Full Moon
The FULL MOON occurs on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019, at 8:35 AM EST.
On Tuesday morning, the Full Moon occurs in the sign of Taurus when the Sun in Scorpio forms an opposition to the Taurus Moon.
Full Moons always pit opposite signs of the zodiac against each other but also invite us to work to achieve a balance between the opposing energies.
The contrast between earthy, practical, peace-loving Taurus and emotional, transformative, crisis-oriented Scorpio comes full bloom at this time. The Moon in Taurus wants us to find emotional fulfillment through the simple, tangible things in life, while the Scorpio Sun draws our attention to complexities, intangibles, and mysteries. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict between form (Taurus) and transformation (Scorpio), and between collecting (Taurus) and sharing (Scorpio).
This is a passionate and creative Full Moon, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. Intimate relationship matters, such as personal comfort levels and values as well as sexuality, figure prominently now. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Sun aligns with retrograde Mercury, suggesting that we’re looking back as we come to epiphanies. The Full Moon also harmonizes with Saturn, Pluto, and Neptune. A new look at a lingering problem or matter can figure strongly now.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 19 degrees and 52 minutes of Taurus forming an opposition to the Sun at 19 degrees and 52 minutes of Scorpio, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 17 to 23 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Scorpio; Mercury is in Scorpio; Venus is in Sagittarius; Mars is in Libra.
The Sun is in Scorpio from October 23-November 22. The guiding principle of Scorpio is “I desire”. Scorpio is the sign of depth, intimacy, and extremes of feeling. Superficiality simply will not do with the Sun in Scorpio. We have the desire to get to the bottom of matters. Mediocrity does not satisfy either. All that is hidden, taboo, secret, or suppressed interests us. In Libra, we strived towards equality and fairness. Scorpio, however, instinctively believes that life simply isn’t fair. Scorpio’s energy is provocative, usually in a quiet way, as well as passionate, strong-willed, and intense. It can be an immensely healing and transformative energy. Jealousy, vindictiveness, beating a dead horse, and manipulative are some of the more negative expressions of Scorpio.
Mercury is in Scorpio from October 3-December 9. When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and to arrive at fair solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover. We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away the superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations. Scorpio is extremely sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking is inclined to be one-track minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Venus is in Sagittarius from November 1-25. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy shifts from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy with a specific person, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind. Romantic adventures, as well as a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love, are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are things that take priority with Sagittarius.
Mars is in Libra from October 4-November 19. We tend to use our charm as a means to an end under the influence of this cycle. Because we can see many different sides to an issue, we can be vacillating and indecisive about how to act. We don’t want to be the “bad guy”, and rarely resort to force. Instead, we attempt to win arguments with style. We are indirect in approach and inclined towards engaging in mental debates, yet we also attempt to make the opposition comfortable! Passive-aggressiveness is the shadow side of this energy.
Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 8th, 2018, and transits the sign until December 2nd, 2019. Read more about the Jupiter in Sagittarius transit.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Uranus is in Taurus. Uranus first transited Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and is now consistently in the sign (since March 6th, 2019) until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Sagittarius from November 1 to 25, 2019. Moving from Scorpio to Sagittarius, romantic energy changes from intense to buoyant. Sagittarius, of course, has its intense moments, considering it is a fire sign. However, its energy is considerably less focused; and, while Scorpio is most concerned with intimacy, Sagittarius’ love is of a more universal kind. Romantic adventures, as well as a straightforward–even blunt–approach to love, are on the agenda. Gone are the intricacy and complexity of Venus in Scorpio. Truth and higher meaning are focal points for Sagittarius. Venus in Sagittarius is forward-looking, not very specific, outgoing, and energetic. Freedom is most important in our love relationships now. We take a happy and enthusiastic approach to love, and we might find too much intensity or seriousness depressing. We have a taste for the exotic as well as for adventure with Venus in Sagittarius. The shadow side of this position is restlessness, the inability to settle down, and endlessly searching for something bigger and “better.”
This week: Monday and Tuesday hold warm, forgiving, reflective, and positive energies for our relationships. We may be seeing something from our past in a new light, and we’re quick to assign good things or meanings to our current connections. We’re excited to grow, expand, and improve with this aspect in play. Wednesday to Friday can find us struggling with our expectations of others or of a relationship itself. We may not know what or who to believe now as wishful (or fearful) thinking distorts our perceptions in our love lives. Boredom or restlessness with ordinary pleasures is likely, and a desire to experiment may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating if we’re not in touch with what’s truly the source of our discontent.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Sagittarius November 1-25. A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Venus parallel Saturn November 7-8. We may express our affection sparingly, but also responsibly and in practical ways. Relationships begun under this influence often feel burdensome over time, but they may last longer than most.
