The NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE occurs on Saturday, January 5th, 2019, at 8:29 PM EST.
An annular Solar Eclipse occurs on Saturday at 15 degrees and 25 minutes of Capricorn. Its effects can be felt up to six months after the actual date of the eclipse. In the Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn, public life, career, reputation, achievement, and accountability are in sharp focus. This eclipse is about new beginnings regarding all of these matters.
This is a time for setting practical, attainable goals; working on developing maturity and common sense in the personality; considering the future, and preparing for it; focusing on concrete ways of developing self- discipline and self-mastery; finding ways to give satisfying form to wishes; making commitments and recognizing responsibilities; accepting that we are limited, and that, ironically, some of our limitations truly free us to explore deeper dimensions of experience by offering us a secure foundation, and nurturing our dreams in a realistic fashion.
Capricorn teaches us that recognizing our limitations actually frees us to focus on what matters, where we are, who we are, and where we want to go. With the potent Capricorn energy of the Solar Eclipse, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. For some of us, circumstances are such that we need to pay more attention to these matters. Flaws in an important system in our lives are revealed around the time of the eclipse, prompting us to redo or to start fresh. Something ends in order for something else to start anew. We may be called to give up something in order to move forward into a new chapter in our lives. Although the “new” may be unrecognizable, it is important to allow the necessary surrender to the unknown.
Major developments in the personal areas ruled by Capricorn in our charts are likely to occur over the course of the next 3-6 months. However, because this is part of a series of eclipses falling in Cancer-Capricorn, we can extend this range further. The last eclipse falling along this axis will occur in July 2020. Not everyone will feel the effect of the eclipse with the same intensity. Those whose personal planets are activated by the degree of the eclipse will most feel its effects on a personal level.
The eclipse point itself is in between Pluto and Saturn, and a feeling of being stuck can prompt a new beginning. Ambitions are strong, but so is pressure to perform, and perhaps a bit of paranoia, as well. The harmonious sextile to Neptune helps us access our intuition and compassion.
Solar eclipses occurred at approximately the same degree as this January 2019 eclipse on January 4, 1973, January 4, 1992, and January 4, 2011. It might help to think back to these periods and consider the themes that surrounded your life at that time in order to get a better understanding of what the current eclipse series might mean for you. Most recent previous eclipse sets falling along the Cancer-Capricorn axis occurred from July 2009 to July 2011, July 2000 to June 2002, July 1990 to December 1992, July 1981 to June 1983.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 15 degrees and 25 minutes of Capricorn, affecting people born with personal planets and points at approximately 10 to 20 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) most significantly.

This week: The Sun is in Capricorn; Mercury is in Sagittarius until January 4th, after which Mercury is in Capricorn; Venus is in Scorpio; Mars is in Pisces to the 31st, after which Mars is in Aries.
The Sun is in Capricorn from December 21-January 20. We are motivated by feelings of responsibility, ambition, and respect for law and order. Capricorn derives much satisfaction in completion and accomplishment. Standards, structures, and an appreciation for order are Capricorn themes. Capricorn wants tangible results, knows what is feasible and what is not, and is most comfortable working within an established framework and known boundaries or limits. Working towards a long-term goal is most satisfying with this influence.
Mercury is in Sagittarius from December 12, 2018-January 4, 2019. When Mercury is in Sagittarius, our thinking shifts from a need to plumb the depths of any given situation to the desire to learn about a wide range of topics. Ideals are sought, our thinking is more optimistic, and our faith increases. We are more equipped to believe and to persuade. What is fair and unfair concerns us most now. However, we are not always very precise under this influence.
Mercury is in Capricorn from January 4 to 24, 2019. When Mercury is in Capricorn, our thinking is methodical and our focus is sober and practical. It is easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles become more logical, orderly, and organized. We are more able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes important to us. We need to be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking. We may come across as cold or harsh. For some, there is a fine line between realism and pessimism.
Venus is in Scorpio from December 2, 2018-January 7, 2019. Deeply passionate relations are the focus with Venus in Scorpio. Superficial flirtations and contacts do not satisfy now, as we yearn for “body and soul” contact with someone special–contact that breaks the taboos, that is extreme and intense, and that is unforgettable. This is a highly emotional position for Venus. It is a passionate, sensual, and intense energy. Our relationships are immensely important to us, and we may even feel that they consume us. In fact, we tend to want to be consumed by them! Our drive is toward intense closeness, but blind faith in our partners is extremely hard for us now. Fears of being too vulnerable or of giving up our own power to others are strong. Scorpio is an “all or nothing” energy, and relationships tend to be somewhat of a rollercoaster ride as a result. Disdain for mediocrity and superficiality can compel us to create crises in order to feel alive and vital.
