The NEW MOON/SOLAR ECLIPSE occurs on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 4:28 PM EDT.
On Saturday afternoon, a New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs in the sign of Taurus. It serves as a powerful prompt to start fresh.
This eclipse is the second in a Taurus-Scorpio set that began in November 2021 with a Lunar Eclipse in Taurus. It’s the first Solar Eclipse in Taurus in this set. Its effects can be felt for six months.
In the sign of Taurus, this eclipse brings a strong focus on matters related to personal finances, values, ownership, physical and material resources, personal possessions, feelings of worthiness, desire for safety and security, resistance to change, comfort, sensuality, and familiarity. New beginnings regarding all of these life departments are possible, and long-term changes are in the works!
A similar Solar Eclipse occurred on April 29th, 2014. An eclipse set along the Taurus-Scorpio axis most recently occurred from 2012 to 2014. Before that, it was from 2003-2004.
This Solar Eclipse occurs when Venus is tightly (partile) conjunct Jupiter in Pisces. Since Venus is the ruler of this eclipse, it’s particularly significant. It aligns with Uranus and harmonizes with Mars, and we can get off to a great start mentally as we embark on new beginnings.
This Taurus eclipse is about strengthening our sense of security. It’s a time for re-evaluating our relationship with money and possessions and discovering what it is that truly makes us happy and fulfilled. It‘s also a period for considering new ways of increasing our income or earning power. New and potent energy is with us for taking charge of our personal possessions and finances.
We should be concentrating on what it is we can do to increase our own feelings of self-worth. We are asked to get in touch with what it is that we truly value and want in our lives, and to part with those things or situations that are not, or no longer, contributing to our feelings of worthiness. This includes identifying those things that give us a false sense of security.
This phase of the Moon occurs at 10 degrees and 28 minutes of Taurus, affecting people with personal planets and points at approximately 5 to 15 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) most significantly.
The same chart wheel is below with additional points:
This second chartwheel includes Eris, Chiron, and the major asteroids.

This week: The Sun is in Taurus; Mercury is in Taurus to the 29th, when Mercury moves into Gemini; Venus is in Pisces; Mars is in Pisces.
The Sun is in Taurus from April 19-May 20. In Taurus, the Sun is methodical, sensual, and receptive. The Sun in Taurus is most active when it is defending or resisting! As the Sun moves through Taurus when plants take root, our determination and security needs are strong. Taurus is loyal to all that is familiar and values longevity. The shadow side of Taurus is possessiveness and bullheadedness.
The Sun in Taurus is the connoisseur and sensualist. It’s patient, stubborn, earthy, stable, and rooted. The Sun-in-Taurus cycle is a good one for maintaining or building, as well as enjoying and appreciating what’s already in place. While the Taurus Sun is slow to warm up, it’s stable and persevering once it does. We value what’s long-term, strong, and lasting during this phase.
Mercury is in Taurus from April 10-29, and later, May 22-June 13. When Mercury is in Taurus, our thinking is down to earth, solid, and grounded. Common sense reigns over more fanciful thinking. We communicate more deliberately under this influence, and our minds are oriented to the world of the five senses. We prefer the tried and true rather than new ways of thinking.
Attention to one thing at a time can simplify our lives, but we may be in danger of narrow, overly conservative, or rigid thinking. It’s a time of practical intelligence and comfortably-paced decisions and thought processes. We’re capable of (and content with) rote, routine, deliberate, or monotonous work and methods.
Mercury is in Gemini from April 29-May 22, and later, June 13-July 5. When Mercury is in Gemini, we are especially communicative, curious, and sociable. Mercury rules Gemini and feels right at home in the sign. We tend to take more pleasure in gaining a superficial knowledge of many subjects rather than dig deep into any one topic.
When it comes to making a point or debating, we are especially astute while Mercury is in Gemini. We are attracted to wordplays, puns, and negotiations, and we’re easily distracted. It’s a time when we’re more interested in trivia, information tidbits, and detached observations. There can be frequent changes of mind and subject. We’re flexible and quick to grasp topics.
Venus is in Pisces from April 5-May 2. Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach, as there is a longing for something that is difficult to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deceived because we want to believe, as well as evasiveness. We should watch for falling in love with an idealized image of something or someone. It’s also important to watch for avoidant or indirect behavior.
Venus is exalted in Pisces and does well in the sign. It’s devoted, compassionate, exceptionally giving, and capable of sacrifice. We might refer heavily on our intuition with our finances and love life during this cycle. We gravitate to–and appreciate–unusual, tossed aside, poetic, artistic objects, situations, and people. We seek activities that move, inspire, or touch us.