Venus parallel Pluto November 7-8. The desire for drama and intensity in relationships is with us. Love feelings and relationship issues can be all-consuming now, assuming more importance in our lives than usual. Interactions with others are intense now, and themes of sharing and trust dominate in relationships.
Venus parallel Jupiter November 11-12. We are charitable with others and have a stronger desire than usual to find meaning in our relationships. There may be some overstating or overindulgence now, however.
Venus square Neptune November 13-14. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit–a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus November 15-16. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus conjunct Jupiter November 23-24. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. An excellent time (all things considered) to begin a new relationship, or renew an old/existing one.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, November 10th, from 9:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Taurus at 6:19 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, November 12th, from 10:48 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Gemini the next day, Wednesday, November 13th, at 3:46 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, November 15th, from 6:41 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Cancer at 11:16 AM EST.
November 2019:

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury conjunct Sun. We are especially sharp, communicative, and open at this time, as our wants are aligned with our thoughts. It’s a favorable time for solving problems. What we say or write now has impact, for better or for worse!
Mars sextile Jupiter. Decisive action comes naturally now. We possess willpower, verve, and energy that we can direct toward achieving our goals. Success in contracts, negotiations, and business deals comes easily. We want to branch out and take on more challenges. A good time for making new goals or to initiate new projects (all things equal). Optimism and enthusiasm; adventurous spirit. Positive attitudes create winning situations now. A spirit of friendly competition prevails, as well as the desire to take beneficial action.
Mercury sesquiquadrate Chiron. Communications may be careless, hurtful or perceived as hurtful under this influence. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. There may be impatience with rules, worry or guilty feelings, and conflicting viewpoints now.
Mercury sextile Saturn. A good time to get organized, to do detail work, and to prepare for the future. Decisions made now tend to be practical and well thought out. Work done now will have tangible results in the future.
Sun sextile Pluto. Research brings rewards. We benefit now from strategy and keeping things to ourselves for the time being. Opportunities to find or renew something we had lost, and to gain some power are available now.
Mercury trine Neptune. Imagination and intuition run high, and are involved in decisions made today. We are in the right place at the right time. We may easily sense the thoughts and feelings of others. We express ourselves with subtle flair. Favors photography, the arts, poetry, fiction, spirituality, advertising, and promotion.
Venus square Neptune. Relationship ups and downs characterize this transit – a time when romantic mirages are more than likely. We see what we hope to see, rather than what really is. The “highs” of a relationship begun under this energy may be thrilling, but the accompanying “lows” are bound to set in, and they can be extremely draining. Be careful not to set yourself up for disappointment. The same goes for finances – what appears to be a great buy is likely to turn out to be a financial drain or money pit. Lines can blur when it comes to pursuit of pleasure, as we can convince ourselves to believe what we want to believe.
Venus sesquiquadrate Uranus. Unusual attractions (to people and things) can have us acting on a whim. We may deal with freedom versus closeness issues in our relationships. Relationships or finances can be unpredictable. Changes now can create fresh opportunities, however, that can add to our sense of joy and freedom.

NOVEMBER 10
The Moon continues its transit of Aries until 6:19 PM EST, and we’re filled with initiative. Our energy seems at its peak for new beginnings and innovations, and we’re far less interested in what’s already happened or what others have already done. The Moon opposes Mars and harmonizes with Jupiter this morning, producing particularly feisty energy. We may challenge anyone who challenges us! However, we’re also making the most of our circumstances. The Moon enters Taurus at 6:19 PM, which can bring us down to earth. The Sun and retrograde Mercury are heading toward an alignment, exact tomorrow, and we’re reaching a turning point in our thinking. We might begin to see recent decisions in a new light, and this understanding may serve to redirect us.
The void Moon occurs from 9:01 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Taurus at 6:19 PM EST.
NOVEMBER 11
The inferior conjunction of Mercury and the Sun occurs today, giving us a unique window into the past as it might impact our future. This is a good time for processing recent events and ideas, and for beginning to look at problems or issues from a new perspective and with a new understanding, mainly related to shared resources, intimate relationships, and indebtedness. Significant new ideas are born at this time, and they’re likely to have real staying power or importance in our lives. What we say or write now has an impact, for better or for worse. However, we may not have all the facts necessary to come to a solid conclusion, and we might later have to revise plans or decisions. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Taurus, and we’re seeking comfort. Earthy activities and sensual pleasures appeal now more than usual, and we find a sense of peace and contentment with that which is familiar and reliable.
NOVEMBER 12
The Full Moon occurs in the sign of Taurus this morning at 8:35 AM EST. This is a passionate and creative Full Moon, ripe with possibilities and learning experiences. Intimate relationship matters, such as personal comfort levels and values as well as sexuality, figure prominently now. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which began at the New Moon. It is an emotional time—a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships. A new look at a lingering problem or matter can figure strongly now. Also today, Mars forms a sextile to Jupiter, and we are enthusiastic about taking action to make changes and improvements. Decisive action comes naturally. We are more courageous and energetic than usual, and we can benefit greatly if we direct this energy into efforts to advance our goals. A spirit of friendly competition prevails as we seek to branch out and take on more challenges. This influence encourages enterprise and confidence in taking action on our beliefs and convictions.