Mars is in Pisces from November 15-December 31. We tend to feel less motivated to go after traditional goals, and more motivated to pursue spiritual or emotional drives during this cycle. We dislike confrontation during this trend. Our output is variable rather than straightforward, and our energy is similarly up and down. We may put others’ needs ahead of our own, and our more idealistic side comes to the fore. During this cycle, going after what we want becomes less straightforward and more complicated!
Mars is in Aries from December 31-February 14. Mars feels at home in one of the signs that it rules, Aries, and therefore its power is boosted. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident. Our actions are direct–we instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered.
Saturn transits Capricorn from December 19/20, 2017, to March 21, 2020; and then finishes up its transit from July 1 to December 17, 2020. Read about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn here.
Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 8th, 2018, and transits the sign until December 2nd, 2019. Read more about the Jupiter in Sagittarius transit.
Uranus transited Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6, 2019, to 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn how to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. We’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle. There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. We’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money are likely. Income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Uranus returned to the sign of Aries on November 6th, 2018, for a four-month stay.
Uranus entered Aries on March 11th, 2011, and continued its transit of Aries until May 15, 2018, and then from November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019. The urge to start fresh, to break free from restrictive attitudes or circumstances, to totally redesign an area of our lives (or even our personalities), and to gain freedom through independence is strong with Uranus in Aries.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Scorpio from December 2nd, 2018, to January 7, 2019. If a relationship becomes too settled or predictable, we may crave more intensity and catalytic experience. Jealousies, fears of betrayal, and power games are the shadow side of Venus in Scorpio. We may easily become obsessed with a fear that our partners might be betraying us, or that they are not as consumed and dedicated to the relationship as us. This can lead us to try to uncover the “truth”, reading too many negative possibilities in our partners’ actions and words.
This week: Venus harmonizes with the North Node but forms a minor tense aspect with Saturn on Tuesday and Wednesday, and we’re ready to make improvements, although we can also feel somewhat obligated.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Scorpio December 2, 2018, to January 7, 2019. This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Venus conjunct Ceres December 26-27. We can be feeling pleasantly attached, finding it natural and easy to nurture and support people in our lives, although we may take this a little too far.
Venus sextile Pluto December 28. Subtly powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions.
Venus trine North Node January 3-4. We are more concerned with harmonizing than usual and we tend to be agreeable and cooperative. We could feel lucky in love, and we could meet someone who is good for us. Fortunate connections might be made now.
Venus semi-square Saturn January 3-4. Feelings of isolation, of not getting what we really want, and of not being loved the way we want to be loved can get in the way of pleasant relations with our partners.
Venus trine Chiron January 4-5. A commitment-friendly transit. Love can heal old wounds. We are open to romantic feelings.
Venus quincunx Uranus January 5. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, freedom vs. intimacy issues. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships, or whether we need freedom from them, yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
Venus semi-square Pluto January 12-13. Tendencies to look for something wrong in a relationship. Jealousy raises its ugly head.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects. The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart for the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass. The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, December 30th, from 5:54 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Uranus), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 8:24 PM EST.
VOC Moon on Tuesday, January 1st, from 5:27 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Venus), until the Moon enters Sagittarius the next day, Wednesday, January 2nd, at 3:59 AM EST.
VOC Moon on Friday, January 4th, from 12:42 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mercury), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 1:55 PM EST.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
This week, the Moon is waning this week until the New Moon on January 5th — a period that is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings with exceptions — after which the Moon is waxing, which is generally considered favorable for new beginnings, again with exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from Sunday, December 30th, at approximately 8:30 PM EST, until Tuesday, January 1st, at approximately 5:25 PM EST, while the Moon is in Scorpio. Another window occurs from Thursday, January 3rd, at approximately 8:05 AM EST, until Friday, January 4th, at approximately 12:40 PM EST, while the Moon is in Sagittarius.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Sun conjunct Saturn. This is a time when we are called upon to “get real”. We feel the constraints of time and are motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. It’s “nose to the grindstone” time. We may feel overworked; alternatively, we welcome some discipline into our lives. Avoid launching new projects, particularly financial ones. Instead, work on a new plan for creating order in your life, or on an old project that requires a new commitment. Emotional energy is not enough to fuel us for the time being; thus we could feel sapped on a physical level. However, making new commitments to old goals, shouldering responsibilities, and making careful use of our resources could feed our need for structure and order in our lives.
