Full Moon
The Full MOON occurs on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at 11:47 PM EDT.
A Full Moon, a time of intense emotional energy, occurs when the Sun in Libra forms an opposition to the Moon in Aries late at night on Monday. This marks the culmination and the promise of fulfillment of what we started at the New Moon. It is a time of heightened emotions, romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Aries-Libra polarity is a relationship axis, where Aries represents ‘self,’ and Libra represents ‘other.’ Aries is about self-assertion, while Libra is about the power of compromise. Understanding this balance can empower us in our relationships.
Through the energy of the Libra Sun, we are reminded of the importance of relationships and the effort required to maintain them–compromising, negotiating, graciousness, and balancing. The Aries Moon, on the other hand, is self-assertive, leading, and personally courageous.
The Full Moon Chart:
This phase of the Moon occurs at 14 degrees and 8 minutes of Aries opposite the Sun at the same degree of Libra, and affecting planets at approximately 10 to 18 degrees of the Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn) the most.
This Full Moon urges us to strike a balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of a significant other–and between independence or autonomy and dependence or companionability.
The Libra Sun is diplomatic, equality-minded, and fair-minded. The Aries Moon, however, values authenticity over tact and is energized by independent efforts. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
Neglecting either end of the Aries-Libra axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, we find a balance between the two energies, which the Full Moon invites us to do.
This Full Moon is about emotional declarations. Something has been building inside of us, likely of a personal nature, and now is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the upcoming weeks, we will discover what this declaration means for us. For now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.
The Full Moon illuminates the conflict between “me” and “you,” and between autonomy and sharing. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our own lives.
However, these new feelings and revelations are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness. It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems.
Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is new and not particularly rational.
This lunation reminds us to consider how we are honoring ourselves in the context of our close relationships. New revelations can occur now, particularly in the areas of our physical bodies, leadership skills, our ability to initiate and begin new things, and our close partnerships. We’re brave, determined, and resourceful.
NEXT WEEK: The next moon phase will occur next week, on Monday, Oct 13, 2025, 2:12 PM EDT, when the Last Quarter Moon occurs.

(Times are Eastern)
This week: The Sun is in Libra; Mercury is in Libra until the 6th, when Mercury enters Scorpio; Venus is in Virgo; Mars is in Scorpio.
The Sun is in Libra from September 22-October 22. Libra rules relationships with others as mirrors of ourselves. Meeting others halfway, compromise, and negotiation come under the rule of Libra. The focus is now on balance–finding balance and harmony through relationships with others and through art. Libra is the sign of the peacemaker.
However, life is not always peaceful with Libra in its attempt to restore balance. Decision-making can be more challenging while the Sun is in Libra. Libra weighs both sides of any situation, and sometimes this process seems endless!
In Libra, the Sun is concerned about not rocking the boat and not rubbing others the wrong way. Tactfulness, style, tolerance, and sociability are some of the keywords for Libra. On the shadow side, Libra can be self-serving, indecisive, passive-aggressive, and superficial.
Mercury is in Libra from September 18-October 6. When Mercury is in Libra, we are diplomatic and friendly. During this cycle, we bring a more rational approach to one-to-one relationships. It’s a good time to think about ways to improve our negotiation skills.
Mercury in Libra can be vacillating energy as we attempt to see both sides of any given situation. Making quick decisions can be more challenging than usual, as we can sit “on the fence.” We may too easily accommodate others’ opinions to keep the peace. In our negotiations, we don’t want to assert ourselves so as to appear to be the “bad guy.” However, this is a reasonable period for considering others’ points of view. We are more inclined to arrive at fair conclusions.
Mercury is in Scorpio from October 6-29 and later, from November 18-December 11 [Mercury transits Scorpio in two parts this year due to Mercury’s retrograde from November 9-29 that begins in Sagittarius and ends in Scorpio]. When Mercury is in Scorpio, our thoughts and communications are more probing and intense. While Mercury in Libra urged us to find balance and arrive at reasonable solutions, Mercury in Scorpio instinctively knows that life simply isn’t fair. Mercury in Scorpio seeks truths in all that is hidden and undercover.
