Void of Course Dates this Month

On November 9th, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Scorpio, prompting a new beginning–we’re starting anew. We’re encouraged to move away from our comfort zone and to welcome new ways to live, heal, and transform. It’s a time for taking a good look at what we may have chosen to sweep under the carpet. Taking the time to understand others’ motives can enrich our feelings of intimacy, forgiveness, and a sense of meaning.
We might use this cycle to focus on and develop one special project or relationship to help add purposefulness and depth to our lives. It can also be a time to seek ways to release our fear of confrontations and heavy emotional situations. We’re discovering that although they may be uncomfortable, these situations can lead us toward psychological healing. We’re receiving a strong prompt to approach our intimate relationships, power dynamics, shared resources, and dependencies in new and improved ways.
This New Moon widely aligns with retrograde Mercury and widely squares the Mars-Jupiter alignment in Leo, and it’s hard to see our path, but our discomfort with the past can be very real now, motivating new beginnings. We may be looking to drum up support from others and motivation from within to accomplish our goals. However, we might struggle with a concurrent desire to be more aboveboard or direct instead of strategic… Read more about this New Moon in Scorpio on its calendar page.
On November 12th, Jupiter aligns with the Moon’s South Node. This is the first in a set of three. We may be avoiding our need to contribute to the community by prioritizing our personal needs and lives. Jupiter’s alignment with the South Node of the Moon (which means it’s opposite the North Node) points to a tendency to grab at things that comfort us but are no longer serving us well in our growth and development. We should watch for these types of excesses, which can magnify at this time. It can be difficult to trust our intuition under this influence until we can learn to embrace our need to explore, discover, and branch out, detaching ourselves from time to time from our intense personal focus.
While Jupiter encourages us to embrace our personal life, if we don’t balance our vision with our responsibilities to others, we may stagnate or flounder. We can find ourselves at odds with one another over our viewpoints or moral values during this transit. We’re now encouraged to consider new ideas or experiences. The key is to aim for a balance instead of a tug-of-war. It’s time to give back to others to keep the flow of abundance constant… Read more about this Jupiter transit on its calendar page.
On November 13th, both Venus and Mercury turn direct. Mercury turns direct in Scorpio. This retrograde cycle began in late October and lasts until November 13th. While Mercury is retrograde, it’s an excellent period for getting in touch with our instincts, motivations, and “dark” side. Rational approaches to decision-making are often valued, but now is the time to explore our more intimate and emotional natures and how these affect our decision-making processes. We are more sensitive and our emotional “radar” is strong. We should watch that we don’t get into an overly guarded frame of mind, or read too much negativity into what others say. As well, there can be some delays, slowdowns, or backtracking during this period.
In a general sense, retrograde Mercury periods send us to the past for more or previously hidden information. They’re cycles for learning to let go of control, and for thinking about issues in a brand new way. Now that Mercury is direct, …Read more about Mercury’s direct turn on its calendar page.
On November 13th, Venus turns direct, ending its retrograde in the signs of Scorpio and Libra. Venus has been retrograde since October 3rd, beginning in Scorpio, and moved back into Libra on October 25th.
This retrograde gives us the chance to look over and review our affections, relationships, and finances. We may question a current project or commitment during this cycle that allows us to catch up with our heart on a matter. From the 13th, Mercury travels direct and slowly picks up speed, but will only leave its shadow on November 30th. We’re seeking the truth, and we’re not afraid to stir up some controversy in order to find it… Read more about Venus turning direct.
On November 24th, a Full Moon occurs in Gemini, awakening an urgent interest in our immediate environment and daily life. This lunation can bring sudden awareness to our lives and a rather urgent “need to know.” We may want to get an important message across, finish a communications project, or make an announcement. Travel and communications are in strong focus.
This lunation occurs when the Moon aligns with Uranus, squares Mars, and harmonizes with Pluto and Neptune. These influences add an element of surprise to our feelings and revelations. The desire to experience something new, exciting, and bold can figure strongly. There can be a strong urge–or need–to break free from old patterns in our relationships. A powerful sense of mission is with us as we discover, explore, and embrace our feelings, even though we can also feel divided or pulled in different directions… Read more about this Full Moon in Gemini on its calendar page.
On November 29th, Uranus forms a trine with Pluto in and this is the second of five in a set that will extend until May 2028. With this meaningful transit, we more readily tap into our deeper ambitions and motivations, and this knowledge of and connection with our inner selves can lead to terrific new directions. We recognize the need for change and reform, but also realize that having a solid plan of action is to our great benefit.
As such, it can be a time of measured, deliberate change-making. It’s a fine time for forging new alliances and friendships. We might awaken to hidden or dormant talents, including inventiveness, or recognize a stronger desire for independence and freedom. The desire for new experiences is compelling… Read more about Uranus trine Pluto.