Mercury square Chiron. Communications may be strained, and possibly hurtful or perceived as such. Misunderstandings are more likely now. Decisions may also be hard to come by, as we tend to doubt ourselves or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now.
Mercury trine Uranus. This is an opportune time to attend meetings and other organized group activities, to communicate online, and to take part in activities involving computers, scientific projects, and metaphysics. Unexpected gains may be realized through such mediums. The intuition is strong, and insights seem to come from “out of the blue”. Original, creative ideas are easy to come by.
Venus semi-square Saturn. There may be difficulties relating to others under this influence. People may be cool with their affections and emotionally distant. Avoid new financial undertakings, as they may prove to be “money pits” as time passes. There may be anxiety or troubles with regards to matters concerned with the feelings. Romantic disappointments, unrequited love, separations, and broken engagements are the more negative manifestations. We tend to lack social confidence at this time and adopt a shy, formal, or reserved social manner. This transit is best used for reflection.
Sun sextile Neptune. We’re at the right place at the right time, probably because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in”. We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits like no drug can. A good time for self-improvement programs or efforts. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence. We are able to see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that allows for, and even finds beauty in, differences.
Venus trine Chiron. We have the chance to heal our personal relationships now, as we are more open to intimacy and commitment, as well as learning from one another. We more easily see beauty in human weaknesses and are less inclined to see fault or to concern ourselves with fault. It’s a strong time for building trust in relationships, and for seeing potential in one another.
Venus quincunx Uranus. Impulsive spending, peculiar attractions, fear of commitment, and freedom vs. intimacy issues may be themes now. We might question whether we need more excitement in our relationships (or leisure activities), or whether we need freedom from them, yet we don’t feel confident enough to rock the boat.
Note: Times given in the table/calendar above are Eastern Time (ET).

DECEMBER 30
The Moon continues its transit of Libra until 8:24 PM EST, and we’re seeking fairness, balance, and harmony. The Moon then moves into the sign of Scorpio, and we look for a deeper connection to a particular person or activity. It’s a time for exploring mysteries and investigating matters more deeply. We’re emotionally strong and courageous, willing to put ourselves out there for something we care about. There can be an inclination to try to maneuver things our way today, but also the chance for a breakthrough in a love relationship or a more profound understanding or connection. Our attachments are pronounced now, and we may seek out deeper, richer contact.
The Moon is void from 5:54 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (an opposition to Uranus), until the Moon enters Scorpio at 8:24 PM EST.
DECEMBER 31
The Scorpio Moon harmonizes with the Sun, Saturn, and Neptune today, and we can find a nice balance between inspiration and practical application which is productive and feels well-rounded. The Moon in Scorpio is perceptive, passionate, and brave. Mars enters Aries tonight, not long before the new year begins, and since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and Mars rules Aries, this energy feels especially appropriate for beginning fresh. Mars will transit Aries until February 14th, and does particularly well in the sign — it’s in a commanding position. Our energy is spontaneous, forward-looking, and even courageous under this influence. Our competitive spirit is well-developed, and our goal is to win! We are active, single-minded, and confident. We instinctively find the fastest way to get from point A to point B. The shadow side of Mars in Aries is a tendency to be impatient, arrogant, impulsive, short-lived, unreflective, and self-centered. However, Mars in Aries is authentic, trail-blazing, enthusiastic, and straightforward.
JANUARY 1
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Scorpio, aligning with Venus and stimulating our desire for more intimacy. The Sun approaches an alignment with Saturn in Capricorn, exact very early tomorrow, and asks us to get serious. We’re reminded of the constraints of time and motivated by the desire to manifest tangible results. It’s “nose to the grindstone” time. We may feel burdened, overworked, or restricted. However, we might also welcome some discipline in our lives. This is a time for working on a revised plan for creating order in our lives or on an old project that requires a new commitment. Emotional energy is not enough to fuel us for the time being; thus we could feel sapped on a physical level. However, recommitting to goals, shouldering responsibilities, and making careful use of our resources could feed our need for structure and order in our lives now.
The Moon is void from 5:27 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Venus), until the Moon enters Sagittarius the next day, Wednesday, January 2nd, at 3:59 AM EST.