We tend to probe, observe, and focus our thoughts under this influence. Looking for motivations–the more deeply buried, the better–satisfies an intellectual need now. Our thoughts are profound. We throw away superficial manners of communicating in favor of deep conversations.
Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical yet also intuitive. Thinking is inclined to be one-track-minded, focused, and even obsessive.
Mercury-in-Scorpio isn’t shocked by much, or at least keeps its cool even if surprised. During this cycle, our approach is psychological when analyzing, deciding, and studying or observing. We’re not afraid to go places mentally. We get to the heart of a matter or to the bottom line very quickly, usually through instinct. Our resourcefulness and strategy stand out. We’re competitive.
We can be intrigued by motives and secrets or taboos. It’s not easy to take instruction or someone’s word for it–we have to experience it ourselves to draw conclusions. This position of Mercury is one of the most persuasive. It’s an excellent time to research, investigate, troubleshoot, and work on hunches. If left to observe on our own, we do our best thinking, seeking the hidden layers of a situation.
Venus is in Virgo from September 19-October 13. This is a time when we express our love through practical means and gestures–running errands, doing detail work, or just being there for our lovers. Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo.
Virgo is an Earth sign, which is sensual, but Virgo is also quite practical and mental. In addition to our romantic natures, what we purchase and the types of entertainment we enjoy during this cycle are ruled by whether or not they make sense and serve a practical purpose.
We could easily feel guilty if we are too self-indulgent at this time. Rendering services to others can fill a need, and can be an expression of love. The shadow side of this position is being overly critical of our partners or relationships, picky, nervous, or worried.
During the Venus-in-Virgo cycle, we can gravitate to, and find some benefits in, holistic healing, acupuncture, yoga, and nutritional boosts. We’re keenly interested in ways to enrich our lives and boost our well-being. “Health is wealth” could be a motto now. In fact, we might enjoy health-boosting activities more than usual. Businesses promoting nutrition, wholesomeness, and well-being might prosper at this time. Commitment and attention to detail are also more prominently considered virtues now.
In love, we’re not very showy, flowery, or demonstrative. Instead, we show our love through being of service. We’re conservative with money, pleasure, and romance at this time, ready to analyze and dissect these matters. This can also be a time when helping others, particularly with good advice regarding these Venus-ruled things, can be prominent and successful. We might meet friends or lovers through our work or health-pursuits. We can take a special interest in handiwork, crafts, lists/sorting, and bookkeeping.
Mars is in Scorpio from September 22-November 4. In Scorpio, Mars is driven and focused on getting what it wants. We are persevering, single-minded, and strong. The desire to experience our emotional depths, as well as the urge to penetrate the surface of life in order to explore deeper levels of existence, is powerful. We are fascinated with what others tend to repress, and are drawn to experiencing and understanding these things.
We are less inclined to avoid important issues now. In some ways, we are attracted to crisis, as we see crisis as transformative and emotionally exciting. We would rather feel extreme emotions than nothing at all, as mediocrity or the “middle road” is felt to be unsatisfying.
Jupiter is in Cancer.
Jupiter began its transit of Cancer on June 9th, 2025, and will continue its visit to the sign until June 30th, 2026. Read more about Jupiter’s transit of Cancer.
Saturn is in Pisces. Saturn was in Aries from May 24th, 2025 to September 1st, 2025, and will be in Aries again from February 13th, 2026, to April 12th, 2028. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aries. Saturn isn’t yet completely done with its transit of Pisces. Saturn transits Pisces from March 7th, 2023 until May 24th, 2025, and currently, from Sep 1st, 2025, to Feb 13th, 2026. Read about Saturn’s transit of Pisces.)
Uranus is in Gemini.
Uranus is in Gemini from July 7th to November 7th, 2025, from April 25, 2026, to August 3, 2032, and then from December 12, 2032, to May 22, 2033. Read about Uranus in Gemini in its calendar page.