Money may slip through our fingers, or we could ignore or overlook some of the practical elements of our lives now. However, finances improve if we connect with our otherworldly talents, imagination, desire to heal and serve, or sense of mission.
This transit is not particularly strong for resolve or determination, but it’s good for adaptability and increased understanding or acceptance.
Mars is in Pisces from April 14-May 24. We tend to feel less motivated to go after traditional goals, and more motivated to pursue spiritual or emotional drives during this cycle. We dislike confrontation during this trend. Our output is variable rather than straightforward, and our energy is similarly up and down.
We may put others’ needs ahead of our own, and our more idealistic side comes to the fore. During this cycle, going after what we want becomes less straightforward and more complicated!
Jupiter is in Pisces from December 28th, 2021, to May 10, 2022. Jupiter returned to Pisces on December 28th, 2021. This is part two–there will be another part to this 3-part act later in the year! Read more about the Jupiter in Pisces transit. You might also want to look ahead and read about Jupiter’s upcoming transit of Aries.
Saturn transits Aquarius from March 21 to July 1, 2020, and from December 17th, 2020, until March 7, 2023. Read about Saturn’s transit of Aquarius.
Uranus is in Taurus.
Uranus transits Taurus from May 15, 2018, to November 6, 2018, and then from March 6th, 2019, until 2025/6. We approach money and personal possessions in new ways and learn to free ourselves from certain material constraints. Innovative ways to make ourselves comfortable emerge. We’re less inhibited about expressing sensuality, self-love, body love, and pampering. Above all, we’re challenging what we previously valued during this cycle.
There can be abrupt changes with money, valuables, possessions, and income that lead to a reshuffling of priorities or values. Income might come from non-traditional sources or ventures. In general, we’re bringing progressive ideas to the world of business. New ways of doing business, as well as making, viewing, and handling money, are likely. Our income and the energy we put into making money can be variable.
Romance & Relationships
Venus is in Pisces from April 5 to May 2. Like Aquarius, Pisces love is universal. However, Pisces draws no bounds in love. With Venus in Pisces, we have compassion (and perhaps attraction) for those who are left out, overlooked, or victimized. We are self-sacrificing, and we have a hard time setting up borders. The walls go down, we have a hard time saying no (especially if our compassion is engaged), but we are also prone to avoiding all that makes us feel uncomfortable.
Wishful thinking is one expression of Venus in Pisces. We can too easily believe what we want to believe. People can be hard to pin down, and love is hard to define under this influence. Pisces never sees the world in black-and-white terms. Rather, Pisces sees all the colors of the rainbow. With the goddess of love in Pisces, our love is all-embracing, we are able to forgive and understand, we are seducible and seductive, and we show compassion to our partners.
Venus in Pisces is tender and affectionate, although hard to reach nevertheless, as there is a longing for something that is hard to define and hard to satisfy. Borders and boundaries blur under Venus in Pisces. The shadow side of this position is allowing ourselves to be deluded, as well as evasiveness.
This week: On Monday, the 25th, we’re anxious to grow and improve, and we may draw in situations that help us do just that. We see cooperation as a positive.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the 26-27, a yearly alignment between Venus and Neptune occurs, and we’re especially sensitive to and aware of beauty and spirituality. We’re seducible and can be seductive. This is a psychically open time, but also a period when we may be seeing what we want to see rather than what is. It can be a highly romantic time, and we can be more understanding and compassionate with one another. This energy is even stronger with these planets also parallel.
On Saturday, the 30th, there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse, and a Venus-Jupiter alignment expands our feelings. Our passions are stirred and intense, but we’re generous with one another, ready to give each other the benefit of the doubt. We have large appetites for love and pleasure. There may be some overstating or overindulgence now, however.
Venus, the Goddess of Love: Highlights in the Coming Week:
Venus in Pisces A martyr complex, a love for the underdog, a search for your soul mate: such are the experiences associated with the new cycle you’re now just beginning. A yen for soul-stirring romance, a weakness for the weak, and a tendency to idealize people and relationships … very aesthetic, very other-worldly.
Venus sextile Uranus April 17-18. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, and we happily embrace all that is new, unusual, and out-of-the-ordinary with regards to romantic involvements. We are ready to experiment, but not necessarily ready to commit.
Venus sextile North Node April 25. There is a stronger desire to connect to and belong with others at this time. We are more obliging and sociable.