JANUARY 2
The Moon enters Sagittarius early today at 3:59 AM EST, harmonizing with Mars in Aries. The mood is right for enjoyable activities and pastimes. There can be a lot of playfulness, warmth, and enthusiasm at this time. With the Sagittarius Moon, we’re curious, spontaneous, and ready for adventure. Anything that breaks the routine is appealing now. We’re seeking out experience and meaning, and the Moon-Mars trine encourages our enterprising side. With the Sun and Jupiter forming a semi-sextile, we may need to adjust our path if we find our ideals and long-term goals are at odds with what we can realistically accomplish, which can leave us undecided for the time being.
The Moon is void until 3:59 AM EST when the Moon enters Sagittarius.
JANUARY 3
Mercury forms a square to Chiron and then a trine to Uranus, and insights seem to come from “out of the blue.” Original, creative ideas are easy to come by, although there can be some lack of confidence and possible misunderstandings. Communications may be a little compromised or strained as a result of perceiving things emotionally or through our insecurities. Decisions may also be hard to come by, as we tend to doubt ourselves or the effectiveness of our ability to solve problems. Ultimately, we’re seeking answers that are not the most obvious ones, and we can get to some interesting places on a mental level now. The Moon spends the day in the sign of Sagittarius, encouraging us to embrace new ideas and experiences.
JANUARY 4
The Sun forms a sextile to Neptune today, and this tends to soften our rough edges. We take things as they come and assign meaning to our experiences more readily than usual. This influence stimulates our imagination and sets an excellent mood for respecting our intuition and relaxing rather than pushing forward. We might find ourselves at the right place at the right time because our hunches are more likely to be correct and we are “tuned in.” We are inspired, and charitable acts now will serve to lift our spirits. Instinctual judgment is enhanced under this influence. We can see matters, and people, from a different perspective–one that allows for, and even finds beauty in, differences. The Moon continues its transit of adventurous Sagittarius until 1:55 PM EST, after which it transits industrious Capricorn. Mercury, too, enters Capricorn today, and while the Moon will only spend a couple of days in the sign, Mercury will stick around in Capricorn until the 24th. While Mercury is in Capricorn, our thinking is methodical, and our focus is sober and practical. It’s easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles become more logical, orderly, and organized. We are more able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes most important to us. We need to be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking. We may come across as cold or harsh. Tomorrow, a Solar Eclipse will occur in the sign of Capricorn, and today, it makes sense to wind down. Fortunately, we have the Sun-Neptune sextile to help us with this.
The Moon is void from 12:42 PM EST, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Mercury), until the Moon enters Capricorn at 1:55 PM EST.
JANUARY 5
Venus forms a trine to Chiron and quincunx to Uranus today, and we may feel we must choose between closeness and freedom or we have a hard time combining the two. However, we may get an opportunity to heal our personal relationships, as we are especially open to learning from one another. We more easily see beauty in human weaknesses, and we’re less inclined to see fault or to concern ourselves with fault. It’s a strong time for building trust in relationships, and for seeing potential in one another despite some off timing. A Solar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Capricorn today, and new beginnings or a fresh approach to our career, social standing, or attention to structure and organization are in order. This is a time for setting practical, attainable goals, making commitments, recognizing responsibilities, and nurturing our dreams with special attention to realism. Capricorn teaches us that knowing our limitations frees us to focus on what matters, where we are, who we are, and where we want to go. With the potent Capricorn energy of the Solar Eclipse, we have the chance to make essential changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. The eclipse point itself is in between Pluto and Saturn, however, so a feeling of being stuck can prompt a new beginning. Ambitions are strong, but so is pressure to perform, and perhaps a bit of paranoia, as well. The harmonious sextile to Neptune helps us access our intuition and compassion. This eclipse is the second in a set of Cancer-Capricorn eclipses, the first of which was a Solar Eclipse in Cancer last July.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Libra
Creating order is the focus, not necessarily through tidying or organizing as was the case while the Moon was in Virgo, but rather through pleasing interactions with others and aesthetics in our environment. We tend to solve problems through diplomacy, and we are more able to put aside our own emotions in order to achieve the peace we crave. The tendency now is to avoid direct confrontations. Decisions do not come easily. Seeing both sides to any given situation is the main reason for hesitation. Fear of losing others' approval is another.
The Moon in Libra generally favors the following activities: Relationship and partnership issues, activities involving teamwork and cooperation, activities that involve self-examination, activities related to beauty.