Uranus will have more work to do in the sign of Taurus from November 7th, 2025, to April 25th, 2026. Uranus began in Taurus in 2018/2019. During this cycle, we approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Pluto is in Aquarius. Read about Pluto’s transit of Aquarius. Note that Pluto finally completed its journey through Capricorn on November 19th, 2024, from which time Pluto stays in Aquarius for many years to come.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Virgo from September 19 to October 13. This is a time when we express our love through practical means and gestures–running errands, doing detail work, or just “being there” for our lovers. Essentially, we fuss over our partners, sometimes a little too much! Our availability and accessibility is a sign of love.
Love needs to make sense and have a purpose with Venus in Virgo. Virgo is an Earth sign, which is sensual but also quite practical. We could easily feel guilty if we are too self-indulgent during this cycle. We can be a little shy and prone to worry. We pick up on many different cues, attempting to analyze every detail of our lovers’ reactions and responses. We could worry ourselves sick agonizing over details! In the process, we can miss out on the bigger and perhaps more meaningful cues.
As well, Virgo is a sign that can live very much in the mind in the middle of an experience, failing to enjoy the moment. Self-consciousness can get in the way of enjoyment. Rendering services to others can fill a need, and can be an expression of love. The shadow side of this position is being overly critical of our partners, picky, or worrisome.
This week: On Sunday, we are more strongly aware of our relationships (or lack) and the pride they give us. Dissatisfaction we might experience now is likely due to inner discontent and yearning for more appreciation from our partners. Going out of our way to make others feel wanted, appreciated, and recognized is appropriate now.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, we’re ready to give one another the benefit of the doubt, and we’re opening up our hearts. The theme is generous and hopeful in our relationships.
Thursday brings somewhat awkward energy for love and connection. We can feel on the fence or undecided. It’s not an ideal time for a full-on expression of feelings. Some pulling back can occur in relationships now, as we are more self-conscious and cautious with our affections.
On Friday and Saturday, there can be a need to be mature in love. We assess our relationships from a practical standpoint, and we can feel inhibited when it comes to expressing our feelings. This can be a time when May-December romances are prominent. We can also be especially sensitive to rejection.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Virgo If it makes sense you love it, and if it doesn’t you feel guilty about it: that’s what it’s like now. A loving attention to details and a sense of satisfaction in doing what is right (especially with respect to your health) are some of the qualities that come to the fore at a time like this.
Venus sesquiquadrate Pluto October 2. Tendencies to look for something wrong in a relationship. Jealousy raises its ugly head.
Venus conjunct Moon’s South Node October 3-4. This is a time for reviewing our attachments in terms of whether they are contributing to our growth.
Venus contra-parallel the Sun October 5. We are more strongly aware of our relationships (or lack) and the pride they give us. Dissatisfaction experienced now is likely due to inner discontent and yearning for more appreciation from our partners. Going out of our way to make others feel wanted, appreciated, and recognized is appropriate now.
Venus sextile Jupiter October 7-8. This aspect generates a happy, friendly, and optimistic attitude. People are a little more outgoing and sociable. Favors travel, education, and culture. Romantic opportunities. Harmony and good will.
Venus contra-parallel Saturn October 9. We may express our affection sparingly, but also responsibly and in practical ways. Relationships begun under this influence often feel burdensome over time, but they may last longer than most. Some pulling back can occur in relationships now, as we are more self-conscious and cautious with our affections.
Venus quincunx Chiron October 9. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Venus opposition Saturn October 10-11. We keep others at arm’s length, unsure of whether we are loved or not. This is a somewhat inhibiting influence when it appears that people value utility over true love. An element of seriousness permeates our love relationships. We may feel criticized and inhibited, unloved and unsatisfied, but our worst enemies may be ourselves and our own fears of getting close to others.
Venus semi-square Mars October 13. Tensions in relationships. Attempting to satisfy romantic needs and assertive/sexual needs simultaneously can be challenging.
Venus opposition Neptune October 13. Not a good time to start a new relationship, which could be characterized by disappointments, and the tendency to feel emotionally (and sometimes financially) drained by the partner. Uncertainties about existing love.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, October 5th, from 8:30 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Saturn), until the Moon enters Aries the next day, Monday, October 6th, at 12:48 AM EDT.