Venus conjunct Neptune April 26-27. New and fresh beginnings on romantic levels characterize this transit. Heightened sensitivity to, and awareness of, beauty and spirituality. We are easily influenced, seducible and seductive, and given to strong powers of imagination. We are more attuned to the world of beauty and romance. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. A “magical” time on a romantic and social level, but it could also be a confusing or illusory influence as well. Psychic openness and compassion.
Venus parallel Neptune April 26-27.
Venus conjunct Jupiter April 30. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. An excellent time (all things considered) to begin a new relationship, or renew an old/existing one.
Venus sextile Pluto April 30-May 1. Subtly powerful and uplifting time for romantic/sexual relationships. New insights into relationships and love. Strong attractions.
Venus parallel Jupiter April 30-May 1. We are charitable with others and have a stronger desire than usual to find meaning in our relationships. There may be some overstating or overindulgence now, however.
Venus semi-square Uranus May 1-2. Uncertainty about the desire to be close to someone. Freedom versus closeness. A desire to experiment in the romance department may be fleeting and ultimately unsatisfying or frustrating.
Venus sextile Mercury May 5-6. Favors playfulness in love and enhanced communication between partners. Romantic overtures, expressions of love and affection, making new social contacts. This is a time when promises, pledges, and clarifications (usually very positive!) are made in love relationships.
Venus contra-parallel Jupiter May 7-8. We’re optimistic and ready to take a chance or give someone or something the benefit of the doubt. We are able to make the best of a situation now. Watch for overextension. It’s best not to overstate or make big promises based only on the good mood of the moment.
Venus semi-square Saturn May 10-11. Feelings of isolation, of not getting what we really want, and of not being loved the way we want to be loved can get in the way of pleasant relations with our partners.
The Moon & Timing
The Void of Course Moon is the period of time after the Moon has made its last aspect in one sign until the Moon enters a new sign. During the Void of Course Moon periods, it is generally wise to stick to routine rather than to begin new projects.
The last aspect the Moon makes before changing signs is indicated here and is indicative of the “outcome” of the matter (whether that is a new project begun before the void period or the answer to a question in Horary Astrology).
Void of Course in Horary Astrology: If you were asking a question and making a chart to determine the answer, as you do in Horary astrology, it is said that since the Moon is not looking forward to any more aspects in this sign, you would have to say that the answer is not forthcoming; any questions asked at this time would not come to pass.
The Moon being Void is one of the Strictures against Judgment in Horary Astrology. The following tables incorporate the modern planets, but some astrologers do not count Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in void Moon calculations.
The Void-of-Course Moon this Week:
Void-of-course Moon on Sunday, April 24th, from 8:35 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mercury), until the Moon enters Pisces the next day, Monday, April 25th, at 6:16 AM EDT.
VOC Moon on Wednesday, April 27th, from 9:36 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Aries at 12:11 PM EDT.
VOC Moon on Friday, April 29th, from 5:38 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Taurus at 8:19 PM EDT.
April 2022:
Timing with the Moon – Better Periods this Week for Electing New Initiatives
It’s important to note that there are more factors to consider in addition to the windows listed below. The following windows are starting points. For example, you generally don’t want to elect a new venture when a very challenging aspect is applying, and it’s preferable to elect a time when a particularly positive aspect hasn’t yet perfected (is applying rather than separating).
The Moon is waning this week until the New Moon/Solar Eclipse on the 30th, which is generally considered unfavorable for new beginnings, with some exceptions. (See Best Time to Start a Business for more details).
According to principles of timing with the Moon, a window of opportunity occurs this week from Monday, April 25th, at approximately 6:20 AM EDT, until Wednesday, April 27th, at approximately 9:30 AM EDT, while the Moon is in Pisces.

This Week’s Calendar
This Week’s Aspects
Mercury square Saturn. Getting from point A to point B can be a challenge during this transit due to obstacles. Communications may be blocked or delayed, and negative thinking could dominate at this time. Projects we thought were complete may need revision, and others could appear overly critical, insensitive, or sarcastic. It’s difficult to trust our instincts, and we second-guess things automatically under this influence. Avoid signing on the dotted line at this time.
Mercury sextile Neptune. Intuition runs high; we are more sensitive artistically; imagination is stirred; and we have an increased appreciation for subtleties. We are inspired and we are able to inspire others with our words.
Mercury sextile Jupiter. Positive thinking, new insights, and cooperation are themes now. This influence favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, submitting applications and forms, test taking, and making diagnoses and observations. This is a time when we more readily exercise good judgment, take a more philosophical approach to thinking, and are more open to learning.