When the Moon is in Scorpio
Intensity is what the Moon in Scorpio is all about. Whether it's passion, elation, sorrow, or desire, emotions are felt on a deeply personal level. We are motivated by the desire to get to the bottom of things, and we instinctively read between the lines. Superficiality won't work for us now. The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power, and it's an excellent time to rid ourselves of old fears and limiting habits. It can be an intimate and passionate time. Avoid manipulative tactics, brooding, and suspiciousness.
The Moon in Scorpio generally favors the following activities: Taxes, accounting, intimacy issues, psychological examinations, research, self-examination, getting rid of old things.
When the Moon is in Sagittarius
The Moon is at her most optimistic and upbeat in Sagittarius. We are motivated by a need to seek the truth, and we are ready to pursue a new vision. We are not interested in details just now. Instead, we focus on the big picture. New experiences and adventures satisfy a deep emotional need. Spontaneity is the key. We may also be inclined toward overdoing and overstating. We don't want to plan ahead, and prefer to "wing it".
The Moon in Sagittarius generally favors the following activities: Adventurous activities that involve "winging it", travel, higher education, starting publishing projects, advertising, sports, physical activity.
When the Moon is in Capricorn
We become aware of the need for structure and planning ahead. We also instinctively are aware of the limitations of time. We are motivated by a desire for success. Achievement and manifestation are most important to us now. We are resourceful and don't want to waste time, energy, or resources. This can be a very sober influence--even a depressing one. However, it can also be a productive time when we look reality in the eye.
The Moon in Capricorn generally favors the following activities: Long-term activities that yield slow but steady results, practical undertakings, career issues, making a business plan, practical investments.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Capricorn You see what’s wrong and you know what to do now: the time has come to make it real, and it’s a lot bigger than any one person. This means cooperation and organization, authority and discipline, responsibility – and all these things are what it takes to get you where you know you must go. But take care! If your vision is only for yourself, what you create cannot last: it must be for some greater good. Ambition, practicality, and achievement are admirable, but they are means to an end – not ends in themselves.
Mercury in Sagittarius A time of expanding your mental horizons is at hand. Religion, philosophy, law, and education are some of the things that may have special importance for you now. Being in touch with faraway people and places satisfies an intellectual yearning – curiosity will take you anywhere and maybe everywhere.
Mercury in Capricorn Figuring out how to organize projects and people is apt to become a topic of special interest – and a challenge – at a time like this. Opinions are not enough for you now: they must be backed by authority or evidence, and above all, they must have practical worth and application. A period of intense study and thought.
Venus in Scorpio This is way beyond love, all the way to obsession – that’s the nature of the cycle that now takes hold in your life. We’re not talking just lukewarm WANT here; we’re talking red-hot GOT TO HAVE! Passion, jealousy, possession: these are the kinds of experiences that can flow from the intensity that courses through you at one level or another now – voracious.
Mars in Pisces There’s a martyr complex in the air, now that this new phase has begun in your life. How can you (or anyone) save the world? It’s a question you’ll probably ask yourself as this cycle continues. Defending the weak, undoing injustice, and tilting at windmills can be a big temptation. You might even win a few hands – but you’ll blister a couple if you’re not careful.
Mars in Aries Fresh challenges and initiatives light your fires now, as a new cycle begins in your life – lots of energy, a powerful urge to be first or come out on top. Away with the old and on to the new – let no one and nothing stand between you and your objective! Headstrong impulses and rash courage can take you far … sometimes in harm’s way, if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Sagittarius Faith, optimism, and a yearning to explore all kinds of new horizons: these are some of the focal points in your life at this time. Travel, education, and other ways to stretch your horizons open new doors of opportunity. Religious, philosophical, and cultural matters are likely to have special appeal for you now; transmitting ideas on a broader scale brings gain.
Saturn in Capricorn Responsibility, hard work, ambition, and achievement: these are the foundations you need to build on now, as a new cycle dawns in your life. And yet, there is a tendency to be a little too hard, perhaps a bit cold, in your approach to these things. Let ambition take you to the top, but don’t let it lull you into thinking that the end justifies the means.
Uranus in Aries A clean break with the past in some respects is signaled by the cycle you have just begun. What YOU need, YOUR freedom and independence, shattering old molds: these are the things that energize you and take priority in your life. Uniqueness and originality set you apart.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone and everyone in their place…