VOC on Tuesday, October 7th, from 2:24 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Taurus the next day, Wednesday, October 8th, at 1:13 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Thursday, October 9th, from 8:31 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Gemini the next day, Friday, October 10th, at 1:12 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Saturday, October 11th, from 10:56 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Cancer the next day, Sunday, October 12th, at 2:37 AM EDT.

Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waxing this week only until the Full Moon on the 6th, which is usually considered favorable for new beginnings, although with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details). The Moon is waning this week after the Full Moon on the 6th, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, also with exceptions.
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from Wednesday, October 8th, at approximately 9:15 PM EDT, until Thursday, October 9th, at approximately 8:30 PM EDT, while the Moon is in Taurus.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury quincunx Neptune. There can be uncertainty and indecision now, as it can be difficult to draw upon intuition or to combine logic and intuition in a cohesive manner. Alternatively, the tendency to daydream can be high, and often at the expense of productivity and clear communication.
Mercury quincunx Uranus. It is difficult to get a point across without rubbing people the wrong way or misrepresenting ourselves. Uncertainty reigns today. Avoid making hasty decisions that you will later regret. Impulsiveness, disorganization, unreceptive to practical advice and/or your ideas are not well-received.
Mercury square Pluto. The tendency to read between the lines with a negative slant is strong during this transit, and can easily stir up trouble. Suspiciousness, making mountains out of molehills, telling others only what we want them to know are possible themes. Mental anxiety or troubles could manifest now. We should try to avoid forcing our ideas on others and strive to maintain an open mind. Compulsive thinking is possible. On the other hand, this influence can suggest the ability to engage in deep, penetrating communication.
Venus sextile Jupiter. Cooperation, consideration for others, cheerfulness, positive attitude towards relationships, romantic opportunities, harmony. Favors financial endeavors. Optimistic spiritual energy is brought to relationships. We tend to connect to a higher purpose regarding our personal relationships and our values, attaching meaning to them. We may enjoy a feeling of well-being now. Ease is experienced in social situations. We are freer with our affections (and our money). This is also a favorable transit for entertaining and socializing.
Sun sesquiquadrate Uranus. During this transit, we feel the need for action, but if we don’t know where we’re headed, we might take the wrong turn. Unexpected changes in plans or events can test our patience, and we might feel a bit out of control. However, they could stimulate us to try new approaches and they certainly act to cut boredom. This transit could offer us the drive to do something new, but avoid making hasty major decisions for the time being.
Venus quincunx Chiron. There may be vague feelings of discontent in relationships; or a choice that needs to be made regarding personal relationships, money, or possessions. Insecurity involving others might make it awkward for us to express our affections naturally or flowingly.
Mars sesquiquadrate Saturn. We are called upon to solve problems, or our plans and efforts meet with resistance. Circumstances seem to block our efforts to assert ourselves. Patience is necessary now, although frustration is very likely. It can feel like more effort than usual is required to complete tasks.
Venus opposition Saturn. Not a good influence for financial endeavors. Burdens are magnified.

OCTOBER 5
The Moon spends the day in gracious, compassionate Pisces. A Venus-Chiron biquintile early today suggests gaining a social advantage by being willing to grow, learn, and listen. We’re especially receptive to one another’s needs. With the Sun’s contra-parallel to Venus, we’re more strongly aware of our relationships and the pride they give us. Any dissatisfaction we experience now can be due to inner discontent and yearning for more appreciation from others. With a Uranus-Juno opposition, some relationships can feel restrictive or limiting to our sense of freedom, individuality, or independence. However, a Pluto-Juno sextile not only facilitates but also ensures the successful sharing of power in our relationships, encouraging a feeling of reassurance and harmony. It fuels pleasant intensity, commitment, and passion.
