Void of Course Dates this Month
Last month, on January 29th, the New Moon occurred in Aquarius, and this lunation influences the first weeks of February 2025. This energy prompts us to make a clean break or a “fresh start.” We awaken our minds to a need for a vision, socializing and brainstorming, expressing feelings of friendship, and developing more objectivity in our lives. We’re determined to start fresh. In the sign of Aquarius, friendship, brotherhood, group activities, social pursuits, group projects, trying something new, humanitarian efforts, or joining a group are a strong focus.
On February 4th, Jupiter stations and turns direct after retrograde motion since October 9th, 2024. This change of direction can mark a turning of the corner for certain projects and relationships. It’s also about our outlook and attitude–we experience increasing enthusiasm. With Jupiter direct, our confidence in ourselves, our beliefs, and the universe is building. We are more lighthearted and ready to share ourselves and what we’ve learned with others. Our dreams and goals are in focus, and they’re moving along!
On February 7th, Neptune aligns with the True Node of the Moon. The Moon’s North Node entered Pisces last month and now forms a conjunction with Neptune. We’re learning to put more faith or trust in a bigger plan. Our path is to develop our love for ourselves and others through growing our compassion and understanding. It’s a time to learn more humility as we recognize that we (and others) are not perfect and don’t have to be. This can be a time that emphasizes spiritual community. We’re in tune with the current social trends and vibes.
On February 12th, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Leo. This lunation reminds us of needs we may have been putting to the side–there can be an urgent or sudden need/desire to express ourselves around this lunation. We are more powerfully aware of our creative, romantic, and expressive urges. Something is exposed or illuminated, prompting us to get in touch with those things in our personal lives that we may have been neglecting or putting off. This Leo Moon is proud and intensely individual.
On February 23rd, Mars stations and turns direct after retrograde motion since December 6th, 2024. Slowly but surely, confidence in our ability to assert ourselves and effect change increases. We begin to rebuild our enthusiasm, projects that have stalled move forward, and we feel more confident and assertive. Mars will leave its post-retrograde shadow on May 2nd, 2025. This retrograde Mars cycle began in the sign of Leo but Mars returned to the sign of Cancer on January 6th.
Until February 23rd, we might experience smoldering anger, finding it hard to discover direct and healthy expressions or outlets for frustrations. We can be more pensive and cautious, taking our time to reach our goals. If we push ahead impulsively anyhow, we run into problems, obstacles, and frustrations. Cancer rules our inner foundations as well as outer ones–our homes, domestic affairs, and relationships with family. As such, we may need to re-assess our approach to our home lives. We are apt to feel some frustration or anxiety about our basic sense of comfort and security–our roots– and with regards to the development of our domestic affairs. Health issues may be a factor (especially in areas ruled by Cancer, including the stomach), and accidents a possibility throughout the Mars retrograde period.
On February 27th, the New Moon occurs in Pisces, stirring a new beginning and prompting us to start fresh. We awaken to the need for a spiritual vision or more magic in our lives. It’s time to revitalize ourselves through experiences that require imagination, compassion, gentleness, or that simply represent a “break” from the routine. We may put something behind us in order to begin anew.