Venus conjunct Neptune. New and fresh beginnings on creative levels characterize this transit. Heightened sensitivity to, and awareness of, beauty and spirituality. We are easily influenced, seducible and seductive, and given to strong powers of imagination. We are more attuned to the world of beauty and romance today. Gentleness with others is the best way to harness this energy. A “magical” time on a romantic and social level, but it could also be a confusing or illusory influence as well. Psychic openness and compassion.
Mercury trine Pluto. Our mental faculties are attuned to otherworldly impressions, offering us increased insight, psychological understanding and awareness, and focused attention.
Mercury semi-square Chiron. Communications may be careless, hurtful or perceived as hurtful under this influence. It can be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate now. There may be impatience with rules, worry or guilty feelings, and conflicting viewpoints now.
Sun semi-square Neptune. Our willpower is low as we stray from our goals and temporarily lose focus. It’s difficult to formulate — or stick to — clear goals during this transit. Concentrating on artistic or spiritual pursuits is better than focusing on matters that require straightforward, factual thinking today. It can be difficult knowing where or how to direct our willpower under this influence. It’s also a challenge knowing where we stand with others. Avoid such things as scheduling surgery, important appointments, job interviews, or launches of new projects at this time.
Venus conjunct Jupiter. A potentially magical transit when we are especially generous and giving, optimistic, and kind towards others. We might also be quite indulgent under this influence. We might be tempted to overspend or overstate our feelings now. We are sociable, fun-loving, and desirous of sharing our happiness with others. We have large appetites for love and pleasure, and generosity of spirit as well. This can be an excellent influence for beginning a new relationship or financial undertaking, or for renewing and refreshing existing ties with others.

APRIL 24
The Moon spends the day in Aquarius, and we gravitate to unusual and different activities. However, Mercury forms a square to Saturn this morning, and we may need to get over a hump. There can be misunderstandings, information lags, criticism, or a lack of direction/instruction to manage. We could be preoccupied with serious or weighty issues. There can be difficulties getting our message across or physically getting somewhere. Temporarily, it’s challenging to trust our instincts. It may be best to seek the motivation to make changes rather than focus too heavily on flaws and limitations. Editing and improving make sense now as we may encounter resistance if we push ahead. We might deal with disapproval, and we should draw on patience. We might recognize some of our limits and adjust our speed accordingly–it’s a better time for maintenance than it is for moving forward.
However, as the day advances, a Mercury-Neptune sextile smooths things out, completely turning things around. It stirs our imagination. We can experience a sense of knowing and understanding with minimal explanation or instruction. Intuition is highlighted or awakened, and we creatively apply it to practical matters. We appreciate subtleties, aiding our understanding of others and situations. We are more readily inspired, and we might inspire others with our words. There is psychic openness in our interactions, and our communications are notably gentler or more compassionate.
The void Moon occurs from 8:35 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Mercury), until the Moon enters Pisces tomorrow, Monday, April 25th, at 6:16 AM EDT.
APRIL 25
The Moon continues its transit of Aquarius until 6:16 AM EDT, from which time the Moon is in Pisces. The Pisces Moon is idealistic and spiritually aware. We’re processing and digesting recent events at this time of the lunar month. The Moon aligns with Mars this evening, and we act on our intuition, creative impulses, and feelings. We’re seeking inspiration today, and we may have trouble gaining the motivation or energy to take action on a matter without it. Venus forms a sextile to the true North Node of the Moon, facilitating cooperation and positivity in our social lives. We want to grow and improve, and we may draw in situations that help us do just that.
The void Moon period continues today until until the Moon enters Pisces at 6:16 AM EDT.
APRIL 26
The Moon spends the day in Pisces, harmonizing with Uranus this morning, and emotional or mental refreshment helps us gain perspective. This Moon transit also encourages the need to connect with our inner world. We’re heading toward a Mercury-Jupiter sextile that perfects early tomorrow, and it’s a vital time for mind-expanding activities, exercises, and conversations. We take a more philosophical approach to thinking and are more open to learning. It’s a time of optimistic thinking, new insights, and cooperation, especially as the day advances. We are clearer in our thoughts and exchanges, and we’re looking for solutions to problems or the positive side of situations.