The Moon is void from 8:30 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a conjunction to Saturn), until the Moon enters Aries tomorrow, Monday, October 6th, at 12:48 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 6
Mercury leaves Libra and enters Scorpio today, where it will transit until the 29th. Later, Mercury will return to Scorpio (from November 18-December 11) due to Mercury’s upcoming retrograde cycle (from November 9-29) that begins in Sagittarius and ends in Scorpio. While Mercury is in Scorpio in the weeks ahead, we seek truths in all things hidden or undercover. It’s a time to probe, investigate, observe, and focus. Looking for motivations––the more deeply buried, the better––satisfies an intellectual need. We discard superficial methods of communication in favor of meaningful conversations. The sign of Scorpio is exceptionally sharp, profound, and analytical. Thinking tends to be one-track-minded and perhaps obsessive during this cycle. Today’s Mercury-Neptune quincunx, however, can challenge our confidence in decision-making. We might waver with uncertainty, or we’re inclined to daydream at the expense of productivity and clear communication. There can be some mental disorganization to manage now.
Tonight, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Aries, and epiphanies can happen as our feelings come to full bloom. This Full Moon reminds us to consider how we are honoring ourselves in the context of our close relationships. New revelations are likely, particularly about our leadership skills, feelings of independence, ability to initiate and begin new things, and close partnerships. With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our lives. But because these new feelings and revelations are emotional, we might want to exercise some care in expressing or acting on them.
The Moon continues its void period until it enters Aries today at 12:48 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 7
The Moon spends the day in the sign of Aries, a pioneering, action-oriented sign. With Mercury’s quincunx to Uranus this morning, however, it can be challenging to gain others’ understanding. We should watch for poorly considered decisions, impulsive communications, and disorganization that can lead to misunderstandings. We may also encounter a lack of receptiveness to practical advice. Mercury also forms a square to Pluto today, stirring some suspicion. We can be determined to get our message across and have others agree with our ideas. This transit may amplify our insecurities and fears of not receiving all the necessary information. It can also raise concerns that others don’t respect our views. However, we should avoid forcing our opinions on others and instead strive for healthy skepticism rather than suspicion or paranoia. Obsessive thinking is possible now, but with self-awareness and mindfulness, we might engage in in-depth, penetrating communication or harness this energy to think more deeply about a matter.
The Moon is void from 2:24 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Jupiter), until the Moon enters Taurus the next day, Wednesday, October 8th, at 1:13 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 8
The Moon enters Taurus early today, and earthy activities and sensual pleasures appeal now more than usual. Venus forms a sextile with Jupiter today, and we’re exceptionally cooperative and ready to give one another the benefit of the doubt. This influence cultivates a mood or atmosphere that promotes tolerance, consideration for others, warmth, and openness. We are more forthcoming, optimistic, and generous than usual. This transit encourages us to loosen up as we tap into our spirit for enjoyment. It has a very positive influence, promoting cooperation, acceptance, inclusivity, and optimism, particularly in our relationships. We are freer and more generous with our affection, time, and money. This is one of the more desirable transits for entertaining and socializing. We bring optimistic spiritual energy to our lives and seek a higher purpose or meaning through our connections and values. Romantic opportunities can emerge, or there can be lucky finds, pleasing purchases, and a hopeful financial outlook or prospects.
Later today, a Sun-Uranus sesquiquadrate suggests we want to make a move, but we may not know where to begin or where to go with our intentions for now. While unexpected changes in plans or events can test our patience, they may also lead to new approaches, resulting in useful, instructive, or interesting detours. We can be reactive, particularly with the Moon’s opposition to Mars also in play, but centering ourselves can help us put more thought into our actions and communications.
The Moon continues its void period until the Moon enters Taurus today at 1:13 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 9
The Moon spends the day in Taurus, and its harmony with Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn promotes a balanced approach to our pursuits. We are practical and realistic, and our judgment is exceptionally sound. Still, there are a couple of picky aspects also in play today. With a Venus-Chiron quincunx, insecurity might make it awkward to express our affections naturally or flowingly. There may be temporary feelings of discontent. With a Mars-Saturn sesquiquadrate, it’s best to slow down in the face of obstacles, as trying to move too fast can create more resistance. Since circumstances seem to block our efforts to assert ourselves, patience is necessary at this time.
