to decisions too quickly today is Mercury as it transits the final degree of Scorpio and heads into an awkward aspect with Uranus.
The Moon is void from 10:31 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mercury), until shortly thereafter when the Moon enters Leo at 10:42 PM EDT.
OCTOBER 31
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Leo, which inclines us to play, share, act, express, and create. The Last Quarter Moon is exact at 12:41 PM EDT when the Sun in Scorpio forms a square with the Leo Moon, pointing to a crisis of consciousness of sorts. After basking in the awareness symbolized by the full light of the Moon at the time of last week’s Full Moon, we disperse our knowledge and come to a point when we need to sort out what works for us — and what doesn’t — in preparation for next week’s New Moon, when something new is born once again. It’s not the best time to start a major project, as the decreasing light of the Moon symbolizes a descent into unconsciousness. It’s time to begin finishing up the details of that which was conceived at the last New Moon. This morning, retrograde Venus opposes and Mercury forms a quincunx to Uranus, and we may feel a little off kilter and sensitive to restrictions. Issues that emerged around September 10-11 can come back into play. Both Mercury and Venus change signs today: Mercury moves into Sagittarius and Venus retrogrades back into Libra. Mercury will transit Sagittarius for a longer time than usual due to its upcoming retrograde period (Mercury will be retrograde from November 16-December 6). Mercury in Sagittarius is curious, questioning, and brave with thoughts and ideas. Our thinking is optimistic, and our faith increases. However, we are not always very precise or detail-oriented during this cycle. While these transitions suggest it’s not an ideal day to make important decisions, we’re heading towards a Jupiter-Chiron trine aspect that helps round things out. It’s the bigger picture thinking that’s in the best shape now.
NOVEMBER 1
Jupiter will leave the sign of Scorpio and enter Sagittarius soon — on November 8th — but forms a trine to Chiron before it does, which is exact today. This subtly uplifting influence brings us the opportunity to free ourselves from restrictive and negative attitudes that have been undermining our progress. We are especially open to learning from others, and better able to help others to understand our point of view. We might open our minds to different perspectives and philosophies. We’re absorbing and possibly sharing what we’ve learned from past experiences and mistakes. We’re focusing on the goal, not the details, and it’s useful and rewarding. We can visualize in broader terms and see the “big picture” now, and communicate our message with spirit and enthusiasm, and we enjoy learning, as well. We are optimistic, helpful, and ready to share words of wisdom, and we’re in good shape for big-picture planning and thinking. Even so, the Moon opposes Mars towards midday, and there can be some temperamentality and touchiness. This transit excites our passions, although we may feel less in control of them than usual. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Leo.
NOVEMBER 2
The Moon completes its transit of Leo and enters Virgo at 1:48 AM EDT. The Virgo Moon is earnest, honest, supportive, and particular. We see the flaws more than usual under this influence, which can, on the one hand, help us identify problems and on the other, act to stress us out, particularly around the Moon’s square to Mercury this morning. The Moon forms a sextile to the Scorpio Sun this evening, and we’re especially cooperative, perceptive, and understanding. A Venus-Neptune minor challenge today suggests some uncertainty with our feelings, affections, and attachments. We’re inclined to see one another through the lens of wishful thinking.
The Moon is void from 12:32 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Venus), until the Moon enters Virgo at 1:48 AM EDT.
NOVEMBER 3
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Virgo, and we’re focusing on fixing problems. A semi-square between Mercury and Pluto can generate some tension or mental distress and worry. We’re somewhat skeptical or mistrustful under this influence, although if we harness the energy and use it for good, we can develop strategies to get to the bottom of any matter. Mental pressures or troubles can be unsettling, however, and we should watch for obsessing over an issue that we can’t or shouldn’t control. Venus forms a quincunx to Chiron today, and insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly. There could be feelings of discontent in relationships or a difficult choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.
When the Moon is in Leo
The Moon in Leo speaks to our "inner child". It's a warm, generous, whole-heartedly loving position. Pride keeps us from pettiness, but it can also prevent us from opening up and revealing how we are truly feeling. We are on stage, our feelings are grand, and we appreciate some drama in our lives. We are easily threatened by anything that seems to be impersonal. This is a time when we seek attention--when we want to stand out for our special qualities. It's a strong time for romance and any creative activity as well.
The Moon in Leo generally favors the following activities: Creative activities, activities involving children, generous undertakings, undertakings in which personal recognition is desired, and risk-taking.
When the Moon is in Virgo
We instinctually gravitate towards practical activities under the influence of a Virgo Moon. In an urge to set things right, we might easily find ourselves re-organizing and rethinking plans. Emotional satisfaction comes from solving problems, making order out of confusion, and helping others. Health matters might come into focus. We notice the smaller parts that make up the whole, and instead of letting nagging details bother us, we might work on ironing them out so that we can feel more confident moving ahead.
The Moon in Virgo generally favors the following activities: Mental pursuits, work activities, services, and routines. Activities that would benefit from tending to details.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues, and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Mercury in Sagittarius A time of expanding your mental horizons is at hand. Religion, philosophy, law, and education are some of the things that may have special importance for you now. Being in touch with faraway people and places satisfies an intellectual yearning – curiosity will take you anywhere and maybe everywhere.
Venus in Scorpio This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus in Libra As this new cycle takes hold in your life, romance and social interaction take on a greater importance for you. Harmonious ties to others are what you yearn for; refinement and elegance are what you seek. The ideal partnership, the perfect balance, the highest standards of truth and beauty – these are some of the things that quicken your pulse now.
Mars in Aquarius The reformer, the inventor, the engineer, the revolutionary – these are important archetypes for you as a new cycle gets underway in your life. They are icons of the ambitions that stir you at a time like this. Independence, freedom from past patterns, and a daring readiness to innovate: such are the paths of achievement for you now.
Jupiter in Scorpio The phase now beginning for you emphasizes fixing what is broken or unhealthy, thereby giving it a new lease on life. This is more than one person alone can handle, so the cooperation of others is essential. You give up something in order to get or create something, and you may not understand the reasons why at the time. Sex, money, power, and vitality become key issues.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