APRIL 27
The Pisces Moon (until 12:11 PM EDT) aligns with Venus, Neptune, and Jupiter today, and later today, Venus and Neptune align in Pisces. It’s a time of increased compassion, generosity, and imagination. The meeting of Venus and Neptune in Pisces is a gentle and perhaps subtle influence that heightens our sensitivity to — and awareness of — beauty and spirituality. We can feel renewed on creative levels. With this transit, we are easily influenced, seducible, and seductive. Our imaginations are immense, for better or for worse. Psychic openness and compassion are themes in our interactions now. It can be a magical time on a romantic or social level, but it could also be a confusing or illusory influence. The Moon heads into the sign of bold, initiating Aries at 12:11 PM EDT, encouraging us to start fresh or take on a new challenge. The Aries Moon brings on a more focused, active theme.
The void Moon occurs from 9:36 AM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a sextile to Pluto), until the Moon enters Aries at 12:11 PM EDT.
APRIL 28
Mercury forms a trine to Pluto this morning, helping us discern matters and focus our minds. The potential is with us for profound insight, psychological understanding, awareness, and focused attention. We seek the hidden message and readily draw upon our powers of persuasion. It’s a good time to devise strategies and make observations. We are exceptionally skilled at solving problems and getting to the bottom line. Dealing with doubt and guilt today can help clear the path for opportunities, although it may not be straightforward with Mercury’s semi-square to Chiron this afternoon. This transit challenges us to communicate with more sensitivity. The Moon spends the day in enterprising, active, decisive Aries.
APRIL 29
Pluto turns retrograde and will remain retrograde until October 8th. This station and shift of direction tends to bring about some initial confusion, heaviness, and magnification of problems. However, Pluto’s retrograde cycle itself is an excellent period for research and gaining new insight into our self-destructive tendencies, control needs, and search for the truth by looking within. Outward pressures may ease somewhat during this period. Over the coming months, we may be reassessing how we use our power. The Sun forms a semi-square with Neptune today, and there may be some indecision or listlessness. Our willpower may not be as strong as usual as we stray from our goals and temporarily lose focus. This aspect serves as a gentle reminder to consider our needs for downtime, fantasy, or spiritual refreshment. On this day before a New Moon Solar Eclipse, it makes sense to wind down. As well today, Mercury moves into Gemini. This cycle lasts until May 22nd, but due to Mercury’s upcoming retrograde cycle (from May 10th to June 3rd), Mercury will later return to Gemini from June 13th to July 5th. Mercury rules Gemini and is exceptionally comfortable in the sign. This transit piques our curiosity and motivates us to reach out, learn, and share.
The void Moon occurs from 5:38 PM EDT, with the Moon’s last aspect before changing signs (a square to Pluto), until the Moon enters Taurus at 8:19 PM EDT.
APRIL 30
The New Moon, partial Solar Eclipse occurs today at 4:28 PM EDT. In the sign of Taurus, the focus is on matters related to personal finances, values, ownership, physical and material resources, personal possessions, feelings of worthiness, desire for safety and security, resistance to change, comfort, sensuality, and familiarity. This eclipse can prompt new beginnings with any of these things. It’s about strengthening our sense of security, re-evaluating our relationship with money and possessions, and discovering what truly makes us happy and fulfilled. It’s a time to consider new ways of increasing our income or earning power. Circumstances challenge us to get in touch with what we value and want in our lives and perhaps part with those things or situations that aren’t contributing to our feelings of worthiness.
Venus aligns with Jupiter shortly after the eclipse, and with this proximity, this influence takes on more power. It encourages much hopefulness, generosity, and friendliness. We more readily give one another the benefit of the doubt. We’re cooperative and forgiving. This transit can also elevate our expectations! We can be indulgent or tempted to overspend or overstate our feelings. Our love of learning, exploring, and sharing are in the spotlight, and our appetite for love and pleasure is especially strong. We’re opening our hearts and perhaps wallets as well.

Moon Signs This Week:
When the Moon is in Aquarius
Attraction to all that is new and unusual, and an instinctive need for improvement, characterize the Moon in Aquarius. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal, under this influence. This is a time that promotes social gatherings, dealing with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, and progressive changes. We are open to new methods of doing things and we have our eye on the future. It can be hard to stick to schedules now, as personal freedom is most important to us.
The Moon in Aquarius generally favors the following activities: Unusual or radical undertakings, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, joining a group.
When the Moon is in Pisces
We may not want to face reality while the Moon is in dreamy, impressionable Pisces. It can be a wistful, sensitive, intuitive, and compassionate time. We are especially imaginative, and our intuition reigns under this influence. Boundaries and walls come down, as Pisces energy merges and blends. It's a time when details are overlooked and feelings defy description.