The Moon is void from 8:31 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Saturn), until the Moon enters Gemini tomorrow, Friday, October 10th, at 1:12 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 10
The Moon leaves Taurus and enters Gemini early today, at 1:12 AM EDT. The Gemini Moon aligns with Uranus and harmonizes with Pluto, stirring our curiosity and pulling out our communicative nature. It’s a fine time to explore new topics and tackle a variety of tasks. Mercury forms a creative biquintile to Neptune, highlighting our creative intelligence. We are idealistic, spiritually aware, and sensitive. We are more inclusive in our communications, preferring to avoid a me-focused approach and instead focus on our audience or commonalities. It’s a good time to sense trends and interpret dreams, symbols, and hidden meanings.
The Moon continues its void period today until the Moon enters Gemini at 1:12 AM EDT.
OCTOBER 11
The Moon is void from 10:56 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Venus), until the Moon enters Cancer tomorrow, Sunday, October 12th, at 2:37 AM EDT.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Pisces
We may not want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favors the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water.
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
When the Moon is in Gemini
Our basic instinct is to communicate, think, and learn under the influence of Moon in Gemini. We are motivated by a desire for variety and by an instinctive curiosity. The Moon in Gemini is light-hearted, breezy, spirited, and curious, but it can also be restless and fickle.
The Moon in Gemini generally favors the following activities: Mental and communicative actions, and more than one activity at once. Reading, learning, letters and emails, errands, writing, teaching, making connections, cafes, light and airy meetings, short trips.

THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Libra Meeting yourself in another person is the keynote of a new cycle which begins for you now. Relationships – romantic, business, social – are the arena where this drama is played out. In coming to know the other person, forging ties that bind two people, you come to a better understanding of yourself. It’s easy in theory, but it’s only in practice that it comes to mean anything real – so practice until you get it right!
Mercury in Libra A new cycle begins for you, signaling a greater than usual interest in relationships, social connections, and the arts – on a more intellectual level than in the past, most likely. Seeing both sides of an issue, and figuring out resolutions to opposing views: these things take on more importance in your life.
Mercury in Scorpio A pronounced curiosity about taboos and mysteries plays a greater part in your life now. Your mind is on cutting through the nonessentials and penetrating to the core is where your mind is at now; you want to know who (or what) pulls the strings. Sex, taxes, investments, and others of life’s most compelling phenomena may captivate your interest more than ever before.
Venus in Virgo If it makes sense you love it, and if it doesn’t you feel guilty about it: that’s what it’s like now. A loving attention to details and a sense of satisfaction in doing what is right (especially with respect to your health) are some of the qualities that come to the fore at a time like this.
Mars in Scorpio Tear it down and build it up again, reach in and pluck out the offending element: that’s what the new cycle you have entered is like. Power becomes a compelling idea, perhaps even an aphrodisiac – and you’ve got a stronger than usual supply of it now. Use it, don’t abuse it – or you might find that it’s a two-edged sword!
Jupiter in Cancer Taking care of yourself and all that’s yours becomes a high priority in your life now. Security, setting down roots, establishing your ties with the past: these things are among the articles of faith that guide you. This is often a sign of growth in all things connected with family and property (such as real estate).
Saturn in Pisces Making peace with the past, coming to terms with karmic debts: these are some of the issues that confront you as a new phase begins in your life. Failure to face these things can cause setbacks and put obstacles in your path. Learn to look beyond the narrowly personal and selfish or you’ll get in over your head.
Uranus in Gemini New ideas, new input, and new ways of exchanging these things with others – all these and more become increasingly important factor in your life now, as you enter into a new phase. This is a period of enhanced mental activity, a nonstop stream of consciousness, of trying out new concepts and perspectives.
Neptune in Aries The frontier spirit is alive and well as a new cycle dawns in your life. Independence and originality take on a kind of primal importance for you; you tend to put these qualities on a pedestal, above all else. Fresh starts, new possibilities … these are the visions that light a spark in your soul. But what of the weak, the ones who aren’t free, the ones who get left behind?
Pluto in Aquarius Reform, revolution, a rejection of the past and a focus on the future: these are the signatures of the new phase now beginning in your life. Tradition becomes irrelevant, and the conventional wisdom is revealed as dogma or outright nonsense – and what’s the difference, really? Radical changes in all things social and intellectual.