The void Moon occurs from 10:48 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Pluto), until the Moon enters Gemini the next day, Wednesday, November 13th, at 3:46 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 13
Today’s energies are excellent for focus, determination, and greater understanding. We can be very resourceful today. With the Sun-Pluto sextile today, we may be discovering new ways of looking at problems or life in general. We feel stronger and enjoy the empowered feeling that results from making changes and improvements. Research brings rewards. We benefit from strategy and perhaps some discretion. There can be an opportunity to rebuild or reform a project and to work on self-improvement. It’s also a good time to reflect and see new levels of a situation as retrograde Mercury harmonizes with Saturn and Neptune.
The Moon continues its void until it enters Gemini today at 3:46 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 14
The Moon spends the day in Gemini, exciting our curiosity and desire to communicate and connect. The Moon hooks into today’s Venus-Neptune square that can cast a veil over our needs, wants, and perceptions. We may be dreaming up the ideal, and this can clash with reality. We could lack discrimination, particularly when it comes to people we care about, our relationships, and material things–we’re likely too close to the situation. We should make an effort to separate fact from fiction so that we don’t set ourselves up for disappointment. What appears to be a great buy or something we absolutely need may very well turn out to be useless to us, or worse, a financial drain or money pit. Lines can blur when it comes to the pursuit of pleasure, as we can convince ourselves to believe what we want to believe. Examining discontent experienced now may be an opportunity to identify where we’ve neglected our spiritual, idealistic, or imaginative needs.
NOVEMBER 15
The Moon continues its transit of Gemini until 11:16 AM EST. We’re curious about others and especially communicative under this influence. We’re able to see two sides of a situation. This can be a communicative time, and we may prefer to skim the surface of issues rather than delve more deeply. While we begin the day craving more interconnectivity, as the day advances, we seek out more comfort and familiarity. The Moon enters Cancer at 11:16 AM, and we begin to crave a sense of security. Even so, we’re open to new ideas about pursuing these things as the Moon harmonizes with Uranus this evening.
The Moon is void from 6:41 AM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a trine to Mars), until the Moon enters Cancer at 11:16 AM EST.
NOVEMBER 16
The Moon opposes Saturn, and we can be frustrated by little things that go wrong or that pull us away from our interests. We can feel some tension due to our drives to perform or the demands of our responsibilities. The Cancer Moon seeks familiarity, but events, people, and circumstances tend to pull (or jar) us out of our comfort zone today. However, the Moon harmonizes with Neptune, and we find ways to detach and calm ourselves, mainly through connecting to our dreams and ideals. A Venus-Uranus minor square suggests some restlessness or discontent with our current pleasures or pastimes, and a small change may be satisfying at this time.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.
When the Moon is in Cancer
The restlessness of the Gemini Moon gives way to an instinctive need for peace and quiet. A feeling of belonging and safety is what motivates us under this influence. The Moon feels right at home in the sign of Cancer, as it rules the sign. This Moon position has much healing potential. Although insular by nature, our feelings run deep, making it an ideal time to get in touch with what motivates us.
The Moon in Cancer generally favors the following activities: Domestic activities, those that involve awareness of personal needs. Home decor, family get-togethers.

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Scorpio Who owes what, who owns what, and who decides these things: these are some of the major issues for you at the dawn of the cycle that now begins in your life. The only thing we really own is our consciousness; the only master who is never overthrown is oneself. These are lessons best learned early in this cycle. Master them, and you master everything. Dodge these issues and the great strength that could be yours will remain just out of reach. Understanding inner motivations, seeing through to the core: that’s your real path of power and enlightenment now.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Venus in Sagittarius A yearning for adventure and far horizons stirs in you now. To roam, to wander and wonder, to seek freedom and go where no one has gone before – these things are deep and powerful longings. A time of romantic crusades, a universal love that might not be too particular.
Mars in Libra “I’m giving you a definite maybe” – that’s the motto of the cycle you’re now entering. It’s a time of refinement and tact, of an urge to please others that is so strong as to make it hard to decide or act for fear of offending someone. You’ll quickly learn to balance this out, or you’ll discover that there is no peace in compromise – and this can be tough on close relationships. The trick is to find the win-win solution to the no-win situation – and if anyone’s ever up to it, you are now.
Jupiter in Sagittarius Faith, optimism, and a yearning to explore all kinds of new horizons: these are some of the focal points in your life at this time. Travel, education, and other ways to stretch your horizons open new doors of opportunity. Religious, philosophical, and cultural matters are likely to have special appeal for you now; transmitting ideas on a broader scale brings gain.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