The Moon in Pisces generally favors the following activities: Imaginative undertakings, mystical or spiritual pursuits, inner development, music and drama, going on a retreat, activities involving water.
When the Moon is in Aries
We're motivated by a strong desire to start fresh. A gut instinct to begin something new is with us now, as well as the gumption to do so. Our pioneering impulses are strong, and we feel energetic, spontaneous, and enthusiastic. We may also be tactless and impulsive now. Excess energy is best channeled into physical activity.
People can be more self-motivated and also self-focused while the Moon is in Aries. It's a competitive rather than cooperative time. Accidents and tempers flaring are more likely than usual. This period is one of more personal courage.
The Moon in Aries generally favors the following activities: Quick actions that yield immediate results. Undertakings that involve the self and the personality. (Staying power may be lacking). Self-assertion, taking on challenges, beginning short-term projects.
When the Moon is in Taurus
We are motivated by the desire for serenity, security, peace, and comfort. The Moon is at her most sensual and constant in Taurus. Our basic impulses are to relax, resist change, and "stop to smell the roses." Life slows down a little, and we get comfortable. We may also be inclined to stubbornness and materialism under this influence.
While the Moon is in Taurus, people can be emotionally constant but inflexible. It's a time of stronger focus on personal needs and comfort levels, and a period of more common sense and attention to practical matters.
The Moon in Taurus generally favors the following activities: Substantial and material actions that yield solid results. Financial activities, and those involving personal possessions, applying for a loan, beginning a potentially long-term relationship, music, home decor.
Upcoming Weeks: Calendars
THIS WEEK’S PLANETARY POSITIONS BY SIGN (General Trends):
Sun in Taurus The cycle now dawning in your life emphasizes stability, substance, practicality, and the concept of value – value in the material as well as psycho-spiritual sense. This marks a time of building to last, of appreciating the substantial rather than ephemeral. Consolidating past gains rather than focusing on radical new departures is likely to be a major theme for you during this cycle. Appreciating the finer things of life is another hallmark of this phase, which marks a time when you should be concentrating on “smelling the roses” rather than passing them by in such a hurry.
Mercury in Taurus “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” – that’s the key to the way you think at a time like this. Practical, utilitarian ideas are the ones that make the most sense now – putting them to good use is a focus for you. Material things are foremost on your mind in many respects: an emphasis on the real rather than the ideal.
Mercury in Gemini A walking encyclopedia, a yen to know a little bit about everything (and everyone): these are the icons of the cycle you have just begun. Talking, writing, keeping a finger on the pulse of all that’s happening … this is a time of study and learning, a cycle of mental challenge, curiosity, and social/intellectual growth. Such things are an end in themselves rather than a means to any other end.
Mars in Pisces There’s a martyr complex in the air, now that this new phase has begun in your life. How can you (or anyone) save the world? It’s a question you’ll probably ask yourself as this cycle continues. Defending the weak, undoing injustice, and tilting at windmills can be a big temptation. You might even win a few hands – but you’ll blister a couple if you’re not careful.
Jupiter in Pisces Mysticism, sensitivity to the needs of others, and an awareness of karma (the link between the present and the past): these are your paths to spiritual growth now. Addressing these issues brings you gain and satisfaction at many levels. A tolerance for differences, an understanding of human frailties and shortcomings.
Saturn in Aquarius Ideals are in for a period of testing, as a new phase begins in your life. What are principles worth, unless they are put into practice? That’s an important question for you now. This could mean you may be disappointed by causes you believe in – but if you abandon your principles, you lose.
Uranus in Taurus Practicality and ingenuity combine as powerful drives in your life now that you have begun a new cycle. Taking innovative concepts and making them real and practical is your strong suit; getting stuck in the mud is to be avoided at all costs. Financial savvy, inventiveness, worldly genius.
Neptune in Pisces Things spiritual and psychic take the driver’s seat of your imagination as you begin a new cycle. The fine arts and all manner of fantasies assume a larger-than-life importance. Surrendering to fate, karma, and other powers greater than merely mortal may be seen as the ultimate liberation. If all is Maya (illusion), what is the reality that gives rise to the world of appearances?
Pluto in Capricorn As this new phase dawns for you, the pursuit of social/political power and status has a way of seeming necessary and inevitable – and let nothing stand in its way. It starts out small but has bigger consequences than you’d think. Ambition, responsibility, a place for everyone, and everyone in their place…
